Great responses so far, I suggest listening to each of them and take it to heart. What you're going through, Hex, is something a lot of people go through, and in my humble opinion can be counted on as one of the first stages of real spiritual dedication. You've realized the path you're on isn't like some dieting fad, it's not something that you pick up just for kicks and don't really care about what other people think because it's not like you're really dedicated. You are dedicated, and that's why you care. So in a way, these feelings are a positive sign Now how to overcome them? Understanding is the easiest way to do this. As others have said, try to connect with these people- on a physical level (friendship), emotional level (more serious relationship), energetically (try to feel how what they are doing is helping/hurting them spiritually). Basically, nobody does anything without a good reason. The problem is that we all have a personal standard of what constitutes a "good reason". People in abusive relationships sometimes stay in them because they still love their abuser, and think they will hurt the abuser while leaving. Someone on the outside might think, "that's ridiculous, that person needs to leave the relationship now!" So everything those people are doing is, in their mind, helping them. When you really get inside their minds and understand their reason, not only do you stop feeling annoyed at their behavior, but you understand how you can help them. Telling someone who is obsessed about what other people think of them that "hey, don't care what other people think of you", 9 times out of 10, isn't going to do much.... you've gotta turn it around into a positive, and the only way you're going to do that, is through understanding. Annoyance, in my experience, stems from a lack of understanding

Yes, you're on the right track John Zen. If you want to have multiple orgasms, I suggest reading up on the experts: women! While it's now commonly known that women have the capacity to have multiple orgasms, there are still women who don't have multiple orgasms, and even some women who have never had a full orgasm at all. I suggest reading up on articles that help women achieve multiple orgasms, the same rules generally apply to men. Try to stay relaxed, try to feel pleasure circulating all throughout your body. Don't try to rush, which is difficult considering that most people are taught that masturbation is a no-no, and masturbation, being the best form of practice, is where guy normally learn what gets them off fastest so they don't get caught, so they never learn how to prolong or enhance the experience. So aside from learning a new skill set, you gotta unlearn your old one! This lady has two good videos: one and two Now as far as things like "locking" and "contracting muscles" and things like that, well, a lot of that stuff has been taken out of context. Those are techniques suggested to use once you get past the point of no return, that keep you "in the game". However, the method of having multiple orgasm does not involve going past the point of no return- those techniques are last ditch efforts which, basically, are how you deal with your failure, and are NOT supposed to be used as the primary method of how to have multiple ejaculations. Relax. Also, pay attention to your body and how it responds. Eventually you will get a very good feel of all the muscles involved in the process, and then you can gain control of them. So you reach a point where you have a good feeling of all the muscles and areas involved in orgasm, and learn to not involve the muscles involved in ejaculation. Basically, it's just like learn to control any muscle group that isn't used daily- at first you don't feel anything in the area, most people tell you that you can't voluntarily control the area, then you start to feel it, then you work the muscles, then they get toned, then you can control the area at will. In my experience, the only way you are going to do that is through observation and feeling, which are aided immensely by relaxation. Also, Stoner Shadow Wolf makes great points as well that you should consider in the process as well. Too relaxed, and you'll lose the arousal!

Hack away! I honestly have no clue. Hmm, yeah, that's interesting. I dunno, I've always felt kind of.... apprehensive towards methods like that. Same thing with hypnosis. Even in Bardon's system, he has a method for "auto suggestion" where basically you get into a half awake/half sleep state before you go to sleep at night and tell your subconscious to make changes. But to me, that puts a level of distance towards things. You have your consciousness, then you have your subconscious which is doing its own thing, and you have to come in from the outside and reprogram it. I dunno, something about that doesn't sit well with me. I prefer a method like B.K. Frantzis' inner dissolving process, where you feel some sort of feeling or emotion, and you follow it. If images keep popping up in your mind (from the subconscious, for example) you follow it down towards the subconscious, and you work with it directly. To me, that's a method that I like. Because at the end of the day, the subconscious is still you. So, I always prefer the more direct methods. Using self suggestion or "reprogramming your mind"? Maybe it's effective, but I just don't like the method. This happens to be a specialty of the ever-so-infamous Wan Qi Kim. He's written a couple blogposts on the subject on his website, journik.com. Here's the first one: And the second post he made: Just something to think about! I agree, I've been referencing every couple of days since I saw them!

