Hi curiouswanderer, Sexual energy is indeed connected with creativity. I'll explain this in the perspective of energy. The energy center or chakra responsible for sexual energy and lower creativity is the Swadisthana chakra, or now commonly called the sex chakra. This chakra is connected to the Visuddhi chakra, or commonly known as the throat chakra which is responsible for higher creativity. These two have a close link. The throat chakra can only be healthy if the sex chakra is healthy. Sexual energy fuels higher creativity. If you observe the artsy people, almost always they have a healthy sexual appetite in varying degrees. Sexually repressed people find it difficult to be creative because their sex chakra is malfunctioning and the energy cannot go up to the throat chakra. A strong throat chakra = a strong sex chakra. The flip side is not necessarily true. A strong sex chakra does not automatically mean the throat chakra is also strong. This usually happens when there is an energy blockage somewhere along the energy channels that prevents the energy from going up. These people usually have vigorous sexual appetites that might reach unhealthy levels. In your case, I think you suppressed your sex chakra. Sex is natural, sex is good. Have a healthy attitude towards sex. There are practices to sublimate of alchemize sexual energy to higher forms of energy. The idea to conserve sexual energy comes from the teaching that sexual energy can be alchemized to be used for spiritual development. Therefore, sex energy should not be suppressed. Healthy exercise and a healthy attitude towards sex should fix your problem. It's better if you can come into contact with experienced energy healers to work on you but you can work on your problem on your own if you want. Are you sure it's your third eye? The true location of the third eye is on the forehead. It is usually mistaken as the ajna chakra, which is between the eyebrows. This is not so. The ajna chakra is the seat of the higher will, as opposed to the solar plexus chakra which is the seat of the lower will. Now, behind the ajna chakra is another point that you might be unknowingly concentrating on. This point is called the blue pearl and if you concentrate on this, you might find yourself leaving your body. If this is what you are doing, I suggest you stop temporarily and read up on it, or better yet find a teacher because it is a very powerful meditation and if you do it long enough without the proper preparations, the effects might be harmful. Well, in the esoteric sense, phurbas and dorjes are magical implements. Much like wands, athames, etc in the western magical tradition. I think in India, fakirs have rods that they use as a magical implement. I'm not sure about Taoist magic though, so far all I've seen in movies are wooden swords, bagua mirrors, paper talismans, etc.

I think it would be really difficult to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't at least understand the spiritual path. It would be beneficial if you can be in a relationship to someone who's also in the spiritual path, at least you'd be in sync. Thoughts?

I am a practitioner of Pranic Healing myself. The advantage of external energy generation is you don't have to wait for years for your internal energy to build up to be able to heal. Also, simultaneously external energy generation also energizes you so it's a win-win situation. When it comes to healing, both internal and external energy generation are effective, but using your internal energy to heal might deplete your energy supply. Cultiivating your internal energy is still necessary for spiritual development. In Arhatic Yoga, which is the spiritual practice complementary to Pranic Healing (all arhatic yogis are pranic healers), practitioners are also taught to cultivate internal energy.

The first pair of polar opposites is Kether and Yesod -- spirituality and sexuality. Are they interdependent? The answer is yes! A strong, healthy sex chakra is needed for spiritual development. Sex energy can be transmuted into love and spiritual oneness. Sex is sacred. When it is done properly, it manifests as divine union of two souls, oneness with their higher souls and, eventually, oneness with all. There are several schools of thought. One extreme school of thought has the negative attitude that sex is dirty and must be avoided. With this kind of attitude, spiritual development is impossible. Why? The reason is that sex energy is suppressed and inhibited; therefore, it cannot go up to the upper chakras. This is practiced by the Northern Taoist School. On the other hand, the approach in the Southern Taoist School is done through the sexual act with a partner of the opposite sex. Sex energy is transmuted during the sexual union, manifesting as illumination and divine oneness. Both Taoist schools are equally valid. For a person to practice transmutation of sex energy with or without a sex partner, it is absolutely necessary that (s)he must have a healthy and wholesome attitude towards sex. (S)He must consider the sexual act as natural and sacred. Whether a person should be celibate or not is his or her own personal choice.
