  1. I have a very similar issue in the left side of my body and shoulder, but my problem came from physical trauma rather than emotional. One thing most will agree on is that taichi will make you much more conscious of your body. I hadn't even realized it, but for years after my injury I had been favoring my right side. The muscles and nerves in my left shoulder had begun to atrophy and degenerate, so that side of my body carried a lot of tension. On more than one occasion when energy would move up my back it would get "stuck" near the bottom of my bad shoulder for days (not fun). My teacher said taichi will loosen up the shoulder, but it would take a long time to fix since it took a long time to get that way. I sought out treatment from an accupuncturist. A few hours after the first session it felt as if daggers were flying out the front of my chest (which was odd since he only pierced the back). He has helped me a lot, but there's still much I have to do on my own. Lots of stretching, and tying to be more conscious of my left side in daily activities. Anyhow, to make a long story short, it might not hurt to seek out a skilled accupuncturist. He might be able to "pinpoint" the problem. Brgds!
  2. This is been a real stumbling block in my marriage. Neither my wife, nor I have any desire for more children. She is pushing me really hard to get this procedure done, but I have serious reservations. Primarily I believe that this could energetically upset/damage the body. Furthermore, my marriage hasn't exactly been the most stable planet in the galaxy. What should I do? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
  3. The912Project.com - power to the people

Yep. Beck is a media whore and little more than a wolf in sheep's clothing in my opinion. We've been fed nothing but lies and state sponsored propaganda for far too long. and more people are waking up to that fact and tuning out. So the media masters are now disseminating half truths through agents like Glenn Beck to capture the public's passions. It's little more than a confidence game to divide and conquer the real patriot/truth movement.
  4. Corrupt a Wish.

Everyone on Taobums sinks into materialistic depravity with their new found wealth. They all fall off the spiritual path, and taobums no longer exists. Way to go money grubbers. I wish all sentient beings achieved buddhahood and ended their suffering.
  5. How China will own you and your house

Folks, the US dollar is on the cusp of hyperinflation. This means the purchasing power of your dollar is going to be badly eroded. Gold is telegraphing this. You can't just print 10 trillion dollars out of thin air without creating inflation and devaluing the existing money supply. The truth is that the US dollar had already been inflated to hell, but because the rest of the world was willing to accept dollars, the excess liquidity was soaked up. If China stops supporting it, this will decimate the dollar. The Chinese economists are anything but stupid. You can bet you ass they are getting something in return for keeping the US financial system afloat. If you think I am crazy please read what I posted mid sept. It turned out to pretty accurate. P.S. I am also hearing the price of farm fertilizer has skyrocketed, and that at current market prices farmers will lose money by planting crops this year. This could lead to potential food shortages. Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst my brothers and sisters.
  6. any fasters here?

I did a 48 hr tea/water fast last month. My results were similar to yours. The first 24 hrs I had no hunger and felt great. But after about 36 hrs, I became very lethargic and had flu-like symptoms. Possibly my body was releasing toxins stored in fat cells. As far as benefits, it is said that as the physical body weakens, the spiritual body becomes stronger. Brgds!
  7. Struggling over vasectomy... need advice.

Have you had it done Vajrasattva? If not, would you any qualms about it?
  8. Struggling over vasectomy... need advice.

Some great points here. My main issue with it is not the pain, or the procedure itself, but that it is unnatural and messes with one of the body's main energy centers. You are right that for a long time the relationship issues sucked a lot out of me motionally and mentally. This will sound weird to some I know but it was almost like something within her was feeding off the emotional energy that was being stirred up. Eventually I just decided I would not give in to these outbursts anymore, and then we went from fighting, to nothing. It's easy to say do not have sex. We have gone months at a time without it, but it only drives the wedge deeper. I am not really comfortable with the counseling thing. Brgds and thx for the advice!
  9. Struggling over vasectomy... need advice.

