And those laws are completely evil and designed to silent dissenting opinions. Don't get me wrong, it was a totally ignorant nasty thing to say, but a crime? What the hell is this world coming to. Quick call the Thought Police! Gimme a break. Now you are starting to sound like a Nazi. I am not so much defending Procurator's comments as taking issue with yours.

Compensation doesn't always have to be monetary. I am sure Lin sifu could use some help painting, renovating etc.... This would certainly generate good karma, and could even help your condition in and of itself. Brgds!

Cultivation seems to change you in many subtle ways. I started craving healthier foods. I pretty much cut out liquor altogether, as I have no desire for it anymore. In fact, I find it very difficult to even be in the pressence of drunken people. The nightlife crowd just seem like so many hungry ghosts (misguided, deluded, and catering to their lower nature). This obviously effects my social life, and some relationships with friends etc... I could go on, but you get the idea. BTW, I am also 33.

It's wonderful to see someone who is so giving harvesting the fruits of their karma. Next time I make it to NY, I am definitely booking a session at the Sweet Dew clinic for my shoulder. Congratulations again Lin! P.S. For the next commercial, maybe Matt can hook you up with aussie Energizer guy .

Yeah it's hard to believe they changed spokes model from that dude to a pink bunny: qiFQsxGUQOI There must have been tons of kids hiding their batteries... just waiting for that rowdy aussie to kick their toys over and shout OI at them! I know I am veering totally off topic, but a little humor is good is good for the karma too. Brgds Mate!

Beautiful stuff. Thanks for sharing Matt! And I used to think all you Aussies were like this guy.... sFmK9tD-Ckg Definitely wouldn't want to tip that dude's tractor!!!

Where did all this money come from to shore the banks up?
Oolong Rabbit replied to MASTERforge's topic in General Discussion
That was admitedly a bit of an over-simplification. My point is that the money will created out of thin air as debt, the money will be digital and can be "manufactured" instaneously. No need to "run the printing presses" anymore. As for the executive comment haha, you wouldn't say that if you knew me. In general these people tend to think along accepted convential lines, and thrive on their inflated, self-aggrandizing egos. My thinking is a bt too radical. That having been said, I was able to pick the top in tech stocks, and the bottom in gold and predict the US$ reaching parity with the Can $. The people I work with thought my forecasts were crazy 6-7 years ago. Now they think I am so kind of financial wizard. Brgds! -
Should Li Jiong be banned from Tao Bums

Of course not. If you don't like his posts, skip them. It's as simple as that. How exactly is he preying on people? -
Has anyone tried the Mind Light Nei Gung System by Gary Clyman?

Why are people so attracted to egotistical blowhards selling promises of power for vast sums of money? Sifu Lin Aiwei from this forum is also in New York. He won't sell or promise you anything, but he will put you on the right path. Maybe Lin should start advertising his teachings for a thousand bucks an hour and promise enlightenment in 4 years if you practice 8 hrs a day. Then half of this forum would be chomping at the bit to train with him. Seriously, if you want a real teacher that is compassionate and not operating on his ego, look him up. Keep mindful of the old master's wisdom: Those who know do not speak, those who speak, do not know. Good luck in your search brother! -

A banker will log onto his computer, key in a number followed by a bunch of 0's and press enter. -
Very nice Li Jong, but I don't think anyone could learn that properly without a teacher present to correct posture etc... Are your correspondence students having any luck?

Did Max teach you how to fo this? It's interesting, but what are the benefits? Can you inadvertantly harm your subject?

