  1. What Happened? Nothing!

Agreed. Lets take this thread forward logically... But it cannot really be said to be independently “real” either. What that means is, the phenomena need awareness to exist, not the other way round. Shiva doesn’t NEED shakti, shakti is his nature. So is shakti independently existent? No. The two are not mutually interdependent either. There is nothing apart from Shiva.
  2. What Happened? Nothing!

Shakti is not separate from Shiva. Like Heat and light are not separate from the Sun.
  3. What Happened? Nothing!

The problem is when we stop mid-way in the process of "stripping away the layers of not-self". Once it is complete, it will become apparent that the layers of "not-self" were only ideas, thoughts that arose in the Self and dissipated in the Self. So the question then becomes -- Is an idea "real" (Here Real means independently existent)?
  4. Psychic Attack

Interesting topic. I used to use a mantra for protection before. Somehow, even in my sleep I used to be aware enough to use it (or just upon waking up). Eventually I started turning around and hugging them, sending them love. As Jeff and others have suggested, having a sense of fear/sense of being victim of an attack only tends to exacerbate the problem. If all is part of your Being, then what problem? What enemy? Love. I had a dream once about my Master and another "dark lord" type character. In the dream the "Dark Lord" figure looked like a vampire and he fed on energy/power from others. As he started draining my master for power, my master opened the "firehose" so to speak. The "Dark Lord" literally couldn't handle the power. My Master said that the power was Love. BTW this dream happened before that Kungfu Panda movie was released

  6. By Dharma you mean svadharma? Because every individual's dharma is actually different based on their own inclinations and prārabdha karma. Yes Self always knows Self but self is the ignorance. I was joking about "ignorance being a sin" btw. Ignorance is a result of Māyā.
  7. Only sin I know of is Ignorance of our true nature Everything else is conceptual.
  8. very nice summary. here's a guided meditation that goes with it.
  9. Ghurni - Inner Whirling

Ghurni is a common term used for "Whirlwind" in North indian languages. Nice the you experienced it. I find that every type of movement is actually a spiraling movement. Hence the adage...follow the curve to find the straight line in Taiji classics.
  10. Can anyone teach me Psychic techniques?

Just because it's in some english language dictionary doesn't make it right
  11. Can anyone teach me Psychic techniques?

That which is considered "a phallic" symbol is actually a representation of Consciousness (Limgam) that rises above the universe of creative energy (Yoni) Half-knowledge is very bad. Makes people look stupid
  12. Can anyone teach me Psychic techniques?

That was quite uncalled for. Lingam doesn't mean Penis. It means "symbol", literally.
  13. Can anyone teach me Psychic techniques?

Matter is part of the dream. Those who manipulate matter are just stuck in the world of illusions
  14. Can anyone teach me Psychic techniques?

It happens to me quite frequently..paper cups etc get attracted to me and follow me around
  15. Can anyone teach me Psychic techniques?

Wells are you still claiming that "Real" Neigong masters have shaky hands? There's a lot more to neigong than just burning paper. Ask if you want someone to remotely connect with you and share presence. That'll be a pretty good sign of their level in Neigong and highly developed shen.
  16. Can anyone teach me Psychic techniques?

Its a trap. I read in this discussion that you do seated meditations/pranayama and self-inquiry. Stick to that. If you want to do moving meditation, learn a good style of taijiquan (Tai chi Chuan). That'll give you enough power to grow spiritually.

  20. The transmission is energy, but energy is knowledge/wisdom. Or you could say, it is transmission of presence.
  21. It’s not that easy to do this without proper transmission. It helps if a teacher with proper lineage (not necessarily traditional) transmits the lineage. After this, it will enable the cultivation of jing/Qi/Shen (like super-charge).
  22. Medha means “wisdom” in Sanskrit. As to whether all taiji practitioners can expect this state depends on the nature of practice AND transmission. There are many who’ve practiced for 30-40 years with no significant progress along the spiritual path (or even the martial path). My master says “what you get from taiji is what you put into taiji”. If you practice diligently with the right principles etc, you will progress for sure. I’d say that having a jnana Yoga practice along with taiji will help immensely.
  23. Regret, guilt and shame

Been there, done that (sans the mind altering drugs). I spent about 5-6 years in a self-judgmental state almost constantly, because the contents of my mind became so apparent. Patterns of behavior and thought which were subconscious came to "light". It was difficult to look people in the eye because of what was going on in my mind. The bad news is that it is very debilitating, as most of us do concede. The good news is that if you are aware of this regret-guilt-shame-self-loathing cycle, that means you are starting to become aware of the subconscious parts of your mind. The next step is to realize that you are not your mind.
