Wow, the crocodile hunter died? How?

No worries, I didn`t percieve it as rudeness or anything. I don`t mind you asking, I`m just not sure if I`m able to answer. Hmmm, I wonder how this will come out. I never really thought about it much untill now. It would appear that I am sort of defending Christianity here, which is kind of ironic to me, since I have distanced myself from it. So far I have seen mostly two views on it from other people, some are completely against it and others are completely for it. Both blind IMO. So I usually take the opposite position of the person I`m talking or listening to. So if someone is completely against Christianity, I will be talking about the good things I can find. And if someone is for Christianity and trying to convince me into someting maybe, I`ll go against it in which ever way I can think of. Not sure why I do that. I think it`s maybe because I think that neither side is right. And that no one is speaking out of understanding or any true knowledge or realizations or whatever it might be called. They are just imprisoned into their beliefs, beliefs which were formed and imprinted on them by others, which I think is usually related to their family, but also can be propaganda of some sorts. My interest in Gnostics, hmmm. Well, I can`t say it`s just academic, I usually don`t have just academic interests (if I`m understanding this right), there`s always something more to it. That is, something to learn and put into practice. I came into contact with Gnosticism when I read a book from Z.M. Slavinski, "Practical class of gnostic occultism" (not quite right translation probably). Direct experience sounded far more right to me than blind faith. I think there is something in gnosticism that is worth looking into. But at that time I didn`t really have an academic interest in it, and now I still don`t really have it. It was more "bad luck" than anything that got me into this. You see, we had to choose a title for our papers for sociology, and had a deadline for it. I forgot, so I just wrote four titles that I could think of at class, and I would later choose one. The titles have to get verified before you can write the paper. And, what happened? This was the only title that was verified... Don`t know why. So I was basically stuck with this one. So from that came my "academic" interest. What motivates me in this discussion? Not sure, I guess whatever motivates me in other discussions. Hmmm, but really, I don`t know. Maybe the first part of my reply is the answer... What motivates you? Hmmm, now that I think about it, your questions were more like one maybe? And I separated them? Anyway, I hope this answers them in some way. EDIT: Forgot to say what is my feeling on the Christ thing. I personally really do think he was a teacher. Now, I also think it˙s possible that he did teach the thing`s he`s supposedly taught and be the way you are telling it. Maybe he was like Osho. Half kidding, but I do think he might have had two roles, that of the savior in the christian sense, and that of the savior in the jewish sense. Hmmm, that`s all I have to say for now, as I got a mental block (or maybe just don`t have anything else to say lol).

LMAO Lozen and TripleDot.

Well, I think what you`re saying is quite possible. But, I don`t think it was like that. If it were so, then all gospels, not just the current ones that are in the Bible, would be flat out fabrications about Jesus... And you can say what you want (and I don`t really mean you specifically), but the Bible does contain some very good teachings... Though Paul indeed was the most responsible for the creation of the Church. So, maybe you`re right, it was 2000 years ago, so it`s hard to know the truth, especially beneath the shroud of the Church. Still, I just can`t see it like that. Maybe my Christian conditioning is effecting me, or maybe not... Hmmm, but also, how do you explain that Paul worked with other apostoles, and if I remember right, was killed himself beacuse he was a christian?

Other Pathetic Want To Join Me In Live Chat?

Bump I see 7 other members on, anyone want to chat? -
Yes, but it was not so from the begining. Christianity (orthodox or otherwise) was in a minority at first, and all Christians were persecuted by Rome. In the 4th century however, the majority of Romans were Christians, that`s when I think catholic christian persecution of other forms began for real. See, you˙re missing something. The way I understand what you`re saying is that it˙s Jesus` fault for what Christianity did. It isn`t. Through time his teachings were in my opinion corrupted and lost. The Christians in charge, were IMO not Christians at all. They were deluded, power hungry, selfish idiots... Lol, possible. Perhaps Jesus knew what his "martydom" would accomplish, or will still accomplish something that we can`t foresee. It`s said: "The Lord works in mysterious ways." Lol, I`m not sure I get your point. The whole modern world is built on horrible crimes, not just Christianity... For example, replace Christianity with U.S., and what do you get? The same thing... Somehow I doubt it`s the wiser part that thinks that... Weren`t Cathars in France, not Romania? Hehe, that is true for many, not just fundamentalists. Just replace the words a bit. What are chem-trails? I saw it before on some other topics, but not sure what it means.

