You misunderstand what I am saying. Marblehead quoted the aspect you are not understanding: If one is actually practicing the "Listening" and walking in the Wu Wei then the proper choice is made in each particular circumstance. Has nothing to do with fear.

Thanks for the chuckle this morning. Good one. I lived Mississippi and really got tired of that humidity, but also at one time lived in Florida. Both had too much for me. Could cut it with a knife some days.

Yes, if you wanted to do anything you HAD to tote the party line. There is more info, some stories, on the net. I do not have links handy.

We were not attempting to get across that death is anything to fear but more of a practical Taoist viewpoint. Death is a great friend. In other words if one is offered a choice of walking into a field of bullets where the situation cannot be changed or walking into a hospital and helping someone, the obvious choice is the hospital. Because if the person walked into the field of bullets they would probably end up dead and then wouldn't be able to help the person in the hospital. So not a fear of death but a practical way of flowing. The only time one would walk into a situation dodging bullets is if they were practicing "Listening" and understood from this that they could make a difference. THIS is true walking in the wu wei. If the person is actually practicing "Listening", walking in the Wu Wei, and knows they cannot make a difference in the situation it would, IMO, be entirely stupid. Simple practical Taoist application.

The boat sank and I died, but I am better now. I am sensitive to energy and I could feel the magnetics there. At the time I wasn't far out of getting a degree specializing in electromagnetic fields and wave propagation and looked at the phenomena closely. My thoughts are that it is all due to a fluctuating magnetic flux that possibly creates vortices. Never could figure out the why because if it was simply the Earth's makeup my thoughts were it should have been static. But there is no question, in my mind, that something is going on in that triangle. Oh, and we got one of the engines running, limped in to Bimini, the owner of the boat offered to sell it to me for 7000, I said absolutely not, and I have never been back and won't unless it is in a much larger boat.
-
It is hard to say as I don't have direct memories of this as in other instances. I will tell you that the whole time I was a resident there that I had this sense of timelessness, that time had literally stopped. I looked up one day and was freaked-out amazed that 2 years had passed since I looked up just a couple of hours before. Told myself to get out now or I never would, left the same day, THEN had the story above happen. The energy was so familiar yet... can't really explain.

A couple of other guys and I left Andros Island heading for Bimini in a dual engine 32 ft cruiser. Everything absolutely hunky dory. First one engine mysteriously goes kaput. We limp along and then, right out there in nowhere, the other engine went out. No other boats and radio all of a sudden went out too. And then a huge mysterious all of a sudden storm blows up with 12 - 20 ft waves...the boat going up at 120 degrees to the ocean, then slamming back down... we KNEW we were goners, said our goodbyes and our prayers and...

...well actually there was this girl who's uncle was friends with someone who's great aunt knew this Chinese Guy who, while not actually knowing qigong, knew about qigong and could pronounce the word properly. Join us for Neigong in Terre Haute, Indiana August 20th,21st and 22nd and I will introduce you to the girl, well, not actually the girl but a friend who knows... I put in bold one of your very true statements. You are doing quite well in your practice. EXACTLY! The Teacher in this case is simply a cog in the wheel showing how to do the patterns. It is the energetic patterns and associated energetics themselves that are the important thing. So many times a Teacher's charisma, especially here in the USA, comes across as what many seekers are looking for instead of the system itself. Many times also the more "mysterious" and unreachable the Teacher is the better (definitely if you can't speak directly to him/her but to only one of the students it MUST be a better system, right?). Never understood that. That is why I am a simple country boy who by the strangest set of coincidences had an amazing opportunity to meet an highly accomplished man who asked me to teach others his methods. The Gift of the Tao movements are only another way of doing Stillness-Movement and were contributed to by the wisdom of Teachers Wang Juemin and Y.W.Chang (always called himself Chen Pan Ling's senior student). Master Wang approved the movement system before its release.

Having been a resident of the Bahamas I can certainly say that the energetics of the devils triangle are certainly different and "strange". Seems like I walked on that road...
-
Haven't looked at the your posted video but I have seen other videos of her and it would have to be similar as it is the same system; bear in mind that Stillness-Movement movements have many variations due to energetic interaction with any particular practitioner as well as how well any particular practitioner "syncs" with the specific vibrations and to the extent that any particular practitioner has raised his/her energy body vibration. The energetics are the same but the actual movement can vary.

