Upon inquiry, the One turns out to be not a thing either. If you try to find the "One" you end up with emptiness...

Neither the Dao, nor the One are objects

There are 3 valid ways of knowing. Direct Experience - MH knows he has a chair because he can see it, touch it and sit in it Testimony of a reliable witness -- Dwai knows MH is reliable and if he says he has a chair, Dwai knows he has a chair Documentation -- There is a picture of MH and his chair and Dwai has seen it, so Dwai knows that MH has a chair Outside these three conditions, neither MH nor Dwai have any knowledge about MH's chair. Of the 3, the superior one of course is Direct Experience. As far as 13.6 billion years of Universe's existence is concerned - how did it matter to you if you didn't exist? The only thing you know for certain is that you exist and that you are aware. That's the only reason you believe what you do (irrespective of whether you believe there is an objective reality separate from subject or whether an object is real only in context of a subject). Even in your belief, you - the subject have to exist, in order for that belief to exist.

That implies that the Earth is a subject to the object Moon

Object has no meaning without a Subject

Avidya Lesha - Subtle ignorance needed for a jivanamukta to operate in the dualistic world
dwai replied to dwai's topic in Hindu Discussion
RM only told others to ask who they are if they asked for "methods". For many methods were not necessary and in his silent presence they came to awaken. we need to do shravana-manana-nidhidhyasana all the time until the truth becomes constantly apparent. -

The others are also projections of that One Consciousness. -
Found this beautiful excerpt on my Facebook feed so I thought I'd share with my favorite bums

The way I see it is when we do action without expectation of results, but purely from the point of view of doing the work for sake of doing the work, any such action is in accordance with Dao, so is wu wei.

Saddened to learn about this. He was a smart person. I was recently thinking about him and wondering how he and his friend Mikaelz was doing.
-
Thanks Brian. I understood what you meant...I should have been more clear in my post. Perhaps we need another thread to discuss this topic... Best, Dwai
-
I don't think it's possible to know what the wu wei action should have been... Because underlying the topic of the OP, is the matter of Wu Wei, imho.

I wonder what Wu Wei would be in Brian's case?

Yi is Heart-mind Intent. Heart-mind is different from the thinking mind. The spiritual heart is the seat of Consciousness. When we are sufficiently sung and empty, the heart-mind and regular mind are clearly distinguishable, one is insubstantial and the other is substantial relatively to each other. So when your Yi (heart-mind intent) goes in a particular direction, the Qi will flow there. The thinking mind is used to counterbalance the flow of the Yi and Qi. It is kind of weird. I hesitated sharing this with you when i saw your post originally. Most people don't get it. If they don't get it, they will laugh it off. But if you lock away this nugget of information in your memory somewhere, one day when it clicks, you'll go "Aha! That's what the strange guy on Daobums was referring to"...

Fascinating stuff. I had started reading one of his books long back but couldn't make head or tail of it (almost 20 years back).

See a circle from far enough away and it becomes a point again

Does anyone practice these? Do you have good resources/youtube recommended videos on Taijiquan Da Shou drills? Perhaps some unlisted videos (public searches aren't yielding much results) that you can share? Thanks, Dwai

Nice article on the web -- https://auromere.wordpress.com/2009/07/09/vedic-vak-four-levels-of-sound/

Silence is energy in stillness. Phenomena are energy in movement. Energy is not a material power, it is consciousness itself.

What's your Tai Chi (short) form like?

I found a nice wu style demo - done very deliberately, showing the transitions, etc imho. (personally I found the music distracting, so watched the video without music). And here's another showing variations of Wu style -
Watts was wide awake. Only those who sleep can't get him imho.
