MCO, Sternum, Flexing the Rib-Cage, Pumping the Marrow

Very interesting. Sounds similar to Yamuna Body Rolling. Some local practitioner brought these "foot wakers" to the Kunlun class in L.A.: And then gave me a sample treatment on my feet and lower legs using them. It was REALLY cool! Sort of like a combo between chiropractice/biomechanics & reflexology. She massaged my bones using traction to realign them in place, while my feet were pressing on the knobbed domes and I felt energy shoot through my meridians all the way up to my head. But the technique also uses balls and rolling along the rest of the body, another key area in particular being along the spine. Personally, I've intuitively done something like this on my own before with a basketball... However, those domed foot wakers...man, I may have to get some of those! Considering how our feet affect our posture from the ground up and are our energy connection to the Earth...anything to properly align them is GREAT. -
Ok, so you believe that someone who truly believes they are putting a terminally-ill patient out of their misery, at their request with euthanasia - will still suffer bad karma? That makes no sense to me. But by my thesis, both would probably get "good" karma from that. Although, the positive attraction to suicide could linger into future lives and potentially pose a problem there... This is probably why Buddha talked about freeing yourself from ALL karma, because ultimately morality is relative and changing...and any karma just keeps you dualistic and attached to going back for more. So you talk about a separation between the being and his experience...but what about your attachment to the separation between life and death? And the dualistic belief that earthly life = good & death = bad? Like what about someone who doesn't believe death is bad - but just a change? Then, he may not really care when he dies. It just seems a lot of "your karma" is founded upon absolute morality, instead of situational ethics. Which will then keep you attached to this world as you keep chasing "good" karma...which as the "Parable of the Taoist Farmer" teaches, is all relative and changing, anyways. Good becomes bad and bad becomes good. So, all it does is suck you back into the dualistic loop of attachments. But duality does not exist outside of your mind. And all karma is an attachment. Therefore, both must be transcended in the end.

I have a "new" hypothesis for "karma." Maybe it's basically just psychic BAGGAGE. Unresolved issues. Emotions that were not openly expressed and released at the time they arose, and so stayed stuck in the energy body waiting to be released at some later point. Or any strong beliefs that became deeply internalized...that could then stay there for lifetimes. As you can see, it's not really about LOA, "crime & punishment" or even "cause and effect." Although those scenarios often do come into play as a result. But it's really simply about how everyone/everything involved FEELS and believes as a 2-WAY STREET. This would solve the confusing dilemna between "intent" and "acts." Really, it's more about how the subject and the objects of his intent truly FEEL (revealed by their energy bodies) as a result - which creates a similar 2X2 2-way matrix: S+: If he feels good about an intent/action, he will keep wanting it and LOA will probably come into effect here. This is "good" karma on his side, no matter what his effects were on others. O+: If his objects also feel good about his intents/actions, then that is "good" karma on their side as well. S-: If he feels bad about an intent/action, he will probably create a block in himself against it. This block will manifest in repeated situations until he can remove it and get past it. O-: If his objects also feel bad about his intents/actions, then that is "bad" karma on their side and they also suffer a block there that they will have to remove and get past. But, this will also create a matching block in their "abuser" that they will have to be forgiven for to release. So, basically, you end up with 4 possible combinations, and each is at least slightly negative except for the first: S+/O+: Everybody's happy. A round of good karma all around. S+/O-: Bad karma will affect the "victim," and then bounce back at the "abuser" from the victim. Even though the "abuser" directly created no bad karma for himself. So a serial killer with no remorse...will still get guilt projected onto him from all his victims who did feel hurt. S-/O+: The "abuser" creates his own bad karma, but there is none in or from the object. S-/O-: Everybody hurts... So, I don't think there is so much a "cosmic judge" or "absolute morality" per se, here. It's more how our energy bodies react either positively or negatively to these events. Ultimately, it's up to our energy bodies and those we affect that determine how we interpret intents/actions and what type of "karma" they generate. Thus, the same act could have different consequences. - If Bill kills Bob, but they both felt good about it, then there will be good karma from both. - Now, if Bill kills Bob, but they both felt bad about it, then there will be bad karma from both. Bill might feel guilty and need forgiveness. The guilt trip comes from both himself and Bob. Whereas Bob might become fearful in life and develop a complex about what happened. They will BOTH suffer (not just the aggressor) until the issue is resolved. There is no other judge here than Bill and Bob, though (or more precisely, their energy bodies). Ultimately, "good and bad" is decided by what FEELS "good and bad" by us. Of course, "us" being our energy bodies...which may know a lot more than we think and be far from ignorant.

