  1. Answer my questions? You use 3 Dan Tians so You must have enormous power and look a million bucks fit as a fiddle? :P

Age why does it matter I only said I dont believe why you so upset that I said this? If you have joined the 3 treasures (Dan Tian) you would beyond this.....

    Ape

If you asked me with sincerity or even honest skepticism, I would answer you to the best of my knowledge. But I am not going to continue to knowingly give you ammunition when your main goal is to launch cheap shots from behind the safety of your computer screen. If you are so interested, come and meet us in person and decide for yourself. But be sure to have your parents' permission first. We can't demonstrate on minors.

  2. How did I know you would say all that?

No one allowed to question your clip?

So your 3 dan tian power must be high level like John Chang he uses his Lower DanTian, imagine if he uses more Dan Tians? So you have powers of John Chang or above him?

    Ape

Just out of curiosity, Ape. How old are you?

  3. I noticed this teacher's website before and it looked very intresting. Can you give more information about the energy used and why the word spirit comes in the name ?

    Regards, Mike

(edit) I can no longer represent SSTT in good conscience. Dr. Hata has brought too much negative attention to the Lum Lineage. He has been acting without authorization from his teachers.

  4.

I've even tried praying for the Devil and telling IT that I love IT and have compassion for IT and want IT to find peace the same way I have struggled for peace....because Jesus stated, "Love your enemy"....SO who is more of a bigger enemy than the Devil? Should we pray for IT?

I've laid alot on here and am looking to either open some eyes, or just looking for some help for the ranting and ravings of a possible lunatic!

I've already went to a priest, as per my first post in this thread and asked for an exorsism....the priest informed me that he would have to consult with other members of the priesthood to determine if this is a case with merit, or a mental disorder. He did however start a blessing for me, and this is when I had my experiences.

One thing you can do is take responsiblity for all of your feelings and your actions. As I have said, I believe possession is a real phenomenon. But, you are NOT a victim. You created this scenario when you prayed for it. You also can stop it. It may take some time and a good old fashioned exorcism, but you have the power to change this. First thing to do is stop feeding the drama within. Make a firm resolution within yourself that you will seek help and be honest with others. Not necessarily rehashing all the craziness that the demon causes you, but be honest that you started this ball rolling when you sought to escape your pain. Accept your pain and accept God's love. God has not abandoned you, He is waiting for you to ask His help in taking responsibility for your internal issues. Resolve (without drama) to take the necessary steps to find the Truth within and be your true Divine self. If you are determined and have faith you will find someone to perform this exorcism for you and you will find a therapist who can help you work through your issues. It all started with you and it can all end with you. It may take a little patience on your part. Remember, you have been feeding this crazy drama for a few years now. It may take a little while to defuse it. When the demon acts up, just tell yourself (calmly) "This drama I have created for myself isn't serving me anymore. I am willing to let it go." The Demon is actually your servant. Let him go. You don't need him anymore. You are strong enough to face your pain with God's help and the help of professionals.

  5. How do you take out a personal space? Is that using a BLOG? AND How do you even begin to cleanse your spirit (soul) by ridding myself this demon? I have tried so many times, and have fell flat on my face. I'm not a quitter, and will try anything. I have prayed so many times to God to take over my soul and cleanse it, and to help me get rid of whatever forces are at work to make my life miserable, but so far no successes. I'm not that desperate of a person, but now I am very desperate to be happy and full of peace! Please help!

Please re-read my previous posts. You were seeing results when you went to your priest. GO BACK AND TELL HIM THAT YOU INVITED THIS DEMON INTO YOU. ASK FOR AN EXORCISM. Confess and be honest. After the exorcism, continue with therapy, spiritual work and continue to be honest with yourself and work through your childhood/early adult issues in therapy. Your denial is the main problem. But the only way through it is through spiritual help and therapy. YOU CAN'T DO IT ALONE. I can't be any clearer than this...

  6. On another note that someone replied to, inviting a demonic pressence in to take over the pain, I was younger and feeling a sence of overwhelming pain, and said outloud that I would sell my soul to the devil to be happy, and not to feel like this for the rest of my life.

This is when it occurred. I know you say you didn't mean it. But in order to overcome this, you need to be honest. You did mean it at the time. It is not enough to simply say,

I was testing the validity to it to see if it actually worked.
You cannot make excuses for yourself this way. In order to be free you need to admit that you asked for this. Every time you make excuses, you strengthen the denial which makes the situation harder to overcome. You say you are a devout catholic. I strongly reccommend that you go back to your priest and admit to the priest what you wrote here,
I would sell my soul to the devil to be happy,

Ask for an exorcism and follow his instructions. exorcisms work if you are serious about being honest with yourself and committing yourself to live your highest divinity. The demon is a representation of your own desire to deny your internal issues. Do not make any more excuses for denying your pain. Take it to God as you understand God. Continue with any therapy that helps you heal and follow whatever spiritual path works for you. But stop avoiding your pain. Take responsibility for your feelings and seek God's help and the demon will flee.

