Yes, not impossible. In fact, if one "moves with the qi" in harmony and has learned to still the mind, more than not impossible - indeed, very possible & enjoyable.

When the student is ready, the teacher...wait...are you really ready?

Good post. -
If you feel this is what you are supposed to do then it is what you are supposed to do. If this is so, then you will have a natural manner in which it will unfold. All the answers will appear in the moment of the moment. Given this, I suggest instead of a canned approach, you simply teach what you know in a dynamic manner allowing the dynamics to adjust to each individual situation. And by golly have fun! If you make it fun the students will keep up and they will continue. If you are strictly technical and non-dynamic, then the students will tend to drift away. Yes, I think you worry about nothing - just be yourself and all will work out fine.

Discussing medicine with an MD - some confusion
Ya Mu replied to Yasjua's topic in General Discussion
HA HA. You won't get anywhere in this. Not now. But in a few years, once he gets out of med school and faces the real world, and finds out the patients don't respond and the medicines don't work like the books say, THEN you can have this conversation with him and he may listen. For several years I taught a survey course in medical qigong for 4th year medical students at a local medical school. This was at the invite of the head of the department, an extremely experienced and open physician who recognized the value of the type of therapeutics I teach. In a nutshell, the 4th year students have been trained to think they have all the answers, and the majority are arrogantly ignorant of the real world. This changes once they get out in practice as they find the real world is not the same and the books have much less meaning. It is called the "practice" of medicine for a reason.- 27 replies

I would advise caution when taking ANY supplement. Many times we read of descriptions others have written who thought they had a wham bam event attributed to taking the supplement. Just look at the testimonials on network marketing products, some of which have efficacy and others not so much; but the testimonials are of the nature "Man, this stuff cured my extreme ....". In my experience with neutraceuticals and herbal medicine, over the years I have grown quite skeptical - while remaining a staunch supporter of this type of therapeutics. Usually folks who have had a chronic problem WANT something to work so badly. This desire often influences their initial reaction to a product. I have seen this over and over in "fibromyalgia" clients. Usually after anywhere from two days to a couple of months the reaction isn't the same. I write this to demonstrate that any supplement needs to be looked at in a much longer time period. Do your research, take precautions - in the case of the supplement being mentioned, for instance, an interpretation of the literature suggests to not take if a person is on blood thinners or even if person is taking certain anti-inflammatory products extreme caution is prudent. My experience leads me to believe that 3-6 months is usually the time period by which to measure efficacy of any supplement.

Bad energy accumulating around my living space
Ya Mu replied to Yasjua's topic in General Discussion
Just wanted to comment here that this is one of the first threads I have seen in a long time where everyone had really good contributive comments. OP. Get out,do some movements, bless your space using liquid sandalwood & sage, get a haircut & get a real job (JK). -
I wonder if these would help?

"I've been doing semen retention" "Pain in prostate" I do wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard this. Cause-effect. Doing old style birth control is not needed. We have condoms now. edit: And do take CD's advice about your excess. Cause-effect.

Almost missed this. Good! We transmute water when doing our neigong so always drink enough water. If water is in energy field it will be charged. Our "water fu" method works every time. We did a demonstration in this last workshop with a person who had a virus. After drinking the water, in 15 seconds everything started to change. The congestion left, her color returned, her breathing normalized; in short, she returned to balance.

100 days of practice (martial arts/qigong) challenge; prizes involved :D
Ya Mu replied to BaguaKicksAss's topic in Daoist Discussion
From Nov 30th through Dec 8th I practiced more than 90 hours (including over 20 hrs of qi projection). Messing around right now with only a couple of hrs a day - goofing off for holidays, but plan to step it back up. Hope your shoulder gets to feeling better BK; know well how much these things can hurt. -
Depends on what they are "very advanced" in. Very advanced in Twiddlywinks - probably not. But if a person does a practice that raises the vibrational frequency of the energy body, and embraces that practice, of course the change in perception is going to allow them to see further into the spectrum of "all that is". Most who do eventually can see into the "Spirit World". Dimensional shifting allows one to see other vibrational levels and it becomes - not a matter of belief - but an extended perception of reality. see SECAB&DE for reference Worlds await those who are willing to put in the time&effort into such a practice. In our system, it is highly unusual - if one embraces the system - for a person to not do so. Usually in about 3-6 years - NOT decades.

