You mean like 2 good, responsible parents? Although a good band-aid, the minister's plan is only after-the-fact crisis control and an unsustainable substitute for regular parental supervision that should have been there ~"24/7" to prevent such acting out to begin with! There will simply never be enough "community resources, government workers and volunteers" to replace 1 or 2 good missing parents in each home. (Unless you want to bankrupt a nation and enslave it in massive debt to its fractional banking cabals, that is!) Well, 12 Steps would be great because it promotes self-accountability and responsibility - a radical shift from the Baby Boomer's decades of Victim Mentality-based social activism. Which has largely reinforced and enabled the whole Karpman Drama Triangle. But problem is, people have to be ready to stop blaming everyone else and decide to relinquish the secondary motivations for assuming their own roles... And, I think more Eastern-style "self-inquiry" is probably even more efficient with far less dogmatic baggage...for those people "wise" enough to be able to employ it. (Watch from for real-time resolution of the exact same issue here - proving how powerfully this actually works!)

Liquid mercury found under Mexican pyramid could lead to king's tomb
gendao replied to Apech's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Well, there have already been numerous postulated links between ancient Shang Chinese and the Olmecs...just in general. In particular, it has been speculated that such migrant Chinese may have helped influence or found the Olmec civilization, and perhaps extending into the Mayans following them? So, this intercontinental "coincidence" would just be yet another unique similarity/possible actual connection to add to the growing stack... -
Yes, become less and less revealing and authentic! That's how dating works here! Seriously though...is that a little Poison Ivy growing out of the crack in the foreground in your main photo? Or perhaps some Blackberry?

Jesus Camp: Documentary Exposing Religious Brainwashing of Children.

Most of the Founding Fathers were secret society Freemas0n Deists who intelligently rejected Biblical dogma...which is intended for the dumb masses to control them...not the massas smart enough to figure that out. -
Most of our suffering results from our subconscious beliefs. So, if we could clear these beliefs out, then our benevolent true Nature (Dao) would be entirely free to express itself unhindered. This is even far better than "positive thinking," because it transcends any limited perceptions of "good and bad" with a spontaneous, omniscient flow. And "positive thinking" doesn't remove the problematic beliefs either, merely attempts to override them.. Of course, the catch is that you must clear your SUBCONSCIOUS mind, not just conscious mind. Which I'm not sure most people can do via meditation or simply mental effort..

A demon haunting you is only your Shadow Self trying to get your attention to heal and reintegrate itself. You can outrun your Shadow Self no easier than your actual shadow... It can only be un-misunderstood and reabsorbed (loved & reaccepted). You were likely abused before (by others and yourself), feeling completely powerless like a baby being raped. And now like a grown adult being stalked by a demon, again powerless to defend yourself. Painfully POWERLESS... Yet, we all have access to our own innate power...you have simply subconsciously suppressed it, possibly because you may have abused it before and fear abusing it again now? Which means that you also have the key to release it and learn to wield power wisely. Again:

What are the important questions we can ask ourself?
gendao replied to Songtsan's topic in General Discussion
If you were waning into the twilight of your last years, months, weeks, days, hours on this rock...what would you wish to be, do or say and to whom, how or what? How would your epitaph read? And how are or why aren't you already doing all those things NOW? -
Can the Tao be found in a 66 hours work week?
gendao replied to shanlung's topic in Daoist Discussion
Sounds like you are the anti-Daoist working overtime 66 hours/week accomplishing precious little but stubbornly resisting the Dao (due to feelings of low self-worth?)... -
Great story! The problem, as you likely know, is that you still haven't resolved your root issue...but only the symptoms. Hence, the root never goes away...and the symptoms keep resprouting. The demons were a symptom of feeling guilty about your addictions, which were a symptom of: You need to surgically deprogram whatever subconscious belief manifested in the old events that caused you so much traumatic pain you sought addictions as a diversionary coping mechanism. TBH, you don't really need any fancy spiritual rattles & drums...just some good, hard-nosed psychology and therapeutic bodywork (IMO).