  7. I would suggest continuing with psychotherapy and also continuing to seek help from a priest if you feel it can help. However, I have performed a few exorcisms and it sounds very similar to what I have seen in demonic possession/oppression. In my experience, there is always a starting point. In my experience there is always a symbiotic relationship with the victim and the demonic entity. If you are possessed, there is something you can do about it. But it is important to understand the symbiotic relationship. When you can understand your unconscious cooperation, you will better be able to change the situation. Were you physically, emotionally, sexually abused? Did you grow up in a dysfunctional home, i.e... alcoholism, mental illness etc... These are very often contributing factors. At some point in your past, If you truly are possessed, you consciously or unconsciously invited this entity in to divert you from other more painful emotional issues. I know this sounds like a judgement but it is not. No demon can harm you without your permission. So, this means there is hope. The demon signifies your desire to "run away" from your own divinity. If you are able to be fearless and seek to face the painful/frightening underlying feelings, the demon will leave. This is very often done through rituals like exorcisms, because it signifies that the victim is willing to "repent" or devote themselves to God etc.. This signifies that the victim wishes to stop hiding from their inner truth and work to strengthen themselves spiritually. Afterwards, It is also necessary to have a regular spiritual practice and continue with psychotherapy to avoid denial. There is never demonic oppression without denial.

If you are serious about overcoming this, you will, but you will need help. Whether it is psychological or spiritual in nature, You cannot do it alone...

  8. does anyone else think that the taobums should gang up and mass heal something.

    possible subjects

    economy

    Illuminati

    gossamers situation

    environment

    ect...

    ^_^

Excellent Idea! Let's pick a topic and work on it for 40 days! Count me in!

  9. The information in the teaching you cite is "channelled". I know that "channelled information is popular, but let's face it. Anyone can claim to be a channel and say any outrageous nonsense they want. It is my experience that our guides have absolutely NO desire to jump in our bodies and speak through us. I have investigated a few of the most popular channelers and have found considerable evidence that they are frauds looking to feast on the desperation and ignorance of desperate seekers. I would not believe anything that comes from a "channeled" source.

  10. hi elemental

any particular reason you choose master cheng's version over the others?

I haven't seen Master Cheng's version except for the trailer... I know that Winn has made a couple minor alterations to the set, and after scrutinizing Sifu Cheng's version, I can see some of what appears to be the original version. Cheng's form looks better and I think is more of what was traditionally taught. So, I would be interested in seeing it.

Anyway what do you feel you get from it that you dont get from Andrew Lums system?

Well, first let me say that not I nor anyone else knows ALL of sifu lum's system. But what I have learned is mostly martial energy and some of the nei kung. Wuji gong has a very light, blissful energy that really opens up my middle dan tien. It is a very peaceful, healing energy. I can feel it opening a "space" in my central channel. It's great for meditation...

  11. Hey bums

I am drawn to the Wuji Qigong from Master Duan Zhi-Liang.

    http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showto...mp;hl=wuji+gong

    http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showto...mp;hl=wuji+gong

The Wuji Gong form that is also called "Tai Chi for Enlightenment" is very different from the Hun Yuan primordial...

I LOVE the "Tai Chi for Enlightenment" and do it 2wice a day. I use it before morning meditation and after Internal martial arts practice. I have Winn's DVD. The production quality isn't that great, but it teaches everything you need. When I have some extra money I plan on getting master Cheng's version, because M. Winn makes some of his own minor changes to the form. It is a wonderful form if you are looking for a purely meditative form. It is NOT a martial form. Many people who have tried it expecting a Tai Chi type feel are very disappointed.

  12. i ws wondering how does hinduism and taoism relate?

(My limited understanding based on my limited experience)

I encourage study of these terms in both traditions and compare...

    Yin/Yang - Shakti/Shiva

Lower Dan Tien, Chi - Brahma (creative principle) procreation and creativity

Middle Dan Tien, Hsi - Vishnu (preservation Principle) emotional seat/Seat of the Soul

Upper Dan Tien, Shen - Shiva (Evolutionary Principle) Merging of Yin/Yang

in my experience, Hinduism is more focused on psychological transformation.

In my experience with tantric (not sexual) mysticism and Shang Ch'ing Taoist energy practices, there is a huge energy difference and at higher levels, (IMHO) one should not mix taoist with hindu energy practices.

  13. Lately I've been looking for memoirs/travelogues of spiritual adventurers. It is one thing to read about techniques, meditations, ethics, etc. and quite another to come across with actual flesh-and-blood life stories.

