Bought some yesterday and took a swig when I got home. Turns out you're supposed to dilute it and take it in very small doses!!! Had a pretty rough ride yesterday as a result. Pitchford (below) mentions in his book that it is one of the strongest liver cleansers and I believe it!!! I read the chapter: excellent!! Thanks for the recommendation (even though a yr ago).

Which practices are fire cultivation methods?

I'm currently practicing a standing posture from Sifu Chris Matsuo's dvd "Bagua Circle Walking - Single and Double Palm Changes" (the dvd is not listed in the 'store' but you can ask for it). The standing posture has some dynamic fwd~back wave action built into it, especially in the two variations when hand mudras are applied. As far as combination of results + accessability, this standing posture is .. *gulp* .. I'd have to say the best I've experienced, by far. Opening up the channels in my arms and legs, connects to heaven and earth, circulates vitality profoundly, is coursing the bladder and kidney channels, and - perhaps most surprisingly - is putting me through the emotional wringer. I've never had a standing posture access and release deep emotions anywhere near what this is doing. The dvd has the standing posture/s, then some squats work, then gets into bagua-specific work. I'm not into bagua right now, but the general instruction at the beginning of the dvd made the dvd way way way worth it. (His dvds are typically priced either $80 or $108 but, imho, the jaw dropping quality makes them a bargain.) Sifu Chris Matsuo DragonGateSanctuary.com Youtube channel blatantly enthusiastic, Trunk

I bumped into the Matsuo radio interview uploaded to a youtube video! I'm about 10 minutes into the hour long interview and I am more and more impressed by Chris as qualified and good. -
Major component of evolution theory proven wrong
Trunk replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
True or not, seems to me that misses the point of the crux of the theory of evolution. That is: 1. Traits get passed on from parents to child, including moderate variations 2. Those that receive disadvantageous traits vis-a-vis survival get killed off 3. The traits that favor survival vis-a-vis the environment live Given 1, 2, 3, species change over time in relationship to their environment. The above is rather air tight and simple, imo. Now, exactly what was the chain of change for various species, that's details. Even if we were started by God or aliens in a single day, *poof!*, and then kicked out into the wild ... well, you'd still have evolution from that point. As long as people are having sex, living and dieing, there is evolution. -
I've explored moving the hands and feet synchronously, for a couple of very simple methods: 1. Joint Rotations (ankles & wrists) 2. Sinew flexing (soles and palms) Here's a third (below). I think these should maybe be called The Park Bench Series because you can easily do all three seated on a bench, and the qi is nicer outside. "Waiving Hands & Feet" is just that. Sit on a bench (couch, chair) and waive hands and feet synchronously, slowly, with that heavy feeling as if waiving them through water. Just feel the qi and let the outside qi get into the joints & bones of the fingers/toes, hands/soles. That's the point, right there. That helps to activate and refine the qi moving through the channels of arms and the legs. So there we are: joints, sinew, qi. p.s. Obviously: Don't do this if you're feeling chilled, nor in really cold weather.

Intuition that the channels that travel through the limbs and (potientially) harmonize at the hands & feet have a lot to do with harmonizing our humanity relevant to those that go deeply into absorption sometimes become slightly disembodied
-
Yup, the last few days I've been considering this... The 12 regular channels run through the arms & legs (and torso) and all travel through the hands/feet. The hands/feet are really good access points for qi gong to the 12 regular channels: - they (the channels) are all there - all the layers from deep to superficial (bones, joints, connective tissue) are there and very accessible for movement work - correspondingly, there's a lot of energetic transition in the channels/points near the ends - best access to the gentlest form of marrow washing: bone breathing The 12 channels are a big part of the refinery, and - hands & feet, it just makes sense. (And, of course, then the rest of the limbs and onward.) Cool!, the sequence is there online freee! Thank you! (interesting site, I'll have to explore) ~ edit ~ p.s. I feel that it's also significant that the palms and soles are known as chakras, gateways to Light. So, from marrow washing to channels to Light, there's a lot in the hands & feet.

Sifu Christopher Lee Matsuo on AS YOU WISH radio tonight 8pm PST
Trunk replied to pamelais's topic in General Discussion
I was referred to it by ZerosTao (who is a student of Sifu Matsuo and teaches some of Matsuo's material). DGS has an online store and also sells on ebay, but the dvd was not there so I contacted via e-mail and got it that way. His dvd's cost more than most, often $88 or $108, but the material is excellent, way worth it. Of what I've seen so far - I only have the one dvd and have seen a number of clips on his youtube channel ... All very impressive. I'm not a bagua practioner, so most of the Heart of Bagua dvd isn't for me - but some of the basic general exercises, really good. And, if a person were into bagua, looks like really excellent instruction (not that I'm qualified to assess bagua). I just really like this guy. Good heart. Movement shows development. Clear explanations. Pure vibe. - Trunk -

Thought I'd embed that link, I recently bought his "Heart of Bagua" (Bagua Circle Walking) dvd and he demonstrates the standing posture that he is talking about in that video. That single standing posture alone made the dvd more than worth it. Very impressed. -
What THEE heck? Kundalini or evil forces?

Chinese medicine is really good at digestive issues, and pretty good at harmonizing energetic issues. I'd suggest that you go see a dr of oriental medicine. Acupuncture, herbs. -
