alternative medicine antibiotics antimicrobial strategies
gendao replied to Yoda's topic in General Discussion
I think it's always good to have multiple strategies (despite each often touting itself as THE magic bullet), but I am curious about MMS. Seems like it's worth a shot. I have another question now. "Zappers" Dr. Bob Beck & Dr. Hulda Clark both recommend against eating garlic or onions... Beck asserts that it keeps the brain hemispheres separate, and that's why it was "forbidden" in many shamanic/Eastern monasteries, etc. Clark believes that they feed the the Fasciolopsis Buski parasite that she links with causing cancer. Of course, "conventional" alternative medicine has basically upheld garlic as a very potent antipathogen for eons now. And a lot of mainstream medical studies have backed this up too. So, what's the deal here? Is it possible it could also have a few unwanted effects? -
Great write-up...but to me, "body control" may be an even more vague concept than qi? Control, coordination, mind-over-matter...what exactly does he mean by this and how does it allow him to perform prolonged isometrics, etc? And are we sure it doesn't involve qi, but is a completely independent mechanism?

That's why they say you must become a (good) human before a god. That in itself is no easy feat, and is part of the spiritual journey in itself.

The Norwegians beat Zheng He to America, but likely not the Chinese in general. There were actually likely several earlier migration waves, as detailed in my link above. There is archaeological evidence on the coasts and also a lot in Mesoamerica. Including DNA links in Mesoamericans today. Fact is, it is thought that Shang dynasty refugees may have escaped to America and influenced the Olmec civilization and subsequent Mayan/Itzas... As was said though, many migrated to America even before the Chinese. You had older Asians from the Ice Age land bridge 12,000 years ago, probably some Austronesians by rafts, other miscellaneous seafarers and probably Atlantean fugees.. As far as Chinese and the European Renaissance, Chinese mathematical/scientific discoveries did predate the Europeans by long stretches in most cases. Robert Temple has written a good primer on this, with many photos. The evidence has been there, just not well-publicized in the West due to the language/cultural gap. Now, whether these discoveries actually reached and influenced European technology is another question. Obviously, a lot of their higher knowledge was esoteric wisdom filtered through the Greeks from the Egyptians.

And that was actually one of the latter Chinese global expeditions...

Know anything about the supposed peculiar body features of a Buddha? Also, I seem to recall reading somewhere about how the penis withdraws into the body upon enlightenment or Buddhahood or something??

Well, ironically, it is suspected that during his 18 missing years in the Bible, Jesus actually went east and studied with yogis and perhaps even Tibetan Buddhists, thus learning "hands-on healing," siddhis, how to attain his yang light body and pithy fortune cookie aphorisms when he got back... That said, I basically agree with Cam. I wouldn't have gotten too invested in it, cuz pouring tea into full cup generally only make big mess!

Ya, thanks 松永道! BTW, there's supposedly an issue of Empty Vessel detailing WLP's methods. But still don't know which one it is, though???

Increasing spiritual awareness leading to diminished happiness?
gendao replied to nomad's topic in General Discussion
I don't think he's going through a "Dark Night of the Soul" right now, just rebaselining himself after experiencing a higher benchmark. I believe Dark Nights are usually a far more intense soul-searching, where he feels like God has abandoned him. Like Jesus on the cross when he shouted, "Father, Father, why hast thou forsaken me?" -

I'm guessing you're a "noob?" If so, there's often an initial honeymoon period on your path with pyrotechnics and ecstatic fanfare to get you hooked and give you some motivational faith. After this passes, you may fall into a "lull" of working out your deep personality issues and integrating back into the mundane world. Sprituality isn't escapism, it's an expansion. You will always keep a foot in this world, while you're still here. As far as shedding pop junk culture though - yea, that you probably won't return to. Why would you? -

Yikes, still looking up airfares, and it's getting close to crunch time here for final decision...wish I had more time to plan for this. Kind of been distracted lately by the financial upheavals on Wall St. and figuring out how to best preserve my assets. In the meantime, I have a few more questions, though: 1) Does Wang Liping give any group shaktipat/transmission/darshan? IOW, will we receive any type of energetic activation in his presence? According to Sean Denty, it seems like this was the case - at least in smaller group settings? What about a large seminar class, though? 2) What type of dedication does the training entail? Some rumors have it that they include: Right now, I'm internally debating on whether I should just damn the torpedos and go to this seminar, or possibly try for Shen Laoshi's class in December, instead? If WLP does give some energetic activation/transmission and will have nightly sessions with foreign students with sucky (or no) Chinese, then I may just push ahead and try for this class. If not, then I may try for Shen Laoshi's class... Of course, the other unrelated variable right now is our f'n economy, which is in such a critical unstable stage right now. So, next month is not exactly the best time to be letting go of the reins on my life savings for 2 weeks...when big, sudden changes could be happening. Fawk I dunno, decisions, DECISIONS!!!

