Accupuncture question for you experts...
Spiritual_Aspirant replied to Oolong Rabbit's topic in General Discussion
In Pranic Healing, we have a term "radical reaction". It happens when you energize the affected part without cleaning it first. So before you get better, you get worse temporarily. Usually it does pass, but it would've been much less painful if your healer removed the unhealthy energy before energizing the affected part. -
The fate of Daoism under the PRC...
Spiritual_Aspirant replied to Walker's topic in General Discussion
Mantak Chia I think is the most well known of Taoist teachers today. Try his system. I've also read a book by Wu Baolin. He is one of the high adepts of the White Cloud Monastery. His book on 9 Palaces Solar Qi Gong is great. -
Microcosmic Orbit meditations should clear up emotional blockages. Personally, I do Arhatic Kundalini Yoga Meditation. It's different from usual qi gong and other yoga meditations that circulate energy in the microcosmic orbit because the sequence is modified to produce a more powerful meditation. I guess the most widely disseminated form of microcosmic orbit meditation is Mantak Chia's version. Try reading his Awakening Healing Energy. But I will personally recommend the one I'm using- Arhatic Kundalini Yoga Meditation. If you're interested, visit www.arhaticyoga.org.

Senator Obama or Senator McCain ?
Spiritual_Aspirant replied to Hugo_M's topic in General Discussion
I'm sorry but I disagree. I think Hillary would do better. But since I support democrats, I'd have to support Obama now. But if Obama doesn't win, Hillary can run again in 2012. -
I don't believe in coincidences, so if that girl keeps popping up, maybe karma is trying to give you a hint.. And had you taken it, like Michael said, a phone number too

You have a very good point. -
I can suggest you take your patient to a pranic healer. www.pranichealing.org. From there you can find a list of healers near you. Love and Light.

Everyone post some favorite quotes!
Spiritual_Aspirant replied to GrandTrinity's topic in General Discussion
My favorite quote is by the Buddhist saint Shantideva "For as long as space endures, For as long as living beings remain, Until then may I too abide, To dispel the misery of the world." -
I heard that the energetic cause of laziness might be a weak muladhara/basic/root chakra. The muladhara chakra provides our primary rooting to earth, while the small chakras at the soles of the feet provide secondary rooting to the earth. Since our degree of rootedness to the earth determines our practicality, or vice versa, practicing rooting exercises might solve the problem of laziness.

No, there is no danger in not masturbating. But it would be better if you learn to consciously transmute your sexual energy into higher forms of energy. There is a technique taught by Master Choa Kok Sui about sexual transmutation. I think I read it from his book "Spiritual Essence of Man."

Compare Dan Tien to Chakra?
Spiritual_Aspirant replied to Sloppy Zhang's topic in General Discussion
I can only be sure of one. Lower Dan Tien = Navel Chakra However, in the book "Spiritual Essence of Man", by Master Choa Kok Sui, he mentioned 3 alchemical centers: Crown chakra = Spiritual alchemical center Back Heart Chakra = Emotional alchemical center Meng Mein Chakra = Etheric alchemical center -
Now purports to reveal Christianity: Pranic Healer who Mantak Chia copied
Spiritual_Aspirant replied to GrandTrinity's topic in General Discussion
I think Master Choa modified the original techniques. Master Choa also modified the Five Tibetan Rites to make it more powerful but easier to perform. If you want a detailed explanation of Master Choa's versions of these exercises, read Your Hands Can Heal You by Stephen Co. Master Stephen is a direct and senior disciple of Master Choa. -
http://www.daoistmagic.com/info.php?i=2125 I came across this website a while back. I hope it helps.

Well, ever since I set foot on the spiritual path, I noticed I began to withdraw from my usual social activites. And since the people I live with are not yet on the path, I am feeling a bit lonely. But my teachers say the spiritual path is often lonely, so it is good if you can find a community of spiritual practitioners. There was a time when I wondered why monks and hermits would want to live a life insulated from the outside world, but now I understand. Although I have put enlightenment as a priority in my life, I must admit I am very lazy. My practice is not consistent. I hope I can change this lol.

I suppose the main difference you can see on Taoism vs other paths is it has the significant imprint of the Chinese mindset--practicality and rootedness to the physical plane. Although in the inner teachings, truth is universal, only the methods are different. I've read somewhere and other high practitioners of Yoga concurred that Lao-Tzu, Rama, Padmasambhava, Nefertem are all incarnations of the same Higher Being. So the differences in the path I think are more due to the cultural differences of people.

How can we survive the coming disasters?
Spiritual_Aspirant replied to Li Jiong's topic in General Discussion
I suppose the first thing we should do is try to raise the vibrations of our energy.. -
Well, simply put, there is no such thing as coincidences and randomness. Everything has a cause.

Hi there everyone, I am Spiritual Aspirant (not my real name of course lol). I have been lurking and checking out the tao bums for some time now, but since I am not technically taoist in my practices, although there are similarities, I wasn't sure I would be accepted for membership. Right now my main practice consists of Arhatic Yoga and Pranic Healing. I've read some posts here that refer to Arhatic Yoga so I guess you're familiar with it already. I have also been reading a lot of other meditation books, specifically Mantak Chia's books to supplement my knowledge. I also read Eric Yudelove's Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy, Wu Baolin's 9 Palaces Qigong. I have most of Mantak Chia's books in PDF and I'm willing to share with those who are interested. My interested in the esoteric arts started when I was very young, I've always been fascinated with the occult. As it was, when you are young, the most available material is well.. Wicca. So I read a lot of Wicca books and even tried my hand on a few Wiccan rituals to no avail, lol. Over the years my interest in the occult evolved from wanting to learn magic to wanting to have a spiritual path, which eventually led me to Pranic healing and then to Arhatic Yoga. And there is very short introduction. I am very glad to join this community because it is difficult to find an environment where people openly discuss spiritual practices. I look forward to having discussions with you. Light and Love, spiritual aspirant

As far as I know the Tibetans have developed a system specifically for guiding people in the process of dying. I can recommend a book by Sogyal Rinpoche "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying".

I have her book on Magical Use of Though-Forms and it's great. Very useful.

With milk, thank you very much, lol.

Wow, is that really you? I read your book Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy and it is packed with a lot of info! I've been reading Master Mantak Chia's books to supplement my knowledge and I came across your book at the bookstore so I picked it up. That one book of yours covers around approximately 3 or four of Master Chia's books, I think. Lol. More power to you.
