Some questions about Taoist yoga & Microcosmic Orbit

Interesting, I noticed something similar recently, myself.. It's not something I was ever taught, but the phenomena just arose in me. Although I don't necessarily think it's mutually-exclusive - as you could breath from your heart...and even deeper down to your dantian together.

Interesting, perhaps the "uprooted" butterfly is now looking for a place to land? Your current search for a root avatar, mirrors your current search for your root IRL... Also, perhaps the "scapegoat" was ramming your intestinal meridians...releasing a huge dump (full of grief from your lungs) in your life. I dunno, just some thoughts...

Some questions about Taoist yoga & Microcosmic Orbit

(Note: This is a complicated, esoteric topic and so the following is just my current, interpretational understanding of it. It's just my $.02, so judge for yourself, lol.) These xiantian neidan schools aim to cultivate and then unify both Xing (ζ§) & Ming (ε½) to create an enlightened immortal avatar. Taoist Yoga (Wu-Liu pai) recommends cultivating Xing first: So essentially, Xing is cultivated in your upper dantian and Ming in your lower. You need both to open your mysterious gate (xuan guan) to see the luminous void (that is white light when seen without the shadows of blockages) and produce jin dan (golden elixir). Which eventually leads to the development of your yang shen (and the ability to fully materialize or dematerialize - see p 195). The Secret Of The Golden Flower instructs one how to cultivate their Xing to produce jin dan ("Golden Flower"). In short, one must first find their xing light (appearing as a uniquely-personal mandala), and then reabsorb it back into their secret square inch/cavity of yuanshen/pituitary gland. Ming cultivation is essentially filling up your lower dantian until it heats up, vibrates and eventually opens up your 20 vessels/meridians. This alone will lead to robust health, longevity & some more, but not "immortality" as defined above. However, you do need it to provide a strong foundation to cultivate your Xing. I think you can probably eventually cultivate both your upper (Xing) & lower (Ming) dantians somewhat simultaneously if you lower your eyes down your nose and reverse your focus back down towards your dantian. This would reverse your gaze back through your square inch and into your lower dantian, simultaneously. Weimin Kwauk (Chinese Traditional Meditation: Calm and Moving, p 14) actually recommends starting by focusing at the tip of your sternum...and then progressively lowering your awareness maybe 1/4" per day until you reach your lower dantian after a few weeks or months... Anyhow, I think the beauty of Daoism here is that it is VERY experiential and scientific. Its goals are attained by actual practices that correlate with consistent phenomena, not merely a lot of theoretical conceptualization or de-conceptualization... It is not just thinking, but doing/being at appropriate times. -
Reincarnation + linear time + space constrains

Yes, I think one big, apparent difference between TCM doctors and the Western supplement industry is that TCM doctors often prescribe comparatively "HUGE" doses of whole herbs (often 20-30g each and a pound total daily). Whereas the Western supplement industry tends to extract "active ingredients" from herbs and sell them in tiny, standardized mg amounts in capsules. Do you know what herbs you were given? Any fuzi/aconitum?

Yea, well $70/12 hr = $6/hr or $42/6 hr = $7/hr! It's actually a super deal...except the catch is that you have to buy at least 3 days ($210) or 10 days ($420). But that rate alone is pretty unbeatable! WTH, I might just have to give this guy a shot too?! Man, I wish we had a healer review board...where various people could leave user feedback and comments.

I guess that's this guy, Michael Christian (Microprism Optics)? Was he also able to change you actual prescription too - and if so, by how much? Another interesting possible factor I read is being afraid to look into other peoples' eyes? Anyone myopic here who was afraid to make eye contact? Anyone tried QHHT by Dolores Cannon? She claims to have corrected peoples' vision back to 20/20 with it... And others claim that Talmadge Harper has taken QHHT (Somnambulistic/Theta state) to the next level with Quantum Healing and may be even more effective? Holly Tse also claims to have reduced her prescription by 15%-30% in a year, mainly through foot reflexology. Also from a similar Chinese therapy (Paida Laijin): Hypnosis cures -4.00 D myopia in under 20 minutes LIVE! Moxibustion has cured some presbyopia:

Ya, my casual guess is that at Level 1, it could slow or retard your progress. But at Level 2, it might be dangerous? This is why I'm very wary of using any forceful methods... I think if you do, that's when you really gotta start being careful?

I think that realm is "timeless" or time there is not uniform, though? I think there is, Buddhism would just say it's just another shell in the Russian egg of "semi-existence" like your human body. You lost me at 3600 thoughts? Or are you saying that 3600 (figuratively) thoughts transmitted into Abbot Zhou Wang at Golden Summit Monastery ( ?) to you and then this forum?

Yuanming Zhang is from Chengdu. Li ChingYun was also from Sichuan (if he actually lived as reputed). So, there should be some decent practitioners in the area? You might look around Zhang's various lineages for any leads. Wang LiPing's Ling Bao Tong Zhi Neng Nei Gong Shu also includes a whole Chapter 5: Nu Dan Xin Fa for females to cultivate Jin Dan.

