  1. The Inner Engine - Project!

This is practically a project, and i'd like to invite as many as possible to add their 2 pence to it... The name of the project is... The Internal Engine. When I reffer to the will to practice, I don't mean casual practice, but actually a kind of practice that is evolutionary, in a sense that it makes you break your own limits, and test your dedication in a more, ehm... serious way. The kind of practice that you add daily to. That is challenging in more than one way. The idea of the internal engine is as follows: - we have the inner spirits, each of them is temporary in command during the day. - if we know how to act in our relationship with each of them, we can get their support. this may happen whether we're talking about the strongest or the weakest. - if this works as planned, each of them would be able to feel inside you the necessity to practice... I hope i made some sense. L1
  2. The Inner Engine - Project!

it's done by some simple calculation, there are quite a few websites on the internet that can offer you a natal chart diagram for free... just google chinese astrology online.
  3. My Resignation as a Moderator

For what is worth, I didn't agree with the idea of volonteer mods, yet long term results show you guys were right and I was wrong. Stig, sorry to see this, man. L1
  4. Free Speech and Moderator Action

IMO, most of the persons that question the mods, are themselves VERY questionable. No judge would make a case from this. Let alone stand for it to extend to...8 pages???
  5. Water Method and Inner Smile

People would fall for any idea because they don't know better. IME, it only counts how does it fit to your specific needs. Taoist, Neo-taoist, Buddhist, Confucian, Alien.. unless you need a Ph.D, phew, irrelevant! Seeking the root of the roots, is only for the insecure. Is like, hey, before pasta existed, people just used water... and that's all. There was no fire, no pot, no salt&pepper, no tomatoes. So, if you want to really eat, eat water...
  6. Are Qigong Forms BS?

Hard to argue with a brain on a stick. When patience fails, remember, he's just a brain on a stick.
  7. Sheng Zhen?

Judging by the purity of that lotus picture TradeMark, i'd say definately evil. I'm not into fluffiness...
  8. Are Qigong Forms BS?

That reminds me of a brief introduction to a Chinese novel, written sometime in the beginning of the 20st century, where the author feels compelled to reassure the reader that if he, the reader, doesn't understand what he writes, it's only because he, the reader, is not educated enough... Mind you, we're speaking about an ordinary novel... L1
  9. Are Qigong Forms BS?

TM don't you love it when the right question appears?
  10. New Interview With Chang's Top Student Jim

I like Jim's energy in the interview. He seems to be nice guy.
  11. Mantak Chia's Materials

Firstly, meet the guy(s). After that, if you're still interested in 2 cents, let me know.
  12. No amount of counseling would clear that. You are already immersed in negative energy, and live it daily - it can become an addiction, as can suffering and being a victim. Sowly it builds up into a way of life. The others can help only by letting you have their energy of pity/empathy/compassion... like feeding a vampire - you have all the symptoms... funny nobody else noticed. This one it's all up to you... It sure is ALOT of work. Sorry if i sounded too un-sensitive, just offering a perspective that's all. L1
  13. worth creating an honest poll here thou' i think the question is pretty deep
  14. IMO Taoist secrets of love still remains the best book on daoist sexology written in the West... and this IS funny, because it was written in the '80s. Thirty years afterwards, and nothing comparable to that is revealed anymore... Sounds like the first landing on the Moon, never followed up by anything. Regarding sexual practices, if you want to know how to express them in your daily life in a natural and un-technical way, you may want to check up the upper formulas as well. If you focus too much on them, you may miss the big picture. TB is the relaxed practice. PL and SC is the power practice. O U Draw is the crowning practice. Start slow, and always come back to the basics when you get stuck somewhere. Good luck!
  15. Dawg, would you mind telling me what is there exactly that you see in the spirit world? Thanks! L1

  17. Qi is NOT Energy

I know, it sounds silly. I asked the same question three years ago, here. What is Qi?
  18. Qi is NOT Energy

I can, but it has to be from Chinese... Who knows? Thank you.
  19. Qi is NOT Energy

That was a mind opener. Just remembered that the embodyment of the Eight Forces into the Human Info-energetical system consists of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels. As far as my limited knowledge goes, Chinese metaphysics may very well be the means of expanding one's own practice, because it functions like a chart that describes the complementary forces and the routes... pretty neat way of expanding your energy and awareness... If this leads to happiness, I think it's a good practice. Which remids me... @Taomeow, I have to make a graduation paper for my Chinese bachelor's degree. The options aren't very rigid... I have to pick one of these three: - Xi You Ji aka Journey to the West (there are two stories with the same title in Chinese, one reffering to the legend of the Monkey King, and the other, to the journey of Qiu Changchun, head founder of the Complete Reality Branch of Dao. The linking factor, would be, in my project, the attraction that Chinese people have for the West... Jeez, it doesn't make any sense, does it? I might as well add West Side Story to it..) - Ling Bao Bi Fa an analysis on an important daoist work, I have both the Chinese and the French version of it - I don't think my teachers would be that excited about a project on daoist mysticism thou) - And, I Ching... I know it's a vast subject... I remember you reccomended 'The web that has no weaver' as an introduction to what it seems to you the most ballanced and appropriate interpretation on I Ching. I was hoping you could suggest other works maybe, or other p.o.v related to I Ching, perspectives new for a worthwhile paper...
  20. Qi is NOT Energy

Thank you Taomeow, is nice to see someone else having simmilar interests. I can witness the effects of the Wu xing inside my body, and outside. But I can't figure out what the Qi types corresponding to the eight trigrams would experience like. I'm not even sure they are experience-able. I know I've put the question backwards, this is how I usually solve them, starting from the tail to the head What got me going with it was Ken's assertion on his blog that there are nine types of Qi, and the one that is looped into the SHO is the third. Just boggled my mind.. Really appreciate any input.
  21. Qi is NOT Energy

If we look at the 河圖 and 洛書 number maps, and their corresponding 八卦 Diagrams, the Yuan Qi must occupy the central pivotal role of the map. Is this correct? Also, regarding the other types of Qi that correspond to the trigrams, how can we find out more about them? It seems that the Bagua Diagram reffers to 9 types of Qi, of which Yuan Qi is the Original Qi. I suspect there is also a progression, according to daoist esoteric cosmology, that the practitioner must repeat inside his own body, from most common type of Qi found in the world of the 万物, up to the highest of the 元气. Thank you L1
  22. The "Choking Game"

    Hugg.. L1

  24. Recovering yuan qi

Some things are only to remember. Memory seems to play an important part in this universe.
  25. Recovering yuan qi
