  1. Thanks for sharing. Is there something you have to do, in order to let these sensations rise without getting caught up in the emotions or feelings attached with them?
  2. It's key to know what the source of the issue is. If you know that, you can resolve the issue more rapidly. Some problems manifest as pains etc. Some others as behavioral issues. Some really deeper ones manifest as hurdles in one's life itself...related to work, how we interact with other people etc. Imho, how we deal with each one (many are interrrelated at various dimensions) depends on the intensity and depth of the "affliction".
  3. Pleasure and pain are related. Too much pleasure can be interpreted as pain, and some pain can be considered pleasurable. They can be a result of obstructions. Energetically, The more clear our channels are, the less we feel in terms of sensations. Blockages will manifest as sensations -- which can be embodied pains etc, imho. As these sensations are triggered associated mind stuff always pop up. It is good to know a way clear these up. @s1va, how do you clear these up? Do you think you can share?
  4. And I was oblivious to LU (hadn't even heard the name until Cheya mentioned it to me last month).
  5. As i've experienced (and your explanation), being the "valley" is a matter of responsibility too. As there are others who are dependent on us...so is not be taken lightly or trifled with. Correct?
  6. HI Jetsun, I know the first part seems to be IT for many of us. The non-separation ending is by merging and expanding. First I used to find myself in the hearts of others, as themselves. During the "light work" I find them in my heart as part of me. It is a subtle difference of perspective. it is the same thing (and Jeff confirmed to me that it IS the same) but manifests differently. The sharing of light is non-duality. It only works (or at least works best) when we don't consider ourselves separate from the other. The differentiation that Jeff refers to (as I understand it, Jeff please correct me if I've misunderstood) is of polarity only. He calls it Female-Male, I see it as Yin-Yang. So each expansion requires a corresponding "differentiation". As the differentiation is held, the field of awareness expands and encompasses more and more "stuff". I started to understand this better as articulated here -- The two (nothingness and Oneness) are two sides of the same thing. They are not separate. Since we (i.e. the I AM) is in the middle, either way is sufficient, imho and will lead to the other. On the other hand, both ways are equally fascinating and reveal and help us clear stuff that we are not aware of in the dualistic world in different ways. One of the most useful aspects of the expansion/light work is the ability to clear chronic issues (stubborn traumas that refuse to release awareness and which tends to draw one back into samsara) by initially sharing the light/presence and eventually just letting these issues arise and dissipate spontaneously.
  7. Agreed...curiosity is an excellent thing
  8. Of course I just felt the temperature rising and thought I'd inquire about the well being of all participants...thats all.
  9. I don't understand all the brouhaha over an innocuous post congratulating someone... Why does it bother so many that they are driven to argue and react in such a strong manner? I see a bunch of people who are reacting because something about the OP rankles them...why is that so? Isn't it better to just live and let live?
  10. Om is Brahman

It is said that Om is the sonic representation of Brahman. To chant Om /Aum is to go back in A is expansion (10,000 things) U is the retraction (senses falling backwards) M is the collapse of the mind into the Source (reversing creation of the universe) we are retracing our path back to the source...
  11. I've had to struggle with inflammation for a while now - I think mainly driven by poor diet (too much carbs). Zahler Inflame-X: This is a wonderful herbal supplement which contains following herbs -- White Willow bark Yucca Root Ginger Bromelain Boswellin Turmeric I sort of stumbled upon it on amazon, when I was searching for natural anti-inflammatory supplements. I read the reviews (which were great) and tried it. It works like magic for me. Within a day of taking this, the inflammation in my body (some joint pains, allergy symptoms etc) just disappeared. It also allows the internal energy to shine through, by eliminating the inflammation, which also reduces any aches and pains in the body. I've taken it for about 3 months now and finally stopped to try out moringa (which I've described below). Moringa Oleifera: I sort of stumbled upon this herb recently. We use it heavily in traditional indian cooking (eat with lentil soup/dal a lot). I didn't know it was called moringa, and it so turns out that it is a very good herb for many issues. http://www.ayurvedacollege.com/articles/students/MagicalMoringa I noticed one thing when I started it -- it generates a lot of inner heat (something that people of my constitution - high kapha) might need. I've only started taking it and it's effects as an anti-inflammatory are almost as good as the inflame-x. But since it has other benefits - improves carb metabolization, and boosts the metabolic rate of the body, I am trying it out (stopped the inflame-x). Anyone else had experiences with these two supplements? Any thoughts to share?
  12. World perception

The ego is a phenomenon, just like the mind and the body. They all rise from and fall back into the Self.
  13. Hari Om Tat Sat is a mantra that comprises of Hari Om and Om Tat Sat. Hari is the Manifest reality Om is the unmanifest. Hari Om is reminding us that the Manifest and the unmanifest are one and the same. Om Tat Sat is saying The Unmanifest (Om) is Existent/Real. So Hari Om Tat Sat is saying the Manifest is the Unmanifest, which is Real/Existent. Found it quite meaningful off late
  14. the two levels of enlightenment

Sounds like savikalpa samadhi and nirvikalpa samadhi
  15. RIP Wayne Wirs

The traditional view is that this human life is a gift. It gives us an opportunity to explore what we really are (True Self) more deeply. I read this on the bat gap Facebook page. I've not seen his video or had even heard of him, but it seems his tenure was up (whether or not he took his own life). Peace be upon him...
  16. RIP Wayne Wirs

    This was done respectfully.
  17. World perception

Avidya Lesha - Subtle ignorance needed for a jivanamukta to operate in the dualistic world
  18. World perception

The more detached I get, simpler things become. I can laugh more easily, enjoy things more fully, not take myself too seriously, so on and so forth. I wouldn't say more involved, but more attentive/present to things and happenings.
  19. World perception

"Dream-like" to me means the witness of the dream is involved in, and yet, detached from the contents of the dreams.
  20. World perception

Yes as long as the body exists the world exists. It just becomes dream-like
  21. Taoist Meditation

Where ever you go, there you are. That's what it means by "present". Without being "present", how can you be anything else? why should it be anything else in any meditation?
  22. This guy shows the 1-inch punch --
  23. Reality vs. Unreality

There is a witness that stays even when the mind has stopped. It witnesses the start and stop of the mind, the rise and disappearances of objects. Only problem is that the story-teller i.e. the mind must rise to tell us that story. So both @wstein and @Nothingness are not wrong, imho.
  24. Om is Brahman

Indeed Okay - these are just categorizations. parA-brahman means "beyond brahman". Adding more context here -- http://thenisargadattasadhana.blogspot.com/2012/07/parabrahman-tweets.html
