  1. Kuan Yin Magnetic Qigong

Hey Cam, Glad likewise that you have found a path with Max and Sifu Jenny that works for you, as I know it does for many. ... and your rather spectacular global adventures. sincerely and kind regards, Keith
  2. Kuan Yin Magnetic Qigong

Broader, imho, the hands do relate to the R&L sides of the body in general and having those polarities interact and integrate is... well, that's a primary dynamic that makes this qigong tick. So, yeah, the R&L integration but for as much of the body as you can get to, not just the brain. Yes, I do work w/ the chakras/centers. The way that LaoXie shows in the video does a sort of expanding ~ concentrating action w/ the centers, very effective. I don't do 7 rounds, and generally have no preset amount of time to do it. I just work on stuff until I feel I've had enough. Same thing about finding potent and/or stuck places to work on along the central channel: mostly by feel. Work your way up, "oh, there's something there that I want to work on" and just do, as long as you feel is right. After many sessions, working on the pieces that you find, things gradually come together a bit more. Give it time. In general: No quick movements. Deliberate stuff that assists re-integrating the subtle energies and quiet consciousness of still sitting w/ the body. Also of course, exercises that move the fluids and tissues, and perhaps ease physical blockages pain that sometimes occurs during sitting. more specific examples: Walking. Joint rotations of the various, including squats. Qigong type movements (nothing brusque, nothing real fast). Stretching. Important to maintain your steadied focus as you integrate it with whatever exercises.

Please relieve us of our ignorance ... if you would kindly let us know how you see those two in relation to KYMQ(?). ~ edit ~ p.s. to all please don't quote the entire unless good writing necessitates.
  4. Kuan Yin Magnetic Qigong

Heels raised, not tensed, soles relaxed-open-to-the-earth. imho I see that as one of the purposes. An important one, though in the video LaoXie does caution not to do over-do that part. Other purposes... harmonizing energy into the central channel all up & down the entire length, developing each of the centers. I think that plenty of time could be spent working on sections of the torso (below the brain ). Just my perspective.
  5. Kuan Yin Magnetic Qigong

From the Dragon Gate Sanctuary page on my site, re: Kwan Yin Magnetic Qigong (ordering info there also): Plenty to discover about this set of practices, just thought I'd post that for now.
  6. lower dantian theory by Damo Mitchell

+1 Really like that description. Helpful, too.
  7. Taobums Q&A with Kosta Danaos

two questions: 1. In your view, are there some few fundamental principles / mechanics pertaining to cultivation in general that we should keep in mind? 1. In your view, are there some few fundamental principles / mechanics pertaining to harmonizing essence that we should keep in mind?
  8. Beginner: Best way to accumulate energy?

You might enjoy Kwan Yin Magnetic Qigong as it effectively uses hand energetics to activate the central channel and centers.
  9. Deity Yoga

An alternate pt of view is that deities are actual realized beings and that by being 'near' one your body learns and develops by proximity. Similarly w/ an enlightened teacher (in the physical).

  14. Similarly here. I don't know if it's really designed as a daily practice (?), certainly has the use of deep trauma release which someone might not need every day but invaluable to do occasionally, ime. If I got nothing more from it than what I got during the first weeks of practice, it was still way way worth it. Next time around, I'll employ Nilo's advice:
  15. I wish not to be jealous

This is the response that most caught my attention: I think there is something to this... that there is perhaps a somewhat more skillful version of this. I've seen several people, during a break-up, use a kind of cutting, stopping, killing energy to stop the energetics of the relationship within their own body - and with a resoluteness of military intensity re-claim re-affirm re-embrace the brightness of their own life-path moving forward. I've also seen people lack that cutting gesture, when the break-up and after-math just is torture for years: nearly kills 'em. As the song goes, "she cut you bad, your heart is a scar.. if you could just get mad you'd be better off by far". There's some kind of middle ground, I suppose. Not that any of the above is deep alchemy - and maybe 'as a Taoist' I hope that you ultimately find deeply centered serenity. But, hey, break-ups are tough gut wrenching stuff. I hope that you first just get through it. - Trunk

