  1. Basic circles of pakua

What? edit: I looked it up on google and I still don't get what a crass commercialist is.
  2. Kiai Master - Defeated.

Yup, PU is very interesting. Though Pietro, you speak generally... Have you applied the methods? What was your experience with it?
  3. Spirituality and the Occult

Interesting, I don't know anything about Tendai Buddhism, but otherwise I don't think I have ever heard of this division in Buddhism. I will ask in a couple of days if I don't forget.
  4. Kiai Master - Defeated.

Freeform, fascinating. I will try this sometime. RJ has some interesting stuff, watched a couple of his videos. I think the efficiency depends on the location. Also language. In my language it would be almost impossible to use something like "it was such a rush to have a waterfall rushing down right blow me". (I just made this up) Darn, now I'm even more interested lol... But it's ok, I understand.
  5. Future problems

So how did you get over this? Because I think I have the same trait although lately I think I'm able to stay "myself" more. I noticed that I often duplicate a person's personality, way of talking, moving, laughing. Not for a long time, usually just when I'm with someone, and maybe for a short while later. Laughing is the most obvious to me. In general I noticed that in groups after a while all people start to laugh very similarly, but for me it happens much faster and regardless if it's a group or not. It can be uncofomfortable, because for example, when I notice that I started laughing the same way as the other person, I become self-aware and in my head it's like "shit, is he aware of this? crap, how should I laugh?". I have been reading about NLP a bit the past two months and it's a fascinating subject. I was thinking about opening a thread about it, but right now I don't know what specifically I'd like to talk about. Also another question, how do you figure out which type you are? I always thought I was a visual type, but then I did the test in Bandler's User Manual For The Brain (I think), and it came out auditory digital, while visual was the last... Maybe I should to do it again, as on some questions I had a really hard time deciding.
  6. See an insult? Hit Report

    What if someone reports you?
  7. Kiai Master - Defeated.

Yeah, but how do you guys know that you wouldn't react the same way the people in the video did? What is the purpose of Xingyi gazing practice? BTW Buddy, it comes as a shock to me that you're such a sceptic when your own daughter talks to fish. Actually, from reading a bit about him online, he's not really using that much NLP. He's a mentalist. So basically it seems he is using NLP, but in fact it's just a trick. NLP is mostly a cover up. Or so I read.
  8. Kiai Master - Defeated.

Interesting. Maybe he knew how to project emotions (which in general are "contagious"), or just developed such a strong intent. It's not cooperation. I doubt that DB told the guy in private, "hey, just cooperate and pretend to be punched in the stomach", this would be cooperation for me. Or I have I different idea of cooperation in my mind than you. But what is the point if it works only on the willing is a good question... Well, it can be fun. Anyway, here's another interesting video from DB: qEuKgEjwi6A Anyone know how to explain this? Freeform? (edit: finally found how to embed )
  9. Well put post about David Verdessi

Well I think I never heard of it before. But then I'm not a nei kung practicioner. So it's not a physical thing, but an energetic one? What is it's purpose?
  10. Book Selection for March

Alcoholics Anonymous? Pietro, are you trying to tell us something? Do you need help? (edit: I see this is your 666th post. Perhaps it's a sign. ) Book club was a great idea, I wish I could participate. Maybe next year.
  11. Well put post about David Verdessi

    What is a "germinal vesicle"?
  12. Drunken Panda Jiu-Jitsu

Why? We have Lozen to be that instead.
  13. And you know this, how?
  14. KunLun Level 1 - Levitation

    It's the delivery.
  15. Kiai Master - Defeated.

Yeah, this is video is just sad to me, the guy's life is probably ruined, it seemed like he really believed he would be able to do this on anyone. I used to this kind of thing, couple of years back. I moved people without touching and people moved me. Tried a knock out without touching a couple times. Fun stuff. It's what attracted me to Ryu Kyu Kempo, the work with energies. My club is member of DKI, which I imagine Buddy knows haha... Anyway, at the time I thought I was using energy to do all these things. But now I doubt it. It's more likely it was simply a form of hypnosis or something. That said, I still believe this could be done with energy, it just would take a lot of training.
  16. Basic circles of pakua

Oh come on Buddy, when has that ever stopped you so far? Besides, they're not unpopular to everyone, I enjoy your posts for the most part. I'm not at lest the 3rd wanting to know what you meant, so come, why not tell us?
  17. Book Selection for March

Hate to be a party pooper, but... I don't find this surprising... Trunk has connection with Kagyu and Jaloo with Nyingma right? Well Kelsang Gyatso is a leader of a demon worshiping cult (lol sounds kind of dramatic), a demon from the class of Gyalpo (some of the negative provocations this class can cause are nervousness, anxiety and insanity...) who specifically intends to destroy all others not belonging to the Gelugpa lineage, including those of Gelugpa who receive teachings from other schools. Also, from memory, Kelsang Gyatso, made it the protector of his books... So having his books means like inviting the red demon. This is why I think one of Sean Denty's Buddhist teachers, when Sean asked him about this book, said to burn it. "The so-called Drakpa Gyaltsen pretends to be a sublime being, even though he is not, And since this interfering spirit and creature of distorted prayers Is harming everything - both the dharma and sentient beings - Do not support, protect or give him shelter, but grind him to dust." - the 5th Dalai Lama Love or not, it would be nothing more than a play thing. All those practices require transmssion. That said, I heard that the description of the practices is great. Another book describing these, which I think I remember Trunk mentioning before, is The Practice of the Six Yogas of Naropa by Glenn Mullin, although probably not as very detailed. I've been thinking of getting this book for years, but somehow I always get something else when ordering. A good book on tummo is The Bliss of Inner Fire: Heart Practice of the Six Yogas of Naropa by Lama Yeshe, but again, you need transmission to do the practices.
  18. Yeah, that's retention, celibacy means no sexual activity.
  19. David Shen Verdesi Press Release

People should understand that you first have to be able to kick someones ass without any "powers", then you could start thinking about such things. Otherwise if you go straight to that and have no base, if/when it doesn't work you'll be screwed.
  20. Question

Sometimes, but mostly only if it's not separated into paragraphs, like Darrin said. And, if I'm not that much interested in the topic or something.
  21. Anyone can develop abilities, it`s not like you can`t if you don`t belong to a certain religion. But of what use are they? Cool toys that can distract you. Anyway, this is a better video. Of course it could all be indeed a trick. =OWeEXkTk0DY&feature=related crap I forgot how to embed, here`s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWeEXkTk0DY...feature=related
  22. sex - the secret gate to eden

I don`t think that`s true, one can have enlightenment in this life without sexual practice. An besides, what does it matter if you achieve after death, enlightenment is enlightenment. And the truth is, most likely none of us here would be able to practice it.
  23. Benefits of Kunlun Practice

Oh the irony, it`s too much to bear. ROFLMAO. Really guys, you should start looking at your own shit and not just other people`s. WYG, you do go over the top sometimes.
  24. I meant Ali, but not entirely sure about Ueshiba.