Well, I'm pretty new to the whole cultivation scene. So, I don't have a strong theoretical background here. But I would eventually like to gain a better technical understanding of what exactly goes on.. Of course, fortunately that's not a prerequisite to doing the practice. No, I will be there too! I was originally only going to PHX, but decided on L.A. at the last minute as well due to some cost-cutting I was able to get there. Honestly, I think there was some divine intervention (THANKS GUIDES!!! ) involved in hooking me up with all this. I really met and connected with the right people for me. I saw Craig at L.A.. But I didn't really notice any others that I recognized as Taobums. It was mostly a new crowd, but also some regulars and familiar faces.

That's basically an "yi zhang" (sp?) standing grounding posture.

Be careful with vows, as I think they can create baggage ("karma?") that may carry over into future lives. I recently had a lower block removed that was from a vow - probably for celibacy or renunciation - from a past life (probably monkhood). Yours appear a little safer since they are conditional, but conditions can also change in your future lives. Therefore, they could still conceivably cause problems and restrict you from spontaneously adapting to any new situation. Remember, there is no unchanging Tao - it is always changing. Hence, every moment is thus new and entirely unique. Therefore, any rigidly fixed system or pattern will probably backfire on you at some point in eternity. That's why Taoism is about being free and formless, instead.

In other words, to keep them very soft, loose...maybe even limp? Very interesting. Sounds sort of like what Max "taught" me in a dream last week...

Interesting, was this through energy-sensing or visual inspection? I also believe that surrendering (ego letting go) is a big part of it. Before the first session, I prayed that I surrendered to and had faith in God/soul/universe, whatever. And I think it helped (along with many other things including a "facilitator" friend). I did open this past weekend in L.A. on 11/10/2007, and in no less-than-dramatic fashion. We're talking the full-blown meal deal, and anyone there could probably testify. I'll probably post a write-up later - and also welcome any impressions from anyone else who was there and happened to notice me in the back. So, a first step in the rest of my life now, but far from the last... Now, I don't have a huge problem with personal conflicts, as long as everyone is being real. A real fight is better than a false pax (and suppressed emotions that will stay stuck waiting for release later). I saw some of that during this past weekend as well. As I said, this has less to do with kunlun than group dynamics. You'll find the same drama in a bowling league or the PTA...or even yes, pigeons. There's probably better ways to handle it, but that is like unknotting a wet hairball. For there NOT to be any conflicts, everyone would have to be fully self-realized and realized of everyone else's nature as well in order to interact authentically yet seamlessly. Well, I think most of the criticisms here concern the peripherals - personalities and technical interpretations of the method. But, I can now personally bear witness that the method itself (whatever exactly it does) can produce the promised results (whatever exactly it is). You plant a kunlun seed, give it enough sunlight & water...and you will grow a kunlun tree. There IS proof in this pudding, regardless of all the sideshow debates here (not that I have a problem with them, either).

Ya, me too. At first it was just a small spinning circular view of swirling iridescence under outdoor night-lighting that looked basically like this: I mean, the "neon-pastel" coloration there is pretty spot-on. And the intersecting swirls a similar approximation. Then I saw it in the shower. And most recently, I saw it with my eyes closed and with the circular view much larger. It's always above my normal level of sight, where my 3rd eye would be. I dunno if it's something meaningless just in my head, though. But is this anything like what anyone else is seeing?