Since this is about the 4th or 5th time you have said this in your posts directed at me I will address it. For some distorted reason you seem to think that the "12 steps" is true Taoist "inner work" and everything else is not. Don't really know how you came up with that but the truth is that most of the Chinese INTERNAL arts are, as their BASIC and FIRST step, true "inner work". You may try practicing them for a while and see if your perspective doesn't change. Simply reading mis-translations and thinking you know what they mean and combining this with new age whatever also has nothing to do with practicing Taoism. There are several true Taoist "inner work" practices, these are not intellectual based but practical based. Marblehead says it so well here, and I put a part of this in bold: It is amazing to me the many myths that are kept alive through the new age teachings. I agree with you about there is no reason to fear death and have said this countless times on this forum and in my book. My perspective on this comes from actually dying, not something I read. But to think that we shouldn't have awareness in EVERYTHING that we do IS "thinking everything is roses". If what you say is true then why the heck BOTHER coming here to Earth in the first place? May as well not.
-
I hope you don't mind that I put this in BOLD. So many do not understand this simple thing.
-
Yes, it isn't about fear. Fear is one of the baser emotions, just as bad as guilt. It's about common sense, our natural ability to utilize all of our senses in all situations. One good reason to practice neigong as it enhances all the natural senses. But I guess that practicing simple cognizance will do wonders. I don't lock my doors either, as I am aware during sleep and don't really have to where I live. But in some places it makes perfectly good sense to do so, not out of fear, but a practical thing to do.
-
So agree and this is what I was referring to.
-
You are indeed either brave or stupid; I'll go for brave. When I did it I was stupid. Now that I am brave instead of stupid I have no desire to. I had a student who thought everything was roses. He was ready to teach - he tells me. So I asked him to go with me to New Orleans and do a workshop and tell him he has one task only; to shield the class. He never again talked to me after that. Yes, I was wrong to test him in New Orleans. I now give them another few years of practicing before I do that. Tao's reality is that free will has induced some to go the opposite of harmony with Tao. We can pretend everything is roses if we want but that is not the way it is. We can pretend that the Earth is not screaming but that is not the way it is. Reality is difficult and easy at the same time. Difficult if we do not walk in harmony, the flow, and easy(er) if we do. Easier if we pretend, more difficult if we don't. Doesn't mean it does not take time & effort to see these things. But to think that evil does not exist is plain outright not looking at what is in front of anyone. Yes, at some point this duality will cease to exist - humanity is not there yet. Tie it all in - sure. But no use walking around in la la land pretending things are not the way they are. If you are saying that one cannot be truly aware, see the current reality for what it is and still be a good little Taoist then I guess you don't lock your doors at night, don't try to park in a lighted area, don't keep your money in the bank, do leave your wallet/purse in the car, etc. - don't need to pay attention to those things, right? Very brave indeed. It is not about fear, fear is on the same level as guilt and other base emotions, it is about common sense, recognizing one's environment for what makes up that particular environment. The old Taoists (practicing Taoists - not book Taoists) revered nature and the natural way and were very big on recognizing harmony and disharmony in their environment; what we have going on around us is distorted and if one can't feel this then they choose to be closed to it and do not do anything to make themselves more aware. We have to make a change if the Earth and humanity is going to survive. We definitely have a choice. We can pretend all is hunky dory or we can choose to assume responsibility. Everyone has a choice. Some of us do work on the as above so below level and other worlds, some don't know such levels exist, some work toward protecting on this level, some hang out and do nothing and some become distorted. All a choice.
-
But Marblehead, is it not true there is no duality, we should pretend everything is flowers, and we should just hang out in the void and forget this real world if we are to be spiritual? I read this somewhere. HAHAHA So far, no one who thinks there is no duality has been willing for me to drop them off on a certain street corner in Jackson, Miss on a Saturday night. I look at evil as redeemably distorted instead of absolute and ignorance as edifyable. Yes, we should enjoy ourselves here. It is a unique opportunity. If folks really understood how great a privilege it is to be here now...things would be different.

