Alexandrov, Not surprised that western dr.s couldn't help you. Also not surprised re: the source of the trouble. This kind of situation shows up here from time to time. Not uncommon, to varying degrees. Basically, you're all jammed up in the lower abdomenal area. "Stagnation" is the word that Chinese medicine uses. Recovery plan (follow links below) 1. A couple of supplements 2. Variety of self-massage. 3. Exercises that promote blood circulation in the lower abdomen. Supplements Serra-Gold or Natto-K (either one, take your choice) from Enzymedica (might be sold at your local health-food-store). These are pricey compared to other brands, but it's way worth it - they're much stronger and other brand just won't give you the results that you need. Start with really low doses. One capsule in the morning. Maybe not even every day. Either of these products will help a great deal to break up the stagnation that is centered in your lower abdomen. Critical. This plan won't work sufficiently without 'em. The other thing that you should take is any of the "friendly oils". Olive oil, hemp oil, fish oil, whatever. Mild doses. Self-Massage Homedics gizmo, S wand. Most importantly, activate acupoints and open the channels: The first most obvious places are the Liver channel and twiddling the little orbit, but you'll need to explore channel self-massage more than that because a lot goes through the lower abdomen and you'll need to self-massage channels balanced and somewhat comprehensively. Explore the self-massage section at AlchemicalTaoism.com. Exercises Any aerobic exercise (jogging, biking, etc) to promote general blood circulation. Specifics to promote lower abdomenal circulation: See dealing with the force essay. Also stretching. You should see some change nearly immediately, but it will take a while to really solve the situation. Gradual progress. cheers, Trunk p.s. All of the above is to address your more basic problem of lower abdominal stagnation.

Sequence and details of training. I highly doubt that the coin jump is the first thing that is learned. It's probably the culmination of learning other basic movements. That's why I suggest searching youtube for movements that are accessible to you, and a dvd that takes you through step-by-step. Obviously real skills are developed, and bellydancing has a system of training that has been developed over a long, long time. And it's not shrouded in secrecy, mystery, etc, of the spiritual (and internal martial) arts. Just there for anyone to learn.

Theories on this were batted around earlier in the thread.

Please, everyone, be civil. No personal attacks.

There are always different points of view, and ultimately everyone finds their own way. Love to everyone. (And I'm glad we're all talking civil.) Keith

If a not-often kiss was the only issue here then it would be no big deal, imo. But the context is just bunches of other boundary violations. Like if I got along solid with Yoda, and one day kissed him on the lips... well, it would probably be an awkward not-really-ok moment - but we'd probably get over it. But if my friends were seriously harrassing Yoda and frightening his children and wouldn't stop, and I kissed Yoda on the lips, that would be a whole different situation. Get it?

Read this thread on kunlun. (You'd never guess the +'s & -'s of that system based on generalities.)

We've all got our stuff to work through, no doubt. There are also such things as bad paths that needlessly cause harm for a student due to no fault of the student's. It's nearly-unheard-of to find a school that gives straight talk about which is which, sad to say.

"Lower jiao" translates as "lower burner", as in lower, middle, and upper burners: the three jiao. In common talk, "lower jiao" just refers to the lower abdomen including physical + energetics. Well, the principles are what I stated earlier (re-stated below). Keep those in mind, and then look for methods that align with those principles. There are lots and lots of methods, in various schools. I talk about some of them at my site, read there, various essays all over the place.

It's the sorts of difficulties that erdweir is mentioning that begs the solution of harmonizing the energy in the lower jiao before raising it. Usually this is done by opening the front channel first and bringing higher energies down into the lower -> as a result the lower fills and harmonizes, then rises in a kind way. ~ later edit ~ And the difficulties mentioned are just the beginning with that approach. If you start from the lower and just rise, usually the lower never gets around to being harmonized. Over time this leads to stubborn bound-up tension in the lower jiao, difficult to resolve and a source of all kinds of trouble.

Twiddling on an acupoint until it pulses activates the acupoint. It prompts the pumping of blood and qi at the acupoint, and as a result the acupoint does whatever that acupoint does, with the energies that you have at the time. Might/might not be accompanied by qi sensations in the hands. not so fast!: l-a-z-y pace The Dragon Gate blog posts on the "small heavenly orbit" (SHO) indicate that.
-
If you haven't already, I suggest that you read the orbit section of alchemicaltaoism.com. Various helpful there. Lots of things could be said. Just to mention two things in short: - Do some physical work on the orbit. Moving qi gong. Orbit acupressure massage. - The other channels are important, also, and sometimes get ignored because the orbit gets so much press.

I've been having amazingly good luck with products by Enzymedica. Though my issues have nothing to do with a broken bone. Anyway, they do have some "repair" products (link 1, 2) - might be worth a shot.

And, while we're at it, my pet peeve: Please folks let's not unnececarily quote someone's whole frickin' entire huge post. Trunk

Viewing that conversation, it looked like Stewart's idea about a warning bomb was thought up on the spot. Regardless of whether you agree with all of the rebuttal-commentator's points, it's pretty clear that Stewart's idea was not thought through. My pt of view: Go on air unscripted for long enough and eventually you're gonna say something stupid. I think that Stewart is brilliant and funny and he (almost all the time) keeps things civil, friendly, with interviewees - even when he disagrees with them a great deal. And there is usually reasoned debate. That's more than I can say for ... most 'serious' shows. Obviously I'm a J.Stewart (and S.Colbert) fan. But, if you don't like Stewart (or even if you just wanted to correct that pt and give history), it was probably a good opportunity to correct a genuine screw-up. Seemed to me that the commentator had some real vitriol towards Stewart. Oh, well. People differ.

I received my Redwing book catalog in the mail the other day. Free. Comes out once a yr I think. Really impressive. The book selection just keeps getting better and better. Approx 120 pgs: Classical & Traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese language, adjunct healing arts, spirituality, bodywork, western herbs. Much of the catalogue is directed towards students of Ch.medicine. A couple of books just within the first few catalog pages re: women's issues caught my attention. Essential Woman: Female Health & Fertility in Chin Classical and Pregnancy and Gestation in Chinese Classics. The whole catalog is really excellent. Anyone who wants to peruse some serious reading... a real treasure trove. RedwingBooks.com Get on the list for their printed catalog here.

Nice quote.Could you include the link to that quote? It'd help for future reference & reading. Thanks! I've just started trying products from a company called Enzymedica (thanks! to vortex) and I am very impressed. Their nattokinase product is way way way stronger than what I'd tried before, SerraGold is similarly impressive. They have faq, newsletters, company info that I'm reading through. And, yup, this thread should've been posted in the Taoist Discussion section. It's not an article.

"Since the Pope traveled to Africa and said that condoms are not the answer to the AIDS, pontiff parodies have been pouring in, but not until now has Jesus been involved...especially not in action figure form kicking the Pope's ass. Patrick Boivin, the man behind the exceedingly popular Iron Man Vs. Bruce Lee video, decided to take his stop-motion talents to higher realm to promote condom use." lh0ZB9OD_fg

These things ebb & flow. I think the setup is fine. alchemicaltaoism.com - My version of that, obviously.

uh, ouch. I haven't kept up with this thread, so that might be an accurate thread-summary... but a lot of misses from my understanding. I'm not going to deconstruct it all... but a little. The mundane subject/object split goes away. Much of what we ordinarily experience as 'self' does disappear. But there is also the opportunity to integrate subtle aspects of your body with Light... so (if you're lucky and you've done the right training) the vajra self (gradually) appears and the mundane self goes away. All three of those are flat-out wrong.
