Cool pic & news there! Oscar is a really bright and cool guy and will serve as a great integrator there. And I agree, I'm just not into guru yoga. Not saying they can't be helpful, but for me I prefer a direct connection as well. Everyone's different, though.

Yup, you can pull the entity away...but there's probably also something inside him attracting it that needs to be pulled as well.

My hunch is that real SKF is more about not losing your jing. than stealing someone else's... And dual cultivation is about the cyclical exhange of energy - particularly with regards to yin/yang polarity. Whereas, I don't know why someone would really even want to simply leech energy off others like a vampire - when it is freely available all around (and in a much cleaner, more pure form). Who wants to risk absorbing someone else's muck by sucking in their energy? I think a lot of the fears surrounding these practices here could be misconceptions/urban legends. But, what do I know?

^ Cool, thanks... BTW, has anyone been out to Coral Castle (28655 South Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33033) before? I wouldn't mind checking it out while I'm there. And it says it's open daily until 9 PM, so maybe I can make it out one night. Says it's 18 miles away from Santiago's place. And 30 miles from MIA. Looks pretty cool, too! Anyone have any suggestions on how to get out there, besides a cab? -
In ThetaHealing, we're taught to send any spirits to God's Light first before possibly communicating with them. I believe the reason for this is that as soon as you open a line of communication with them, you are essentially opening your space to them. And if they are malevolent, they could then enter and mess some stuff up in you. I mean, probably nothing that can't be fixed, but as a safety precaution, I would rather stay on the safe side and avoid any such hassles. That said, I guess you wouldn't have to do this with your guides or angels, etc. And I think most malevolent spirits would give you some uneasy feeling, by contrast. But, I don't really know. I have a friend who subconsciously invited some entity attacks, but I haven't directly dealt with such myself. As usually, there is something inside you that attracts these suckers, I don't think they just attack random people. And I prefer to stick with all the helpful, benevolent ones instead.

I dunno, I haven't really felt possessed by spirits when doing Kunlun. It just feels like an energetic practice to me. Although, everyone does have spirit guides, guardian angels, etc. or other entities that can influence them. This is not confined to or some special byproduct of Kunlun, though. And maybe it is some type of ling practice of shengong? I am still a bit confused as to why one can get such quick & powerful unique results with it? It is also interesting that Max was the sole survivor of triplets...as well as being struck by lightning at age 6. Elvis was also a survivor of twins - which one might see as giving him the power of 2 men. And I believe there have been at least a few other spiritual masters who were also struck by lightning. So, it may be that these 2 special circumstances endow one with great power and indicate being "chosen" by Heaven. Also glad Sean relented and let WYG back in. I understand the need to protect Max from slander, but at the same time, I think factual rebuttals (vs. censorship) are the best defense against such opinions. Censorship only lets doubts linger and represents the use of force instead of truth. Besides, we all know that WYG would still love to take a Kunlun workshop were one ever conducted in Australia, regardless...

Cool, and I think I found out what the discrepancy was from. For some reason, Google Maps automatically subs in SW 124th St Miami, FL 33176 for 8560 SW 124th Avenue, Kendall, FL 33183. I have no idea why... But, Mapquest seems to do a better job and does say .7 miles for Best Western Kendall Hotel & Suites. So, I can either stay there or twice as far (1.5 mi) away at the Wellesley Inn Miami Kendall for $20 less. Um, how's the weather there? Can I walk 1.5 miles without dripping in sweat? Being a better human is always a great goal. Figured it'd be something like that. Looking forward to seeing you too, then. -

Dude, see if you can make it July 4th weekend, and maybe we can split a room... Cuz Santiago says he might not have another one until September. Which means you would lose 2 months that you could potentially be training his KAP 1. During which time you could conceivably already have awakened your kundalini by! JUST DAMN THE TORPEDOS - PULL THE TRIGGER, YO! -

