Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong
Ya Mu replied to Ya Mu's topic in Group Studies
Very good! Yes, the pain from shingles is very debilitating. These clinical qigong healing techniques based on the Stillness-Movement neigong practice are outstanding in their help to people with these type of problems, many who get no relief from western medicine. It is such a shame that we in the west have not as yet integrated these techniques into the hospitals and western clinics. At some point it will happen. In the meantime we will continue practicing Future's Medicine Today. Anyone wishing to begin learning these amazing healing methods can join us November 12,13,14 in Springfield, Missouri at Dr Shealy's Holos Institutes. -
Hi, The Sacred Vibrations DVD is scheduled to be released when the book by the same name is released. The book is in editing phase. Sorry for the delay, but these things seem to have their own timetable - [Tao 1, preconceived schedule 0] I will release another DVD before the full Gift of the Tao II. It is the core energetics of Gift of the Tao II and can be a stand-alone neigong practice in itself. The contents? Shamanic shifting neigong techniques. No rebounding video's; will consider this. Actually, while no 2 people are alike and their awakening will be different in terms of "time", most students of this system have remarkable results in 3-6 months; some before then. Depends on practice, who you are, and workshop attendance. Thanks for the review. Folks are welcome to Join us November 12,13 for Stillness-Movement & Gift of the Tao Neigong, and optional 14th for Medical/Clinical Qigong & Taoist Medicine at Dr Norm Shealy's famous Holos Institutes of Health near Springfield, Missouri. This class will be full and attendance priority is given to students registered for the 500 hr clinical qigong program. Others are accepted on a first come basis until we reach maximum attendance.

Roger Janhke's "Ten phases of cultivating and mastering Qi"
Ya Mu replied to 寒月 Hanyue's topic in General Discussion
Just want to say that Roger is a heckuva nice guy and very informed practitioner and Teacher. I had the pleasure of jointly presenting Medical Qigong with him and a couple of other people at a NQA conference several years back. His writings are full of good wisdom. -
Don't remember saying that. But sometimes I post really quick and may have put a wrong slant on what I was attempting to convey. I am hoping to soon release a core move from Gift of the Tao II on DVD that is amazing in it's energetics. It utilizes principles of standing combined with other principles. Stillness-Movement itself, like snowmonki says, has its own standing method. Anything martial arts oriented will have different energetics than Stillness-Movement but shouldn't effect the practice itself. I play with Hsing I a bit. Animals can certainly notice the different energy signatures. But I doubt if what you have been doing will effect Stillness-Movement practice as it is a stands on its own as a system.
-
He was doing it that way standing as he had to hold his paralyzed arm/hand up. The way it is done is just like the book says, and alternatively, like I suggested.
-
I don't think the picture shows that but I will take a look. Try grasping hands with thumb interlocking versus putting entire hand over the other; I cannot see how it would effect the shoulder. Then do it like it says instead of how you are used to doing it. Alternatively put hands on knees or on top of thighs if you have a problem doing it correctly.

Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong
Ya Mu replied to Ya Mu's topic in Group Studies
Glad you are feeling better! Another one: Presentation: 15 year old with migraines. Incapacitating migraines. Non-responsive to advanced western medical treatments. Therapy: Medical Qigong & Taoist Medicine Outcome: Didn't know. After a session we never heard back from this person. This week I received a phone call, approximately 15 YEARS LATER; This person said that the migraines left and never returned and that the session changed their life! We are here to make a difference. Sometimes, actually many times, these therapeutics totally change people's life. If you are interested in learning these advanced Chinese Taoist therapeutics, consider attending our Terre Haute, Indiana workshop August 20th and 21st with Clinical Applications August 22nd. -
I did check the used prices on amazon.com of the first edition. Right now there are some that are fairly reasonable as compared to what they were just a short time ago. The eink devises can only come down in price. You may could get a used one very inexpensive. Be careful for compatibility of files, though, if you do go that route.

Ah, the "other" book. It was supposed to be released this summer but I really have had this vision take hold of me of integrating mp3 files and multimedia video, so I am investigating some new software. Dang visions only create more work. If this software doesn't pan out I will attempt to finish it with simple web links and get it out "real soon now" as an e-book. If you know that Gift of Tao was scheduled for release in 1998-99 and was recheduled each year until release in 2006, then you would understand "real soon now" from me means anywhere from next week to 2018. Hopefully it won't take that long, but it is now on pause while I attempt to get out a new DVD.

"Hello Ya Mu. I understand completely what you are saying but the fact is Hu Yaozhen also taught a form of traditional taoist internal cultivation qigong (not medical or martial qigong) to Feng Zhiqiang which Feng Zhiqiang has continued to teach and which does include the practice of directing bad or stagnant qi into the ground. Other respected Taoist lineages such as the dragon gate lineage and some wudang traditions also seem to have similar practices from what I have seen." Yes, this is a simple flushing method common with a lot of practices. I think there is a slight misunderstanding. I am referring to wai qi liao fa not one's own personal practice. Although I will say that IMO Earth cannot sustain the current population. Yes, we have a tree qigong method as well. Trees will react much better if one approaches with respect versus "I am going to take some of your energy". I have let students prove this to themselves over and over. I will say this is fact, not opinion.
-
What oat1239 was referring to was a personal qigong practice not wai qi liao fa. "So maybe he is transmuting and purifying sick Qi with pure radiant light and not dumping it anywhere" That is what it sounds like to me. edit: sp

Yes, natural laws of energetics, natural movement patterns of creativity. Thanks for the explanation.

