  1. How would you stop Terrorism

I would give every man a woman, like the one Plato posted in the other topic, so their mind wouldn`t be on terrorism but somewhere else. You can look at it as if adding yin to extreme yang. (can`t make a more serious answer, woke up a little while ago) Oops, my mistake. Cameron posted the pics, Plato is the one who likes them.
  2. Talk about NOT learning from the past....
  3. Bump Anyone doing one of the courses? The next course starts in October.
  4. Non-Daoist Alchemy

Could you post the article please? I`d have to register to view it (I know, I˙m lazy, but it`s late already).
  5. 32 signs of a Buddha

Which books are you talking about? Do they describe the methods? I have a book by lama Yeshe on Inner Fire (tummo). If you want to study dzogchen, you have to recieve direct introduction. And for most of other tibetan stuff you supposedly require an initiation or an emporwement.
  6. Christianity and Gnosticism

I bought "Gnosis: The Nature and History of Gnosticism" and "Backgrounds of Early Christianity" on Amazon, with two other books. It was hard to decide, and I would buy more, but I don`t want to spend so much money on something I probably wont have much use in the future. I just hope I`ll get the books on time.
  7. How do you use Sound in your practices?

    You`re not the only one.

Doesn`t vajrayana actually mean something like thunder (diamond) path?
  9. 32 signs of a Buddha

Four noble truths Why are the third and fourth truth crazy?
  10. How do you use Sound in your practices?

Hehe, no problem, it happens to me sometimes, and I`m not old. I checked up on John Stevens, and I think his Secrets of Aikido book could be very interesting. We did kiatsu as well, but not as much as I would want it. I think there`s a book about it by Koichi Tohei. I`m not sure if they are stressful, but I can see that Chia would appear to be doing it so. When I listen to him guiding some practice, I feel like he`s going to miss the train or something. Too hasty, it˙s quite annoying to me. I`m interested in Shamanic orbit chikung as well. I`ll be glad to read about it, if your teacher allows it. Sounds can really be hard to learn by reading, since it`s hard to write the pronounciation. Have you tried using different versions of this mantra? One other version I saw is om mani padme hum. If you tried, what difference did you see?
  11. I got an A

Congrats. For what did you get it?

    What is this movie about?
  13. Hello

Hi everyone I don`t know what to say really, so I`ll post pretty much the same thing I posted on the HT forum. Untill about a year ago I practiced quite a bit and had good succes. I have been practicing the inner smile, six healing sounds, microcosmic orbit with the additions from the Awaken Healing Light of The Tao book, and began to do some iron shirt qigong. I also practiced Ba duan jin and experimented with a few other stuff. Unfortunately I stopped everything, probably due to going too fast and too much partying in December. Currently I`m practicing a qigong called the 8 Foundations, which are basically stretching exercises with the use of sounds, kiai-jistu healing method, 8 Trigram standing and Spring forest qigong. I also plan to experiment with other things (again). I would like to add taoist practices (again lol). Next to Taoism, I am also interested in Dzogchen. Regards, Peter
  14. Hello

Hehe, you don`t know how much that made me laugh. BTW, it was on the news that there are around 700 bears in Slovenia now, which is a big increase from the usual 400-500. 700 bears is a lot for a small country like this.
  15. How do you use Sound in your practices?

In kiai jitsu system that I practice, sounds are used for fighting, but also for healing. It has 10 levels, so far I learned up to the 6th level. The system is divided so, that the first three levels are more related to the physical, the second to emotional, and the last are mental. There are also movement exercises, standing practice and massage (coupled with sounds) in the system The system was composed by master Song Park. Here`s his site: Kiai jitsu The same sounds are used for healing and fighting (added to the pressure points). For healing they are used similar to six healing sounds, maybe more advanced. Actually, there is a part that the sounds used are the same as in six healing sounds. I do think however that with the 6 healing sounds you might connect easier to the organ. The healing part is made of unblocking (movements and tapping), massage, purging (similar to 6 healing sounds, for release of negative energy), dredging (emotions), restoration, channeling and integration. There is also vowel singing, using different vowels, depending on which element you want to work on, and different melodies (calming, joyful, balancing). At least this is to the 6th level, there may be more later, but I don`t know yet. Hopefully, I`ll learn 7th level in October (and also get certified maybe). For fighting sounds are used to increase the effect of strikes (usually to PP), also for blocking strikes, dispersing intent... The way you mention you use in aikido, to use kiai before the attack, is used at the emotional level here, if I remember right, to set up the opponent (you create a delay in reaction). It might shock him, but also opens (weakens) his energy channel, so you can follow up with your own attack. Unfortunately I never practiced misogi breathing while training in ki aikido. Just talked about it and read about it in a book. The words used for chanting however were different, to ho ka mi e mi ta me (tohokami emitame). Do you know any good books or websites on misogi breathing and kotodama? Kabbalistic sounds are very interesting, and I think powerful too, I just tried it a few times though. Forgot all about them, thanks for reminding me. Now I just have to get that book they were in back. Craig, did you read Chia`s book Tan tien chi kung? He uses the hun sound for inhaling to the tan tien, and the hum sound for exhaling. They are reffered to as dragon and tiger breath. Some also use the hun sound for stealing energy from others.
  16. Hello