Commodity Fetish of Folk Taoism as Late Capitalist apocalypse
gendao replied to voidisyinyang's topic in General Discussion
Well, generally this type of behavior is practiced mostly by Cantonese in particular, not so much all other Chinese as a whole. Note that this incident (and many like it) occurred in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. But most Americans simply equate all Chinese with any Chinese subculture, which is like equating all Americans with backwater hillbillies, gangbangers or any single state, etc... -

Molecular data, Common Descent, DNA, and the I Ching
gendao replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
On topic from another thread... This is why the "ancient alien" theory makes a whole lot of sense (but no orthodox indoctrination camps would ever have the intellectual cajones to ever consider that - so may be the wrong place to ask). A simple reading of Genes-of-Isis reveals that Nammur lied and told his slaves that they would die if they "gained knowledge" (had sex?). In reality, they were always going to die anyways, like all other ordinary mortals and animals on Ea-rth. Moreso, if they were immortal to begin with, then Nammur wouldn't have feared that they would "eat from the tree of life" and live forever! Yet, they still didn't die right after "gaining knowledge" and in fact still went on to live nearly a thousand years! So, the scapegoated "Reptilian" whistleblower was actually telling the TRUTH!!! He had Nammur totally pegged! It's all there in black & white! Yet, the vast majority of readers are so slave-minded that they simply believe what they're told is "good" or "evil," rather than what actually happened... I wonder if there might be some genes for independent thinking turned off in most people?? Now, does this insecure, manipulative liar sound like an all-loving, cosmic "Creator" to you? When he was fearfully trying to c0ckblock his GMO hybrids from cultivating Xing & Ming because he was actually worried that they might be able to achieve immortality??? ...Or just some alien mad scientist? Your call. Can you ever truly define a true Scotsman? -
Racism hysteria has become the new Commy McCarthyism, Spanish Inquisition or witchcraft trials. Nothing new here, just the same old phenomena under a different name. In order to preserve any given zeitgeist world view matrix...anything that threatens it must be "debunked!" Now, off with the heretic's head! The problem is when these tests replace truth tests. IOW, when "is it racist" is subversively used to replace/override "is it true?" Because once you start to deviate from the truth, it's all downhill from there!

Can a return to Buddhist values offer China a greener path?
gendao replied to Gerard's topic in General Discussion
That despite common misperception (Yellow Peril propaganda) in the West...China is NOT the world's greatest polluter and is already taking the most aggressive corrective action towards a greener future in the world? From repetitive Western media reports, you'd think China has the worst air pollution, right? But how come there are no repeated articles on Pakistan's or India's air pollution, which are actually even worse? And who's actually using up all the most resources? Whereas one of the glaring areas that China actually needs to improve the MOST in, is ironically not even covered much in the Western press... Now obviously the widescale results can't happen overnight, but contrary to popular Western belief, China's green gears are...already well in motion... -

Can a return to Buddhist values offer China a greener path?
gendao replied to Gerard's topic in General Discussion
Well...who says they're not? Oh yea...the Anglo mass media which primarily focuses ONLY on pollution in China...while regularly omitting the fact that they currently already outspend EVERY country on the PLANET (including the US) on renewable energy??? Whereas the US outspends every country BY FAR on...their military! -
The Four Yogas and the Spiritual Quest - which is better?
gendao replied to dwai's topic in Hindu Discussion
I totally agree! I realized this myself a few months ago... For example, dwai's underlying personal path might be "animal backtracking the origin." Hundun's might be "stripping away the ego" (consciously others', but subconsciously his own). Etc..? BTW, how would you stereotype the instinctive & racial proclivities specifically as?- 19 replies

Also, I think pinyin is also just more intuitively accurate than Wade-Giles or the earlier Chinese postal map romanization, with a few exceptions like q = "ch," c = "ts" and x = "shee." Like, 道 is certainly pronounced with a D, not a sharp T sound. As opposed to Taijiquan or Taiwan. So, why should it also be spelled with a T? That's confusing - and I wonder if monolingual English-speakers all accordingly pronounce it like Tao? The Yale system (Dàu) is probably even more phonetically user-friendly, but also wordier and more cumbersome... -
Again, everyone is completely missing the macropoint here...lol. Your manifest experience/"intuition" is telling you that you are deeply conflicted inside. When you are conflicted internally, you will Freudian-project those same conflicts externally as well.

Not All Muslims Terrorist, but... All Terrorists Muslim?
gendao replied to dust's topic in The Rabbit Hole
The world is interesting when viewed through the Americanized Holowood lens... Serial killers are an exclusive old White boys' club and Iran is a bunch of gun-toting dudes wandering the desert covered in rags with women dressed like ninjas... See! Iran is a truly barbaric, top threat to Anglobal civilization!! -