Thanks, but are you sure that one's only 1/2 a mile away, though? For some reason, every time I Google Map it...I get 3.9 miles? I don't mind walking a mile or so at all, but that would be a bit much, lol. And thanks for the "would if ya could" offer, no problems! Wasn't trying to impose, either. I can still make it, just trying to minimize costs is all. Cool. So, at your level - what kind of goals do you have left? HELL YEA! Nice vids there! I've been trying to pace myself with workshops to minimize costs and give myself time to digest each one. I don't wanna become some flaky workshop junky always looking for the next fix... But, I think yours will be a right one at a right time for me, though. So, I'm psyched! -

Thanks, but the only BW I see near there (12368 SW 94th Terrace, Miami, FL, 33186) is: Best Western Kendall Hotel & Suites (.7 mi) 8560 SW 124th Avenue Kendall, FL 33183 305-271-4848 Rates from $125.99 (or $120) Are you sure it's a Best Western at that location, or another hotel? I would like the cheapest one closest to your house, if within a mile or so of walking distance would be even better. And as long as it's not a flea motel.. Otherwise, I guess this one sounds like the best bet: Country Inn and Suites (Wellesley Inn Miami Kendall) (1.5 miles) 11750 SW MILLS DRIVE Miami, FL 33183 305-412-7795 ~$100/night Or a bit closer, but pricier: AmeriSuites Miami Kendall (1.2 mi) 11520 SW 88th St Miami, FL 33176 $139 (Ok, I just posted all that for my own reference and in case anyone else is interested.) Noww...here's an interesting article on the origin of KAP: So, I think my new goals in spiritual evolution are: Permanent Kundalini awakening Immortality (GDB) Enlightenment -

Ok, damn the torpedos...I just bought my ticket and I'll be there July 4th weekend. Let me know if anyone wants to split a room. Or, I'll even pay a local a fee for room & board and transport, if they wanna make and save me some cash... I think anything would be cheaper than 3 nights hotel and a rental. -
I agree on these points. WYG seems to really both want/not want to believe Kunlun that lives up to his claims, lol. But hey, everyone has their opinions...and they can taken as just such. I also think that for Andrew Lum to recognize Max as having bodhisattva nature is high praise and a strong endorsement. Whatever the real story is (which we will likely not piece together fully from just a few cut & dried soundbites), I think Max's real proof is in his pudding. Who knows, it may be that he was able to do these practices and tap into a deeper lineage behind them in the spirit realm - based upon his own unique gifts. I mean, I know when I did similar "holding the ball" postures like in FG, I didn't get the same results. Of course, I was really blocked up back then and never held it for so long, but I didn't necessarily hear of others attaining that much more from it, either... I can already testify to having several experiences, like the small death experience. Hopefully, when I attain GDB, then I can testify about that too. Although, I also don't fault the skeptical fact-checkers here. In fact, I think all the investigative info here has been very interesting. But for me (like Chris), results still override lineage. I did the academic approach for many years and it left me with nothing but a headful. Only when I consciously decided to start doing experiential work, did I actually reap anything tangible. However, everyone's different and I can respect that - particularly some of the more experienced vets here who have been around the block and might be harder to impress (or fool). And I also think Max may tailor his presentation to his audience. For beginners, he may keep it simple and play up the mystique. Otherwise, it would go too far over their heads. But, if he were having a technical discussion with a more accomplished vet, he could get more technical. In fact, during his lectures, I've seen him field a wide array of questions, sometimes out of left field. But, it's hard to make everyone happy at the same time. Agreed. I don't believe questioning should be taboo...but you also you have to give things a lot more possible latitude in this area since we are dealing with transdimensional experiences here that are not solely confined to the 3rd density plane. And when you are given limited information, you can only draw limited conclusions. Or maybe I'm just a beginner who don't know shit for shat. Except what has personally worked for me so far...

