  1. I can only tell you what Stillness-Movement is and does. I do not consider it a "spontaneous movement" practice as it does rely on the "attunement" to these higher level vibrations and on the information based energetics. Comments from others that have practiced other practices that do consist of spontaneous movement are typical of "What is this? I have never before experienced this type of energy." If you were to ask my advice I would say stick with what you are doing unless you wish to heal others or if you had a "pull-resonance" for this system. This resonance sometimes is not initially recognized and sometimes even comes about in Dreamtime or through what our minds would tell us are "bizarre" circumstances. This feels like "coming home" to many people. "It is far better to travel a long ways down a single path than a short ways down many paths." - Ascended Master
  2. Stillness-Movement is a system that utilizes specific high level "heavenly" vibrations and lineage information-based energetics. We move due to these vibrations with the movement inducing a thing akin to a "vacuum" or resonance effect where it pulls in more of these particular energetics. As one practices the system, practices virtue, calmness, and assumes responsibility, then the whole energy body is transmuted or "raised" to these new vibrations. This is when the access to the information kicks in, as needed. IMO it is extremely difficult for a person to really understand energetics until they utilize these vibrations in healing others; it is one thing to just personally cultivate and entirely another to manipulate these energetics on a sub-atomic level. This brings a totally new understanding and development of energetics as well as a totally new & different level of development of compassion. I did find your comment about the Temple of the White Cloud interesting. I had 2 extremely interesting experiences there that still "kick in" whenever I see it mentioned.
  3. It is difficult for many to make these workshops. It was difficult for me to go to China, as well. We all have to prioritize what we want. I know when I was going to university there would have been no way for me to attend something like this and still make the grades as I was working every moment I wasn't studying so as to pay my way through school. As a specialty system, this system will never be like the franchises and will always have fewer numbers. There are a few people authorized to teach the Gift of the Tao movements out there, but no one else can teach the Stillness-Movement, Taoist Medicine, or medical qigong in my school, except at the authorized workshops. I do have a very few senior level instructors that are authorized to work with people after they have attended workshops, but none of those hours count toward the certification program which is strictly regulated to be in accordance with the NQA requirements for medical qigong certification. Anything worthwhile is usually challenging and it depends on what a person wants. If a person wishes to open up a healing clinic, after they have done whatever is required in their state to be legal, there really is nothing out there that compares with the totality of the medical qigong & Taoist Medicine in it's unique efficacy for balancing out both the neuro system and energetic system of the body. But I think it probably will always be for a unique few as most are not willing to put the required time&effort in, even when classes are offered in their area. The Terre Haute workshop has room for one more person (at the time I am posting this) before it closes out. I have another workshop now scheduled for June 23,24,25.
  4. Shamanic Qigong

