Interesting, I hadn't heard about the 11 connection. But my close friend has been obsessed with her twin flame for years now.. So, I've heard a lot about all that c*** (lol) secondhand. I say c*** because it apparently can be very long, drawn-out, powerful & torturous due to real-world logistics like long distance, if one's married, etc. And I get to hear about all this fun constantly - like an internal soap opera that never ends.. I absolutely wish her the best with it, though!

Many thanks, Vaj! Means a lot from such an advanced soul as yourself! /\ Ok, just thought I'd add an alternate psychoanalysis with some Byron Katie-style self-inquiry: Well, you don't look this hard for a solution when you don't have an actual problem. This could be "your ego" (I) telling You (them) not to argue with it. IOW, You are essentially still arguing with yourself over your conclusion - and your ego is trying to get You to stop. Again, your ego telling You to give up the search for any purpose more than simply satisfying its physical needs. Even admitting that its tricked You and hoping that You find your own purpose. Classic Byron Katie turnaround. Isn't what you accuse others of here - what you started this thread for? Of course, this is just one possible interpretation...but there's a lot of grist for the mill here. But I think if you had truly found your purpose, you would be at peace with yourself. And when you become at peace with yourself, you will become at peace with all others (who merely serve as mirrors & tuning forks for your own issues). But when you are at war with others, you are still at war with yourself. In my humble opinion, I still detect a lot of unresolved emotional tension in your posts. What is the deeper issue here, that searching for a purpose may be serving as a proxy for? Perhaps an unreconciled separation between You and your ego (that gets fractally externally projected as you vs them)? Both seemingly headed in different directions and fighting over the steering wheel? Even your avy reflects a struggle between complementary opposites and a desired merging.. So, maybe your real purpose then would involve marriage counseling for the 2 to heal the schism? I dunno, but I would take your entire manifesto here as a letter to yourself and keep digging deeper...until you find that lowest common denominator of all your pain & desires. Just my .02 though - I could be totally off-base, too.

Awesome my buddhy!! In writing that, I remembered how I had asked what true "happiness" was at the age of 9. And how my world just fell into pieces after that. It's been succchh a long journey, but I feel like my circle is actually coming towards completion now. Just the other night, I believe I found my root challenge...and how it alone really has shaped my entire life. This now puts me on the precipice of resolving it...and if so, finally attaining that true happiness that I had first sought out as an innocent child almost 30 years ago. A long, dark period filled with ongoing depression, withdrawal, frustration, anger & desperate seeking.. Just to find the root of my ignorance alone is already relieving - in that it makes sense of all the madness. But to cure it and finally find that happiness I first sought before this suckiness all began...would be so deeply & personally meaningful & fulfilling - a good definition of "happiness" itself! Which is exactly what I had asked and longed for this whole time.. I feel like my heart's a timebomb waiting to EXPLODE right now!

"We must discover the cause of our own ignorance." - Bruce Lee. Underlying all your varied pain & desire is often a single life challenge. And once you find it, you may find how everything in your life was a result of or attempt to cope with it, in varied ways. Now, if you dig down deep enough and are lucky enough to pinpoint YOUR root issue...and can successfully resolve it...then you will become an emotionally free man in this life. I daresay, even a HAPPY man...finding true happiness! Ohh, and I am getting close now...on this dreadful lifelong quest! But simply living is not going to accomplish this, and you will only continue to suffer...

Janet Napolitano, Joe Lieberman, lol...what f'n jokes. These rabid Zionist Democrats are constantly trying to use "terrorism" as an excuse to enslave us all with Big Bro - just like their neocon compatriots. Yea, this d-bag was actually trying to officially censor YouTube! In fact, Lieberman wants to create The National Center for Cybersecurity and Communications (NCCC) within the Department of Homeland Security that would basically give him full authority over any and all private or other correspondence on it. In short, it would make him the hall monitor, chief admin and censor over the entire internet!! As if they already didn't have enough control over our minds! The whole underlying NLP aim of their agenda being to divert attention from our enemies within (including themselves), by pinning our focus on overblown enemies without. When the real terrorists & enemies of liberty are within...all occupying our highest seats of power now. Quietly fighting with media & academic mind control, legislation and monetary control (FRB) - instead of bullets. Whereas THEY define terrorists as US! According to NW0 logic - patriotic Americans who support the Constitution = "terrorists!" Who must be silenced!!! So, take note of all the key players here, people - and make sure to vote AGAINST them come election time!!!