Why is jing so important in chi cultivation?
Sloppy Zhang replied to enouch's topic in General Discussion
I'm just trying not to offend anyone's sensibilities I think a lot of threads in the past have tackled what jing is. I think a lot of people have already pretty much said that equating jing with semen or saying that you waste jing (only) during sex isn't really accurate. That said, I think in general you're more right than I was in reference to what I posted above, but when enouch said... I was thinking of him working out his third leg [edit] For stems cells- there are several different types of stem cells and they come from several different places, so if you're worried about stem cells.... you probably won't have to. You have other stem cells that can turn into any cells you lose when you "release your essence" anyway -
Balance- thanks for quoting directly from the book! I really like how Yang Jwing-Ming is always very detailed oriented. His was the first book that I got on the subject, and even as a beginner I really appreciated his attention to detail- helped me get the lay of the land and to know exactly what I was getting into. Interesting! I've recently tried two experiments to try and figure out where my "dreaming state" is. Basically, in the morning when I wake up I try to stay "in the middle" between wake and dream- when my eyes are open, I see the normal everyday world, but as soon as I close my eyes I am in a dream (there is no blackness at all). But I'll try centering my awareness there and see what happens! As far as the point itself, I too have experienced it (or at least, in its general area). During meditation I'm sometimes able to center my awareness in that location, as well as during qigong (yeah I know, I should be keeping on the lower dantien ) In some systems that require visualization I have tried, I feel like that some visualization is a layer above it ("surface" level), like on a normal thinking level, but when I dig deeper and think from that lower, deeper level inside my mind, it's much clearer, and it feels more integrated with the rest of the world. The "surface level" thought state seems very forced, sort of like I am trying to put a flat piece of paper on an uneven surface and trying to write on it.

Granted, you have the best sleep of your life. But now you can never sleep again. I wish I was a ninja.

I think in another thread enouch was saying something that he had heard of a 72 chakra system before and that it was quite common. I had never heard of it. Maybe you can ask enouch where he heard about it or if he can post any info on it. I haven't heard anything about it, then again, I don't research much into stuff like this.

Stoner Shadow Wolf.... You got it.

Some new videos uploaded onto his channel: Looks like he's lost a lot of weight. He's looking a lot younger than in some of his older videos.

Human race 'will be extinct within 100 years'
Sloppy Zhang replied to mjjbecker's topic in General Discussion
Yup. It's not necessarily the individual events, nor their size and scale, but their frequency. Not only do we have a lot of BIG problems happening right now, we have them happening more and more often. Sure, big stuff has happened in the past. But, bigger things have happened in the past. But so close to one another? Hmm, I dunno. -
Why is jing so important in chi cultivation?
Sloppy Zhang replied to enouch's topic in General Discussion
Tao Apprentice says that he has a friend who has an uncle who's bangin' chicks, and this guy's in his 80's. I think a large part of it his how you handle the energy and how much of your body you are connected with. Most people aren't connected with the legs. It's hard to stay connected with the legs. During sexual activity, energy and blood is drawn to the genitals. Part of this blood and energy is drawn from the legs. If you're already out of touch with your legs, then this makes the connection even worse. A lot of guys feel drained after sex. Some guys don't. Some guys feel energized after sex. You can move around the sexual energy like you can move around other types of energy. During sexual activity, you can help it to re-energize your body. You can train so you stay connected with your legs, and in fact, your entire body, during sexual activity. Getting your whole body into the process, not just your man parts, is a big part of helping to stay energized. I read one guy saying that he had sex before a fight, and that fight was the best fight he's had in his entire life. If you good "sex before a fight" you get all kinds of results on it. A lot of people say a lot of different things. Which is true considering there are a lot of different people in the world I say do what works for you. Forget what other people are saying, listen to your own body. The whole "do this" or "not do this" because you "must conserve jing" leads to a whole lot of problems, and I best most people lost more jing and qi and all sorts of other things trying to conserve it than they did when they didn't even care. -
Can someone just invite everyone in thetaobums Because with myself included, people wanting to join seems kind of like a trend........

What is your favorite Qigong System and Why?
Sloppy Zhang replied to Raymond Wolter's topic in General Discussion
This. Emphatically. This, for me, involves looking in and understanding yourself, and how different practices affect you in different ways. If you can do this, then you can find your weak points and where you need to work on, you can understand how a system affects you, and you can understand how different systems can work well together or not. -
Well it's good you've got similar experiences anyway. It's good to know you're not to.... heh.... "green" The reason I brought up the spiritual angle is, well, it does kind of have a precedent. Vegetarianism is done in Hinduism. Then naturally there are people who are like, "I can reduce my karma through vegetarianism! Wait, if I become a vegan, even more reduction! Wheee!" You just gotta do it for the right reasons, and you have to keep your head about it. Like others said, you have to know what you are going to be naturally missing out on with this diet, and how you can replace it to keep balance. You sound like you got it under control, so you should be fine, and as long as you just do your research and check the requirements for everything, you'll be fine. There's a term for that. It's called "being a beast." Your buddie's uncle? Yeah. He's a beast. Nature's like, "whoa, slow down- here's CANCER." And his uncle's like, "NO." And the cancer is like, "YES SIR!" Some people are a beast. This guy's uncle is one of them. That or he drinks Powerthirst: (the proof is at :40 bet he has 400 babies too )

