  3. Encounters with the Nagual

energy cannot be destroyed. hence, the humans are a transforming force. they are too asleep to do it on purpose. they are made to do it. by who, i dont know, maybe it has something to do with the food chain that we are part of. some reliable sources tell me CC didnt die. so the question is, why did he made it up so that we would be very convinced that he did die. i think it is the premise that is center to the philosophy of the warriors: that we are beings that are going to die. what better lesson than to show it with your own example, huh CC?
  4. Encounters with the Nagual

"If you want to know yourselves, be aware of your personal death. It's not negotiable, it is the only thing that you can seriously own. Everything else may fail, but not death, you can take that as a fact. Learn how to use it to produce real effects in your lives. "Also, stop believing in fairy tales. Nobody needs you out there. None of us is so important that it justifies inventing something as fantastic as immortality. A humble sorcerer knows that his destiny is the same as that of any other living being on Earth. So, instead of having false hopes, he works concretely and with great effort to escape the human condition, and to reach the only exit we have: The breaking of our perceptual barrier" "In the view of such ignorance, it is normal for an ordinary man to feel panic regarding his end, and try to deal with it with prayers and medicines, or confuse himself with the noise of the world. "Human beings have an egocentric and extremely simplistic vision of the universe. We never stop to consider our destiny as transitory beings. However, our obsession with the future betrays us. "The sincerity or cynicism of our convictions makes no difference, because deep down we all know what is going to happen. That's why we all leave signs behind. We build pyramids, skyscrapers, make children, write books, or, at the very least, we draw our initials in the bark of a tree. It is the ancestral fear, the silent knowledge of death, which is behind that subconscious impulse. "But there is one group of human beings who have been able to face that fear. As opposed to ordinary people, sorcerers eagerly seek out any situation that will take them beyond social interpretations. What better opportunity than their own extinction! Thanks to their frequent excursions into the unknown, they know that death is not natural; it is magical. Natural things are subject to laws, but death is not. To die is always a personal event, and for that sole reason,' it is an act of power. "Death is the gateway to infinity. A door made to the exact measure of each of us, which we will all pass through someday, returning to our origin. Our lack of understanding impels us to see it as a common reducer. But no, there is nothing common about it"
  5. Spiritual Politics and Practice

oh i remembered there is something more to add. starting with spiritual practice is not very difficult to do. because everyone has some resources. the catch is, spiritual acheivements cannot and willnot solve physical and emotional issues. it's like trying to mate an ape with a penguin, they are so different. each domain, the physical, the emotional, the mental, the spiritual, has it's own set of cures. some people say that starting up with spiritual practice, before you understand the other three domains of activity, can lead one to evolve up to... his/her own level of incompetence... which means sooner or later you will get stuck somewhere, and think This Is It. so it goes both sides, living tao practices cannot lead to spiritual acheivements, and spiritual tao practices cannot heal everyday issues, including sex, money, health, social behaviour, and so on. the point is, we need both. the frustration comes when we see that there is so much to work with in living tao practices, that we can never hope to ever see the moment when we start to work with the spiritual aspects. enough said

i think i found a cure interesting enough, maybe even palatable to you. sacred geometry. it balances both hemispheres, this is how the TrUELy open the gate between them.
  7. Most EFFECTIVE form of Meditation?

hi WYG, has it ever occured to you that the most effective form of meditation is the one suitable for you? meditation is a cure for the mind. if we look at how we cure the body, there are simmilar procedures: for example, before you give a man his cure, you seek to see what imballancies and disease affects him. then you look at his physical shape, is he in good shape, has he a good stomach to digest the cure, or should it be applied othewise, maybe injected? each of us have a chanse at enlightment and immortality. with what? with no more than what life puts in your way. what you attract. to find the best method, is to know how you function. the method is just an algorithm. there are many, and there will ever be many more invented. because the methods were conceived for the man, not the man conceived for the methods. it you are a martial artist, you would love seeing the movie "The Silent Flute". im sure this question will be adressed for millenia to come, this is my small contribution for it. good luck L1