Yup, as has been mentioned - due to antibiotic/pesticide overusage, bioweapons research and global warming, one of the biggest new threats will be disease. Many of the antibiotic-resistant "superbug" variety. There's Lyme, MRSA, C. diff, "Morgellons," Ebola, bird flu, mad cow, other viruses, parasites, even "super lice" now! Etc, etc. Problem is, since these critters are becoming immune to many modern meds, we will have to go back to using natural home remedies again. In this case, everyone should have a good supply of natural antimicrobials and household disinfectants on hand. We could probably start a long list here. There's actually a host of useful herbs and concoctions, colloidal silver is just one. But I figure the more types you have, the better your chances are. Nearly every modality seems to work a little bit at least, so stacking them together multiplies your odds. Here's just a few good herbs to stock up on (or grow!) - and feel free to add to this list! Turmeric - Natural antimicrobial Ayurvedic blood cleanser. Also fights cancer, Alzheimer's, etc. You can buy 1 lb of it for $6 in bulk foods at your health food store. Garlic/Allicin - This is always a great antimicrobial, although I'm not sure you need to stock up on it since it's generally quite available. Bioprin - Supposedly a Chinese herbal "wonder-drug" formula that is also antimicrobial and fights cancer. Tulsi/Tulasi - Indian "Holy Basil" has adaptogenic, immune-boosting, antimicrobial properties. Do note with natural herbs that you often want to use high dosages since the "active ingredients" are not isolated and concentrated as in pill form. Although they may be more synergistic in their natural holistic form. And that's just the herbal tip of the iceberg. Not to mention other healing modalities like energy healing, frequency machines, etc. I think the bigger problem is that we may have many problems hitting us all at once in combination. Talking about food shortages, also consider bee CCD. Bees are dying off in record numbers now. But, we rely upon bees to pollinate our food crops. Without them, who will? Tack this onto climate change and water shortage as well - not to mention unbridled population growth in many countries - and centralized food supplies could conceivably come up short. BTW, if you want to talk about Reps, there's a whole thread dedicated to them here.

I have felt the unbendable "steel wrapped in cotton/iron body" peng structure that qi can imbue limbs with UPON PHYSICAL CONTACT. I have no doubt in that ability, and that it would give you an IMMENSE advantage in H2H combat... However, the effect is farrr more subtle when projected at a distance via "ling kong jing" empty force. With that, it's generally more of an influence than a physical force. There could be some who could exert it as a "hard force," but I believe they would have to be very high spiritual masters indeed. And the "sacrifices" and training needed to attain that level of ability, are probably not worth just to have that ability itself, lol.

You surrender to God, your Higher Self or whatever higher power you choose. Yes, this does require trust and faith in the Divine, but that's the point. You reach a point in life where you admit that your brain only knows so much and your local ego can only get you so far. You realize that to pass those limits, you must then pass the limits of your own local point of consciousness/ego and accept help from a power far greater than yourself. This is the essence of prayer. Surrender thus demonstrates faith and humility, both attributes that please the gods... And yes, I do find surrender (especially when expressed with sincere pleading) a key to ecstatic experiences.

BRILLIANT observation, TM! JAMES - That is a FANTASTIC idea! Although, I would expand it to medicinal herbs and edible crops - not just "purdy" stuff. I think everyone should start planting some shyt like this everywhere around their hoods (just be sure not to plant anything that might upset the native ecological balance, though). Cuz the more food and herbs we naturally have hanging around, the bigger the last-ditch safety net we will all have. Start sowing all those seeds NOW, folks!

People are so f'n stupid and wasteful. There's so many things we could have already been doing, instead of wasting resources and creating pollution. For example, just imagine how much drinking water & fertilizer lawns suck up! Then add in gas to mow it, with the resulting dirty exhaust pollution. Plus pesticides and herbicides. And all for what? Something we just grow and throw away... When instead, we could all be planting usable crops and fruit and nut trees to help sustain us off the grid. Imagine if we all had made this one change - what an enormous difference it would make in overall national fuel consumption and pollution? But trees must be planted years in advance to bear fruit when you need it. So, I advise everyone to start planting fruit/nut trees now in your backyard and hood. These will come in handy later. Certainly, much more useful than handfuls of dead grass! This is just ONE small example of a small lifestyle/paradigm change that could make a BIG difference if everyone did it. There are many, many others as well...

Like, literally and measurably? Or just perceptually? Cool, please link it here when you do! My friend had a dream about a lion, lately. Could you expound upon these spiritual stories and symbology here?