Yea, the airfare I was looking at this morning just suddenly jumped $70! And hotels in the Kendall area are mostly at least $100. So, if I stay 3 nights alone, that's $300. And if I have to rent a car, cuz there's no hotel close enough to his house...another $100. So, I'm still debating now due to all the out-of-towner costs. Would be cool if you could make it and split a room, tho! However, it would be nice if he could hold another one in late July or August sometime. I think with more advance time, the fares could be gotten a bit cheaper and more time to find someone to split costs with. Also, I could get the early bird discount on his workshop. Otherwise, right now I'm looking at easily $1K in costs alone - mostly for travel and lodging. But I could save considerably if I could split those costs with someone. That would make my decision much easier. -

So, there's a KAP 1 on July 5 & 6... I'd sorta like to go to that - but it's coming up fast. Is anyone else here planning on attending this one? That'd be nice if there was another KAP 1 later in July or August. Then again, the airfares for July 4th weekend don't look that bad for some reason. I think I might just have to jump on this one. Anybody else coming and wanna split a room? -
What's the exact mudra? Only index and middle finger straight out, with ring finger and thumb touching?

I have enjoyed every single one of your posts here. So, I hope you will reconsider and still at least post here a little bit from time to time... That would be very nice. But, either way...best wishes. Maybe I'll see you at one of your KAPshops.

The "Get a Job, Have a Wife, Make a Child , Get a Life" Thread
gendao replied to 宁's topic in General Discussion
Well, there was a preliminary causitive conclusion here: And maybe it does help do that, who knows? I'm just saying that many jumped to that conclusion prematurely, IMO. Michael - You have a very Old School view of kids as retirement plans, lol. That's what they do in Asia and other Old World societies, still. Nothing really wrong with that though, as traditional familial roles. However, you can still have all that family stuff without legal marriage, and save yourself the risks and paperwork! Of course, lawyers, family courts, event planners, jewelers, caterers, dressmakers and counselors might lose some of your disposable income, though... -
The "Get a Job, Have a Wife, Make a Child , Get a Life" Thread
gendao replied to 宁's topic in General Discussion
Well, the flaw in that conclusion is that correlation =/= causation. Reality is, women now have more choice and so tend to pick healthier men to marry to begin with. The poorer, unhealthier ones get weeded out by this classist institution reserved for the bourgeoise men of society. Marriage and longevity are just symptoms of this select group of providers. Although, marriage itself could also conceivably reduce high-risk bachelor behaviors like partying, carousing, casual sex and thrill-seeking. And replace them with PTA conferences, workaholicism and lawn-mowing. Meanwhile, divorce (which often goes hand-in-hand with marriage these days) can be completely financially and emotionally devastating to a man. Therefore, caveat emptor. I think that media release is very shaky at best and intentional propaganda at worst. Don't get me wrong, I think love and relationships are GREAT. But, I am far less enthusiastic about legal, static frameworks for those fluid relationships. -
How do you know you're not dreaming right now?

That is really cool. I have a growing temptation to take a KAP course...

Yes, thanks M! It seems to simplify it down to the key basics. I agree, I believe the energetic (qi) level is just one level above the physical. But even deeper than that is the emotional/core issue level. This is the real master switch for a lot of manifold problems downstream. Which is not to say that conventional psychotherapy is the answer. More like spiritually-intuitive psychotherapy that can really trace issues back to their origins - which are often buried in subconscious microdramas or past lives. (And so often not something that would fall within the anti-spiritual paradigm of 20th century materialistic psychology.) I feel it's important for people to clear their own personal issues as well and not just follow an impersonal, blind, mechanical methodology. This branch sometimes gets glossed over or neglected in orthodox training methods. But learning our soul lessons is an important purpose of our lives here. So, how can you neglect that? And personal problems can block our "mechanical" progress, anyways... Agreed. Remember, the universe is ultimately personal, and not an impersonal machine. It talks back and cares. Therefore, I believe sheer mechanical technique will only get you so far. True, and I think that's one of the purposes of full-lotus. Opening your kwa. This would open your root and give you more energetic pressure from below to push up, right?

The Girl Who Silenced The World For 5 Minutes
gendao replied to Xienkula1's topic in General Discussion
This speech was from 16 years ago... Good youthful enthusiasm and idealistic concern. Sprinkled with political naivete and not offering any real alternatives, though. Which is why it ultimately had no real effect. It's easy to remain blissfully ignorant. Less easy to make speeches railing against the status quo. And much harder to actually devise better solutions. But, the last is what actually creates the real change. We need smarter politics and greener technology. We need to close the loop on product lifecyles by converting waste to fuel or fertilizers. And we need to talk less and do more about it.