Always glad to discover familliar intelligence "You" critique Feynman? Which "you"? I told you before, i like your way of getting scientific explanations for meditation practices, i appreciate it. Your mind can make classes and classifications and tables of things, and mate and dismate them. This is actually what you do. But the mind on it's own cannot know truth from fiction. It's in the phisiology of the brain, im sure you know that. Find out how Nash came thru, im sure it will be of great help oneday. good luck L1

this may sound off topic, but one more thing i - and others, learned from this forum is: you dont really have to be right on something, to get to be believed... you just need to sound convincing. if you investigate some more, and ask the guy the right questions, as in: - do you think, is this really how things are? you will get something strikingly simmilar to: - Yes, i belive so, how else can it possibly be? off topic closed... and reopened.... i think santiago had a really good teacher. the fact that people that had good teacher (they may be on distants corners of the earth) have a common knowledge on things is too big of a coincidence, isnt it? i just reviewed the film "A Beautifull Mind", the story of the (in)famous (we know why) John Nash. and i remembered some words of Milton: "The human mind has it's own place, and in it / it can make a hell out of heaven / and a heaven out of hell". The stronger the mind, the less chanse to break through, and touch the real world. Nash's wife gave him some interesting advice: "Maybe the solution to your problem is not in here (touching his head), but more likely in here (touching his chest)". There is another story, about a man guarding a treasure (one of the three treasures?), he became so obsessed with it, that he transformed into a beast trying to protect it. retention practices are this way. ejaculation is the easy way to "let go", and let the energy come down from the head... sometimes it works that way. This doesnt mean ejaculation is a good thing, it's just better that burning out your brain.

i sadly agree, many of the thrill-seekers out there get to this point. but there is always hope.... the feelings of democracy are build too deep in some people, and they think the universe must be pliable to their wishes and dreams also. they forget that the universe is run by laws unbending, and our work is to bend over them, and study and make them a part of us. instead, we try so hard to bend them instead, to fit our perception of things. our perception is not even ours. but nevermind, we are just wispers in a rioting crowd im glad at least i found some common intelligence

i think Santiago said a lot of common-sensical and valid things, Drew, for God's sake, listen to the man one thing that should be added, the incorrect practice and incorrect understanding are supported by entities that feed on the energy that practicioner produces, milking him like a cow. the return to real world and real practice would be better described as... exorcism ?? good luck L1
  12. Spiritual Politics and Practice

im thinking of posting some of my posts, to sum up some article, regarding this system of practice and its logistics. still pondering.... im thinking something like Trunk's contribution. it was awsome at it's time, but needs constant re-adjustments. otherwise, not before long, people will start thinking that it's all smoked out, nothing else to see. but people just dont know...
  13. Spiritual Politics and Practice

im happy for you. maybe this information would be of some help, when you have to deal with nay-sayers. there are mainly two ways of practicing taoism: - the day-to-day, living tao, that adresses health benefits, healing of chronic diseases, strenghtening of the tendons, bones, senses, and the general sense of wellbeing. also emotional balance, serenity and inner peace, and a new way to regain confidence and good relationships. for some of the seekers out there these health related and emotional related issues are "The Lesser Dao", to say the least. many of them even despize them, sort of. other seekers have developed some maturity and understood the value of these aspects, and go for it, caring less for other people's distrust. - the next level is the immortal dao, or the spiritual practice of the tao. i cannot comment much on this, as i am bearly a beginner myself. the thing is, the technical issue is, that you cannot use the same type of resources for the both of them. this means that living tao practices help you do just that, live happily, stronger, yes wealthier, and more at peace with yourself and with others. so you cannot use living tao methods to attain spiritual acheivements. but living tao acheivements are, at least as taught my mantak chia, the foundation of higher practices. alchemy and meditation burn up huge quantities of resources. you need to build up resources for the higher practices, using living tao methods, which are, practically, a healthier way of living... the nay-sayers will learn to understand this, as their reserves will someday reach the bottom good luck L1
  14. Dragon Breathing

