Balance, re Have you considered seeing someone qualified in myofascial release/trigger point therapy/or reflexology? Especially with something as your describing, the pain could be coming from certain muscle groups being far too tight and just needing releasing (relaxing)... Myofascial release therapy may be a great catalyst to move him further along from where he is now, and thus be a net positive on the path ( provided hes lucky enough to find one of the small percentage of therapists who is actually good). Definitely not saying its bad advice - it may be precisely what is needed right now. But in my experience the releasing (relaxing) is only temporary. Practicing all three wings of Sonnons CST will accomplish the same and take one to much deeper and more lasting results with myofascial tensegrity and also build in pre-hab for the future challenges. All the best

++1 Good post... especially re the Intu-Flow (or zHealth R-Phase) in the AM Also, consider Sonnon's Presara type yoga for PM and post workouts Whatever gentle exercise you end up doing for the ankle - remember to go gently to the pain and not throught the pain and gradually you will be able to go further and further and put more stress on the area again.... hth freeform, is there a best time of year to order the X Factor 'butter'?

Is Jungian psychology accepted as fact?
sasblamthanb replied to Old Man Contradiction's topic in General Discussion
OMC, Answer is NO. Basically neither the 'collective unconsious' nor 'archetypes' are anywhere but in the fringes of 'merican' culture. Also many 'jundian' language terms have significantly different popular meanings and usage in 'merican' language - examples are 'shadow', 'animus'... and btw. Jungian is not a spin off of Freud any more than most of us are spin offs of our favorite teachers or professors. OR any more than most of us are spin offs of any of our teachers who denigrated and discounted our progressions to the point of a huge split. Jung did not think, feel, sense, or intuit 'psychoanalytically'. Nor do aiuthentic, current Jungian practitioners... hth -
Yuen Biao, Looks like a cool book. Don't know about that individual system but re "spine, shoulder, hip circles" Yes! Cirlces for ALL joints everyday (yep including toe circles)! Google Scott Sonnon, CST, intu-flow and presara wings, (and zHealth if you are CNS oriented) ... elite performance unleashed All the best and hth zdo

Qigong and energy work and yoga and stuff shorten your life span
sasblamthanb replied to Teddy's topic in General Discussion
Teddy, Another way to look at it though is - Each of the practioners in your list may have actually extended their lives by the work... or at least improved the health and quality of their most likely limited to begin with lifespans. Many from the 'shallow end of the gene pool' could help themselves immensely by a consistent, matched to the individual body, practice. obx -

btw Spirit Ape, if you are going the legume route for protein don't forget to add 'clean' sesames - balances the essential amino profile... -

You might consider selling your inversion table and using the money to buy inversion boots http://www.inversiontables.com/gravity-boo...ravityboots.cfm (Make your own rack. for bar use pipe suspended from chains and large ropes and handles on each side for mounting and dismounting) Gravity boots open up so many more fitness and 'movement' possibilities (including the "shaking" stuff ... see http://www.brainwavevibration.com/whatIsBW...ToPractice.aspx etc. This is not an endorsement of that method. Rather it is offered to illustrate how much more safely 'compression free' such exercises can be performed when inverted ... and no, chi will not leak out the ears - anymore than it is already leaking out ) Any time of day is ok, but I think it is best to wait for at least 30 minutes after rising in the morning.