Hi Steve, Agree that these things go hand in hand. Even though I do not know your friend and haven't seen these particular moves, I think this is probably a very good thing he/she is doing. My Gift of the Tao movement sets are basically shamanic shifting techniques. What I found out is that every time I was going to surprise my neigong teacher with what I had learned from shamanism he would say "Very good." "Now let me show you how we do it." And indeed, the system we practice does have roots in shamanic practices. One of the things the qi projection was used for was that ancient travelers would use the techniques to scare away large animals (the kind that would eat you) when traveling. What I have found is that, on a certain level, there really is no difference and I utilize both. We even have a hand-me-down oral story of tribal shaman (where some of our techniques were handed down from) telling the tribe to go far far away over a strip of land to another country. Interesting was that he told them this pathway would not stay open long. This story goes in hand with the theory of Chinese migrating to the Americas. An anthropologist friend tells me that the Native American/Chinese characteristics are very close and that among (certain?) anthropologists this is accepted as a working knowledge. I personally wouldn't argue against that as some of the qigong and shamanic techniques are quite similar.
  5. There is no problem practicing this system and the healing techniques along with bagua.
  6. Have a feeling Kempomaster is busy so maybe this will tide you over until he can reply. "I must say, I am surprised how a healing approach that seems to be very much focused on projecting and drawing out chi can heal problems of such severe physical nature" Why? This is medical qigong as per hospital use in China. Rich & vivid history of use. And that is drawing out of "sick qi", not just "qi". "Would you distinguish between cases where a physical injury itself causes the pain and cases where a messed up energy is more at the root of the problem, maybe from the injury's trauma preventing one to let go of the problem?" Physical injury IS "messed up energy". What happens is the energy immediately starts stagnation and then stages of becoming what the Chinese call "sick qi". Initially, if an injury were treated within a few minutes of happening, the sick qi would look more grey-ish. After a period of time it becomes darker looking and eventually a black cloud. We see this leaving a clients body. "Some say the psyche is more powerful and closer to the root of illness than chi imbalances, but what if the chi imbalance, when fixed, can also fix the psyche." We work on mental, physical, and spiritual with no distinguishing as we are all made of of all 3. In our system we practice the high level approach, where our goal is to help a person find and fulfill their destiny (the path they themselves have chosen). There are always cases that may not give the same response, as we work within the "will of the Light" (will of God) (will of the Divine) (path of harmonious flow) (etc). "What would you say are the borderlines/limits of your technique?" see above - This is only limitation. Potentially instantaneous and potentially with no limitations of amplitude. Yes, of course with experience and assuming responsibility one gains higher abilities/better control/wisdom of use / etc. When a person graduates from my medical qigong program they have attained all this to a certain extent, with the exception of the "assuming responsibility"; this begins then and indeed a person could be practicing this within this time-frame, but manifests strongly as a person goes out into the world with these techniques, embraces the lineage, and pursues this path of helping others. Chinese medicine: low level - physical mid level - add mental high level - one goal, find and fulfill destiny "Also, how do you get insight into a problem? Do you purely use a perception of energy imbalances in order to realize what the problem is?" We practice what I call "Listening". Listening involves dancing in the Wu Wei. I discuss this in the book A Light Warriors Guide to High Level Energy Healing. If I ever get time & inclination to finish it, my new book is mostly about this Listening process. Very difficult thing to speak about linearly. One can not solve a problem on the level of the problem itself, hence we shift in order to dance in the Wu Wei and rise above the level of the problem itself.
  7. I laugh big time every time I hear a chiropractor in US say chiropractic invented bone manipulation. Can't say how many have actually said that, but quite a few.
  8. Actually, it would be necessary. The reason is that once a person has put time & effort into practicing a real neigong & medical qigong system (as opposed to reading a book and thinking they actually know anything about it), their energy body changes to the point that there is a magnetic induction type of effect that can't be separated. It would need an independent non-practitioner. Actually pain relief is a verifiable by subjective scale "effect" reported daily in medical clinics. The physician does take this into account as a part of the success of a treatment. They utilize the same 1-10 scale as used in the minor study Kempomaster did. I guarantee that people who have pain and go in for any type of procedure that does not include pain relief will not consider the procedure successful. I often wonder why "scientific verifiable studies" are considered more important or help in higher esteem than history of use. To me, history of use is FAR more important than any type of study could be. Look at the number of drugs that were double-blind (IMO doubly blind) "scientifically proven" to be safe and have statistical efficacy and later, through history of use, found to be dangerous and some with no efficacy. Medical qigong has a rich and vivid history of use in China and is beginning to rack up a significant history of use here in the USA and in other countries. I personally have over 35 years clinic history of use with a significantly high result rate and I can absolutely guarantee that the many millions of people with pain syndromes who spend the many billions in the USA alone don't care about anything except the pain relief happening. Yes, we see verifiable results as most of these people are also under the care of a licensed physician.
  9. Kempomaster

