  1. Hi Taobumers, I' m interested in purchasing some kettlebells. Kettlebells seem so popular in America and I saw that some taobumers use them. Recently these heavy iron balls have become available in my country, too. So a friend of mine borrowed me a DVD and a book about them. P. Tsatsouline claims they are absolutely miraculous but i am pretty disenchanted about fitness wolrd. In the last years fitness market exploded literally:everything seems the best tool to gain the perfect shape! in the menatime i tried the so called "Swing" movement with a dumbell (but it's not the same thing!) My general impression is quite positive. It seems a complete exercise with a discrete range of motion and a good action angle. What's your truly and uncensored opinion about these gripped cannon-balls ? thanks! cheers
  2. first thing :I sincerly thank you all for your feedbacks. Today I have just received the kettlebells. The UPS guy stared the pack in a strange manner. Probably he thought it contained a corpse! Now I can begin this russian madness!!!! eeheheheh . The Damn russians probably told you " Tovarisch! Now you must lift *immediately* these kettlebells. if you wish or not!" Cheers
  3. Guitar Hero!

Instead of videogame I use a Real electric guitar ; Real 100 Watt Amplifier and a real evil metal distortion pedal. My neighbours seem to be not much happy of that. They probably prefer the videogame

  10. It burns...

I am sorry for Fireblood's health condition. His case remembered to me a suggestion that my wing chun master gave me. My master told me that Mco practice could create disagreeable side effects to some persons. In this case he advised to stop immediately the practice. He morever believed that not all people succeed to manage the big amount of generated energy. I could not verify it because during that period I didn't meditate a lot (EXACTLY LIKE NOW!!!!) Bye
  11. Stretching books

    >http://www.cmcrossroads.com/bradapp/docs/rec/stretching/stretching_5.html]Stretching and Flexibility - >How to Stretch[/url] is a huge, free article packed with good info. Brad Appleton's bible! it's a mega-synthesis about stretching theories. >Gigi, are you up to full splits of any kind? If so I am bathing in jealousy. My split training has taken a back >seat because the ligament on the inside of my right knee keeps getting sore and I'm afraid I'm going to hurt >myself. hi sean. Yes, i do splits. It's not safe (for *no reasons*) to overload the ligaments! Ligaments get usually hurted when muscles are trained to exhaustion or overstretched. In fact a popular problem whit frontal split is overloading the inner side ligament of knee. My two cents opinion ! (or if you prefer half cent opinion) P.s: bathing in jealousy = idiomatic expression ? i translated it literally. LOL! As you can notice i am not black belt in english. Cheers Thanks for your suggetsion! I will check it up . I am very interested in books and theories about this matter! Bye
