any helpful advice for me to understand of 'feeling Qi'
gendao replied to noelle's topic in General Discussion
Well, there's a few key factors here:1) Using the right sense to feel qi 2) The degree of sensitivity of that energetic sense 3) Having enough unblocked qi to feel My point is that the effectiveness and power of your qigong is a function of your development of these factors. It's not all or nothing, but more a sliding scale based upon the sum of these parts.. If you are lacking in all 3 - then you're basically just doing physical calisthenics. Whereas if you are advanced in all 3 - then you could probably make anything "qigong"...and will be performing it "full-bore" while you're at it. And it didn't take me 2 years to simply feel my qi at all - it took me 2 years to realize that you actually have to use a different, subtler sense than the one used to physically feel your muscles. Because this is something that's never explained anywhere - everyone is simply told to just "feel." Well, if you're tuning in at the wrong bandwidth, then you're not going to really zero in on it. Just my $.02 at least... -
any helpful advice for me to understand of 'feeling Qi'
gendao replied to noelle's topic in General Discussion
The problem most people have is that they're using their kinesthetic sense - what they normally use to feel their muscles. However, to feel qi, you need to use a different & subtler sense. Your muscles should be totally relaxed, as this sense does not exert muscular control. If you can feel & tense your muscles with it, then youโre using the wrong sense! This energetic sense operates independent of your muscular sense and is a level subtler.. It took me over 2 years of personal practice to realize this basic misconception. Enjoy. For a fun experiment, muscularly relax your hand and then "smile" with it. Feel anything? If not, you might still have to cultivate for a while before you can feel it. Increased practice increases both your qi reserves and sensitivity. BTW, if you're not feeling your qi, then you're not really doing qigong. You might be moving a bit, and everyone has to start somewhere...but you're not really cooking it. Another huge fantastical misconception by n00bs who stand or wave their arms around blindly... -
Can't get mine to work, could be my 64-bit machine.. If anyone wants to do a Yahoo chat or something, we could set up a group room there too..

Apech, you may have answered this before, but given your extensive research in Egyptology - what exactly do you think the ankh means???

Experience, Realization, View, Practice and Fruition
gendao replied to xabir2005's topic in Buddhist Discussion
Oprah caters to Middle American soccer moms, not hardcore spiritual practitioners. Nothing wrong with that - it's just a different audience (and thus level of material). I'm not saying you can't enjoy Eckhart Tolle (in fact, I do myself)...but I think there are a growing number of seekers also looking for more technically advanced material, too. The cool thing about Thusness and xabir2005, is that they are directly reinterpreting ancient sutras in our modern context and their own personal experiences. That's both a valuable translation and renewal of these traditions to help pave the road for those who wish to follow them in the here and now. So, I guess my question is - what's wrong with his academic presentation and it NOT being "dramatic enough" for the "Oprah Book Club?" Why is THAT the benchmark for books in this country? I mean, I wouldn't mind personal anecdotes, either. But if he's already at 450 pages...that's probably the first fluff I would cut out. -

AMAZING journal/thesis, xabir2005!!! I applaud the high intellectual technicality of your white paper here, and implore you NOT to dumb it down IN ANY WAY for the "Oprah Book Club" masses.. There's already plenty of material on that level...with more rigorous analyses like this desperately lacking in supply. And if anyone wants some "human idiocy," then they can simply turn on their boob tubes for a dose of the Kardashians or Jersey Shore. Again, no short supply of people acting like primitive primates in this society. I do have a question about another statement you had made, though? How did you take refuge at age 2??? -
Just an update...We The Sheeple may soon kiss our remaining vestigial rights GOODBYE!!! Obama is now just about to gleefully sign off his 0rwellian police state bill..."allowing the United States to detain an individual, some of whom may be innocent, without charge or trial" indefinitely... And just keep in mind who all our NW0bama police state now considers "terrorists" This could be YOU!

