  1. David Shen Verdesi Press Release

Why is that now Matt? Because I hold an opposing view?
  2. David Shen Verdesi Press Release

David's invitation if I recall, was for someone to go over, and then be exposed to Jiang's "full power". He wants them to sign a waiver in case their internal organs implode or they die, and then pay full price to meet the master. Again man, even if this was real, that tells me a lot about the nature of his practice. I sincerely hope you find whatever it is you are looking for Sean. I hope I am wrong about Jiang.
  3. Gung Fu Tea

I thought Gung Fu brewing involved LOTS of tea leaves brewed quick. It's supposed to give you a lot of infusions, but I am usually drinking tea for one and too cheap to sacrifice a bunch in one shot :-P.
  4. David Shen Verdesi Press Release

That actually answers the question I was going to ask. That means he had the caps removed before. What's next, changing Coke into Pepsi? In the "pyrokinesis" video, my main point of contention was why Jiang had to manhandle the shirts before igniting them. Also doesn't Jiang live a rather luxurious lifestyle for a daoist monk? The commericialism is the biggest red flag of all. Common now Sean.
  5. Secrets of Female Formless Awareness

Hi Drew, Sorry, as I said I am just concerned. I addressed you in third person as I was replying to others' comments, but you are right I should have addressed you personally with my concerns. I wasn't implying that you studied philosophy academically, I was just talking about myself but worded it a bit ambiguously. Glad to hear Chunyi Lin still checks in on you, and this post seemed much more lucid FWIW. I will not bring the issue up anymore. Ironically, I have Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality sitting on my night table. I need to read it again from the beginning as when I first began most of the concepts were totally foreign to me. Kind regards!
  6. Secrets of Female Formless Awareness

Believe me I am not trying to "judge" anybody, and I do see flashes of genius. I am just concerned. As I said Drew may be operating at a level of consciousness much higher than mine, but I have read works by other folks who are also high level and by way of comparison they are much more coherant. For what it's worth, I also majored in western philosophy at university, so I am used to reading some "heavy" thinking. I just think it wouldn't be such a bad idea to check in with Chunyi Lin since that is who he studied under, and make sure everything is going okay. Unsupervised meditation is not even really recommended on the low level stuff. It sounds like Drew is doing some olympic marathon meditation.
  7. Secrets of Female Formless Awareness

Hmmm... maybe, it's just me but I find most of Drew's posts virtually impenetrable (and I make a noble effort to read them all). His writing style is like a chaotic stream of consciousness. Yes there is the occasional flash of genius in his writing, but genius is sometimes not far from madness. Drew, in my humble opinion you should really check in with Chunyi Lin and make sure everything is okay. Again, maybe you are operating on a whole other level of consciousness, but your writings really are reminiscent of stuff I have read by someone who was classified as schizophrenic. P.S. I believe mythopoetic is a synonym for pompous.
  8. Dan Tien Challenge

Cool. What type of meditation? Are the drills hard or soft? hmmm... not sure how I feel about that, but 2 sides to every story I guess. You guys not too popular with the shaolin folks I understand.
  9. Spiraling Martial Energy

That sounds like a cool exercise. I believe I have seen similar movements with a tai chi Ball form on youtube before. This exercise may be very beneficial to me. My taichi instructor informed me on thursday that one of my shoulders is still quite closed up. I actually have one shoulder that is visibly higher when I look in the mirror. The higher shoulder seems to be the one with the tension in it. I am thinking this may help open it up. Thanks!
  10. Dan Tien Challenge

Way cool man. Someone on the comments quoted that he has "cottonbelly" skill. Never heard of it before. Just googled it and there's a comment by Wong Kiew Kit in regards to some question about Bak Mei (aka Pai Mei the dude who betrayed Shaolin according to legend): "Cotton belly skill", which was one of Bak Mei's many specialties, was a Shaolin art, but it was not popularly known. "Cotton Art" is even "softer" than Taijiquan. My Wuzu Kungfu master, Sifu Chee Kim Thong, knew "Coton Art", but I did not have the opportunity to learn it from him. Will have to read up more on this. Thanks Spectrum. P.S. At the end of the clip it almost looked like an informercial for "dantien enlargement". Think I will post a comment saying "It's not the size of the dantien that matters, it's how you use it". Ah who am I kidding, I would love to have a great big dantien I could bounce things into the air with
  11. Thunder Breathing, Fire Breathing, Rainbow Breathing