Again, no such thing has appeared anywhere in public by anyone who actually practiced the system. You have seen some comments by people who didn't like what I had to say in the book - that is OK. If writings can stir up someone to say such it usually means it hit home. And you have seen a very few comments by people who didn't understand energetics and VIEWED the DVD, not PRACTICED. And again, the fee to attend my workshops is not for "transmissions" (I don't even like that word), but to cover the cost of me putting the workshop on and for you to learn this amazing system. The awakening energy projection is just a part of it. You should notice that the cost of my workshops is STILL lower than many who do not either know how to do that, who think it is too much work to have to do for the students (it is much more difficult than just showing someone how to do an exercise), or who think it is not needed. What this does is multifaceted and I won't go into that here, except to say that it is unheard of in China for students who only have been practicing for 2 days to, on the 3rd day project qi with a 80% to 100% result rate. Yet this is what happens due to the energetics of the workshop. Without this manipulation of energetics it would take the student MUCH longer to reach this level. Now, after I just posted that the 1000 was NOT required for anyone who wished to attend the workshops for as long as they wished to, you cut a piece from my website to reinforce your erroneous opinion. OK, NOW for YOU, the 1000 is required since you insist; your will be done. Everyone else it is not required. Just kidding. I will attempt to explain one more time. The fee is for certification and has has nothing to do with the workshop fee except reduces it to actually make the program more affordable. A person can wait until they have the hours accumulated by taking the workshops and then pay the fee for certification at the end. Or they could take the workshops, accumulate the skill and knowledge, and not pay the fee. If you had bothered asking me about this instead of putting it up on the public forum this misunderstanding wouldn't have happened. I am always accessible via email or telephone. Taking the total cost here you will still find my program is on the low side for certification as a medical qigong therapist. Better still, you find ALL graduates of my program extremely skilled. As an NQA level IV (highest level available) certified Teacher anyone who received certification from me can apply to the NQA and receive certification from them. WHEN, not IF, laws come about for practice in the USA, this agency stands as the longest running certification standard. For the record, I am totally against any type of laws concerning medical qigong. And yet, I was one of the people on the NQA standards committee that contributed to coming up with the standard. I did this because it was going to happen whether I thought it should happen or not, and I do think the NQA is a great organization. And I believe laws in USA will happen just like they did for massage therapy, which, for the record, I personally think are bullshit - I protested against those too. For me to keep up my certifications requires about $1000 per year. I don't like it, especially since most people would laugh at my total income and this is difficult for me to come up with, but it is what it is. Rest assured that, if it is within possibility, I will not leave any student who has signed up for my program hanging if I do decide at some point to retire. I would at that point stop accepting any NEW students to the program and finish up with anyone who had committed. But having to put up with some of the stuff I have to put up with does make it sound inviting to live in a house located a mile or two behind the house where I tell everyone I live. Students in the US have no idea how easy they have it compared to how this used to be taught. That said, the students who do end up in my program are some of the nicest people anyone would want to meet and demonstrate integrity, Virtue, AND extreme skill; I couldn't ask for any better. And although that house behind that house sounds inviting, and I would like to retire at some point like most people do, I will most likely teach until I die.

Makyea, In my clinic I have successfully seen probably between 200 - 300 women over a 30 year time period with these type of problems. I retired from clinic work this year, but if you truly want some help you can PM me and I may be able to suggest someone near you that can help. I encourage you to stay in contact with your physicians and even speak with them again concerning the why part of their proposed surgery. And get more than one opinion. As far as the pain goes there definitely exist actual therapeutics that can help. Good luck!
-
Your statement "...and I don't even know if I could speak well to it." I entirely disagree with. edit: "... I can look at the person as myself and see that they are looking for the exact same things as me - security, respect, validation, understanding. I can offer my full attention and genuine interest for whatever time we are together." VERY good. So many don't understand this.
-
The truth is that you have never publicly (perhaps in private from "a friend of a friend of a friend" eh?) heard those statements from anyone that actually practiced. And your perception of what I actually said in any response is way off base. You have been "watching" but not "Listening". You seem to have everything wrong here; as far as the costs of my program nowhere does it say one has to pay a $1000 fee up front to start the program. Anyone can study with me as long as they wish without doing so. And you should know my individual seminars are priced at the low range of the average cost of such. If you think you can get something for nothing then have at it. NO school is free. Even the public schools - those of us who pay taxes pay for them. "Been there done that" Then why the heck aren't you out there working as a medical qigong therapist? It is needed by society! Because if you had of "been there and done that" with me you would be qualified AND able.

I guess we could say most things are a self-realization thing. My point is that medically, there are all sorts of probable causes of this lady's problems and for the most part all I have seen here is people trying to tell her she caused the problem herself. It is a possibility. But not ALL problems are created by the person. Some things just are. Genetics plays a large role and has nothing whatsoever to do with some type of psychological analysis. Lifestyle, exposure to toxins, heck, even overexercise can contribute to this type of problem.

Most people report that they have wasted far more dollars on nonsense books than on a workshop where one learns the actual real thing. Heck, most pay as much or more in a year for the privilege of posting on this board and email as the cost of a workshop. I have tried to keep the cost of my workshops reasonable instead of charging the kilodollars that many do.
