  1. Seven Decreases and Eight Increases:

Thanks. It`s actually in Taomeow`s sig. Interesting forum and explanation Taomeow...
  2. Seven Decreases and Eight Increases:

    Where is this explanation?
  3. Nice. Looks like a very beautiful place. And the girls look nice too.
  4. Top 5

I`m not sure it`s that rare. And actually a lot of Tibetan Buddhists say that in the west Vajrayana is "Lite" compared to Tibet and India, so.... I like Kuan Yin too, but different "version" hehe, Avalokiteshvara, but I haven`t "delved" into him much so far. Very beautiful story, thank you for sharing.
  5. Law of Attraction and Enlightenment

Yes and no... But please, do you care to elaborate what you mean?
  6. Law of Attraction and Enlightenment

Hehe.. Of course. But that isn`t easy to understand. And also, that kind of thinking can lead to erroneous thinking that there is nothing to do... Indeed. Getting what you "want" isn`t neccessarily a good thing. I did some practices because I wanted something... I got it... It was temporary enjoyment, then it brought me more suffering than if I wouldn`t get it. I don`t plan on repeating my mistake. You have to use everything wisely. But what does that mean? I certainly didn`t know then, and I`m still not completely sure. There`s a difference between needing something and wanting something. Wanting could also be divided into something you want for some greater purpose and something more like ego wanting. It`s hard to tell the difference sometimes...
  7. Law of Attraction and Enlightenment

Main goal should always be enlightenment. However, if you have problems in your life, those are obstacles on the path. Using different means, like LOA, to remove those obstacles, is not contradictory. That could be a pretty big if.
  8. The Mystique of Transmission

I once dreamed that I was in a car with Thelerner, he was driving. It was some kind of white car, I don`t remember the dream well anymore. We were talking about something, when Thelerner drove on middle of the road a bit and all of a sudden a truck came also on the middle. Then Thelerner drove completely on the other side, and the truck did the same. We narrowly missed an accident.
  9. New Book Recommendation

I sometimes like incredible claims. But I try to be more practical these days. So did you learn anything useful? Or try it out? Thanks Harry, I will go check it out.
  10. New Book Recommendation

So Harry and Thaddeus, how did you like the book?
  11. Different kind of polarities

I get what you`re saying now, although I`m not sure if there`s no limit on how hot something can be. Anyway, for what purpose are these distinctions made (by Aristotle, or in your opinion)?
  12. Different kind of polarities

But what if I stand on the other side of the window, and I say, oh, I`m not letting warmth in, I`m letting cold out. And I could say, nothing is warm, there are just things that aren`t so cold.
  13. Well, he did say some, not all. And WLP is supposed to be enlightened. Having powers doesn`t neccessarily means you`re enlightened. And it`s not about powers remember? I`m interested in hearing more about these Christian Traditions too.
  14. You can't find enlightenment anywhere else but in yourself. However, this usually wont come by itself. So you need someone to show you a path. Just by doing nothing, that is exactly what you'll get, nothing. No one buys enlightenment, but you can "pay" for being taught. This is how it is. Before students had to endure all kinds of hardships, now there is money for which people have to work.
  15. Tibetan Buddhism

Sorry, but I think this isn`t right. Perhaps there are some similarities, but I doubt very much that Dzogchen is the Tibetan version of Chan.
  16. A little on David and course costs

LOL, indeed... Harry`s reminder on "what you resist persists" was quite right. I wanted to post a few times here, but always changed my mind, since I wasn`t sure of my motivations... So, I`ll just leave a quote. "There is no vice like hatred, and there is no austerity like patience. Therefore, one should earnestly cultivate patience in various ways." Something more to read: Perfection of Patience
  17. Choa Kok Sui dies age 54

Hi Max I agree, it`s unfortunately true... Although I`m not sure what you mean by "mind-oriented conventional BS"? Do those acupuncturists still have success at treating their patients?
  18. Choa Kok Sui dies age 54

Teaches us that everything is impermanent... And when I mentioned karma, I was thinking more from past lives. I mean... You can`t seriously think he`d die because he sued Chia?!? That`s also why I said it might be related to karma. Some things you can only do yourself. I`m not really sure if I know how "healing" REALLY works, but I don`t think it`s about tricking someone into healing. In the book "Quantum touch" it says something like you create the conditions for the other person to heal themselves or enable them to heal themselves, something like that. Max, can you elaborate on what you mean here?
  19. Choa Kok Sui dies age 54

I see... I`m a little surprised, with him being the founder of Pranic Healing and all... Maybe it had something to do with karma and it was just his time.
  20. Shift Happens

Are you sure it shouldn`t be Shit Happens?
  21. Choa Kok Sui dies age 54

Wow.... What was the cause of death? Natural? (I don`t speak German )
  22. silence

Are you sure the question wasn`t "Why are you listening to this man?" and not "Why, are you listening to this man?" ?
  23. Karma

Well, I`m no sanskrit expert, so I can`t really know what is original meaning of the word karma. But many others are, and I don`t think they would agree with you (I guess). To me, what you are saying, sounds more like something non dual, which karma isn`t (and is maybe, but it isn`t). Oh wait, I just remembered something... EDIT (couldn`t make new reply): Ok. So, in Sanskrit there is the word karma, but it can mean two things. First is the usual karma we think of, and then there is the karma of enlightened beings, which you may be referring to. The word for both is the same in Sanskrit, whereas in Tibetan, they have two words (le and trinle).