I have 2 DVD's: Kong Jing and Sacred Hand Forms: Mantras and Meanings. The first half of the Kong Jing video describe his Tibetan Experience which I posted at length about a few weeks back on one of the kunlun threads. The second hour looks like a pretty basic standing meditation. Max walks around and seems to emit some chi to the practicioners. Guessing he is clearing blockages or something. Sacred Hand Forms: Mantras and Meanings is Max giving a lecture to some students. It's kind of all over the place, but some interesting tidbits of information. The video quality is not the greatest, but it doesn't matter much since it's mostly theory. If you're into Max and Kunlun I guess it's worth it, but they aren't really instructional videos in the classical sense. More like something some practioners videotaped to use as a study guide for material they already had a basic understanding of.
  12. Thunder Breathing, Fire Breathing, Rainbow Breathing

I don't think it's in the book, but that Phillip Toledo guy who is selling the unapproved DVD's has a Thunder Breathing DVD of Max. In one of the DVD's I bought he also discusses central channel breathing which he said is more powerful than the thunder breathing. In short it's visualizing/feeling yourself breathing in through the top of the head. He claims that this will eventually cause the crown and even the skull to open up.
  13. Spiraling Martial Energy

Hi Spectrum, I haven't being practicing tai chi for very long, so your eye is probably much keaner than mine. From my perspective, tai chi also utilizes spiralling, but it is much more 'hidden'. I will have to take another look at the clip. There's so much going on there. BTW could you describe this "holding the teacups"? Just curious.
  14. the elixir in a bottle?

What is your take Agharta? Does the stuff really work? How do you know what you are getting? I can remember reading an article by David Hudson about 10 years ago when I was university about his mono-atomic elements, but never got much into it. The stuff seems to have really taken off.
  15. Reptilians?!

    Yeah that was damn strange!
  16. Spiraling Martial Energy

That video is awesome Pietro. B.K.F. is the real McCoy. It's like the attacker is getting sucked into a tornado, his energy totally absorbed and thrown back at him from all angles. Bruce is a bigtime Bagua practioner, and Bagua is all about circularity and spiralling energy.
  17. the elixir in a bottle?

That may have some value but that is not the philosopher's stone. The key to the philosopher's stone and a lot of other mysteries is the red and white fly agaric mushroom: amanita muscaria. It is also probably where the watered down ritual of "eating the body of christ" comes from. In fact that key unlocks a lot of doors. I highly recommend Clark Heinrich's book Magic Mushrooms in Religion and Alchemy It will blow you away.
  18. Hello Ed, Depending on the injury, Tai chi can work wonders. Along that line, you could target the elbows specifically using some of the tai chi qigongs like Wave Hands Like Clouds or Silk Reeling. The key is not to overdo it. Don't extend to the maximum, but maybe 75%. It's like stretching a cold elastic. If you try to stretch it to the limit too quickly the elastic will snap. But if you start slowly, you warm up the rubber and it can expand further. These techniques are not miracle cures. They will take patience and effort, but they are very effective.
  19. History of KunLun?

Spectrum, LHBF was Master Moy Lin-Shin's primary art. When I asked why he focused on tai chi and not Lok Hup Ba Fa (same as Liu He Ba Fa), I was told he believed one needed a couple of years tai chi to open up the body and prepare it for Lok Hup Ba Fa. He also taught LHBF in 2 parts, and I am told he would give people the first part of the set and tell them to work on it for a few years. Apparently the second half of the set contains much more manipulation of the body's energy channels.
  20. Dr Glenn Morris on entering the void

Hi Wun Yuen Gong, I have only been doing the practice for a month and I am not even sure I am doing it correctly, but I will try to answer your questions from my perspective: I try to empty my mind. Sometimes I briefly don't even feel my legs pumping then mindfullness returns. I still haven't experienced anything I would call "bliss". Hmmm... is this a question or a statement? I don't know and I don't know. P.S. I have Clear Light of Bliss: The Practice of Mahamudra in Vajrayana Buddhism on order from amazon. Perhaps some of these questions are answered by Kelsang Gyatso. I will keep you posted.
  21. still wandering the catacombs

Hundun, You will be missed, but I understand your reasons! Please pop in every now again. Hopefully I will meet you in February. *bows*
  22. Kunlun Martial Arts Demonstration

Throughout the form starting at 30 seconds and especially at 50 seconds. I am not familiar with those little forward thrusting movements.
  23. Kunlun Martial Arts Demonstration

What do make of those quick gliding foot movements? Is he using Fajin?