When you get to the porn stardom, will you throw a party to which we`ll all be invited? I found two sites about Zi Wei that gave me a little bit of understanding. A lot of it (if I`m getting it right) is actually quite correct for me... This site describes what the meaning of the stars (the names like Tai Yin - Moon Lady, or on the site The Moon). TripleDot you might want to check it out. Introduction to Zi Wei And here is one that describes everything a bit: Zi Wei Dou Shu Unfortunately however, the charts are not quite the same as the one that the program gives us. Like Karma, Career, Travel, they aren`t on our chart. Now, English is not my first language, so maybe someone could tell me if there are synonyms...?

In the past, most of my practice was meditational (microcosmic orbit etc.), with little moving (or standing) qigong. For the last year or so, the practice has reversed. I now do mainly moving and standing qigong and very little meditation (especially compared to the past). But that will change as I intend to restart practicing microcosmic orbit meditations. I`ve kind of been in two extremes, mostly meditations and mostly qigong (although I usually include meditation in the meaning of qigong). So now, I`ll try to find more balance - try to have the sitting, standing and moving practice. And lying (dream) practice in time as well. Since you`re doing vowel chants try experimenting with vowels and their relation to elements (organs). A (ah) - Fire (heart, small intestine) U (ooh) - Water (kidneys, bladder) E (aeh, pronunciation like in the word ever) - Wood (liver, gallblader) I (ee, like in "in") - Metal (lungs, large intestine) EU(euh, don`t know how this vowel is called in English, in Slovene it`s a "half-vowel") - Earth (spleen, stomach) O (like o in over) - Fire (triple warmer, pericardium), but also connected to Earth All vowels done together (and with hand movements) have a very balancing effect, and stimulate the flow of energy. Each individual vowel effects its corresponding organ. I`m not sure what effect they have if you just chant them (like aaaahhhhhh) as I have not done it yet, I think it just stimulates the particular element. However, with specific melodies you can balance, calm, or strengthen (can`t find the right word) the corresponding organ (specifically emotions). The vowel and element (organ) correspondence here is Daoist.

I`m not sure yet if I got the exact time of birth right, will have to check the birth certificate. Here are my results: YEAR: Fire Rabbit MONTH: Water Tiger DAY: Wood Dragon HOUR: Earth Dragon Inner element: Metal Constellation: Serpent Elements: Wood 4, Fire 3, Earth 3, Metal 1, Water 1 Like others, I have no idea what this means. I`m surprised that my inner element is Metal, as I was told that I have weak metal. But then again, it does say just 1 metal. What does inner element even mean? What is the meaning of the constelation? Also what do the squares around the central one mean? Like, in upper right corner of the chart (rabbit) it says: ASSISTANTS Wu Qu (Generalissimo) Qi Sha (Seven Killings) Di Jie (Earhly Loss) The first two are also bolded. What do they mean? Thanks for this Sean, it`s really cool. But I`m afraid you just caused more questions. EDIT: Ok, just found the exact time. I was just 5 minutes off. I put it in, and there are no differences that I can see.

This is from a book called "The psyche in antiquity" by Edward F. Edinger. The stories come from "Recognitions of Clement". Now fast forward into the future : Now I need some rest.

I think it went well, better than I feared definately. I don`t think it was just luck though... I pretty certain I will pass. I won`t get results `till the 22nd of September unfortunately. Will post the two stories in a few moments.

I find it hard to believe that "gnostic" is deragotory term, but I guess it`s possible, since at first the differences between gnostics and christians weren`t so big. Since you mentioned Simon Magus, I read two stories about him, quite interesting. One made me think that maybe Simon realized emptiness. Maybe I will post them later. I have the final exam for sociology (for graduation) in less than 8 hours and I know shit.... The only thing that I`ll study for sure now, is the one thing that is known that will be on the exam. As for the rest, I`m hoping for luck. I would be soooo happy if one topic (out of the 3 I don`t know) would be religion, the only thing I know that I almost don`t have to study for. Unfortunately I had lots of luck already during this kind of exams (this year and last year), so I`m afraid it`ll run out... If I fail my family`s going to kill me. Well not really, it`ll be worse, I`ll probably have to listen to some lectures...