  19. Barbara, you're bringing up the very valid counter-argument to having sub-sections. It is all the same thing. Every tradition is describing humans' relationship with the Divine. On the other side, the view for subsections, is that it allows people to focus study more, to clarify the view/s of a certain specific set of teachings. That has value also. There's been a trend that as TTBs has grown that discussions have sometimes become more dispersed and the the subsections foster focus. - Keith
  20. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

If you look at KL's PR rap around this issue, strip away the silliness, and boil down the best of it, their solution comes down to "persevere". So, the situation. 1. You've got a school where everyone inside knows that a common side-effect of initiation is reptile trouble (though there is of course disagreement about the nature of that trouble). And the school's basic responses to students who have that trouble is: 2. Make it the student's problem, not the school's. 3. Say, "persevere". That sums up the help you'll get; don't expect more. Does that sound like a school that has the actual answer to this situation? .. or that is taking responsibility for their part in this? If you're informed before-hand, if you're an adult, and you choose, "ok, I'll sign up for that" then that's one thing. .. but .. What's the screening process within the school? Is there forewarning that this is what the ride is? Do they allow students in who are unstable?, who are in real crisis and need real healing for considerable time before they are healthy and strong? What about when house-holds get infected? Children, infants of pre-speech age, pregnant women? Various house-mates who didn't take the workshop, didn't sign up for that ride? Is the school taking their part of responsibility for inevitabilities? And, yup, there are also people who get healing from KL and have no trouble (or no major trouble). ~ p.s. ~ I'm into spirituality to be more & more real, not to foster standard cult mentality.
  21. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

Energetic link. It's not Max that is the problem, it's the realms that he is connected to. Opens the door to transmission which opens you to certain psychic realms where there are some benevolent beings, occasionally some malevolent beings (that's the risk). Max is trying to help. It's just that he's a heavy-weight, in a very advanced lifetime, and the realms that (perhaps have some wild neighborhoods) were perhaps of no risk to him are not risk-free for non-advanced-adepts. All that, imo. Nope. Many have not been damaged at all, but have received benefit. Just that there are some that also have "rascalious reptile" trouble. No damage is forever, but some can be difficult to solve and is better avoided. If you want more understanding, details, then read the archives that I linked in my previous post. Matsuo's website notes Max as one of Matsuo's teachers, in a well and grateful tone. I assume that all of that is quite genuine. - Trunk p.s. Ok, now I'm really done talking.

    Welcome!
  23. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

Ok. Straight talk. I can't in good conscience stand by politely on this one. I will only say this once, and then will not participate further in this debate. Max's school is dangerous. Stay clear of it. For those who have his book (or future book/s) I recommend throwing them away. For those perhaps about to loan the KL book to others, consider the consequences of exposing students to peril beyond their depth: don't do it. Throw the book away; that's my advice. This is like putting "The Multi-Orgasmic Man" in TTBs library, . TTBs has been gone through this storm before. People were hurt, including children, having to do with parasitic reptiles. Dangerous lineage, if you get involved it is at your peril (and the potential endangerment of those around you). Lots of trouble around that organization, with a stubbornly deflecting PR dance to match. Here are the links to previous discussion: one, two. - Trunk ~ edit ~ Removed video trailer: some drama & comedy was appropriate, but too easily misinterpreted, misrepresent. *sigh*
  24. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

That sounds like a snide comment. If you are looking to gain honest open generous help & info from people who've gone a certain route before you, best to employ curiosity kindness and patience. Kunlun was a topic of intense debate for a while here at TTBs. Plenty of detailed info, from all points of view (including assessment of some potential dangers), if you care to use the search engine and wade through the results. best of luck to you, Trunk