"OK Fair enough. I wish they stick with the original term as, θ‡ͺη™ΌεŠŸ, Spontaneous Chi Kung" Except that isn't the original term for this method. Jing Dong Gong differs greatly from what many refer to as "spontaneous qigong". It is truly an advanced neigong system. And no westerner came along and changed the name. And Jing Dong Gong isn't a martial art. If you are interested in actually knowing what it is about there is a good deal of information out there. And here we are derailing snowmonki's thread; I suggest if you have any more comments about the system that you just make another thread. ------------------- Snowmonki, I wholeheartedly agree that Kempomaster deserves the respect you show here. Out of thousands of students only a few understand the difference between embracing the system or not; Kempomaster has done that embracing and is, IMO, entirely deserving of the title of master. He is entirely capable with energetics and is one of only a few who I refer clients to. Personally, you couldn't ask for a better fellow or a nicer person and everything he does reflects this. What many don't know is that every single person who has graduated our medical qigong training of this lineage is of the same caliber. Just the nicest folks you would ever want to meet, and amazing in their abilities with energetics. Yes, a few not-so-nice people have ended up at my workshops, although not usually, and not a single one of them has pursued the training. I have been really blessed to have this caliber of people within the Stillness-Movement system and Kempomaster exemplifies all of it. We all have Master Wang's and Master Hu's examples to look up to.
  10. I am re-posting this from another thread. Great work. Yes, all creatures respond to these amazing forms of therapeutics. It is so much fun working with the horses and dogs and birds and... The Terre Haute workshop is nearly full with only 2 positions available.
  11. I am an intense fan of rebounding as a physical exercise. Here are more thoughts of combining the energetics with the physical. For movement the Gift of the Tao series is an easy to learn but powerful neigong movement system that one can do in less than 20 minutes.
  12. Genuine Schools

MPG, FWIW, I applaud your effort to get your own place. I think it is good that you are assuming responsibility for yourself. In a way, that is it's own cultivation. On that acre you can grown your own food and cut down on expenses. And everyone has to come into their own time with cultivation. After all, this ain't rock n roll, but is serious business. (pun on songs) But I will say that the stress is exactly the reason to consider practicing when you can as you can. It can make a huge difference in how you feel. And, there are genuine teachings hidden in plain sight. Follow your true-heart and don't listen to anyone else is my suggestion.
  13. Estimating Tai Chi

How many Tai Jee teachers does it take to change a lightbulb? 10 One to actually do it and 9 to say, no, THIS is how we do it. Interesting views here. Whether Fa Jin is contact applied or externally applied it can be very real in developed practitioners. I remember when I met Y W Chang. In his mid - 90's and tells me to hit him. He insisted, otherwise he would not teach me his Hsing I. So I tried and ended up flying toward the wall. I got to experience this Fa Jin 1st hand. Master Chang always referred to himself as Chen Pan Ling's senior student and had been practicing since age 6. He taught Chen Pan Ling Tai Jee; most definitely a martial system with other applications as well. There was an article in one of the magazines a few years back (maybe 7-10 years ago), forget which one (possibly Qi). The article documented when these forms went from being done fast to slow and said it was due to the most recognized master of the time getting injured. When he healed enough to start back practicing he had to perform the movements very slow. Since he was the most recognized, all the other teachers started copying him. Chang, on the other hand, said that it was practiced slow to learn it. In application, of course, very fast. I have no idea how accurate that magazine story was. But it was interesting. OP. The only way for you to know if you like it is to try it. If you don't, then you may wish to look at movement qigong as an easier to learn alternative (no martial application).
  14. Sending Chi into something