I'm waiting for Red Pine's Road to Heaven to get into a second printing. I know Michael right now is reading the Gods Drink Whiskey. Any suggestions?

  14. Hello all,

I crack my neck and finger knuckles all the time, and I was wondering if this is bad for you or not. I seem to get conflicting opinions on this, and I haven't really come to a definitive answer yet.

Some say that popping joints wears down the "cushion tissue" in between the two bones. Others have told me (though I honestly can't remember who, when, or where) that the actual popping sound is just the release of accummulated and stangnant qi. Obviously, allowing stagnant qi to flow is a good thing, and just as obvious is that it is bad to wear down the tissues that cushion the joint.

So lets hear it. Good or bad?

under normal circumstances, the sound of joint popping is just releasing trapped gasses in the joints. It is perfectly fine and in some cases desirable...

  15. wow you are long winded LOL---I should of said that kundalini is one of the strongest energies of course The God Force is the highest---lost I could say but what is the point---Kundalini is the Mother

    Peace

This long winded response wasn't only for you jedi. It was a culmination of this whole thread. Peace

  16. Now for the term Shakti. Shakti means Feminine power. All female deities are Shakti. There is no such thing as male shakti. Indian tantric energetic traditions focus highly on the power of Shakti. Why? Becuase they are focused on burning through Karma. Shakti is seen as the All powerful force because she is Karma, she is weight, gravity. She is seen as the power of creation. Since Shakti is the force which defines creation, it is the power of limitation. The person who can master this power can master creation itself. But Shakti has a Master. That master is Shiva. Shiva is the heavenly force. The force that guides the power of creation. Shakti worshippers seek to unify their limitation with limitless Shiva. But there is a state beyond Shakti and Shiva. There is what we call Wuji. Unified potential of the Infinite. I could go on and on and on, but this is Taoist forum, not a hindu forum.

My point is that Kundalini can be the Ultimate power. But if it is, then that is because it is limitation and karma that you worship. It is a valid path and will lead to ultimate liberation. But it is also important to understand what these terms mean. and for me, Hindu paths do not correspond with goals and methods of taoism.

For me, the Universe is a multifaceted hologram. You can look through one facet in the diamond and see everything else through it and believe you understand all. But, if pull the diamond away from your eye and look through another facet, you will see everything again but through a different view point.

Kundalini is one facet, one gate to the Infinite. But there are other facets to look through. For me, Kundalini and Karma are one facet. Tao is another. They have similarities, sure. but they go about the process of unification with the divine in a different way.

OK, Sorry for the three page diatribe. I am done now... (let's hope)

  17. Kundalini is the accumulated Karma or human consciousness of the Soul of the individual. It is not the Soul. It is the karma consciousness of the person, the "self" consciousness of the Soul. It is the force that allows the Divine Soul of the person to become weighed down and incarnated into a limited human body. Without kundalini, our Souls would identify with the Infinite and not be able to be crammed into a limited human body. Kundalini is the compressing force of Karma that defines us enough to be able to have a personality. That is why Kundalini is called the "Mother". Because She "created" us and gave birth to our identity and person. So, if Kundalini is the most powerful force in the Universe for you, that is because you identify with your limited personality and it defines your entire existence..

The Chakras: The seven Chakras are not simply energy refinement centers. They are portals to the seven levels of reality. ( it is said that in whatever chakra your kundalini is when you die, that is the realm of existence your Soul will go to before reincarnating.)

1st Chakra: Earth-Base of Spine. This corresponds to the Earhtly realm of existence. Things, stuff, Authority figures. People who operate from this Chakra seek physical comfort. They relate to authority and parental figures. They are like small infants who need the love and approval of Mom and Dad. They are great workers who just want safety and security and guidance through life.

2nd Chakra: Sexual center. people in this realm want to express themselves and begin to relate to others. Through sex and romantic relations. This is also the beginning of creative impulses.

3rd chakra: Navel. Individuality, power, control. This is the realm of the warrior. The personality begins to seek independence. This person seeks to lead and control. This is the realm of the General. business tycoon, plitical leader. This is the realm of the soldier who bravely defends his family and friends.

4th Chakra: Heart. This is the realm of the religious zealot. The self has realized that it is not an island. So, it seeks to commune with Infinte Through the community. This is the realm of selfless religious love. The self seeks to commune with other people and Unite with "God".

5th Chakra: Throat. Here the Self begins to individuate again. It has realized the limitations of group consciousness and seeks to commune with "God" alone. This is the realm of the celibate hermit monk. This person is seen as a very wise and mysterious Guru.

6th Chakra: 3rd Eye. Here the Self has dissolved most of the boundaries between itself and the Universe. Here opposites begin to merge and ther is no more"I" and "You". The kundalini (Self) has moved through all 5 elements. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether and has command over the elements. This is the Realm of the great wizard Gurus,

7th Chakra: Crown. This is the realm of Samadhi. Perfect union with the Divine. Here, the Self has release all attachments and is One with the Infinite. This realm is beyond description.