Okay thanks guys, some great advice here, but you guys are still about 50-50 pro/con. For the record I am 33, have 2 kids which I love greatly, but neither my wife nor I have any desire for more children. We have been together for about 15 years, and the relationship issues are really convoluted. Suffice it to say we are polar opposites, and that I believe she has some sort of imbalance wihich causes her to have wild mood swings. After years of being on the receiving end of this, it has really worn my spirit down and created a lot of pent up apathy and resentment in me. She is taking medication now which seems to be helping her a lot, and I am trying to let go of my emotional baggage. My main concerns are that some cultivators I respect greatly have cautioned against it, and also it seems unnatural and contrary to the tao to me instinctually. I can use meditation and energy circulation to suppress the sexual urges to a degree, but then that takes away one of the few bonding experiences we have. She does not want to be on birth control pills due to their adverse effects, and the condom thing is not working out so well. I have tried refraining from ejaculation, but when she climaxes it is like an energy vaccum that somehow forces me to. I explained my beliefs about the body's energtic structures etc... She understands my beliefs rationally, but feels like I am choosing that over our marriage. From her perspective, she sees it as a minor procedure for me to go through, versus a major invasive surgery, and I can understand her point here as well. So that's it in a nutshell. Xeno, I will PM you. Perhaps you can offer some advice or tips on retention. I am not sure if the dispute can wait 10 years for me to master though. And what happens if you slip up? That's a big risk.
  10. Passing the hat around for Gossamer

Gossamer, I work in the IT industry, and Lostmonk is right. What you are claiming about the computer hacking is extremely far-fetched to put it kindly. My hunch is that whatever may be plaguing you has got you so ensnared in anger, misery and self-pity that it appears to be clouding your perception. I would recommend the money be put towards Mak exorcising any demons that may be surrounding you. Maybe someone has sent an "entity" or negative energy your way, or maybe something has attached itself to you. I don't really know, but you should start by getting your own house clean before you point out the mess in your neighbor's yard. Brgds and I will pray to the Buddhas that they help you. P.S. Sutra recitation would help you, but don't do it with hatred or malice in your heart. P.P.S As for your PC issues, install Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox, then download and run the following: Windows Defender
  11. Great post Dan and I am in complete agreement. The Earth has gone through many cycles of warming and cooling in the past, and that may explain the current situation better than carbon emissions. In fact, data shows that the other planets in our solar system are also experience warming and climate change, yet there are no cars and trucks releasing carbons into their environments. So what's the agenda? The agenda is that the U.N. and the globalists are hyping this fallacy in order to shove a global carbon tax down our throat. 31,000 scientists reject 'global warming' agenda brgds!
  12. What exactly do you learn in KAP?

Wow that's pretty much a complete jedi knight training course, however how much of this can you actually practice regularly? Realistically I would think mastering just one or two of those practices would probably take years. Is the goal to absorb it all, or to offer you a cultivation salad bar that you can pick and choose what you like from? I am also guessing this is a fire path, but it is structured to open you up in a methodic way? Brgds!

  14. A Question For The Ladies

First thing's first... stay away from the cultivation kryptonite brother! If you choose to ignore that advice... then here's a couple of personal observations: whenever I wanted a girlfriend, I could never find one. Whenever I stopped looking or caring it was like 2 or 3 would all of a sudden materialize. Don't ask me why, that's just the way it works. Lastly, if you do find a woman who is yearning for ascension, look for one on a Yin path. Brgds!
  15. Ascended Masters

The vast majority of these experiences are probably products of your own mind (then again what isn't?). Of the "external" stimuli, most are probably low level entities trying to distract and feed off you. In rare cases, perhaps it could be some ascended benevolent spirit trying to help you. I would say ignore any such occurence unless you are at a level to discern what's what. If it really is an ascended master I am quite sure he will understand. WWSD - What would Sakyamuni do?
  16. Seven cervical (neck) vertebrae

Look in the book club area. A bunch of us read it and posted on it. I think the book is well worth having, but keep in mind she is giving you the macrocosmic view of taoism, not a curriculum or system. Some chapters I found more appealing than others like the chapter on internal alchemy, but this may be a matter of taste. Brgds!
  17. Heavy Water May Be The Elixir Of Life

Isn't this the same type of BS they spewed about fluoride? This Shchepinov is probably bankrolled by some eugenics group or an evil corporation that produces heavy water as waste.
  18. Eva Wong Qigong training

She started out as a disciple of Master Moy Lin-Shin the creator of taoist tai chi. I don't know the complete story and do not want to gossip. Suffice it to say they had a falling out and parted ways. She then appears to have hooked up with other lineages, but that's all I know. She's obviously a very talented translator, and has done us all a great service in translating these texts. If you can study with her I would not pass it up. P.S. I have a very old video of her doing taoist tai chi :-P
  19. National Pride

If nothing else, Obama has really inspired and given a lot of people hope. I think many great things can come out of this alone. Unfortunately he is inheriting a total fiasco on every front. Amen to Ron Paul. He raised record campaign contributions without accepting lobbyist bribes. When he spoke at the debates the audience would burst into cheers and applause, yet the Republicans chose an out of touch lame duck like McCain. Of course, the powers that be would never allow soneone who hasn't sold their sold into office: This is the first time I've seen Obama at a loss for words: gEnuhSScLgc Sounds like "more of the same". Compare this to Ron Paul: NV_AML16tC8
  20. What is the Most Common Problem...