Yes, I think you are right... How could the unenlightened enlighten someone else? I think I misread the exercise the first time... When I saw pressing the hui yin I immeadiatly thought of preventing ejaculation with it, the dangers of which are described on Keith`s awesome site: Alchemical Taoism: Dangers of the Million Dollar Point I still think though that too much pressure shouldn`t be used as it is a bit of a sensitive area.
-
Funny, I thought of the same thing when I saw the title. As for the exercise I can`t really comment, since I have too little experience in this area. However, it seems a bit "agressive" to me, the three finger press is not encouraged, especially if you do it on a regular basis.

Pluto is no longer a planet... Now we have only 8 planets.

I see. No one comented on what happens if you eat it?

Thanks for the lines, much better (at least to me). Sean, just wondering, why did you decide to change the looks?

Macro cosmic Orbit, the Grand Heaven Revolution
Pero replied to GrandTrinity's topic in General Discussion
So you don`t use the coneption/governing channel here? I think you are still following the usual directions though. I don`t think of meridians as just some imaginary lines. -
Macro cosmic Orbit, the Grand Heaven Revolution
Pero replied to GrandTrinity's topic in General Discussion
I never thought of doing the macrocosmic orbit different than this: Down the outside of the legs (yang meridians), up the inside of the legs (yin meridians), up the governor channel, to the point between shoulder blades, down the inside of the arms (yin meridians) and back up the oustide of the arms (yang meridians) to the point between the shoulder blades (or neck pint, ta tui maybe? forgot the names), up to bai hui, and down the conception vessel. The reason is, I`m not sure how good it is to do it in other directions, considering it would go against the usual flow of energy, except for the conception and governing vessel. Though when I was learning a version of Yi Jin Jing quite some time ago over the net (and came only to exercise 11, out of 49...), reverse direction in the ordinary meridians was also used. One thing I did like was the 5th exercise from Michael`s Open Chi Flow in Orbit called "Palm and Body Spiral in Expanding Orbits". Though it`s not really macrocosmic orbit, I never though of doing the orbit like that, starting from the "mini" orbit, and the going bigger and bigger, through all the points. I think it`s my favorite exercise from the video. Could you describe this? I can`t picture it. -
Not to be a critic or anything, but could you add the "lines" in between topics that were there before (I think)? I think it`s easier to view that way. Also, while I like white, this a bit too white for me... Otherwise nice work.
-
DanC, what were you experiences with this book? It looks interesting and I`m thinking of getting it in the future.
-
Also interesting from one of the links Harry gave: What exactly does this mean? Do you have dead sperm in yourself after that time, if you do retention? If so, I think that ejaculating at least once every 2,5 months would be a good idea.
-
Hm, interesting. So, how useful would it be to eat it?
-
Wow, you were here? How long have you been here? I`ve been in Bohinj last month. Well, more like passing by, I went with my friends for a hike (not sure if the right word, around 10 hours walk) up to Sedmera Jezera (Seven Lakes), where we slept for one night, then went back down. Not sure what the weather was like there at this time, but did you swim in the lake in Bohinj? You see, I don`t know what I`m allergic to. So, I can`t really do stuff like that. Anyways, I have an update for my allergy. It may not have been an allergy at all. Something like this happened to me once before, something somewhere in the eye area (eyelid, or some gland there) gets clogged up or something, not sure, supposedly similar to acne. It`s gone now, and I`m not sure if the pill had the effect or healing sounds... Will see if it returns tommorow morning.

I have no knowledge of herbs but wanted to add something about jing. I usually feel when ejaculating that I lost energy. However with practice of qigong and retention for a while that changes. Sean said that when he`s "full with jing" his meditations are much richer etc., for me that`s not quite so, at least not now. From recent experience I have found that when qigong builds up my energy and if I use retention (doesn`t have to be very long right now, a week or so, reduces with practice I guess), I become full as well. The difference however is, that I can`t get myself to practice qigong anymore because of this fullness. So when I`ve "blown the load" next, I felt very little energy leaving me, felt like I could do it again almost at once, and was able to get myself to practice qigong easily again. More than loss, it feels like a relief. A safety valve maybe? So I`m not sure how good retention is all by itself... I do think though, that microcosmic orbit and sexual practice, which I plan on starting shortly, should rectify this.
