  1. Greetings

    Welcome!
  2. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

    I revised my DGS page so that it's more clear. Picture at top, ordering info at the bottom. The prices ($108 for single, $200 for 3-in-1) and direct paypal ordering info should be obvious now. - Trunk
  3. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

    If you look at the direct ordering info on the pg I linked to, the single dvds are $108 (including the KYMQ) and the 3-in-1 is $200. ~ edit ~ hmmm, maybe I should rearrange that page a little so the direct order info is more prominent...
  4. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

    I suggest getting Sifu Matsuo's "Kwan Yin Magnetic Qigong". Max is one of S.Matsuo's teachers and KYMQ is his presentation of "Kunlun". (edit: I should say, rather KYMQ "includes Kunlun".) I've been to Max's seminar, I've seen Jenny's dvd, and I've seen the KYMQ dvd. imo, KYMQ is far and away the better presentation. It includes a whole series of simple movements, of which "Kunlun" is one, all of which are critical and presented with clear mechanics and principles. Read the review and ordering instructions at the link. This is just my point of view, and is not meant to disparage the pts of view of those devoted to Max or Jenny or any other. Everyone has their path. Just my 2 cents. kind regards, Trunk
  5. How about a Vedanta Sub-Forum?

    There's a piece of text in the upper right of TTBs screen, "View New Content". Click on that. After you're done peeling off the topics you wanna read, click "Mark All Forums as Read" (or something like that) that that screen also presents in the upper right. Good one. - Trunk

  7. How about a Vedanta Sub-Forum?

    new thread Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Check it. As far as infinite subforums, I vote "no". There's infinite ways to categorize things and it just ends up a mess. Keep it small & simple: just focus on writing a quality post, on whatever is up.

  10. Kneeling Exercise

    Here's what I'm calling the "kneeling exercise", Courtesy of Dragon Gate Sanctuary, thank you! to Sifu Matsuo. (Following comments are entirely mine and do not necessarily reflect the views of DGS.) Primary Action: Gently flexes the lower-most lumbar and by that I mean the sacrum and the first several lumbar. Gently reverses the curve. Repeatedly flexes the musculature and tendons, ligaments etc around there. Many of you already know the implications of this, please feel free to comment for others. Practice Notes: - Do this repeatedly and gently. The leverage inherent in this position targets the lower-most back. - Do not sit all the way down, just up and down in a suspended range. - Gentleness and repetition are the keys here: Do NOT do this with force, nor with speed!, and do not aspire to work up to greater force/speed with this! That misses the point and you could hurt your spine. Just gently, repeatedly such that it flexes ~ relaxes (aka, "pulses") lower-most spine. - If you feel fatigued and/or 'complete' then stop. Be kind and patient with your spine. - My modification: arms could be in any position, but helpful ime if you use prayer mudra. It naturally assists with the position of the upper back and allows some heart and limb energetics to engage (especially if you've already done other cultivation along that line). I think you'll find the repurcussions of the "kneeling exercise" on other practices and exercises to be very favorable. Practice, come back, comment, share. - Trunk

    Tulku, Just a courtesy tip: When replying to a post, no need to consistently quote the entire replied-to post. It makes scrolling through the thread needlessly long. Delete all but the parts of quote you really want to emphasize by reply. - Trunk p.s. Here's what I was talking about re: the kneeling exercise.
  12. Kneeling Exercise

    To be explicitly clear about what I'm pointing to here, as I think that the kneeling exercise + Kwan Yin magnetic heart qigong does something specific that is very much worth seeing and experiencing as-it-is. Get that. Don't let the permutations ~ variations (which are perhaps good and worth learning also).. but in this case listen, worth getting this one. Particularly for men. These two things together: 1. The kneeling exercise mimics the rhythmic flexion of the lower lumbar during sexual intercourse but it does not engage the musculature nor psychology typical of that act. 2. Kwan Yin magnetic heart qigong alternately flufs open and spirals into a concentrated refined pearl, the heart chakra. Very effectively. (If you've worked with the whole KYMQ set then all the chakras also start to do that sympathetically.) So, you've got the very low spine flexing pumping and the heart opening ~ refining spiraling concentrating both together in concert. It's extremely effective unaroused jing training and refining practice. (Of course, you will first need to practice them separately until you are comfortable enough with each such that you can combine them.) Afterwards, follow it up w/ whatever you feel is appropriate. Maybe still standing + lower dan tien breathing. Maybe more full spectrum Kwan Yin magnetic session. Maybe whatever you think is best. I'm just saying that those two together are perhaps helpful and important to look at as they are, especially for men w/ sexual refinement challenges (which I think is most of us ). That's all. - Trunk
  13. Kneeling Exercise