Yes it's a heavy burden indeed, and I am finding it hard lately not be moved by the ignorance and suffering I see all around me. If I ignore it I feel like I am being irresponsible, or not being compassionate. On the other side of the coin, if I try to address it, I feel like my efforts are in vain. Your reponse above brought to mind one of the quotes you posted about BEING the change you want to see in the world. This might sound totally off the wall, but it made me think of Alex Jones. Pretty amazing what a fearless Texan with a camcorder has achieved. Namo Amitabha!
  21. What is the Most Common Problem...

How does one "wake up" those around him/her? Should one even attempt to do so? People's minds seem so closed. I don't pretend to be fully "awakened" myself, but I feel like I can perceive a level of "reality" that others can not. Maybe I am just delusional haha! Namo Amitabha!
  22. Rosicrucian

I disagree. There are few, if any true "secrets" left. I've got tons of books on Freemasonry including Morals and Dogma (many are sympathetic like Born in Blood). Do I need to physically don the regalia, get hoodwinked and hit on the head to understand the symbolism? I agree about the fundamentalists taking things out of context which is why I avoid their objections based on a christian perspective. Let me clarify, I have nothing against Freemasonry per say. My problem is that I believe it was indeed hijacked by illuminists for nefarious purposes. In response to your second point, since Freemasonry was just being used as a tool by the Illuminists, when better tools become available they throw away the old ones. I think the quote is from someone who is affraid of science's abuse for evil/selfish ends. The same technology that creates nuclear power can be used to create weapons of mass destruction. Likewise, the internet can be used for nefarious purposes such as datamining, and governmentspying on the populace You can find many masonic sources for Duke Ferdinand of Brunswick and the 1782 Congress of Wilhelmsbad. Here's one from Mackey's Encyclopedia of Freemasonry which mentions that Baron von Knigge was present at the congress representing the Illuminatti by the way. I don't mention Pike much because I am not objecting to Freemasonry from a Judeo-Christian perspective. In fact I am not so sure I even disagree with THE Pike quote that fundamentalist and masonic apologists toss around so often. Again, I have a copy of Morals and Dogma, but only read maybe 1/4. It is a massive book and would require time than I have been able to commit. If I said Grand Exhalted Worshipful Elect Poobah of the Illuminatti would that make you feel better? It's a general term. The same way Sam Palmisano could be announced as the head of IBM when his technical title would be Chief Executive Officer. You can google the technical Illuminati grades and titles if you are so inclined. I am not sure what your point is. On the contrary, there is much evidence to suggest that the Illuminatti went underground, and many of its members were "absorbed" into Freemasonry. Other than that. I agree with most of what you say about the current state of Freemasonry. For the record have you read Proofs of a Conspiracy? Brgds!
  23. Rosicrucian

  24. Rosicrucian

I think most of what passes for Rosicrucianism such as A.M.O.R.C. is little more than new age dribble. The real Rosicrucians are supposedly populated with high levels Freemasons, and are alleged to be closely linked with the Royal Society (modern chemistry grew out of alchemy). Arthur Edward Waite of Golden Dawn fame (who was a "real" rosicrucian) wrote a voluminous tome on the subject that might answer some of your questions... if you can make it past the introduction without falling asleep that is . Another lead would be to snoop around Adam Mclean's site. I think he is connected with some "real" rosicrucians, and some post on his discussion forums. P.S. A word of caution. Be careful getting sucked into these "secret" societies. There is good cause to believe that the orders have been hijacked, and that their original lofty aims have been supplanted with more nefarious ones. Brgds
  25. Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson and Taoist Magic.

What we now consider christianity was originally centered around a gonstic cult that literally ate " the body of christ"... the mushroom. Get Clark Heinrich's book. I guaranty it will blow you away. Worth every penny.
