My view is that this endeavor is usually much rockier than you (the general 'you', not you especially, Mal) are making out. If the saved jing is not harmoniously and fully integrated, that no amount of negative consequences will enable you to save at the crucial times. And, worse than that, what is saved but not fully integrated works against you as a sort of "all jiggled up but no place to go" form of jing that leads to potentially severe stagnation in the lower jiao. And, guess what?, with stagnation in the lower jiao, it's much harder to process jing (LTT breathe, etc.). So, this is back to step #1 of the bad cycle, but under worse conditions. Potentially (and not uncommon) progressively worse cycle of events. And I'm not saying that the integration of jing into our consciousness path isn't important and all that... but that the potential difficulties are generally not advertised... and much of the popular info out there is shoddy, and none of us are perfect last time I checked. An interesting study, but it's not "ideal conditions all 'round".

a little snippet from a Ron Paul e-mail re: the Dec. 16th "money bomb"

Who is David Shen Verdesi and what can he do?
Trunk replied to nutting's topic in General Discussion
Good idea. Here's one of the initial threads, entitled John Chang video (link). Scan through and read SeanDenty's posts. -
I was just looking at that very thing. I've neverhad so much fun with politics~!
-
Are you talking about David Shen?, of the foundation training forum? Is David Shen associated with the teacher/lineage that you are studying with?

Yeah, the "listen" button is a link to an mp3 file. (If you're on a pc,) Just right-click on the button and "save as".

For an accessible intro to Dr. Lin's (actionlove) material, go to AlchemicalTaoism.com (link), the "healing love" section, and look for Lin's "introductory links". Lin's more prominent material is boiled down to a single page. There was a phase in the community when Lin was big; he has some useful material. AlchemicalTaoism.com is sort of a community archive, worth browsing.

Reminder: For those of you that are planning to donate to the Ron Paul campaign (link) on the "tea party" day, it's tomorrow: Sunday Dec 16th.

Your family is lucky to have such a fun father!

If you haven't already integrated self-acupressure into your routines, you might try it.

That was really fun!

EMDR (link) is something you can do on yourself, and/or with the assistance of a therapist. Very, very simple technique. Worth trying. You could do any of those things that you mentioned, followed by self-EMDR.

Word is spreading. I'm betting that the number of "kunluners" will continue to grow rapidly for at least the next several years. Everything will work out naturally, in its own course and tempo. Happiness will continue to increase for all concerned. Best wishes.

I just learned about Operation Live Free or Die (link). A engineer, Vijay Boyapati, from Google quit his job in order to organize volunteers on the ground in New Hampshire, as the first primary is there (Jan 8th). Vijay did this on his own initiative; he is not employed by the Ron Paul campaign! Volunteers are flying in from all over to campaign for Ron Paul there. They have ~ 400 so far and their goal is to get a 1000. I find the whole Ron Paul movement inspiring. ~ later ~ A straw poll was cancelled (youtube link) when it was seen that it was going to Ron Paul. * yikes! *

Infrasys.biz is another one that comes to mind. It's actually not a charity, but a business. You invest in small start-up projects in rural India that are designed to provide some benefit to the local community and that are profitable. If it goes well, the locals pay back the investment and then ownership and profits go to them. ie, there is incentive for them to continue the business because it is profitable.

Really effective metaphor. You hit the sweet spot on that one.

That's seva.org. You can just donate, or you can donate as a gift to another person: Meaning they'll send a card to Mrs. Yoda as a present saying whatever you want, like "I restored someone's sight instead of getting you a sweater, so you're kind of in on it". I haven't got the wording quite worked out, but that one was maybe the funnest I've come up with... How about a contest: Funnest and funniest things to put on a card like that! * ready..., go! * ~ later ~ Also, it'd be fun to get a goat or something in someone's honor - especially if they could send a picture of the goat and the family that got it to your card recipient... maybe even a thank-you letter, or info another several times over the course of a year or so.

(Not evidence, but some theory.) If you produce nourishing pleasant 'energy', it heals the body and psyche: they are nourished and relax. When they relax, it's easier to let go. Also, the channels are more likely to open and fill, and that facilitates (but does not garuntee) Deeper Integration. Now, clearly that's not a gaurunteed detailed A-Z path (and it doesn't preclude unskilled activity along the way), but it's in a good general direction, imo.

Here's an interview with Ron Paul from yesterday, Sunday. LTj3STZqviY Here's a video promoting TeaParty07.com. I don't agree with everything stated in the video, but it's an example of inspiring grass roots creative effort for RonPaul2008.com... and I do like the basic premise that the people are taking back politics through the internet. I've been having enough fun watching him that I often check the "political top rated" videos at youtube. Ron Paul videos are always in the list; often of the top ten videos 4 to 6 will be of him. Contrast that with the other candidates, and there is no other candidate that close-to-consistently shows up in the top rated political videos. That's a pretty huge contrast. I wonder what the demographics are of youtube viewers? Age distribution, political affiliation, geographic areas... It doesn't make sense to me that he rates so astronomically high on the web and only, what?, 1-2% in official polls? I mean, everybody has the internet now, right? What's up with that? ~ later ~ Some joe-outta-no-where started an internet campaign to raise as much as possible in a single day (sometime last month): they raised 4.3 million $!!! In a single day! From far and away mostly small donation individuals. And they're gonna do it again on Dec 16. I'm going to donate - even though I'm not sure I'd actually vote for him, because I love seeing a politician talk honestly. This guy is the quintessential good-citizen-who-got-into-politics. I might not agree with him, but I love him and am really glad he's mixing it up in there. The soup desperately needs a dash of virtue.

Well, happily, I have an answer that I think is both politically correct and true. First, I think that someone could take the method "all the way" under whatever lineage alignment works for you. For instance, I think someone could be a Christian or of an American Indian Tradition, or - for those rare who align with All That Is successfully on their own.. Anyway, next, at least one (or two?) people as I recall, earlier in discussion, received lineage/teacher interaction with Max from reading the book. If you feel drawn into this, relax into that feeling and allow it to be part of your practice. An essential skill of engaging in lineage is learning to "blend your mind-stream" with that of the lineage. From that point of view, Everything is available - from where ever you are. (Hey, I mean, not that it's not nice to see a Teacher in person. )

I don't know. He has a HUGE internet following. I have a lot of fun watching him talk: he is humble, doesn't go nasty, principled, unwavering in his brave honesty, intelligent, articulate. On those virtues all in one person, I've not seen any other politician hold a candle to him. I don't agree with all of his policies by a long shot, but some of them are very appealing. At the very least, he adds immensely to "the conversation". Google sponsored an interview of him at their auditorium ( ), and its the clearest I've seen. He gets a full 65 minutes to talk about his philosophy and how it plays through in policy.

Kirlian photography is a good topic to bring up in these sorts of conversations. Plenty of images on the web. Immediately takes the conversation 'to the next level'.
