  1. New Interview With Kostas Danaos

Your welcome brother Kostas really seems down to earth. Did you notice he denied knowing Sean Denty? BTW, you can download the mp3 here: http://webbotforum.com/mp3media/TMRN-2011-07-30-Danaos-64kbps.mp3
  2. Tribal people live effortlessly so much closer to the Way. Why do these arrogant christians feel the need to shove their beliefs down everyone else's throat? It's kind of neat to see this guy get the tsbles turned on him.
  3. Charisma & Women

In film I think they call it "screen pressence". Uma Thurman's got it! Of couse her father is a scholar of Tibetan Buddhism, hence her name
  4. Christian missionary converted by tribe

Thanks for sharing that Templetao. Why did these experiences convince you convert to christianity specifically? Almost all religions deal with spirits and demons. They are just different paths up the same mountain.
  5. Christian missionary converted by tribe

Sure it is. I am not trying to force my fear based belief system on others.
  6. Heartmind

Usually "intuition" gets associated with the solar plexus (gut feeling). The third eye is more alligned with visions, clairvoyance and seeing the energetic body etc... I have had experiences where I was able to intuit something by feeling the impressions in my body. It was when I was playing around with remote viewing, but what I downloaded had nothing to do with viewing. More like sensingor feeling. You can see how sticky it gets trying to define these things.

  8. 4 year old blackbelts

I studied Judo for 7 years from the time I was 7 to 14 (3 days per week). My instructor was old school from Holland. He said that I had put the time in and knew the techniques well enough, but felt I was too young for my brown belt. I remember being a bit disappointed and quit shortly after, but I respect his ideals so much more now. The last I heard, some clubs were giving out belts for beating belts: i.e. beat a brown, get your brown. It cheapens the meaning of belts for those that actually put in the blood, swet and tears. At this point, I feel that colored belts are just meaningless ego tricks. I am turned off by any system that even uses them now. A 4 year old blackbelt is disgraceful.
  9. Heartmind

From a physiological perspective, modern science has proven that both the heart and solar plexus have neurons similar to the brain. There are even many accounts of heart transplant recipients assuming traits that were later proven to be those of the donor i.e. non-artistic people becoming artists etc... I read quite a bit about it when my father had a valve replaced, and found it fascinating. "Most people DO NOT think that it is the heart which is the major source of thinking. There are over 40,000 neurons in the heart and unlike neurons in the brain, the 40,000 neurons communicate with each other simultaneously. It is the heart that initiate signals to the brain which reach the amygdala and thalamus. Only then the two-way communications occur between both. Since the heart also does the thinking, the heart also is the source of Knowledge. In fact, the heart is the source of a better knowledge which is called the Spiritual Knowledge. The foundation of this Spiritual Knowledge is given once we are born. This is why, it is human nature to worship God or Gods. Should the 40,000 neurons in the heart communicate well with each other, the heart generates a special kind of thinking called Intuition. This is why sometimes a man may have the sense of things might happen before they happen and before witnessed by the brain." http://subjected2subjectivity.blogspot.com/2007/06/thinking-heart.html
  10. New John Chang Video Surfaces

Will the mods please do something about this criminal? It's obviously the same person using multiple accounts. Matt, have you contacted interpol since this guy is committing international fraud?
  11. Falun Dafa thread - open discussion...

Hi Gauss, Is Gong cultivation in Falun Dafa synonomous with Shen cultivation. I thought gong simply meant "work".
  12. mental obsession

Tell your friend that every time he has a thought about sex, to pause and ask himself where the thought is coming from. Why is he thinking about it? It will develop an awareness. That awareness is the first step to mastering it. It's a simple but very powerful practice. How old is he? Guessing 20ish?
  13. TTC 49: the sage has borderline personality disorder?

Don't mentally over-process it. The pie is already baked, so do you keep putting it back in the oven? not sure which translation this is from but: chaper 48 Learning builds daily accumulation, but the practice of Tao builds daily simplification. Simplify and simplify, until all contamination from relative, contridictory thinking is eliminated. Then one does nothing, yet nothing is left undone. One who wins the world does so by not meddling with it. One who meddles with the world loses it.
  14. Taoist Tai Chi Society?