Interesting, is this "Buku San Kong" supposed to be MoPai's 72-level "bible?" Given that å»–ç¥–å ‚ Liao Tsu Tong was assumedly John Chang's Liao Sifu? Do the levels at least correspond to the first 5 levels that we know of publically? And what is the breathing technique they use? But then, what about this text? Given that å¼ ä¸‰ä¸° (Zhang SanFeng) is credited with authorship - couldn't this also be the instruction manual that John Chang speaks of? It does mention 72 "arts." Unfortunately, this one is all in archaic Chinese. I wonder if there at least diagrams?

I heard that he wiggled his kidneys live on Donahue back around 1993-1995? Could he film another short demo of that (or any other internal organs) and post it on YouTube for us, please?

New Interview With Chang's Top Student Jim
gendao replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
The equivalent of level 2b in just 2 MONTHS? Ummm... Well, maybe someone in Fort Lauderdale should check out Ron Hoffman there for us? WaySun Liao does appear to be DA TAIJIQUAN MAN in the US, though! His other notorious student being Gary Clyman in Chicago. Anyone studied with either of them? -
No, I've read and heard of this phenomenom before numerous times now - usually preceding a kundalini awakening..

Breaking Through the Barriers of Darkness: Recognizing the Cult of Qigong for What It Is
gendao replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
Actually, it is the same account on both sites by the same anonymous poster. Now, you'd think that if "it is said that there are over 80 million Chinese who practice a variety of qi-gong" - and qigong was really so dangerous - we'd read a lot more horror stories from actually-identified sources? Instead, we get just 1 account from 1 anonymous source out of 80 million? Hmm... I don't doubt that you can "zouhuo" in qigong...as you can in many activities. But I think it's quite a stretch to extrapolate just one bad experience to an entire ancient movement. Not just a stretch, but a very unethical scare tactic. Besides, this dude basically admitted that he was chasing powers - which is commonly warned against from the start. Definitely a good cautionary tale, though! -
New Interview With Chang's Top Student Jim
gendao replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
That "lesson" would be equivalent to telling one to pray to God/Jesus - not how to actually do it yourself.. This is similar to John Chang projecting yin qi into someone so they could get shot with a bullet (p 110). It's just a demo of his ability - not actually teaching someone how to do it themself. -
Someone mind uploading this one up somewhere?

New Interview With Chang's Top Student Jim
gendao replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
Well, Jim could apply the same criticism to his (& nominally, JC's) own religion of Christianity. Jesus (supposedly) walked on water, manifested food, healed people instantly and rose from the dead. Now, wouldn't many of these abilities be of great service to the world? Yet, he taught NONE of his disciples how to do any of this. His followers were simply told to worship him as a god. And in fact, most Christians frown upon "occult" DIY practices and persecute others who attempt them. Furthermore, Christianity also popularly "invented" racism by designating the Jews as "Yahweh's chosen ones." This is why Jim had to go outside Christianity to a far different source to find what he was looking for... But, if he truly simply wanted an accessible religion that focuses on indiscriminate service & compassion - he could have chosen Mahayana Buddhism or stuck with Christianity. But, I assume he was subconsciously drawn to the allure of secrecy & power...as are most who pursue MoPai. ----- He does seem like a nice guy who you gotta admire for his immense discipline & dedication to training, though!! But one thing I found discouraging about this was that after achieving Level 2b/3 after well over a decade of hard training - he apparently has little tangible to show for it. It seems like the initial storage phase of MoPai is extremely prolonged and that you can't really utilize this energy until Level 5 (if you ever even get there). Yin/yang gong would be reallly cool! But even that a bit anticlimactic if it took 20 years of looong training to get there.. ----- I wish some more technical questions were asked. Like the seeming contradiction in Kosta's understanding of MoPai's yin/yang theory. And also a complete fact check of his book. ----- Best part of the interview was that he may be publishing his own MoPai book soon. WooT! -
Good question! But despite fusing yin & yang qi together in the dantian in level 4...MoPai also maintains that taking your yang qi with you is what enables immortality. So, taking your yang qi with you is still the name of the immortal game... But I do agree, the discussion about yin & yang qi in Kosta's book does seem self-contradictory and confusing.