Hi I will, but I`ll reply on Sunday at the earliest, because I`m going to visit my grandparents now. BTW, I used to practice Ki Aikido as well.
  17. 32 signs of a Buddha

I thought that everyone is a buddha? I think that judging from these 32 signs, there are no buddhas on Earth right now...

I also think that the electric discharge is genuine and the fire very very questionable, but everything is possible. Those that read the books from Kosta Danaos, how did you like them? Did you find anything useful in them? Any practical exercises?
  19. Hello

Hmm, interesting article. Not sure about the country supporting the U.S. foreign policy though, I know I don`t and a lot of others either. Also, I think accepting Euro so early is a mistake, Italy could be an example, pices are already rising here too. Novo mesto, huh, it`s nice lol. Don`t really know what to tell you. The town was founded over 600 years ago. It has around 25 000 people. It has two of the biggest companies in Slovenia, one pharmaceutical (where I might work after I finish college ) and the other is making cars for Renault. Anyways, here are two links, if you`re interested: - Novo mesto - from STO - Novo mesto homepage Here`s a picture: As for spiritual retreats, I have no idea. I think that in Dolenjska the place for retreats might be the Kočevje forest, if you`re not afraid of the bears lol. I like forests, except for the bugs and mosqitos, which unfortunately like me a lot. BTW, interesting what you say about the energy of eastern countries. When a qigong master was here, he said that he liked the energy of the country a lot, he said it has a rising energy.
  20. Hosting server hacked

I found it a bit ironic that I was reading the topic Israel in the off topic forum, and when I came back a while later the site was hacked by "arabs". My first thought was that someone read Lozens posts and decided to hack the site because of them.
  21. Hello

Wow, someone who knows Slovenia? lol I`m from Novo mesto, which is in the SE part (Dolenjska). Have you ever been to Slovenia? Never heard of Zizek before, but after I checked him out, I know why. Not really interested in politics. Does he talk about spirituality much? Thanks for the welcome.
  22. Not sure what you mean exactly, I wasn`t taught by him (if you meant that). Could you be more specific with you question? (Sorry, but I usually suck at describing what I think about something.) I think Pranic healing is very good. Though I think that a lot of it can be learnt from a book, the energies are definately stronger and flowing better during a seminar, like someone mentioned before. Like during one part of the seminar (I think it was after a meditation, but not sure) I felt tingling all over my body, especially on my head and I got very restless, I just couldn`t be still. The teacher told me to go out a bit and take a walk. At first I said no, that I don`t need to, but then I changed my mind. When I went out everything looked incredibly beatiful and it was like everything was shining. She told that`s what happens after a lot of energy moves through you or something like that. I think pranic healing is worth checking out if you`re interested in energetic/spiritual practices. Though probably better to check out a book first to see if you like it or nor, because the seminars are expensive (at least for me). Though compared to those offered at his site, the one I went to was cheap. I think it might depend on the teacher too.
  23. I didn`t know Chia copied from Choa Kok Sui, but when reading Cosmic healing I thought some things were similar to pranic healing. Also, I though that the exercises would be a nice addition to it (I did the beginner level for pranic healing). It is written in Cosmic healing book that Chia used the info from Adv. Pranic healing book and some others, but I guess he shouldn`t have just copied the exact same things out of it, as is evident in the comparison file on Choa Kok Suis site.
