  1. I tell you, the teachings of Jesus Christ can be really diabolical In the sense that, in a world full of belief systems and practices that enchain and destroy people's lives and souls (occult, witchcraft, do-it-yourself energy practices etc), Christianity may very well be the single safest and most nurturing belief system there is. i know Safe and Nurturing doesn't sound like much... well you should visit an Asylum for a change of viewpoint... many seekers end up there. Christianity can be, and still is, an oasis of peace and tranquillity, in a desert of hungry desperados. You can take that to the bank, i thi-ink Re-think it through
  2. saying all the relligions are simmilar beats their own purpose a man is on a path because it gives him identity by means of separating him from the large mass, and on the second hand, helps him regain his own personal identity a mass has no identity, hence no spirit this is not to say spirit and identity are the same
  3. tooth regeneration

let's not forget marrow regrowth and jing replenishment these seem to be the support on which all the others can work
  4. I'd take all Clavell, Frank Herbert and Asimov's Sagas, The Daoist Writings, my Chinese Teaching Manuals, Agriculture and Tree Cultivation Manuals all of Master Chia's Book Collection - i'll finally have the time to go thru all of it... keep it coming, i'm sure every title inspire others to grab and dust some of the great inspirers of our life
  5. Thank you guys and gals, i'm glad you like the thread too. I'd add some spice to the plot by adding another question: which of those books you'd take with yourself on a desert island Ok, ok, i know it's hard to decide... would you make a list? I forgot about Ouspensky's books... I loved those alot.

  7. False realizations

hagar, this may be off-topic... the sequence from Big Blue reminded me of a movie that i've looked for for five years now... i dare mention it here, in case someone knows about it. the story was like this, a young man somehow gets a job at a car junkyard, where he meets a weird old man. the old man makes him do all kinds of stuff, that seem nonsense and painful at times, but they were a method of "cleansing". the idea was to open the doors of perception. the old man was desperately trying to escape the clutches of this world, by escaping an eagle, that was both reality and metaphor. he had a funny looking mecanical plane, in which he took off to confront the eagle... he "died", but left a sum of very interesting instructions to the young man... something like "one of the trees in the forest is yours. go and find it" "feel the things between the eye" and so on... it was a story of modern shamanism, inspired by something i guess. really cool movie. i was into Castaneda at that time. it was on TV, in English, done in the '90's i guess. didn't quite make it to catch it's name...
  8. Sorry to dissapoint you guys, but it seems that Christianity was/is the same as all the paths of cultivation... Whether you speak about Taoism, Buddhism, Shamanism, Islam, Masonry, whatever, you have to go thru a series of ritual steps that create a sort of a bond between the disciple and the path. Then comes the practice, neigong or whatnot. First you need a teacher. Otherwise we are not on the path, we are walking aside it. It's like being a doctor. You need to get through a school, pass a lot of tests, earn some diplomas etc etc. If you still like one of those paths, or more, you should consider yourself a free-thinker, that's a more honest label, if you like labeling -ISM's. You cannot be a Christian without being baptised, it's in the code. Every path has a code that determines whether the person is inside the path or outside it. And there is a lot more to it. The same with Jesus. Jeshuah. He was an arab. Every age paints Him differently. In the Middle ages he had funny medieval clothes, in the 20th century he looks like a blue-eyed handsome American. Like they say in the movies: "Nigga' please..." If you had the real photo of Jesus (which it's do-able, i think, due to some crazy technology that the Vatican seems to possess)... I don't think his face would match up to your dreams of Him Otherwise this can be called self-taught semidoctism... That is, do-it-yourself-paste-it-with-ducktape-to-make-it-work kind of a guy... E,
  9. "Journey to Ixtlan" by Castaneda i learned to take responsibility for my life, for my feelings, and dare to go for the Big Fish!
  10. False realizations

hi there hagar, *like your posts* i think you already know by now that the more complicated the question is, the simpler is the answer but how can we get to that without being oversimplistic, that's another good question if i was to make it into a sentence, it'd sound like: Hey, what if i'm wrong?.. so, what if? if you are true to your heart, and take responsibility for your feelings, why doubt them? in the end, All-Is-True, as someone here said. i think our real quest is to see how far can we go, both in and out, we're always testing our limits and they say there are no limits, so why worry... *this is not a new-age statement* L1
  11. What are you listening to?