I had a series of challenges to my manhood this year - probably culminating in some random jerk hurling a number of choice expletives to pick a fight with me.. He eventually succeeded in flipping my switch and at that moment...I became a fighter. Looking back now, this annoying pattern of events did serve to force me to ditch my victim mentality. To get off the ropes, put my dukes up, start swinging & don't stop until I hear the bell in life. I don't let speedbumps stop me now - I simply expect them as part of life and have heavier-duty shocks to ride over them. Different things may be needed for different people. What happened to me is not something you could (or may want to) set up. My lesson sure did not come in a stereotypical "spiritual" format! But life just works in mysterious ways and sure has some crazy lessons!

My speculative interpretation of this is: White light is the light of qi. So, you may start seeing this after your jing becomes full and starts converting into qi. It may also represent your yin shen. Golden light is the light of your "immortal seed." You may start seeing this after your jing, qi & shen become full. It is thus a more advanced sign than the white light towards developing your yang shen jalus. If you see a white light with your eyes open though, that may be a very powerful sign that could presage kundalini awakening...

Well, the hitch here is that Taoism actually refers to your true prenatal nature...not "worldly" postnatal nature. Hence, neidan basically reverses your postnatal flow to prenatal - which can then feel very unnatural at first to the n00by layman stuck in his postnatal mind. Being natural is a simple concept...yet not as simple or easy as it sounds. Because you have to find your true nature first. Ay, there's the rub!

help with negativity, bad luck, spiritual crisis, serious stuff
gendao replied to jenn992's topic in General Discussion
I've had a life full of small misfortunes and "bad luck" since my adolescence. Nothing like your extreme-sounding scenario, but a constant uphill battle where decisive pieces fell apart more than together, often at critical junctures in particular sectors of my life. As a result, I constructed a negative, cynical, angry, protective shell around myself. That then likely projected even more negativity in my life like a feedback loop. But I recently made a turning point a month ago... And have come to believe that: Sometimes life has to get negative enough to force YOU to become positive. Sometimes you have to get challenged enough to turn you from a victim mentality to a fighter. When you lose all hope, that's when you must find faith. When you lose yourself, that's when you can find yourself. That life IS a learning experience, and sometimes we subject ourselves to some hard lessons... This guy may be able to help you as well: Point being - there are such things as external problems. However, they are usually also all ultimately rooted somewhere inside you. And so that is eventually where you will have to focus all your efforts. You may want to find some good intuitive/holistic healers who can give you a head start on exorcisms or self-inquiry. And then eventually take it from there with continuing self-work... PS - The YiJing can also be a quick way to gain some vague insight on your current situation.. -
Interesting, why exactly is that?

Yes, great question! I would love to hear some elaboration on the actual energetic mechanics and varying purposes of zhan zhuang itself vs moving qigong vs lotus-sitting stillness neigong, generally-speaking? Are some better for cultivating martial power, health, longevity, immortality and/or enlightenment? Or jing, qi and/or shen? Or the 8 extraordinary vessels, 12 meridians and/or various chakras? There's just so many different types of qigong, neigong & neidan. What are the general principles differentiating them?
