I was wondering about this. What about asking dead masters, ancestors, spirits, Reptilians, etc to help each you, open you or assist your energy work, etc? I know Max works with some teachers in the spirit realm... But are there risks to this, especially for a low-level beginner? Very interesting and insightful post. It is a pleasure to have you aboard. And I wish I was in SF so I could feel a demo

Wow, Islamic geometry is REALLY COOL! Too bad the US wants to blow them to bits to stop the IOB. I think James Bond should fight the American Empire in his next flick. Talk about a controversial blockbuster. How about a super-spy thriller where all roads lead back to neo-Rome?

Thanks for the great feedback, everyone! Some good stuff here to chew on... Honestly, I'm still a little confused, but it appears that there may be different answers depending upon your mindset and how you operate. Perhaps if your mind, beliefs and ego are strongly involved, it may be more possible to pick up "toxic" qi and drain yourself. But if not, and you perhaps are more just asking to facilitate healing, you might not be so susceptible to such problems. But I dunno, I guess experience and experimentation (experimence/experientation?) will teach me more on all this..

Ha, that is a cute series! I should do the counterpart here in the US where I go around interviewing couples and get odd looks from women when I ask them for dates.

Interesting, this runs in line with my theory that walking is "better" exercise than running. Certainly for fat loss, it seems that you want lower intensity & low impact for longer periods of time. So, vibration could presumably be even more effective than walking.. I wonder what the human effects of this vibration therapy would be, though? Certainly sounds promising. I just wonder what the best model to buy would be?

QUESTION: Was anyone planning on going to the 11/9-11 workshop in Santa Barbara? Because I heard it's just been relocated to LA (perhaps due to the wildfires)? If so, will it be held at the same locations as last time (Fri lecture @ Bodhi Tree & Sat & Sun workshops at the Ramada Plaza Hotel LAX)? Anyone got details? I wasn't planning on going, but for some reason the airfare is not that bad right now (<$300).

I have a question about healing and healer safety. When you are working on a patient...is it possible to pick up their toxic energy? Or, if you feel any of their discomfort - is that just an empathetic reaction and not actually "absorbing" that problem yourself? And if you can pick bad qi up - are there procedures to protect yourself or purify yourself afterwards? Also, is it possible to drain your own qi when healing others? I seem to have heard some conflicting views on all these, so does anyone know the real deal?

Yea, I thought it was Buddhist monks & nuns who shaved their heads? One reason I heard being to eliminate visual racial/gender differences. Or perhaps as a form of cross-cultural tonsure. And on a sidenote - why do Buddhist monks/nuns have 2 rows of incense dots on the tops of their heads? Interesting. So, what exactly makes the full-lotus such a powerful position? And what position are your hands in this? A lot of this is a function of childless couples and singles - which most gays are. When you have a double-income household with no extra mouths to feed...all that disposable income gets pumped into the neighborhood & community. Basically the opposite of ghettoes. Which is why such gentrified areas have high gay populations...less kids = more disposable income = wealthier hoods. And another reason why I suspect corporate America pushes delayed (or no) childbirth for independent career women and homosexuality now. All of that translates into more disposable income for entertainment and "adult toys" like that new HDTV or Lexus SUV.

I'm still confused... This sounds like the LOA and reaping what we mentally sow? The problem I see with this is, the more ignorant you choose to remain on all the reprecussions of your actions...then the less "karmically liable" you become for them. So, why become more socially-aware and ecologically-conscious, then? Or sensitive to your effects on others? Then you can no longer plead ignorance and must try living like a saint to not affect anyone or anything in a negative way. Instead of a bumbling idiot who tramples through life with ignorance as his alibi. Or a do-gooder paving the road to Hell with his good (but highly-ignorant) intentions (like many religious zealots).

Interesting info, Taomeow... I now would be interested to see a study examining the effects of smoking ONLY pure, natural, organic tobacco. To see if it's actually the burning tobacco that causes cancer...or just all the modern additives? Although personally, I'm not going to risk it either way. I do fine without it. And after seeing one of my Taijiquan/qigong masters emaciated on his deathbed with cancer (I'm guessing caused by his smoking), maannn, that is just NOT the way to go!

WOW, that's quite amazing! Anyhow, these Systema punches (4:27) seem a lot like internal "lin kong jing" punches.