It's pointless brother. Their cups are all full.
  15. Taoist Tai Chi Society?

Sure if you would have given me a few minutes dude. What forms are you guys practicing that cultivates your egos so mightily?
  16. Taoist Tai Chi Society?

There is no lack of poor form in that picture. Stances too narrow, hips not squarred, bent rear knees etc... But since we can judge a book by its cover, this guy must be retarded: Listen up. The fact is 90% of TTC members are not serious martial artists. They practice maybe once a week, and half of them are more interested in socializing. They are probably doing the best they can based on their messed up bodies. edit... So why would they have a picture of people doing "sloppy" form on the main website you ask? Just for arrogant people to pick apart? They certainly could have posted the national instructors doing the form, and it would look a whole lot prettier. The real reason is because one of master Moy's stated goals is to make tai chi available to all. He was doing it out of compassion. If you are unhealthy and you see someone dropping to the floor in a deep snake, it would scare the hell out of you. If you see an average person just having fun doing the best he can you are more apt to try it. How many fights have you guys been in where you had to rely on your martial skills? I've had 2 about 20 years ago, both of which I could easily have walked away from if I wasn't so damn proud. Health and spiritual cultivation are far more useful. Lastly, the TTCS is not for profit charity. Its goal is to help people.
  17. Taoist Tai Chi Society?

Yup, and your arrogance speaks oodles about yoir practice too.
  18. Taoist Tai Chi Society?

To be fair, there are things about the TTCS I certainly disagree with. You are discouraged from looking for info outside the society, concepts can get watered down for mass consumption etc... The society also operates under the old school confucian way of doing things, that can feel really alien to many westerners. At the end of the day though, a lot really depends on the quality of the instructor and your personal initiative. This much I can tell you, Master Moy was the real deal. He could do many of the "super-human" things everyone here goes batshit over. Unfortunately, there was no one anywhere near his level to take the reigns after he passed. No less an authority on taoism than Eva Wong was being trained as his disciple, but they had a falling out. Master Moy eventually decided not to pass on completely his knowledge to any one person, And that for me is the most frustrating part. It can feel like you are trying to put a jigsaw puzzle together with no picture, and you are unsure of how many pieces are missing.
  19. Taoist Tai Chi Society?

Absolute bullshit! The form is based on Yang style but modified quite a bit so he called it Taoist Tai Chi. I know people that have healed back and knee issues with the form first hand. Do you have any experience with the form Immortal4life? Or are you just regurgitating heresay and vitriolic skreed?
  20. Taoist Tai Chi Society?

I have been a member for five years. The form is more of a moving qigong, than a martial art which drives some purists crazy. The knowledge of instructors can vary a lot too. If you have specific questions pm me. Brgds!
  21. Sorry if I came off as boorish. I was trying to give you a light whack with the chan stick. You handled it well. From what I have seen Wang Liping yes, Jiang no. Liping had one of his students denounce Verdesi on this forum. Similarly so did one of John Chang's if I am not mistaken. Quite honestly, though I think you would just be a face in the crowd with Liping. You would be much better off to spend your time and money studying with some of the great teachers from this forum: Buddhism - Sifu Lin Aiwei in Brooklynn Taoism - Michael Lomax aka Ya Mu Power Practces - Santiago and the KAP people Shamanism - Michael Deny aka Five Element Tao Systemless - Hundun Martial Arts - too numerous These are just the ones that come to mind, but there are a ton of great teachers here. What are you looking for? Healing? Power? Enlightenment? Ask yourself why, dig deep and be honest with yourself. Lots of people start out looking for power. You may find that will change as you grow spiritually. Kind Regards!
  22. Here we go again! Since your post demonstrates that you are still stuck in the realm of ego, Verdesi is your man. His masters will demonstrate some neat parlor tricks, and if you practice really hard and vampirize enough life force from other beings... who knows! You may cultivate your way to becoming the demon your ego lusts after. Then you can spend the next few incarnations sorting out the mess you have created. Tell me this please: how did you determine that Verdesi's system is "the best to acheive the maximum human potential"(sounds like you got that right out of his sales pitch). What is your criteria? How does his system meet it? P.S. Dr. Verdesi? What is his doctorate in? Bullshitology?