Supernormal Powers from Internal arts?

Could you elaborate on this experience for us? As in, how did it feel? And what effects did you experience from it? And was it effective in curing or opening anything? Also, how much does he charge to get zapped by him? -
Anytime you assemble a group of people, you will have personality conflicts - whether it be a Kunlun workshop or a bowling league. Anyhow, I don't think conflict is necessarily bad - and can often even be good. As long as we don't lose sight of the message in lieu of the messengers.

I think the roots of most or all disease lie in problems (blockages, weaknesses, etc) in the energy body. Agree or disagree?

Wow, were you juicing fresh plants...or just drinking fruit juice from the store? And I've done colonics before, I think it does help to clean out your large intestine. Not the funnest thing in the world, but I think something at least worth trying...
-
Well, I think your experience is certainly very valuable as a precedent for others who might fall down the same path later. You are adding some definition to the range of experiences that can serve as a great future reference. And I wonder how you will top yourself after all this?!

Interesting. What is our "pain body?" Cliffs Notes version please?

But did he abuse his healing gift? And was it wrong of him to have sex with that witch? Or did he just get tricked? If so, is that really his fault? Err, and should we all be paranoid about who we have sex with now? I mean, this brings a whole new meaning to "safe sex." But how would we even know if someone might be a human power vac? PS - I just watched a vid on the ahuyasca vine. Very interesting!

I think personality conflicts are always inevitable. In fact, I think many are "by design." I have a hunch that we often keep putting ourselves in the same situations, sometimes over several lifetimes, in order to test our patience and push our own buttons on key challenges to our personas. I made this "realization" recently (don't know how accurate it is). But if it's true, I laughed to myself, because I then realized that many of my persistent frustrations in life (and past ones) were not merely unlucky circumstance, but of my own doing. And all different permutations of the same basic issue. If so, one might analyze their frustrations and see if there is a recurring pattern around a certain issue. And then get to the root of it. Because really that's the whole point for its repetitiveness. Until we resolve it, we will keep repeating it. In this case, confronting and recognizance may be better than running away and disengaging. I dunno, just my 2 centavos..

Well, thing is there will never be a one-size-fits-all formula since everyone is different and comes in at different levels. Mileage WILL vary. I think this revised curriculum would have been great for YOU personally, but overconservative for most other people who weren't as sensitive. I mean, someone who's really blocked up might get bored spending the whole day 2 closing down...when he hasn't even opened up yet. He won't want more closing time, but more opening time or techniques. So, I think the best they can do is shoot for the middle of the bell curve and then provide some extra guidance for those who fall too far outside of it (like you). Cater to the majority, tailor for the minority. I'm sure some extra emphasis can be put on some aspects and cautions due to your experience, though. But due to the nature of our lay lifestyles and workshop culture, we don't have the luxury of time (or money) for overly carefully-metered teachings. We don't meet often regularly, but only once in a while. And there's no guarantees on how long Max will keep teaching these. Therefore, we need more in less time. Well, just 2 more cents..

I had a dream night before last that I was sitting with my arms hanging down at my sides - undulating them - and Max was adjusting me - getting me to loosen up more and undulate progressively more down to my hands. Until he said, ah, that's right. Then I went to an energy class last night (IRL), and kind of remembered to keep my hands very soft and relaxed (as well as some other things). This girl I was working with then asked me if I had done this before and another dude said I had real strong qi. Did Max really teach me in my dream and it help me out IRL the next day? I dunno, maybe?

Interesting, I swear one of my ears is slightly higher... How exactly does balloons up your nose fix this though?
-
How is that different than taking no "vow" at all then? I'm guessing there is nothing magical about 100 days precisely, but it may just be a ballpark figure used to approximate an amount of activation energy generally needed (when built from scratch). Of course, if Max directly transmits enough activation energy to you, you may not really need to "build up this charge" yourself...

Interesting. So the XSZ "foundation training" creates the dantien that you then fill in Level 1 here? -
Lol, interesting...so the Pill reduces sexiness?