Ya man, "Yes IS the word to everything" These days i'm listening to "Arabian Nights", a nice looong story, on my mp3 player. Arabian story-telling is just amazing.
  12. EMF pollution protection

  14. Jing Questions

Hi SZ, Over the years, the subject of Jing changed to a passionate research, once I could pull my head out of what people generally think Jing is. You know, it is a miracle, just think of the fact that it can replicate and perpetuate life. On one hand it can perpetuate life in the visible, when you have kids, on the other hand, in the invisible - when the process of conversion starts, and Jing starts to "feed" the process of alchemy. There are two main roads that my research took me up so far. 1 - the path of the western science: it's very interesting to see how - once we understand that we as individuals are a huge bunch of different types of cells, constantly replicating (thus using Jing) - the original idea that Jing is sperm cannot hold out. Then you can start searching for all that is involved with this information replication, and with all that has carrying information as a main function: neuropeptides, neurotransmitters, enzymes, hormones, even lymph and blood. The thing is, you can discover this way that Jing is not localized only in one part of the body, you can see it's an essence that is present everywhere. 2 - daoist-type cosmology: it's also involved with the transmission and replication of life, energy and information. there you have the answers regarding the transformation of the prenatal into the postnatal, and the road to get back to the source of the primordial qi. In my experience, there cannot be only one way of replenishing the original jing. Although our body is made to function in a just-so manner, meaning that we all work the same way, and in one way mainly - the practicioners can link and activate different types of physiological processes in the body. It's like having a quantity of dots - representing the systems of the body -, that is usually connected with lines in a certain way. If you know how, you can derive the wisdom to connect the dots in a different way, for a different goal, with different results. I think it was tried out thru all the history of the practicioners... mainly by trial/error methods, some of them inspired by the masters, some of them depicted from the laws of nature, or, as above, from laws of cosmology. For me it's still one of the most fascinating research... It's still a research, so I can't tell if I got anywhere with it... just some interesting experiences, together with a new attitude towards this subject... L1
  15. Intention

hi CarsonZi my experience is this, if we set out our goals too high and too pure, it's the easiest and safest way to remain the same old idiot. and a canned one. btw i appreciate the original idea, and i agree that we shouldn't stop at any level, but just keep on going from good to better... beyond, and beyond the beyond... pure meditation is like pure water: if you put fish in it, they die quickly
  16. The Tao Bums Know-it-Alls

so, you had a dissapointment so sorry to "hurt your feelings" duh. welcome to the real world keep a straight upper lip
  17. Secret of the Golden Flower

it's supposed to be a secret, i don't think you'll find it on the web that guy in the link is putting his own thoughts as the practice, you don't need to be an expert to know that
  18. Step-by-step solo cultivation...

Yes, that was the idea. There were, and still are practicioners that don't have the right approach to the seminal kung fu practice. My experience, and the experience of my friends and practicioners, is that if you take things as they are supposed to, gradually and in their right order, you will have only good experiences. In regard to Kunlun, i really don't know. It's not my piece of bread anyway... i do have enough to practice for the next hundred years anyway Good luck with practice L1

  20. Aliens?

hi, can you give a refference to that? where and who said that.
  21. Communism and taoism

Mister, we can't seem to get through to each other... so let's leave it be. I still don't think that one can learn too much from a High of the Highest masters. We first have to meet people that are near our own level, and that means starting humble. Peace L1
  22. Communism and taoism

I don't think you (wanted to) understand what i've said. So i'll make it that i didn't get your point either... and respond like this: of course being 漂亮 makes a lot of energy flow towards you whether you can use it to heal or not, i don't know but i'm pretty sure it allows you a greater success in life, if used with the proper mindset
