Louis CK is pretty funny but extremely overrated IMHO. Your mileage may vary.

Your reading comprehension skills seem to be lacking, because in fact, you dont seem to understand what I wrote. For the third and final time, I do not believe these peoples claims about Babaji one way or the other - I am simply showing you that they are out there. Up to you to comprehend that or not.

Yes it is important to realize the distinction made in the practice of dzogchen, which is specifically not a transformation. Preliminary tantric methods of "transforming poison into medicine" no longer apply. Poison and medicine remain as they are, and neither are harmful or beneficial. "Resting" in the essential nature of awareness (rigpa), implies an ongoing activity that has been called "self-liberation" of phenomena. The most common metaphor is either that of the mirror or the crystal ball. Whatever appears in front of the mirror is reflected within it, but when it leaves, the mirror remains unchanged. If you set a clear crystal ball on a table with a plaid tablecloth, the crystal ball appears plaid as well, but when you remove it, it is still the same clear crystal ball. In both instances the phenomena leaves no trace, and yet the infinite potential of reflection is always present. Recognizing the basis or ground of perception is discovering this quality of awareness. Resting in it is just that. That is why pointing-out instruction comes first, which becomes the path, which stabilizes as the fruit. Rigpa never changes, only your relationship with it does. Visions or not, that really has nothing to do with it. It is not about any particular experience, but rather the inherent possibility of it at all. Trekcho and togal are not "beginner" practices, especially if someone lacks the facility of "calm abiding" which is trained by shamatha or zhine. In some cases, preliminary training may not be necessary, but that is extremely rare. It may also be advisable to gain some facility (or even mastery) of the transformational practices (of visualization, mantrayana, pranayama, etc.) as well. Even though a return to the origin does not require a journey, how we have become what we are is the essence of where we are going as a composite of elemental processes. That is why discovering the root of the natural state is the same as realizing the body of light, which is the primordial source of phenomena itself.

The point is that your initial claim was incorrect, and I know how sincerely you desire to be correct, so I am just helping you to achieve that. You said "no one has seen him", but by your own logic, unless you are there personally "to hold the candle" or whatever, you cannot say whether it is true or not in regards to these other people who have claimed to.

I was just stating that some people have made claims of meeting Babaji in person. I never said it was true or not. You said "no one has ever seen him." So, by your same logic, unless you were there in person as well, you cannot say whether it is true or not either. Jumping to conclusions over stuff like this is to be expected however, especially in certain cases. And yes, the claims of nath lineage are pretty funny. Way too many frauds out there are saying it too.

Nice little reference to the dangers of (what chogyam trungpa called) "spiritual materialism" here. People become attached to "spiritual" practices and ideas and end up using them as just another prop for their ego. Instead of becoming more humble, they actually derive further self-importance from their "spirituality". Especially the "what goes into your mouth" part is interesting. Think: pork, shellfish, etc. He is saying kosher is bullshit. In todays terms, you could say "it doesnt matter how much of a vegan you are if you turn around and act like a sanctimonious asshole."

Not true... (allegedly...) and also this guy claimed to have him as teacher: And those are just the ones Im familiar with.. Im sure many others have made the claim of meeting Babaji directly

This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth: As below, so above; and as above so below. With this knowledge alone you may work miracles. And since all things exist in and emanate from the one that is the ultimate cause, so all things are born by adaptation to this one. The sun is the father, the moon is the mother; the wind carried it in its womb, and the earth nursed it. It is the source of all works of wonder, and the eternal will is contained in it. The fire of potential turns to completion in this earth. Separate this earth from the fire, and the subtle from the dense, gently and with attentive artistry, arising from earth and descending from heaven; gathering the unified strength of things higher and lower. By means of this unity all the glory of the world shall be yours and all obscurity will flee from you. It is a force beyond all forces, for it will overcome all that is formless and penetrate all that has form. By its power the world was created. It is the source of endless wonders, and this is the way they have come about. It is for this reason that I am called Hermes Trismegistus; for I hold the three essential wisdoms. This revelation of the solar work is now finished. - Emerald Tablet of Hermes

The indus valley civilization predates the Vedas, and the Sanskrit language. We dont need to debate this, its already been done. Im not necessarily interested in proving ancient history, either. But the common ground of religious symbolism and various interlinked etymologies spread across numerous languages attest to a widespread influence of a common ancestral heritage among cultures ranging all across europe and asia. That is not to say those ancient peoples or their influences are "superior" in any way. But they clearly got around, and they clearly had an influence.

"Karmakazi" is a play on words. Why compare it to the crucifixion? Because of the statement made by Thomas.. "you will pick up stones and throw them at me; a fire will come out of the stones and burn you up." Now, replace "pick up stones and throw them at me" with "pick up a cross and nail me to it", and then you can fill in the rest.

You mean the Theosophists? The Thule Society (which later became the nazi party) had a few ex-theosophists in its ranks. But yes, the idea that aryans (sanskrit for "noble") are a master race from atlantis comes from Blavatsky, and "The Secret Doctrine" et al. Oddly enough, the aryans (or whoever invented sanskrit) did not originate in the indus valley, they were just conquering nomads who passed through. Pantheons with storm gods at the lead is a common cultural inheritance among a number of different races/cultures. That particular bloodline seems to have been dispersed all across eurasia thousands of years ago.

That would shed a bit of a different light onto the crucifixion, wouldnt it? Depending on the intent and what was known beforehand, the idea of a "karmakazi" style event isnt outside the realm of possibility. Especially when you think about the "i do not bring peace, i bring a sword" and "cast fire upon the earth" quotes.

Click the link and find out. Its a book about the correlations between the gospels and yoga, using quotes from various scriptures, but mostly the book of John.

they are both from the indus valley, long before either nazis or buddhism