"Without breath, nothing else works." True. One dies if they don't breathe. Not all forms of cultivation are breath oriented. Some forms go direct to energetics.

Symmetrical body twitches when lying to fall asleep.
Ya Mu replied to niveQ's topic in General Discussion
Bee Eye In Geo Have seen so much of this. But who knows about OP...certainly worth investigating. -
Brian has a good answer there. It sounds really simple - to have the awareness on that vibratory state and Dan Tian at the exact moment of sleep - and it is. BUT in practice there can be that millisecond moment of thought just as we fall asleep that can interrupt the process. I think if you just try, every evening, eventually it will happen. Once it does so it is fairly automatic process. Have the hands over Dan Tian and try to completely clear the mind before you fall asleep.

Ours is just a continuation of the Stillness-Movement practice while we sleep.

Many long years ago my wife insisted I sell the waterbed after I refused to turn off the nonexistent water bed heater. Said it was just too hot. Drink plenty of water is key.

Western medicine - what doesn't it know about energy?
Ya Mu replied to SecretGrotto's topic in General Discussion
Yes, people want and deserve actual help instead of the "pain"killers which are nothing more than addictive toxins. I do think they are appropriate for an initial injury - sometimes. But never more than a day or two, unless the person is already dying. This country is full of folks addicted to these toxic substances and it is atrocious. The person needs actual help - not more problems. Unfortunately as the costs of these substances are very high, there is a highly lucrative illegal secondary market. A lot of the smarter doctors are now testing their pain patients to see if they are taking the meds. This secondary market has also led to the latest outbreak of heroin addiction as the newer heroin is cheaper than the secondary market of painkillers; so many people have turned to that and it is spreading. The latest heroin addict - long haired hippy type - nope - more likely the kid next door that started with mom's pain killers. All the more reason for therapies like clinical qigong to be embraced by western medicine. -
Anyone who wishes healing from Trauma must eventually go through a physical and energetic retracing on the neurological and energy body level. The only therapies I have seen that do both are the Chinese Taoist Medicine form I teach and Clinical Qigong. If one can find a practitioner of these methodologies and stick with them for a bit it could go a long ways.

Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong
Ya Mu replied to Ya Mu's topic in Group Studies
Good job! Yes, it IS amazing. Allow your confidence in the Qi projection grow - you are going to be very good at this. I did a session in a hospital a couple of weeks ago and ...to watch a heart patient with 10% heart function and congestive heart failure, severe shortness of breath, too weak to stand - to watch them instantly go from this to almost normal - this will make the hairs stand out on your arms and blink your eyes 16 or 20 times. This particular patient, to the amazement of his doctors, went home the next day. They do still have congestive heart failure and limited heart function, but their quality of life went from barely alive to walking 1/2 mile in a very short period of time. -
Well....Yes and No. I teach beginners from this viewpoint and the majority have no problem going direct. But yes, some of the folks who were taught to use visualization require a few....demonstrations.... to allow their minds to open to direct.

Better to go direct to pure creation which has potential of unlimited than to use visualization, which will always be finite.

Well, heck, I will still show her if she brings her drum. And she will no longer be a newbie after the workshop. Strange, in a way, for the December workshop I have 17 women and 3 men registered. This ratio hasn't happened for a long time. Up until this past week there was only one guy from England registered and I was joking with my wife that he was gonna find himself - uh, lets use the words "overwhelmingly outnumbered". Although I think the balance will change a bit by the time the workshop gets here, perhaps its women's time for energetics.