At this point the Kunndalini (self) begins to descend back through the Chakras. When the Self has reached the Root chakra again, the person is considered fully enlightened. Now the person can mix with all peoples and relate to to them on any level without attachment. This is the "Siddha" the Rishi.

  18. For all the grief I gave to Mak Tin Si, I have to agree with him on one thing: There are alot of people in the west who dabble in taoism, hinduism, buddhism and throw them all together into one pot not realizing what each tradition means and is designed to do. As one gets deeper and deeper into these traditions, it becomes important to better understand the purpose and focus of each. And it may become necessary to make critical choices as to what one wants to focus on. Because each accomplishes different goals.

I know there are some on this forum who will disagree with me sharply and possibly take offense to what I will share. But these terms have specific definitions within a specific context of a specific energetic tradition. Kundalini, karma, shakti etc cannot be fully understood if taken from their original context.

As I have said already, there is alot of misconceptions about what kundalini is even among most yogis. If someone has a powerful experience with energy and it is labeled as kundalini for you by someone else, then that is what kundalini is for you. If you have a powerful energy experience and you yourself label it as kundalini based on your understanding, it does not mean that the energy you have experienced is kundalini in the original context of the meaning. If you HAVE had an experience with kundalini and it is the most powerful energy in the Universe for you, then that says something about your focus and state of existence. Because Kundalini is NOT the all powerful force in the Universe. It is only ONE force. It is not God. It is not Universal energy etc... If it is that for you, either you are mistaking it for something it is not or your entire focus in your existence is still limited. When we understand the true defintion of kundalini you will see what I mean. I want to stress that the definitions I will share with you are not MY definitions. These are the definitions of the terms as understood by indian tantric masters.

The point of all Yogic work is to move kundalini through the chakras and burn off karma so the aspirant can be free of illusion and attachment and not have to be reborn. The Chakras in Indian traditions do not correspond with daoist energy centers. Because they accomplish COMPLETELY different goals.

Dan tiens in Daoism are the energy centers where the energy is stored, mixed and processed for higher development. (there are many others on this forum who can describe the function of the dan tiens better than I so I will leave it to them to explain) Chakras have a much different energetic function than dan tiens ot meridian points. What I am about to explain in the following response is the Yogic understanding of Kundalini and the chakras. I am not trying to state fact. Just the context of that tradition to better understand the function of kundalini, karma and chakras in the Indian traditions.

  19. It is a stance of the mind.. not a hard slog...? However, you may need a hard slog to get to the position of allowing yourself to hold that stance of mind..

    well said!

this is the main hurdle to Shang Ch'ing taoist energy practices. acquiring and maintaining that mindset in Spirit Fighting is the most difficult. Once you arrive there, it is a whole different universe!

  20. well you go with what feels right. Again do not take this as an ATTACK towards you. Its not I am just speaking in general based on my experience. Take it or leave it...... :) Either way I send you peace & love.

There is a "Balance" in things. You can not have Shiva with out Shakti and you can not have Shakti with out Shiva. Even in Tao these principles and flows exist.

You are again "terming" & categorizing one thing over the other etc. TAO is not just Down Flow or "SHIVA" Power.

    Technically in TAO...

"Man Follows Earth (SHAKTI) Earth Follows Tao (Shiva)."

And also becareful with Categorizing Shakti as just "Earth" or just Kundalini = Earth up through man energy etc. Do not try to "box" Shakti. ; ). There is infact a "MAHA KUNDALINI". So do not try to box it as the energy in your spine or the energy of the EARTH alone.

There are greater things that exist on a Macro Cosmic level as well as greater things that exist on a very very very subtle MICRO level.

Peace & God Bless to you,

    Santiago

Santiago, my friend.... Until you and I agree on what the words Kundalini, Shakti, Shiva etc... mean we cannot have an intelligent conversation. In order to communicate, we need to have a common understanding of terms. I have trained with tantric Yogis in the Indian traditions. They have different definitions for these energetic terms than you do. But that is irrelevant because your students and teachers share your same definitions and it works, so it's really none of my business. I am sure if we were to only speak in Taoist terms to explain your experiences, I have no doubt we would be in total agreement. I could once again spend many paragraphs explaining your misunderstanding of terms like Shakti etc.. according to the context of the yogic tradition in which I learned them... But I really have no beef with you or your teaching and I have no desire to continue to play word games or argue about nonsense. I have the deepest respect for your traditions and for you as taoist and From now on when I see you use those terms I will do my best to put my history with those terms away and translate them into taoist terms so I can understand them and enjoy your wisdom...