You hit the nail on the head about the transportation & storage being one of the problems. Most people don't stop & think about the handlers and the handling of food before it gets to them. "Blessing" of food. I guess if one comes from the Judeo-Christian system it would be easy for them to have a particular idea about it's meaning. Also, I grant, different people have different meanings of things formed in their minds when they speak. When I speak of "blessing" I am referring to energetic cleaning from sick qi to purity. This is something that is needed in today's world. Washing something does not remove inner absorbed negative energetics. It is, however, a necessity today. And, what I am referring to is not "Divine Intervention'. I am of the firm belief and have seen much to reinforce that belief, that the old way was to call in the Spirits to do things, like healing. I maintain that now is time for us to realize who we really are and assume responsibility for doing the things we ARE capable of instead of "calling in and asking for Divine Intervention". One of these things that is our inate heritage is manipulation of energetics. Yes, it does require time&effort to learn how. But so does anything worthwhile in life. The manipulation of energetics to "bless" the food does not mean someone would waste inner energy needed for health of life, IF they practice a powerful form of neigong. Yes, if they don't it is possible that they would be giving energy they do not have to spare. Hence I suggested a simple prayer, which would be a casting of intent for that to happen. But if anyone practices qigong that is beyond calisthenics, although unfortunately many systems are only that, then they should, in a relatively short period of time, get to where they can "bless" the food, quite safely. Food I grow myself does not need blessing; it already is.
  15. Have fun in China. Eat one of those steamed rolls filled with veggies for me. I love those things. Forgot the name of them but something pronounced like ball-tsuh. Hopefully we can get together at some point.
  16. Sending Chi into something

HA! I often joke about playing the bass (as in fish). Misspelled long scale meaning double octave. I agree that you shouldn't push development past what you are comfortable with. However, one workshop with me and I think you would be comfortable doing the blessing of food. That is IF you practiced the method to raise the energy body vibration - it doesn't really take all that long. Since you are already sensitive to picking the contaminated vibrations from clothing I think you are further along than you realize. edit: typo
  17. Vegetarianism

Our whole food supply manipulation is a crime against humanity, IMO. Look at how many companies monsanto corp (pharmacia - Pfizer) owns. Shocking, to say the least (anyone want some Green Giant veges - mmm,). Grain - screwed up, genetically modified. Meat - screwed up, raised with same grains, improper handling, never freshly butchered. Vegetables - screwed up, trucked from one side of the country to another probably in a truck that was previously hauling waste and grown with enough chemicals to weigh down a battleship. Milk - screwed up, irradiated, enzymes killed off, growth hormones, kids growing breasts at age 7. Seed supply - screwed up, monsanto has bought up most of the open pollinated supply, or at least as much as they can, a few holdouts but becoming much harder to get. Fruits, screwed up, look at the number of cases of poisoning in last few years. Sorry, I was on a tear.
  18. Sending Chi into something

http://qigongamerica.blogspot.com/2010/03/blessing-our-food-why-dont-more-folks.html I like to do these runs and end up WAY up there on double lang scale bass.
  19. Sending Chi into something

Yes, the qi projection itself is a specialist's field. But Prayer is fine. Of course our biggest problem is finding that fresh food here in the USA. I saw a documentary one time where a farmgirl in NY marked her eggs that were sold through a distributor to grocery stores. Several WEEKS later they showed up in the grocery store. Sickening. I eat eggs laid the day before and find it difficult to eat anything else after that. But really, haven't you been practicing qigong for a bit? My students are able to do this quite quickly. Proficiency within 3 years, mastery within 100,000 (joke).
  20. Use of Unrefined Qi in Healing

"If you ever do energy work on a sick person or someone with a serious problem or cancer... you will understand." Man oh man what a true statement. One can see the sick qi leaving the body. It is actually horrid to see.
  21. Sending Chi into something

I always say that this is one thing we all should do. Yes, if one has raised their energy body vibration, this will work much better than if one has not; much more access to the energetics needed to transmute. Come to my April Terre Haute workshop and I will show you a method for obtaining that. I do teach the method we use for blessing of food. However, that said, I am of the opinion that some is better than none, in this case. You can have an effect if you say a prayer. Not a beseeching of a little old man in the sky thanking him for food, although nothing wrong with giving thanks for food. But a casting of intent that the food be cleaned of negative energetics. I also think that the more one practices this the more effective it is. I also think that it would take a lot of practice to get to the point of neutralizing all chemical and/or bacteria. But cleansing of negative energetics can help. I think I may have a blog post on this is you want to check out my blog, accessible from my android app or from my website home page menus.
  22. Vegetarianism