Smoking and spiritual and physical cultivation
Sloppy Zhang replied to hajimesaito's topic in General Discussion
I don't remember the exact quote, but I do remember when he mentioned that Wang Shujin could injure peoples' spines by hitting them with his ginormous belly. I just.... I dunno. I mean I got respect for internal martial arts, I got respect for internal martial artists, and I got respect for anyone who is able to perfect their art to such a high degree..... But.... you just have to laugh sometimes..... It's just... so.... funny...... Sorry for getting way off topic. -

Really, talk about Wu Wei. "I ain't gonna hurt you kid.... you're gonna hurt yourself as soon as you punch my belly!" -
Prepare for your life to suck. If you have any attachment to brownies, cookies, sandwiches, or anything other than bread and vegetables, you should turn back now. Consider first becoming a normal vegetarian. Then if you are really committed to not eating anything that has ever come in contact with an animal, THEN become a vegan. Because if this is one of those "oh, veganism helps you become more spiritual, I want to become more spiritual, therefore I shall become a vegan!" then five minutes later you dump all your brownies into the trash, well..... by the end of the week you are going to be dumpster diving looking for your brownies!

Smoking and spiritual and physical cultivation
Sloppy Zhang replied to hajimesaito's topic in General Discussion
I mean I'm not saying that it didn't, I'm just saying that this stuff happens despite already amazing progress and/or abilities. Daniel Murphy wrote an article here about Bardon: A Perspective on Franz Bardon and one thing he talks about was the spirit of Bardon taking on the karma of the body- so if you believe this to be true, the karma wasn't even "his" per se, but was still something that had to be balanced out. B.K. Frantzis mentions in one of his books that no matter how high you are able to cultivate, you must remember that you don't make the rules, you're just another player in the game. One danger of getting attached to "abilities" is you getting the mistaken idea that you are somehow "creating" stuff on your own. But really you're just using what's already there, and it's dangerous to forget that. I dunno man, guys like Wang Shujin could really put you down Actually more like you'd put yourself down trying to put him down -
Smoking and spiritual and physical cultivation
Sloppy Zhang replied to hajimesaito's topic in General Discussion
Everyone's got their own problems. Franz Bardon was known to smoke and drink a ton of coffee- like, an unhealthy amount of coffee. He also was captured by the Nazis and thrown into a concentration camp, then was captured later on by the Russian Communists where he later died in prison. With all the abilities to heal and all his clairvoyant faculties, why couldn't he save his own life? What he said was karma. Everyone's got karma and everyone's gotta sort through it to balance it out. We've all got our problems, and we all have to work through them. There's a story in which Franz Bardon healed some girl who was ill, but it was her karma to have that illness and die at a young age. Bardon started to get sick and unable to do anything. As the story goes he returned to that girl, explained the situation, and she agreed to take her illness back. Some things you just have to work with. At least that's what they say. -
Could you go more into the distinction between the "real" and "false" dantiens? I've heard those names thrown about before, but I don't know too much detail about them.

As the saying goes: It's funny because it's true.

Something that Dr. Baolin Wu wrote in his book "Qigong for Total Wellness" is that perfection and unity is the goal that one strives for- NOT a prerequisite to start practice. You might have all kinds of problems prior to practice, and it is THROUGH the practice that you are able to let go of the problems, and move further along the path to being a more balanced being. So there's something to keep in mind. Plus everything that everyone else has said so far is true, I think. Adopting many of these practices prevents dissipation of energy, and helps you channel your energy to productive means. And to that end, you should be channeling energy TOWARDS a PRODUCTIVE goal, rather than trying to NOT DO some BAD GOAL. Trying to "not do" something, in my experience, only keeps the focus on that something. Best to direct the focus to something else, have the energy go there, and the "rules" will happen on their own accord.

Where can I sign up?

Some people are indecisive, you know. I'm pretty indecisive. You don't have to be committed to a path to write a post. And you know, basics are everything. You can spend a lot of time thinking you know what you are doing, then you realize you don't, then you gotta go back to basics. And then you have questions related to basics. But you feel awkward posting about them because you already have a lot of posts and you don't want people to think you are stupid for asking such basic questions..... I've contemplated making a new account so I can ask "basic" questions without fear of ridicule (yeah and the above was totally serious....)

I think what therion says rings true from my experiences- there are some things that you just connect to and pick up naturally, and other things that you don't. It's one of the reasons why I DO think that people can learn from books- who they are learning from isn't important, it's their connection to the material, and if they can really connect to the material, then like therion said, the techniques become like magic. Stuff falls into place so naturally, that you progress by leaps and bounds. However, I think More Pie Guy has a point too. I think that through enough sincere work, you can align yourself with the energies in the lineage. Of course, this all requires genuine sincerity. A lot of people out there doing things they aren't cut out for, and that they know they aren't meant to do, but are trying to do anyway because of whatever reason. But that's a different topic. So again, aligning with the energies is necessary, but one can also strap your boots to the energy