Those "nuts" on youtube are speaking more truth than you will ever hear on the mainstream media. The problem my friend is that all previous collapses have been regionally isolated. What we are about to witness is the collapse of the de facto global currency: the US dollar. The United States produces very little now (how many stickers say made in the USA on products you buy?), and it will not be easy to bounce back. I agree with you about China at least. I sounded the alarm for you guys a couple weeks ago. I don't really have much more to say on the subject. -

I am not affraid for myself, but worry for my children. I have taken some precautions, but perhaps not enough if the SHTF. Again, it may all be in vain, but you can always eat the food, vitamins etc... As an aside I called my bank and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes asked to have my debit limit increased from $500 to $1500. Nope. They can only increase it by a max of $500 every 6 months, and had to approve me. I laughed at him and said really, for my own money! Take what precautions you can brothers. I pray that this all blows over and I look like a total fool. Brgds! -

Rice, cans of beans etc... Stuff that is cheap, high in nutrition, easily storable and has a long shelf life. For water, the berkey water filters. You may never use this stuff but at least you'll sleep a little better. Also Matt Wight had a great suggestion a while back on multivitamins. You can also google disaster preparedness kits as far flashlights and other tools. Namo Amitabha! -
Great book Trunk. That passage blew me away when I first read it.

How can we survive the coming disasters?

Bingo! Nice to see you guys are so ready to surrender unto slavery! The ones that will control this global entity, are the same ones orchestrating the wars and financial collapses! Wake up my friends. -
We will have to agree to disagree on that one Taomeow. I think the analogy of lighting a candle from a candle is a little too simplistic for what takes place during a transmission. My analogy is not perfect either, but I think it paints a better picture. Brgds!

To use the anaolgy of a computer: if you start downloading and installing programs indiscriminantly, you risk running malicious code on your system.

I agree. The more you try to define taoism, the more you limit it. There are countless sects with varying practices. I find it hard to believe that none practice energy transmission. If you were to say that sect x does not officially practice energy transmission, that's one thing.... but to say energetic transmissions has no place in taoism? It seems a bit arrogant to me to make such statements. On another note you better trust your teacher 100% before accepting a transmission. BTW, The sanskrit term for transmission is Shaktipat: Shaktipat Shaktipat or Śaktipāta is a Sanskrit word in the Hindu spiritual tradition that refers to the act of a guru or spiritual teacher conferring a form of spiritual "power" or awakening on a disciple/student. Śakti translates as spiritual energy and "pāta" as descent(to fall down).[1][2] Shaktipat can be intermediated by the spiritually enlightened master either by transmission of sacred word or mantra, a look, a thought or by touch. The touch is usually given to the ajna chakra or third eye of the disciple. Shaktipat can be transmitted in person or at a distance, through an object such as a flower or fruit, or via telephone or letter.[3] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaktipat

I think the bailout is a temporal bandaid. The "official" number for the value of derivative contracts out there is around 60 TRILLION dollars. The actual number is probably more like 20 times that. So 700-800 billion is just a drop in the bucket. The fact of the matter is that there is no such thing as free markets anymore. They should have collapsed long ago, but the Fed and Treasury have been intervening (plunge protection team) to prop the markets up. All this has done is delayed the inevitable and magnified the amplitude of the ultimate collapse. You must understand that the only thing the United States has been exporting is "dollars" which has been used as the de facto global means of exchange. Now China and the rest of the world is no longer going to prop up the dollar, and your government is about to try to hyperinflate it's way out of this mess. This means the buying power of your dollars is about to be reduced drastically . In my humble opinion, there is even a possibility that this disaster has been engineered to usher on the North American Union and the Amero. For what it's worth, this guy has some pretty accurate analysis. AOUXc4nZBsk Also look up the speaches and videos of Ron Paul. -
Some taoists practice and meditate in graveyards to absorb the yin energy. I think in the Dragons of Wudang it shows them practicing taichi in a graveyard. To your questions about detecting and fxing the answer is yes. That is why almost every culture in the world has developed techniques of exorcism. I am not sure it would be advisable unless one was at a level that could handle such stimulus though. Personally, I would call on the buddhas for protection, and steadfastly refuse to give in to fear. In fact, I would try to ignore such a pressence altogether and continue meditate while reciting the Buddha's name. If it continued to to mess with me, only then would I attempt some type of exorcism as a last resort. BTW, I am sure many folks have had encounters while meditating. When I feel "something" around my eardrums will start popping/clicking, and the hair on the back of my neck stands up. I tend to just ignore it andd it usually goes away.