A good point. I have seen over and over that food combining is one of the keys to eating. I hear from too many people that says meat doesn't digest well. If folks simply didn't combine it with carbs it digests very well, for most people. For most people this is true. This was one of the things tried in the folks I saw and for some it didn't seem to make any difference. Which I think points to some of the other nutrients other than vit B12 which is the common lacking nutrient, or it could be an individual assimilation thing. We are all different. Not a fan of "fortified foods", though. I don't think it would be a substitute for eggs, but I do know of a concentrated nutrient derived from eggs that you could try and even think you may find it helpful. I personally don't find anything wrong with eating farm fresh eggs as we have about 20 chickens running around. Pasture raised, of course. BIG difference in omega 3 versus store bought and always fresh. I don't eat the eggs everyday, though. Send me a PM or preferably an email and I will give you a link. Very true. As grand as science can be it doesn't have everything figured out. Thanks for posting the link. Yes, this is exactly what I have been referring to. Anyone who thinks I presented myself as an authority on vegetarianism has not bothered to actually read my posts or has misinterpreted my posts. I said I happen to have experience with this issue which is not the same thing. Nowhere did I say "I am an authority on vegetarianism." What I do know is that foods are complex and individual people's biochemical makeup including genetics is different, and anyone that makes a blanket statement that ALL people can do this - this is science - simply doesn't understand this. Clinical experience is simply that and no more. But it does give a broad overview and insight into these human complexities that others would never see or think about. I do fully understand that when one hasn't seen these complexities then absolutes of cut & dried become the norm. Life is not cut & dried, by any means. I remember a time long ago when I thought all laminectomies didn't work for people. A stupid view of course. My wife reminded me of something that should have been obvious to me but was not because I had seen hundreds of these failures and had never seen a success; the only people who came to see me were the failures. The fact that my limited life experience didn't include the successes didn't mean they didn't exist.
  23. Good work! This can be a very serious medical condition. The medical qigong is amazing for its ability to harmonize the body's functions. Who Knows. (Is that "The Who" or "Dr Who") Perhaps I will offer another distance class but not sure when. Edit: Anyone interested in the April Terre Haute workshop should go ahead and register. We are limiting the number of students due to space.
  24. Vegetarianism