You could try posting some of the questionable characters at the Longmen Pai English forum here.. Most only speak English or another European language, but a few of the veteran disciples are bilingual in Chinese & English. Fabrizio Pregadio (xuanying) is a great translator who posts here occasionally. He's already translated several Daoist classics. I do wish there were more good translators fluent in Daoism, Chinese & English. The problem is that most people only know 2/3 of those, at best.. And most of the most advanced Chinese Daoist masters, know little to no English. Anyone been to η½δΊθ§ lately? Is there still a stele with the Neijing Tu engraved on it? If so, I'm for sure going to be checking that out next visit soon! Anyone there find any other good Daoist (or spiritual) sites or shops in town?

Yes, I read that one earlier this year. Seemed to make sense and helped change my understanding about and how I choose to live my life now.. I'd also like to read Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives, if I get time too.. I believe they are quite similar, but more such accounts are always fascinating to hear.

Agreed. TP's are a shift away from the Republicans in the right direction...but Libertarians are probably the truest inheritors of the laissez-faire, anti-government Founding Fathers. Of course, the irony is, none of the Founding Fathers could even get nominated, much less elected, today to any federal position. They would be labelled "far-right," uncompassionate, intolerant, militant, "gun nut," domestic terr0rist, 1%'r capitalist pigs..

From this post, it sounds (more or less) as if Chen is saying that reverse-breathing with tension (possibly like in MoPai Level 2?) can increase risk. And if you jizz on top of that, even more? I kind of doubt Wang LiPing (who doesn't read any English forums) is going to have time to address a random internet request. How open is your heart?

What is your definition of an immortal? And if an "immortal" reincarnates and can lose his immortality, was it immortality to begin with?

Church & state should be separated and marriage should just be equally ended as a legal institution for ALL. If people want to get "married" in any type of religious or other sense - fine. But, it should have NO legal bearing. And yes, each generation actually keeps getting more psychologically homogenized, as all their Old World root cultures get left behind. That's why their modern groupthink political views are so predictably similar - just as spoonfed to them by their mass media/school indoctrination. While diverse looks are PC, diverse views from the gov-approved "norm" are NOT. These must be forced to become increasingly lockstep & uniform with the Fed. And their new common cultural references - are all fictional pop culture. They define themselves by their consumer (not DIY producer) habits - like what shows they watch, what music they listen to and what products they loyally buy. Their cultural heroes...are literally CGI comic book heroes! IOW, none of their culture is authentic or real. It's sad, but this generation is being raised in a whole 'nother artificial matrix within a matrix... They are like self-branding chattel who have been trained to give up their identities for a future Mark of the Beast... Mooo...!

Fascinating! Could you explain what that experience was like?? Awesome history, man! You are a living TB legend! Anyhow, forgive me friend, but I couldn't resist but practice a little unsolicited psychoanalysis (or "triangulation") on this great personal essay of yours (keep in mind, the following could be totally wrong! ): The common denominator to all our patterns is ourselves. There appears to be a pattern here of an inner conflict between seeking "more" and being content with "less." Hence, the ongoing vacillation between "grounded teachers of emptiness" and "dramatic showmen." If so, leaving the "drama" here at TB won't resolve this - it will only follow you wherever you go, because you carry it within you. The only way to resolve it, is to transcend the paradigm between "more" and "less." Kunlun was actually a step in this direction, because it was a "dramatic" path that promised both "more" (rainbow body, etc) and "less" ("very simple, blissful direct pointing to emptiness"). So, it sort of offered to combine both, in a slightly "schizophrenic" way. But, so now you are at the stage of "I DON'T KNOW." Which I believe signifies an exasperated letting go of sticking to either or even straddling both paths - placing you at the cusp of piercing past that whole paradigm altogether. Why limit yourself to "less" or "more?" Contemplate infinity. For example, what is the difference between no frame of reference (Buddhist emptiness) and a frame of reference bounded by the boundless, non-existent boundary of infinity (all-encompassing Brahman)? If there is none, then does that mean that infinity transcends both of these concepts? Well, hope to see you again soon, bro!

False dilemna. That's like asking, "Which came first - the adult or the fetus? The teenager or young adult?" All of these various dogmatic answers are way too convoluted, because they are answering a question based upon an invalid premise to begin with.

Are Yin & Yang: 1) Binary (1 & 0): Where Yin is simply the absence of Yang (like - & + electrical charges)? 2) Polar opposites (1 & -1): Where Yin & Yang act as opposing action-reaction forces? 3) Transverse: "Complementary" energy flowing together, but in perpendicular "dimensions?"

I think synchronicity may actually be our natural norm when we are less blocked up and in tune with our integral oneness.. It is only because most of us are normally so out-of-tune, that it seems "abnormal?" So, lack of synchronicity should really be "abnormal" and make you wonder, WTF is going on??? Why does everything seem so randomly chaotic now?
