I use Dit Da Jow for bruising and sprains. I like the version manufactured by one of my students as he adds "qigong empowerment" to the formula. I believe he buries it in the ground for a year before he bottles it. www.3twc.com is his website. I also sell it at my medical qigong clinic and it has become popular with the local martial artists.

The best advice I can think of is to tell you to learn to stop the world,i.e., cut off your internal dialog (most everyone is guilty of talking to themselves ALL THE TIME. Everyone's worst enemy is their own mind. When you practice Stillness by stopping the world and allow Movement, then you are living in Tao. This has nothing whatsoever to do with religion, so you can believe anything you want to.

A lot of thoughtful replies. Here are some of my thoughts and observations from having practiced Taoist Medicine and Medical Qigong for over 25 years. I practice the Warrior's Shield as laid out in this book. S.H.I.E.L.D. S. Shielding. No matter what a person wants to believe, sick qi exists. I have seen a whole lot of "energy healers" who either don't believe that it exists or believe that, because they believe it won't hurt them it won't hurt them. Most of these energy healers were sick from sick qi kickback. In other words it simply is, and no matter how much you believe that you will not be affected by it makes no difference to the fact that it exists. For several of those that say "but I do energy healing and it doesn't hurt me" I would suggest that perhaps you simply do not have enough qi and INTENT to displace the sick qi out of the patient's body OR you are young and vibrant and it hasn't caught up to you yet. To those that project qi daily for an hour to each patient, seeing over 8 folks daily, and with 100% result rate and are over 70 years of age in excellent health and KNOW that sick qi does not effect you, can I study with you? H. Ask for help. Prayer is casting of INTENT. Always appropriate. Scientific observation has observed that non-denominational prayer works better that emotional or fanatical prayer. Yes, Higher Level beings of Light do exist. I. INTENT - That through which manifestation occurs utilizing energy. A quantum level event. E. Energy - If you do not practice energy cultivation simply do not attempt to heal others. So many "energy healers" are hurting themselves as well as potentially hurting others by attempting to do energy healing without cultivation. DON"T DO IT! L. Listening leading to Linking. When in a total "qi state" we can know what to do for our patient. Listening starts first and, with MUCH practice, Linking. D. Detachment - Never be attached to the outcome. If you remain attached to the outcome then the patient you worked on will continue to drain your energy. I also believe that no one, not even an experienced qi cultivator should do energy healing unless they feel called to do so. This is serious work that really has no place for someone that simply wishes to dabble in it. At least these thoughts are my understanding today; tomorrow I may change my mind.

It is a matter of vibration and raising our energy body vibration rate. Let me ask you this, If we were living in 1787 and I came and told you about electromagnetic fields, quantum mechanics, or even television, would you have been able to assimilate this information? Let me ask another thing. What makes you think there are no further "secrets" beyond what is being brought to the surface of humanity's consciousness now? Could it be that, as we evolve our energy awareness, more of this "secret" information is able to be assimilated? Perhaps it is not really "secret" information but was there all along.

..because then it wouldn't be the Tao.. So perhaps we talk AROUND it? Hello..

With the practice of internal cultivation the practitioner can, and with much practice will, raise his/her energy body vibrational rate. When we do this we effect others through the process of magnetic induction. This will help, or at least give a small boost, to their energy body. Because this process is so powerful, we MUST hold to the vibration of calmness so that we do not negatively effect others. AS far as facing others ignorance: I know initially this is difficult because it is so easy for us to ask "Why can't "THEY" see?" The truth is "they" can't YET see. One of the ways I teach my students to view others is to apply the great High Level teachings of Wal Mart. Simply go to a Wal Mart (or any other really big store) and walk around. For every person you meet see them as they really are by saying to yourself, "This is Me at another stage of development." When you do this SHIFT your vibrational SEEING by putting your focus halfway between you and the person you are trying to SEE. I believe this will give you an entirely different perspective.

Considering the cost to get a true education in Medical Qigong, is there any wonder why teachers have to charge enough to make a living (full time teachers)? So is this a catch 22 situation where if only teachers started teaching it for free then their students could also teach it for free? But wait, what about travel costs and other costs like missed work while traveling to China? Who exactly pays for that? I think the Taoist middle path teaches us that reasonable fees are OK, whereas exorbitant fees are charged by the greedy. If we are wealthy then would it be OK to teach for free? I'll say yes and no. Consider this: If something is free it does not have as much value to the "purchaser" as a reasonable fee charged for the "product". I have found that the students I have taught for free did not keep up their practice because "How could this be valuable if it was given to me free?". A certain percentage of those charged a reasonable fee continue their practice. So today I will continue to charge a fee. I might change my mind tomorrow. Or not.

You need to practice internal qigong more, then you should get to where you can feel qi all the time. Try to stay calm as much as you can. AS far as the sex question, the technique described in this book represents a unique Taoist method where you will keep feeling the qi strongly after sex. This is a totally different method than what most consider the "Taoist" technique. I do think the method would not have much meaning without a consistent qigong practice.

A Light Warrior's Guide to High Level Energy Healing by Michael Lomax has received positive reviews. Also the DVD Gift of the Tao: Vibratory Acts of Power