Pope Benedict Peace Message Calls For Wealth Redistribution
gendao replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Starting with the Vatican, I presume...not? And instead of correcting some of the root causes of financial poverty (like rampant overbreeding by people who can't afford it) - he only exacerbates such behavior, while then advocating unfair measures to keep enabling it. Obviously, this is largely for SELF-GAIN to keep exponentially INFLATING their own ranks and revenue. And now he wants non-Catholics to subsidize their cult breeding program as well? Get the fawk outta here!!! Can we all agree on some better solutions to poverty than Robin Hood thievery? Seriously, if you really believe in that - then why is theft even a crime? Shouldn't anyone poorer than you simply be ALLOWED to take anything you own? Shouldn't you just be able to take anything from a store without paying for it, if you can't? Although, I will agree that the world is a lot more gray than the extremist left/right dichotomy... In reality, many people may hold a mix of views on different issues. -
I was talking about the American popaganda consumer culture referenced in the post I replied to.. Which does YOU, its mere passive audience, no good in your own life. As opposed to real life-promoting culture which helps you to actively better your own health & life by practicing it. But yes, American grey ops do possess high technology that's literally out of this world! It could revolutionize the world if publicized (and could be mass-produced, unlike MoPai), yet has been withheld and weaponized instead. Back in 1952, the US/111uminati refused a plea from the Galactic Federation to disarm their nukes. Instead, Eisenhower agreed to allow the Greys to abduct and hybridize with US citizens in exchange for exo-tech per the 1954 Gre@da Treaty. By using this alien technology, Tesla's confiscated research, etc. and trillions of taxpayer dollars under Black Project budgets - our G-men have tooled our country for their own self-gain to essentially create their own Noah's Ark if the SHTF.

Has anyone genuinely received spiritual benefits from Bagua?
gendao replied to Jetsun's topic in General Discussion
I'm guessing a lot of the original intent was lost...like most systems that progressively degenerate with each generation.. I mean, I always wondered about "mud-stepping" - what was the real purpose of such odd footwork?? Now, I wonder if it might have possibly been intended as a way to gather yin qi??? So perhaps circle-walking is actually practiced to simultaneously and continuously gather yang qi through the stationary foot and yin qi through the sliding one...in an ongoing cycle?? It's almost a combo of zhan zhuang and moving qigong, if you think about it.. And you walk in a circle because...you can do that in a very confined space (as opposed to walking out in a line)? So at the very least, it's just a lot more practical.. -
Or, a simple picture is worth a thousand words...

Interesting description - but I think I need to see a sketch of this labelled as you described? Like, where would the upper point of the 2nd triangle (with the elbows & hands as its base) be?

Interesting - how do the psoas relate to the kidneys?

Yes, simulating the pre-birth state would tap into the very potent, purifying & regenerative prenatal energies (while probably clearing the primal 8 extraordinary vessels). And if you look at comparative spirituality - rebirth and resurrection are 2 common thematic milestones along our personal spiritual evolution. - Eastern & global shamanic schools have the "small & great death" experiences...often eventually culminating in a final "jalus ascension." - Christianity has a "born-again" symbolic rebirth through baptism & Jesus (allegedly) arose from the dead after 3 days.. -

Lol, whose sea lanes??? Well, certainly not those of a country halfway across the globe! And after spending 10 years plunging ourselves neck-deep in debt genociding Muslims...why do we need to "refocus" anywhere else anymore - but HERE AT HOME??? Military defense should be defense of our borders - not bullying and terrorizing other countries halfway around the world under false pretenses who pose NO imminent threat to us!! It's abhorrent that with the absolutely dire economic straits we're in today - these self-indulgent Baby Boomer 111uminati bureacraps like Obama still don't hesitate to keep expanding our global military imperialism!! Someone cut up these kids' credit cards already!!! I think the only guys who stand against this are 3rd Partiers like Ron Paul. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMAzQ5YB304

I believe the "small death experience" occurs when your left/ida/blue dragon & right/pingala/white tiger meridians collapse into your sushumna/chong mai. When this "depolarization" happens, "your outer breathing stops" and your breath becomes very soft & subtle (like the ocean beneath the waves). So to an outside observer, you may appear to enter a "deathlike" state of suspended animation.. (Although you are still actually breathing with a pulse and alive.) This happened to people all the freaking time in the old Kunlun workshops, lol... Whereas, I believe a "major death experience" could last for days and might even actually qualify as a clinical death?

PENTAGON BRIEFING ON REMOVING "The God Gene"
gendao replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
Well, this is one reason why Sifu Liao Tsu-Tong might still be wary of fully disclosing MoPai to the West. Because throughout their history, they have always immediately sought and prioritized weaponization of any new technology FIRST & FOREMOST. Generally, G-Men quickly confiscate any exotic technology they can ASAP to use against other countries and their own populations if/when possible.. See: Gunpowder Nuclear power Tesla's scalar energy Remote viewing Alien technology Biowarfare Genetic engineering Etc. Based on this track record, that could represent a HUGE karmic risk to personally take on.. -

Interesting, how do you know you truly opened it? What kinds of confirmatory signs did you experience? For comparison's sake - here is what some people in Longmen Pai felt (generally after years of accumulated training).. Neikung - What did Jim say about Wang Liping? -
