I haven't been tracking closely, lately...What's "the documentary"? ~ later edit ~ I did some searching, educated myself. Izthisit? and Still, what kinds of participation are you looking for?

Heaven & earth integration through the spectrum of connective tissue (fascia, tendon, ligament, marrow).

(added links) Seems like the purpose of "Orgasmic Diet" is pretty clear...But I'm not clear about the other: Does Robinson's diet work to quiet the lower centered drive somewhat? And increase what we might call the "heart centered" feelings? Did you find Robinson's book to be well done? ~ later edit ~ I read the reviews at amazon: ?'s answered.

Occasionally I'll go to the Indian market and stock up on ghee and coconut oil. Love 'm both. (Coconut oil is also great externally.) Plenty of stuff on the web about coconut oil being another miracle food: http://www.coconutdiet.com/ http://coconutoil.com/

Most Advanced Qigong/Neikung System Available?

Mark Griffin at HardLight.org. Whether "the right long term thing for you now", or not, at least a visit-sit with Mark would be worthwhile, to anyone into this stuff, imo. His ability to "cook the room" is at a very, very high level. And a total open-door policy, no hoops to jump through. It's an unusual situation. -
This is a genuine topic. As one learns to still the internal mundane activity, more vast, purified, fields of consciousness come to the fore. This goes deeper without end. Part of that is that the purification factor kicks in more powerfully: more mundane patterns of energy dissolve in the presence of significantly greater purity. As this gets stronger, an aspirant needs greater and greater methods of staying "put together", coherent, not just getting sucked up into eternity and not coming back. One comment I've heard mentioned from a teacher is that (paraphrased) it used to be fashionable to merge with eternity and not come back, and more recently it was seen that one could accomplish more - and be of deepening benefit - by staying. This same teacher poetically mentioned "a bowl strong enough to hold the Tiger's milk". (btw, I'm not suggesting that understand what MG was saying/teaching, this is just my current suspicion). Relavent topics (as far as I know) are: the bodhisattva vow (there are mahayana and vajrayana versions of the bodhisattva vow), heaven & earth integration through physical training (example: the Taoist internal martial arts), bindu teachings.

I'm not a goth nor horror fan, but G.Oldman was stellar in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Like Bancroft, he is easily several times more powerful than anyone else in the frame. Just... I don't even know what to say. One of my friends, who has done some commercial acting, said that he "is one of the great actors of our time". Winona Ryder did an impressive job. Keanu Reeves was just pitiful. trailer looks interesting EhbalzcPA_E

Many solutions scattered throughout the site. Though none of them guaranteed. That's not the job of this essay. Plenty of other essays at my site. This essay is a "fair warning" of bad things that can happen, and to provide some minimal understanding of the mechanics of "what can go wrong". This is the "minus column" in decision making. It is not an argument that someone should / shouldn't retain. It's like someone who rides a motorcycle should know about the increased risks vs. driving a car. Whether they choose to ride a motorcycle, all the time, occasionally recreationally, or not at all - totally up to them. But they should know about the risk, as part of an informed decision.

Read through the Iron Shirt 1 section at AlchemicalTaoism.com.

July 4th, celebrated as Independence Day (from Great Britain) in the U.S. Pretty depressing lately. Found this speech from Keith Olbermann that rings patriotic. EmrcpDiv_ac&mode=related&search=

"S. retention" means that you've had aroused sexual activity, to the extent that you've approached orgasm, and then you've with-held ejaculation. Choosing not to have sex is different.Added to the essay, for clarity: None of the dangers listed are %100 garunteed to cause injury; some people get hurt, some don't. I assume MWinn saw a high enough proportion of people get hurt with the million $ point, that he wrote what he wrote. Same thing with the way iron shirt packing used to be taught; some few people would show up on the boards and describe getting great stuff out of it, but also enough people were getting hurt that the percentages weren't good - and there are safer ways to do it anyway. "Individual cases may vary."
-
You missed it: At the bottom of the essay is a link to MWinn's post about the "million dollar point". ~ later edit ~ Added a phrase by the link to Winn's post, in case people aren't familiar with the term: "million dollar point".

It's delightful to have kindred spirits show up at the doorstep, joke around, and introduce themselves. So, stick around for the parade, if nothing else. Ninjai fan, hm.

Sounds like info that'd be clarifying for this community. (No offense meant.)

Certainly a striking photo of him, bright. I haven't listened / read anything about him.

I hadn't even heard of those texts before... Do you have links to the books? (I tried the first one at amazon and yahoo: no search matches.)

Likewise. All five? I kinda didn't realize it myself until I listed it all out. One of the reasons I like Kuan Yin is that she's in every eastern religion, so I can roam and fit in everywhere. But, obviously, something is going on with Kagyu & me - not something I planned, happened by feel. To answer your question, no, I haven't taken up the external formal Tibetan path - and currently I don't think it's something I'm going to do. It's so, so extensive and ornate, and many of the things (including nongdro) are either beyond me or inappropriate for me. That doesn't mean that I can't augment inner connections and, imho, that's where much of the path is. So, externally, I'm hodge-podging it together, internally Kagyu. The traditional Tibetan path isn't suited for modern life in general, imo. I mean, I'm in support of preserving the traditional system, practices, knowledge, but there also has to be a version of "Tibetan Lite". Their society was just saturated by religion, they got a lot of it growing up, plus basically their university system was monasteries. So I could see how their path could be done like that, but in modern life, outside of Dharamsala, I think it'd be very rare that people complete that sort of training (I know some people are doing it, but jeez). btw, I saw Kalu about 10 yrs ago when he was in L.A., he was - I think - 6 yrs old at the time. It was one of the most profound, amazing experiences I've ever had. I tear up just thinking about it. If you ever get a chance to get a glimpse of him in the flesh, I highly recommend it. Mark studied with him during his previous incarnation and when ever he mentions him, says something along the lines that he was "enlightened, in the extreme". Little story about seeing Kalu in L.A.: I didn't know what to expect; I was there because Mark had studied with Kalu. I was just sitting there, normal, not anxious nor excited, just sitting there. This was in a little church in Santa Monica, and all the pews were packed, and I had a seat near the back. So, Kalu walks in from the front of the chapel, (he's short, being only 6 yrs old) and I got a glimpse, and I mean a glimpse of him walking through all the taller adults: I burst into tears. I mean, from totally normal, no build-up, to instant full out crying like a baby. Then Kalu walked climbed up into his seat where he was in full view, and I fell into a deep meditation that lasted the rest of the time. On the way driving home, I thought, "he's so beautiful" and started crying so hard I had to pull over.
