  1. Gospel of Thomas

He surely kept his work, I can say that much
  2. "Right Bucks" by Ken Wilbur

Yes, but that's a bit different, isn't it? And, for instance, if you belong to a spiritual group, it's much like you belong to a family.. My mom never charged me money for raising me as a child.. Moreover, people that are inclined to the spiritual, oftentimes don't handle the material world very well. (maybe it's one of the reasons they choose the spiritual, the immaterial??) And viceversa. edit 'spells'
  3. "Right Bucks" by Ken Wilbur

About 'paying for dharma', excuse my ignorance as it is, but did Buddha's disciples paid the Buddha for dharma? IMHO, paying adds a nasty vibe to a spiritual 'group' or person, and there are many out there that are in the 'business' because it's profitable. Recognizing this fact doesn't make me a 'hater', it makes me more aware. Besides, in the age of the internet, paying for [this kind of] information should become obsolete. If there are cases where it doesn't, I suspect addiction to a guru's charisma. You have to pay him, because he's going to tolerate you around, and 'bask' in his 'light', hehe. What do ya'll think?
  4. The Skeptic Within

imo, a skeptical mind is a prerequisite for being spiritual, it's a skill of the spirit, critical thinking, also.
  5. 3500 clams each, but no business...pretty confusing, if you ask me
  6. Adrenal Fatigue/PE/Over Masturbation

Agreed! Also, if you want to know what is your real sexual potential, you should cut down sugar and most of the corn syrup foods. After a few weeks you'll return to normal - which is not masturbating 4 times a day, no matter what you've heard. You yourself seem to be aware of it, otherwise you wouldn't have asked.
  7. "Deep" internal qi-gong

Agreed! Also, you should keep in mind that not having a regular practice allows your body to express its ups and downs, the flows and the ebbs more naturally, and it's (body's) wisdom can teach you alot more that an... over imposed system - by this i mean the case when a guy THINKS this or that practice is good for him, but the body believes otherwise. There are alot of nuts out there, let me tell ya. And just because the nuts go nuts, you shouldn't be wary of dreadful warnings.
  8. HAPPY NEW YEAR! =D

Nice reminder: we're actually spinning round and round... Happy new year guy 'n' galls !!
  9. Top 3 advice from you to you

There are no good advices that you can follow prior to an unpleasant but awakening experience... So... my advice would be, 1. go on with it, if it turns out good let other people know 2. if it turns out bad, look around and find a method to make something good out of it 3. don't forget that you have only one life you can be certain of L1
  10. Encounters with the Nagual

It has some potential, but it looks crappy to me. Doesn't have the bite of the authentic stuff we're talking about...
  11. Stig's post reminded me that we left this discussion still pending... Are 'daoists' the individiualistic type? I would say so..
  12. Shugenja Unite!

Who are we to decide that who's more 'enlightened' that the 'masses'? Maybe more deluded...looking for pink elephants in the astral dimensions
  13. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and still have their shoes.

  14. gallstones: flush or operation ?

Hi Harry! nice to see you're on top of things. don't worry about doing what's needed to be done. many of us wouldn't be here if it weren't for the 'depraved' modern medicine, hehe. we owe it alot... keep up the good work and follow lady Miao's advice! speedy recovery L1
  15. The best method of Jing retention that I have found

It's either I fail to see any difference, or you aren't very accustomed with Chia's method - which is a method that combines physical movement, intent and coordination. I am REALLY interested in any other methods of qigong/neigong that deal with the sexuality aspect, because I believe it's crucial to summing up your ZHI spirit - the spirit of will-power, which is necessary if you want to get your practice to become a regular thing. Although there are some that blame Chia's practices for decades now, all the methods that were presented until now were variations of Chia's, give or take some minor adjustments. So I was really excited when I started reading this thread, hoping I could read about some new fresh unseen before method. I'm still reading.. and hoping.. L1
  16. This year - the third - we've started using a pretty cool software called Wenlin, which allows one to instantly translate words and expression in a text by pointing your mouse at it. Sean, I think it could be a welcomed addition to your learning kit. Good luck on your jurney, mastering Chinese as a foreigner would be a pretty impressive achievement. Although I must confess I'm aware of multiple other functions of this software, that I quite don't know how to use. Is anybody out there using it?
  17. Quite the contrary, I'm surprised you haven't noticed. I think you deserve better than this. As for your wild speculations, they'd have me really amused, if they were issued with less hypocrisy... But still, they're worth a giggle. edit: darn 'spells'
  18. Then you won't mind if I'll be outspoken. I too hope you find your fame and fortune somewhere else, without trying to sell....ehm, in my native language, we call what you do "selling the skin of the bear, while the bear is still roaming in the forest"... I have no qualms with you, i respect intelligence where i see it, it's just your ways that get me to react (this is what's written in my signature: i'm all good, until you make me react!).
  19. There is this common misconception that being positive justifies next to everything. IMO it doesn't. It's just a mask behind which people "innocently" throw poisoned darts at one anther... I dislike hypocritical positivity more than I do honest negativity... I've spoken my mind, and maintain what I said. L1 edit "spells"
  20. Why? Really, why? You believe what you want, but I'm past being defensive towards someone in particular. Calling me names isn't alot helpful either. Like I said, believe what you want. It's not the first time you jumped to conclusions regarding me. Of course it does. This attitude of superiority only adds to my disgust. But I never called you disgusting, your methods surely are though. I'd better be myself and passive agressive, like Craig here says, when the situation calls for it, than posing into a positive know-it-all, with a hidden agenda. My signature tells you everything about me. As does yours.
  21. I sometimes don't understand why you feel the need to post. It's clear that you didn't even bother to read carefully what the poor guy said. But then I look at the links in the signature, and this urge of yours suddently seems to make sense. Disgusting. @neiye I read your post, and there aren't any personal attacks that I can see... Thanks for saying yourself things that I'm already tired of repeating.
  22. Well I tried to make a difference here, sharing my own experience. I have made a thread in the article section, that seems to be quite popular - if we look at the hit count. It rested there, I didn't make much fuss out of it, yet people read it and I like to think that they got their second opinion there. In time, the opinions modified towards some kind of balance. They start to understand that they have their share of responsability also. And now it's known that Universal Healing Tao is not just about sex - that's what others want you to believe... UTS means a whole, integrated system, that has tens of thousands of practicioners... and instructors themselves, by the hundreds. It developed into many branches, with many good teachers that have their own talent of putting things into certain perspectives.. Unfortunately some practicioners cannot get over their negative experience, and project their feelings into general assumptions. If anyone is silly enough to trust other peoples' ideas before having their own (having your own experience with sexual gongfu means practicing in a rational, educated, non-compulsive manner, which, I must say, is quite rare).... well, I think I'll stop here L1