the dragon-tiger breath adresses the issue of condensing the qi in the lower field, but it has many other health benefits also please dont experiment from books, unless you are a genius the books are only additional information to the live classes you could learn from teachers or instructors i think that what i learned to apply from his system until now, is much more valuable than the money i invested in the books and workshops if something really works for you, it will also improve your health, mind power, and wealth also money seem to be attracted by energy, isnt this the funniest feedback one could ever have maybe even the subject of a new topic
  15. there is a tao sage, i forgot his name, he said that if everybody would mind their own business, the world would really be a better place confucian and buddhist preachers criticised him, but still he has some followers that understood the depth of this idea in short, my take on it is that suffering is a personal lesson, it's very personal, just try to take it away from someone and see what happens. it's as priceless as happiness
  16. Stillness vs Visualization meditation

And speaking of the Devil.... What do you all understand by Stillness? Im sure there is a different approach on it in every system you meet. Without a proper definition on it, there is no proper understanding, i feel. Stillness of what?
  17. Encounters with the Nagual

Another difficult part to understand: "From the sorcerers' point of view, the object of grouping themselves is to ensure their passage to another level of attention, since without energy mass there is no flight." "Do you mean that solitary warriors don't have a chance?" "No. What I'm saying is that a party can go further. "Imagine that you live in a colony of gregarious caterpillars who are in a state of metamorphosis. Suddenly, one of the cocoons breaks open, and its resident leaves in a momentary explosion of light and color. The sensation you're left with is that the caterpillar disappeared. For the caterpillar itself, on the other hand, its true life as a butterfly will have begun. Now then: A solitary caterpillar is more likely to end up in the stomach of a bird. "In the same way, the ulterior objective of warriors is the definitive jump to the third attention; the liberation from all forms of interpretation. The quantity of energy that is necessary for this can only be achieved by means of a special consensus of critical mass, in order to generate the necessary agreements to compact the energy. "However, since many parties are not able to reach the completion of their energy, naguals have built an inhabitable oasis inside the second attention, an enormous edifice of intent in a remote region of dreaming, where seers go alone or in small groups. I call it 'the dome of intent', because its visible form is dome-shaped, but Don Juan preferred to call it 'the cemetery of the naguals'." "Why did he call it that?" "Because staying in that space to live implies the sorcerer's literal death. In a sense not at all allegorical, it is a cemetery. Although those who choose that destiny have achieved the expansion of awareness for an enormous period of time, they will have to do without it when the moment arrives. "So, for many sorcerers, the immediate goal of the party is the dome of the naguals, in the hope of being able to use it as a transit port where they can accumulate provisions for a great expedition. To get there, it is not necessary that the whole group leave at the same time. Sometimes, warriors choose to go one by one. In that case, they can partially return, as long as the totality of the group's energetic structure has not been completed. "As you can see, the challenges warriors are involved in during their human existence are barely the prelude; the really tremendous stuff comes later. Don't ask what they dedicate themselves to while they remain in that world; it would sound like a fairy tale to you. The important thing is: All their activities are governed by the Rule." I commented that, keeping in mind the goal of the party, the Rule could be interpreted as the prehispanic equivalent of what other cultures called 'divine laws', that is, a group of normative regulations designed for man's salvation. He replied: "It is not the same, because it does not come from a supreme being. The mechanism of the Rule is impersonal, it lacks kindness or compassion. It has no other objective than its own continuity. "Allowing themselves to be seduced by the analogies, the ancient seers made the error of identifying the Rule with their particular interpretations, and wound up worshipping it and erecting temples in its honor. The new seers rejected all that. When they explored stalking, they dusted off the essence of sorcery and rediscovered the goal of total freedom, which does not resemble religious goals in any way. It erased in them the fascination for the human mold, but it had a secondary effect that I have already explained to you: The wild enthusiasm of the old seers was substituted by furtive and suspicious attitudes. "In the end, the effect stalking had on the nagual parties was to betray their initial motives. In time, the goal of total freedom was reduced to rhetoric. Almost all the sorcerers of Don Juan's lineage preferred the flight to the second attention. With the exception of the nagual Julian Osorio, none of them wanted to be deprived of the adventure and ecstasy of visiting the dome of the naguals, constructed of intent, located on one of the stars of the constellation of Orion."