    Prostrations are good, this is good, there are various spine (& other exercises that are good). My first (and perhaps best) answer is: Do them, notice your own experience, compare. That's where it all happens. You have the equipment! But also, note: The kneeling exercise specifically flexes ~ releases the very low lumbar. Can you think of other activity that also does that? This is a very clever exercise to process jing up the very low section of the spine.
  14. Kneeling Exercise

    Worth a thread-bump... So, I've added to this... .. added the heart chakra part of Kwan Yin Magnetic Qigong + the kneeling exercise, together. Holy mackeral! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nltVuSH-lQM
  15. Hey. Just a small pet peeve of mine... Sometimes newbies have a habit, when replying to a post, to include the entire quoted post that they're replying to. Could we, as a community, kindly prompt them to "Please don't habitually include the entire quoted post that you're replying to. It just makes threads needlessly long to scroll through." Just courtesy, not a "rule" or anything. - Trunk
  16. the path to tao adult content?

    ~~~ TheTaoBums Moderation Team ~~~ There is a rule here of "no posting of pornography". It sounds like what you're describing isn't exactly that, probably considerably more .. edifying. But still, if it's "too sexy" pictorial content embedded in a post, it ain't gonna fly. Sorry. If you want to provide a text link to that content, no problem - if it's the kind of content you're describing. (If it's just out-right porn, then even a text link to it is not ok.) Sorry to be such a puritanical tight ass, Trunk ~~~ Mod Squad out ~~~
  17. Cure for masturbation addiction
    A few brief notes and thoughts... Read some posts in the discussion forum at no-porn.com. You'll see that addiction is a horrendous wreck for many guys. Wrecks lives, families, health, etc. I can understand where the motivation for stop! remedies comes from. re: more kind alchemy solutions, that might help some - but of course won't turn any of us into eunichs... A couple of recent discoveries to feel the rush of vitality in a cool unaroused way (key). 1. Testicle Pearl Breathing 2. Kneeling Exercise + Kwan Ying Magnetic Qigong (heart chakra) Then there's the issue of repairing damage, which is usually involved w/stagnant heat. Opening channels, ventilating, blood circulation. And living a satisfying lifestyle... Plenty of aspects of work in becoming better human beings. - Trunk
  18. Sifu Chris Matsuo
    Yes, I have that one! On my DGS Reviews page I say that based on three decades of looking and practicing, if someone were to buy just one qigong product, I'd recommend that one. So, yes, I have the Kwan Yin Magnetic Qigong dvd. I've even practiced it!!!
  19. Sifu Chris Matsuo
    Sorry for the late reply. I had a recent e-mail conversation w/ Sifu Matsuo re: this. The Kwan Yin Magnetic Qigong dvd is available for separate purchase for $108 via paypal to [email protected].
  21. Testicle Pearl Breathing
    Things are progressing... More than once now, as a result of this practice, I've felt these pulse in concert: - Kid-1's - gonads - kidneys - brain This is obviously tapping into and circulating the kidney energy quite directly, in a cool way.
  22. I was just talking to a friend of mine who I'm trying to turn on to inner alchemy in general (magnetic qigong, specifically at this point). She doesn't really have a vivid personal reference about quite why qigong would be helpful, interesting, healthy, healing. She does have an over-eating disorder, though, and that's partly what we're trying to address. The phrase that we concluded upon, that sums up much of the ideal of what qigong (inner alchemy) produces and what draws her to eat is, "cultivate your inner caramel". I think that caramel mimics the qualities of authentic healing energy of our own inner alchemy and so is very similar to what we crave in addiction (drugs, sex, food, etc). Can you relate to any part of that? .. the alchemy? How does that relate to your alchemical practices? .. or things that you are drawn to as unhealthy substitutes? - Trunk
  23. Cultivate your inner caramel
    p.s. What other phrases have you found that anyone (non-qigongers) can relate to? Another I've found is "center and brighten". What phrases do you find that people don't readily relate to? Are there alternative ways of say that that are more relatable?