Re: Psture seth said "1.) Cattle munches grass down to its roots, and leave pastures looking like they have had a Brazilian." I said "Have you never heard of rotational grazing". This of course solves the problem you mention as 1) you said "I have never seen a pasture with any of the vitality and wonder of Natures wild places, which were clear felled for your pasture" I also prefer woods over pasture. But your implication here, as I understand it, is that people having pastures is not a good environmental thing, or at least, not as good as having trees. I agree, to an extent. But do you have a proposed moral what is best for humanity solution? Is it for everyone to plant trees and totally do away with pastures or do you have another? Back to veg club This "Hmm, really? I feel an answer coming on... " is a simple attempt by you to discolor what I really said, which was to the effect that I would not list your posts individual points because that would take too much time and that those points were illogical so why bother. I didn't say "I will not answer your post" then answer, which is what you imply. Just another way you have of twisting what a person really says so as to add one more point of discoloration. You have used this style consistently here. I have said all along "Some people do not do well on vegetarian diets while some do." You say "ALL people can do well on vegetarian diet." Now, before we can have ANY rational discourse, are you, in a deluded thinking manner, going to disagree with the statement: "If just ONE person out of humanity doesn't do well with a vegetarian diet, then NONE can say "ALL people can do well on a vegetarian diet." If your answer is yes, I agree, then you have just disproved your illogical argument. If your answer is "NO" then we have nothing further to say due to your illogical thinking. Also, you say that "studies" can be flawed. Congratulations! Very true. It is also true that I used the word "studies" because these cases were a study for me. But in the technical sense I admit to a mistake here. They are case histories, not studies. A case history is simply that. It is not a subject for debate. It simply is. A person is either having a problem or not. If your answer to this question is "yes" a case history is just that and is not a debatable thing, then we can continue. But if your answer is "no" then you obviously have no understanding of what a case history is and we have no basis for a "debate", as it is not a logically debatable thing. You also seem to think you have all the answers and that if a person isn't doing well that they simply have not tried the "right" approach. I addressed this and told you these particular people tried everything known about eating vegetarian to increase their iron, zinc, b12, calcium, and other nutrients lacking in a vegetarian diet. and you would not respond to this other than saying you THINK they simply haven't tried the "right approach". Here, since you have all this vast clinical experience and you THINK you know, it would be nice of you to list everything YOU would suggest they do. This list may even help SOME of those experiencing difficulties. I will say that b12 shots DID help some but not all of these people and if they were willing to go get regular b12 shots they may or may not have pulled out of their situation. These same people tried every available form of oral b12 supplementation and it didn't work for them. What worked for the majority of people was simply adding meat into their diet. So we are back to the point that do these people NEED to add meat to their diet. I grant you that they could have just continued on their path of ill health and in that sense they didn't NEED to do anything. But if a person has tried all known solutions proposed by all the people, internet sources and any other form of information, and it didn't work for them, and yet adding meat to their diet did, it is illogical to say that they didn't need to add meat to their diet to maintain health, as this was the only solution which worked. Now other vegetarians do just fine with a rich diet but these people didn't. Now what part of this do you not understand? How can this possibly be a debatable thing? They either did well or they did not. One can say all sorts of things that they THINK they know, but one can't debate something that simply is. Your only possible argument to this is that they didn't "do it right" which is something you can't possibly know. Now, if your answer to that statement of you can't possibly know whether they "did it right" or not is "yes", how is it possible that this is debatable? How is it possible to continue this conversation? If your answer is "no", it isn't by any type of logical thinking, which apparently, judging by your responses, you lack in, and we have no reason to talk about this subject. And I presented a FACT that these over 250 people didn't do well on a vegetarian only diet. You discard this for some irrational reason and call it a "theory". I can't help your thinking along, only you can do that. Again, the only possible argument to this would be that they "didn't do it right". And since, by logic and rational thinking, we have already determined that you can't possibly know that. I, however did invite you to list YOUR solutions. Or are you challenging the diagnosis of anemia? Can't help you there as this is one of those things that they either are or are not. And, the thing is, even if the tests were screwed up and the doctor was wrong in all of these over 250 cases, there remains a FACT that these people weren't doing well. This is not a debatable subject, they either were or were not. The variable here was adding meat to the diet, which worked. I don't know why you insist on keeping on about another of your illogical thinking arguments. Your whole argument is centered by your statements about x number of people, who are vegetarians, do just fine. Congratulations! This is a true statement. But, logic dictates that a statement of truth that x number of people do well does not mean that x number of people don't. How is this a debatable thing? It is not. It is only a true statement. There is no debate to it. I did point this out to you and you ignored it and have kept using this statement as your main point. The conclusion here is that there is nothing to debate about. This whole thing boils down to the fact that seth THINKS he knows but simply has not had the real world experience to see that he doesn't and that what he says doesn't apply to every person. And apparently utilizes fallacious and illogical arguments to justify said thinking. Edit: AND, Have a great day! Edit 2: On second thought: I realize you enjoy debating. I don't. I don't post to debate but to share experience. One thing I want to accomplish, when I post, is to help people. A debate really never does that, the only thing it accomplishes is to find out who is a better wordsmith. What is almost NEVER accomplished, is to help with the subject being posted. That is what I want to do. I am not a wordsmith nor do I really have the time to sit there, copy someones long reply and respond to each sentence in the manner you like to do. On this thread, my original post was to add some thought and another view that was designed to counter the me-too view that all is hunky dory fine with a vegetarian diet and to counter what I know as false view that this is tied into being "spiritual". I explained all of the points about this. I just can't see where a debate when one person has already made up their mind and wishes to debate the point while ignoring simple facts has any merit; it helps nobody. So here it is seth, the big moment you have been striving for: Get Ready: you win. Happy? Glad I was able to contribute to your happiness. Knock yourself out on posting whatever you wish.
