Thanks for your interest Pietro. I was still a little one the days the Red Courtain fell. But I knew enough to at least make some idea of it. A small example, back in our Red Courtain days, the daily TV program from the ONLY TV station allowed by the gov, consisted in roughly about 2, 2 and a half hours or maybe a little more daily. Mostly communist propaganda, and some old western movies, or else some sovietic war movies. The communist propaganda was everywhere. Back then most of the people knew that the atheist communist want to enslave their soul and mind. They had their own way to avoid that... some with culture, some with relligion, some practicing something. The advent of advertising companies, and all the western money-making propaganda, was our gift after the "liberation". It was pretty hard at the beginning, but in time we could also recognize another propaganda, in other terms this time, made up to drain us of blood and money. So my people went thru this two times at least, and have build up enough suspicion not to belive in fairy dreams. Many of them know that "equalty, fraternity, liberty" are only words that mean nothing to the ones that declare them out loud. It's almost impossible to make a transfer of experience. It's just nothing new under the sun.

I'm not by far American, but allow me to make some observation: - many things that cannot be understood by watching closesly, can become clear from a distance... from where i am, we see the good ol' US of A, in deep shaite and still sinking. very fiew of my countrymen believe that 9-11 was anything by a cynical plot. there are a fiew that can see further and understand the necessity of it. - no different with the economic failure, still another plot. - obama is just a necessary puppet - events of this magnitude aren't left to the mercy of God, or to luck... even less to the "free will of the American people". you know what your problem is, you still live in a dream, the American dream. it's so darn well made-up, that it'd take forever to break out of it. the simplest way is to get out of there. this doesn't mean that conspiracy fans are right. the level of control in our time is just higher that people accept to believe. we have been born in a country that doesn't have the amount of financial power to build a dream of that magnitude, but we've watched it growing, over the years, since the falling of the Red Courtain. some of us get caught in this dream, but most of us still have a sufficient grip to the real world to know what's behind this show. and i have to agree, topics like this, and the penile thing, first on a daoist discussion forum, makes you wonder... i hope i didn't cause any patriotic heartaches L1

maybe what he means is that feeling the Qi means more connection with the body, and not being locked up at brain level, i.e visualisation etc. now, that being said, allow me to make a point: VISUALISATION DOES WORK. IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE, TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT HOW "GOOD WISHES" AND "CURSES" TAKE EFFECT IN EVERYDAY LIFE, AND HOW "DAYDREAMS" COME TO REALITY. EVERY INVENTION EVER DESIGNED, THE VERY THING I'M WRITING THIS SILLY MESSAGE WITH, HAS ONCE BEEN ONLY A VISUALISATION IN SOMEONE'S MIND. it does a hell'uva good job... on the other hand, another form of being loked inside your own head would be the idea that everybody's a moron and we are the only one thqt knows anything of value. i doubt that the secrets of Jing Qi and Shen have been mapped out completely. open mind is still a requirement, a prerequisite. you'll be in for big suprises if you don't. well, i don't mean you, i mean "you, generally". up until now, regarding Qi work, and even Jing, and Shen, I think "Intent" is the key. i'm not so sure what Intent really is, come to think of it L1

If we take two steps backward and get a better look at the difference in the cultural setting, I think this whole daoist discussion could go up to another level. I think we are all kind of aware of this difference, but I don't know how many of us can see that it cannot be surpassed only by wishing so. Also am refering to cultural settings more like in different ways the human mind could work. I mean many of us want to "be" daoist, but this is only a thin layer that covers centuries of western-style mind and heart programming... Any thoughts? L1

If someone drops daily a ton or two of fertilizer on your lawn - I would have said you instead of lawn, but it sounds less agressive - would it still be a great oportunity? If someone would shoot fertilizer from a fertilizer-cannon, at your lawn, and your house, everyday, would it still be resolved by philosophy? It happens very often in everyday life. It can reap your energy field apart, whether you belive in it or not. At least that's how life in a big city can be... Changing Qi from one frequency to another, I don't think it's hard, but from my experience, you can do it a little amount at a time, and in time - long time - as your power of "digesting" grows, you can face piles of crap with the utter smile of the Fo. There's another issue, which Craig's teacher spoke about. If one has "spirit", every type of Qi can be nurturing. But, again, this path is also long and arduous. For me, I try both of them, when I have the time. I find the transforming path more deep and more nurturing. The "spirited" path is very good to use at an instance, when you have little time to think about Qi or stuff. It's an attitude, you build it by exercise... it also does not come easy. L

It's not by chanse that I'm interested in this kind of things. Most of my search up until now has proven to me that the most valuable lie inside the most humble practices. Following this idea, you could say I'm sure that practices that refer to crappy stuff could eventually prove more worthwhile than the brightest bliss ever. Not to say they are not linked, they are. So, did anyone buy it?

Funny thing you noticed that. Well I think he knows it, it's around that age that this "truth" settles within a man. It's said this is the beginning, but for most of us, it comes when we have next to nothing to cultivate with. Without this, we are outside the schoolyard... As you noticed on other threads, there are many debates here that betray us for what level we are at. Much too human. But as I said, we live in different worlds.

I didn't knew your age before I saw those picks of you. And it still does not add up. You should know by now that there's no such thing as freedom. Or truth. What exists could be described as a colorfull Enormous diversity of living things and beings, on various stages of development, that this diversity matches up within itself, by laws that man can understand and adapt to. Even this "truth" cannot grant any supplemental "freedom". Also, there's not clarity inside your posts to carry out your goal, whatever that is, to it's completion, on this forum. Besides advertising against new-age practice, what else do you want? I still wonder what you really want. L1