I haven't tried it but isn't there a mac version as well? Another great piece of free software is "calibre".

"I recall reading that Hu Yaozhen stated that he developed his Stillness and Movement qigong specifically for use for clinical qigong healing, so maybe there is a reason this is done differently when exchanging energy directly with others for healing purposes?" Stillness-Movement is a deep personal cultivation system that utilizes the highest level arts of Buddhism and Taoism. It is ALSO the basis for medical qigong. It works by raising the energy body vibration. When this happens there is a consciousness shift, an opening, a meshing, a "Linking"; this is why I said that when practitioners reached this level of vibration they would know for themselves. Always. All practitioners. Always. All. If a practitioner does not raise to this vibration it is extremely difficult to impossible for these things to become self-evident. If this does not happen a practitioner can understand these things intellectually but not intimately. Yes, IMO and IME Earth IS a living entity and Yes IMO humanity has dumped on Earth enough. It is time for us to assume responsibility for who we really are. And IMO there is no automatic "oh the earth can handle that". Why does anyone here think the Higher Level accomplished practices even have a technique for transmuting it to Light, why bother? IMO, "Oh, let Jesus handle it. He is strong enough as he was designed to handle these energies." is as stupid a statement as thinking Earth can handle it. Or we could just say "It is all roses and ice cream!" which would be another, IMO, stupid statement. Earth IS at a tipping point. I am beginning to think humanity is too damn dumb to change. Far too many seem to want to live in their intellectual prowess, or their bodies and physical prowess instead of embracing the spiritual and mystical aspect of themselves and the universe. You do have it partly right from your reading. But be careful about trying to understand a system through what you have read (because you are indeed partly off), even from what I write, because this system can only be partly approximated or referred to through writings, never of course even coming close to the whole aspect. And parts of it I would never write about on these forums, nor has it been put into any book, as I know that neither Master Hu or Master Wang wrote about certain parts or aspects of the system. But yes, qi projection has different natural laws than simple qigong practice. Medical qigong is a whole other science and art. If anyone wishes to know it they should study it.

I may put out an epub version. For some reason more difficult than mobi version. I had to put it on the back burner. If I do it will prob be through Barnes & Noble. Smashword pissed me off on the one-off prices for publishing - not interested in doing business with them unless they change their model. It appears to me that the android devices are going to win out on this as they have software to read most all formats, pdf, epub, mobi, etc. Even amazon is coming out this fall with an android device. Actually they have 2 planned.

Stillness-Movement August Terre Haute Workshop
Ya Mu replied to surfingbudda's topic in General Discussion
Sorry that didn't work out. I will shoot J another email and hopefully he can give you a ride. He is in Sedona communing with the energetics there right now but will be back later this week, I think. I do not know of any shuttles. I do encourage any other TTBers that are attending to join in here. Makes a lot of sense if someone is renting a car to share expenses with others. -
Are you trying to read on a PC or mac? I too have trouble focusing on LCD's for a long period of time. But eink devises like the current kindle and new nook (not nook color - which I do like) do not have this fatigue factor, to my eyes. I can read them without this focus fatigue; in fact in ways it is to me better than a book, more legible. I am hoping to integrate some multimedia in my next editions and new publishings. I guess the ideal would be a dual eink / hi-res lcd device. The Adam tablet was almost there but it didn't quite pan out.
-
It is a valid point. But my belief is that it does. No one can know until they personally reach those vibratory levels.
-
I believe you are onto something here, Seth. My personal belief is that most of the religions have truth embedded in just as most have distorted truth with desire for control. The Christian mystics, for instance, spoke of some of the same concepts as the Buddhist and Taoist teachings. I do think most of this is ignored in modern Christianity, but certainly not by ALL Christians. Most people are freaked when I tell them a Christian theologian was the editor of my book, as these same people think there is no common ground and what I say is absolutely not "Christian". The editor/theologian didn't think that as he allowed these were some of the same concepts that were realized by the Christian mystics. Another example of universality in teachings is when a Cherokee medicine man showed me an exercise to do after a ceremonial healing. It was identical to a qigong exercise taught by Taoist teachings. I personally believe we all need to come together with the universality and not be bogged down by the process as the process is just a tool. But we should realize tools can be very valuable.
-
You are still making the assumption that the majority do not. The majority that ACTUALLY HAVE reached this level of vibration recognize this and it certainly applies to Buddhist as well as Taoist teachings. The gentleman's views referenced in cowtao's post IS typical of Higher Level Buddhist teachings; it also coincides with the Buddhist teachings I have learned.
-
Thanks for the clarification. It is truly great that you are offering this to family and friends as well as the animals. I think the animals are often neglected when most speak of these practices and these healing techniques work oh so well for the animals. Bless you for doing that.
-
If you look at cowtao's post you will see that transforming sick qi into Light is indeed a High Level Buddhist teaching. It is also a High Level Taoist teaching. AS I said, there are those teachings that don't do this as there are those that do understand this.

Stillness-Movement August Terre Haute Workshop
Ya Mu replied to surfingbudda's topic in General Discussion
It is funny that you posted this about the same time as I emailed you one person's (TTBer) email address that is also flying in. I think it is great for anyone flying in to get together.