I guess it will be like your typical scene when Chinese go out to eat and all fight to pay the bill at the end. No, you first! No, you!

Sure you can. Let's say his "water" is really just a diluted solution with a chemical reactant that creates an exothermic reaction when combined with the aluminum foil. Wa-la. Now, the damp "packages" will exude a lot of heat as everything comes in contact with each other. And as he rolls these wads in his hands, the reaction accelerates and more heat transfers to his palms, as well. So, on the thermal-imaging camera...you see heat from both the wads and his palms. Of course, the source is really from the chemical reaction in the wads...not qi from his hands. Now, unless Ripley's supplied all the materials here, I think this is a very reasonable allegation. I mean, if he really had so much qi...why even use aluminum foil and soaked paper towels to begin with??? I don't know of any other qi healers who do that?! As for the "qing-gong" demo - let's say he weighed only about 60 kgs at the time. Perhaps the paper was just thick enough to support that weight? I am not claiming this guy is a demonstrable fraud...and if some people got healing benefit from him, great...I am just certainly far from convinced that these demos are legit, either. I'm sure he may still be a nice guy and all, but just to be perfectly honest...I would bet money that these are parlor tricks.

Superficial advice on Sexual practice in P.O.B.

Lol, uh yea. If your jizz is any color but WHITE, you probably need medical examination and maybe a slot on "Ripley's Believe It Or Not!" Cuz I have yet to ever hear of red or brown jizz? Anyone??? -
Wow, SIMPLY AWESOME! I am sure you have attained some great kung-fu here. Anyhow, I've only read some stuff on Ralston & BKF...but would love to hear some firsthand impressions and stories. Also, kudos on your own dedicated practice and I'd definitely love to hear more about your own development and progress as well.. And where are your Youtube vids at?

I sort of always wondered why I always lost weight when I went overseas...no matter how much I ate. I think walking is a huge part of it. In fact, after coming back and getting sedentary again...I missed walking so much that I started going out and walking 30 minutes almost everyday. Wow, it really does wonders! Helps to clear the mind, breaking a light sweat helps to detox and the low-intensity prolonged activity definitely helps to burn fat off as well. But less is more here. I think walking is actually better than running or lifting weights for 30 minutes. Although I may do it on the balls of my feet and throw in some short jogs too just to add a bit of intensity. But (my guess is) anything too strenuous may burn blood sugar instead of adipose and possibly stimulate appetite later. Really, it's amazing what a difference something this small can make. But it does show how the "unnoticeable" elimination of so many of these "small things" in our modernized lifestyles can add up to quite a lot!

I dunno, that sounds more like the HT model - emphasis on health with a master who can talk a good game, but can't perform any siddhis. To me, the proof is in the pudding and siddhis are one way to separate the talkers from the doers. So, I find them pretty crucial to my own interest and belief in a "guru."

Very interesting. Is yours a real ancient one? And where did they originate from - as I read the real ancient ones ar just found in the ground? And...HOLY SHAT!!!

Just a small note...this is interesting because δΈ (wan) (or θ¬) (10,000) is often used to symbolize longevity...although often using the archaic characters ε/ε: Ok, that is all. -
So, was this guy a phony or what? And what did he die of? There's some Tensegrity demos at 20:00 & 32:36. Looks like hard-style qigong.

Very interesting. I like how they tell what the blockages are caused by too. I have these 2 blocked myself, right now... What are they basing their info on though and have they told how to unblock these chakras? Cuz that's what I need!

Masters With Documented Abilities Who Teach Publicly?
gendao replied to mwight's topic in General Discussion
Here's some interview clips with various modern gurus (not sure how many of them can actually perform siddhis, though). And has anybody heard anything about the "magnetic qigong" guy, Peter Ragnard? He's pretty commercialized...but at the same time, I hear a ring of truth in the way he talks...some of it even sounding similar to Max's teachings. -
Well, this is a little odd... I just got some tattoos done today. One of them was something I came up with on the fly at the last minute to add to an existing one. Well, a few hours ago, I got the name "silver dove" in my head as a name for a reader friend. And just now, I decided to Google it just for kicks...and came to this site. With this description: It's very interesting, because this friend could certainly be best described as a "dakini consort oracle." And what do I see next on that site? The very same tattoo (the 8 lotus leaves on the outside) that I just got today! What are the chances...?
