This is similar to what I was taught in China. But honestly, I don't understand why folks feel the need for breath practices into any particular organ. Why not practice energetics that utilize and balance the whole body? Why not access the energy directly, as in pull energy into all pores of the body? Why the need for (any organ) breathing?

The Cherokee medicine/origin stories are quite interesting. This may or may not be what you are looking for. There is one particular Cherokee Medicine Woman who is quite into this and I think she probably knows more on this than anyone I have heard of. The problem is it has been some time since I made her acquaintance and I can't remember her name. If you search some of the Cherokee medicine then you may be able to find her. If I remember her name I will follow up.

From what I have seen shaking that is induced by the energy itself will always yield higher energy cultivation results than shaking induced by the person; this is not much different than vigorous dancing, rebounding or any number of other physical exercises, all of which can help the body, but certainly are not optimized for energy cultivation.

It has been pointed out many times by numerous teachers that the MCO will activate on its own with a proper neigong practice. I can't speak for other practices but I know for a fact that Stillness-Movement practitioners absolutely have no need to pay any attention whatsoever to this. It will happen for them in a nice natural uncomplicated, and without complications manner. To me, when natural unforced methods are available why practice forced methods that can be unsafe?

Saw this last night. Focus on the main actor and this movie is fun. Watch anyone else and it is extremely disappointing (to me). Overall I enjoyed it because I like the theme, because of the main character, and because they said "Qi".

Can't disagree with that rating. SO MUCH theme potential that did not manifest due to poor writing, acting, directing, and low budget. I thought the kid did well.

Agree with this. Can be potentially without limitation (bold emphasis mine). Your last sentence is one of the things I am talking about when I say "Depends on who you are." Ah...Nice!. Seers see this in our system. Then they see This: Then this: Then seers see the light from dan tian popping out the top of the head and connecting with heaven, which I assume correlates to this (as these events occur then): And this happens along the way:

Good info. Many of the aspects talked about here are confirmed in my system of practice.

Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong

I do keep records. But a large number of folks come in for just a few sessions and don't need to follow up. Yesterday a person came in for a first-time visit who had attending a brief lecture I did a few years ago. I didn't really remember but this person told me that a pain that had been with them for over 10 years left when I did a 3 min demo at the lecture - and hasn't come back since. I meet folks all the time who I worked on years ago who come up to me and say they never came back to see me because they didn't need to. Others come back for an entirely new and different reason. But sometimes, in the case of some types of chronic pain, we can take away the pain but due to lifestyle, etc it can come back. And some of the immune cases were people who were terminal. I never get cases that "just happened", or at least I usually don't. I get the last resort sort of people who have tried everything they can think of. And still these techniques yield a huge success rate as in long-term stabilization and reversal. But making a difference - this is what it is all about. When someone asks me can I help them I say I don't know but will try my best. -
The Marsh. No birds, no insects, no sounds. It is dead. But the skimmers and tankers are working hard to scoop up all the oil before this happens.

Everyone has been saying whatever they wanted ever since I invented the internet. But cellphones were probably my worst invention - even tops the net abuse. I mean, c'mon, who really needs to talk to someone else on the phone while shopping in Wall Mart. -
Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong

Chinese Taoist Medicine & Taoist Healing Arts Simplified case studies, continued I had posted this in another thread: Simplified Case Study Stroke Patient: Called me the day after stroke while in hospital. Patient was extremely emotional and belligerent, others could not understand speech, paralyzed on one side. Treatment method: Taoist Healing Arts-Clinical Qigong; Wei Qi Liao Fa Results: First session (same day) - Immediately settled down, no remaining belligerence nor intense emotion state, immediate 25% improvement in speech intelligibility. 2nd session next day - 50% improvement in speech intelligibility. 3rd session (3rd day) - patient able to somewhat move leg, speech at 90-95% I just followed this up by making an 8 hr drive this past weekend to work on this patient in the rehab center hospital. What I posted above was with distance wei qi liao fa. Noticed that speech was still about 90%. Unable to move R shoulder, arm, hand, some leg and ft mobility, ankle totally locked. I gave an hour treatment. When I first started projecting, the family member in the room became overheated in the first few moments of the session so I had to back off on the intensity a bit (been easier if they were not there but couldn't be helped). RESULTS: Immediate 100% speech. Immediate freeing and movement of shoulder. Immediate freeing, to a smaller degree, of more leg movement. Patient reported feeling circuits open up all over body and through arm. After 1 week, here is what was reported: ALL of his therapists and doctors have been totally amazed at his progress. His speech therapist dismissed him the Monday after treatment saying he somehow was back to normal(he had just entered the rehab center the Friday before this Monday). Neurologist has been in email contact with me as he was really impressed with recovery rate and wanted to know more about this type of therapy. General consensus is that this patient is 6 months ahead of the curve. Patient still has recovery to do and I will continue with distance sessions once a week. -
I think these practices of ZZ and Gift of the Tao would be highly complementary. Gift of the Tao 2 has been delayed until I heal from a torn tendon. Hopefully by summers end.

During the "cultural revolution" my teacher was jailed for over 17 years and suffered extreme torture because of his advanced practices. His family was moved far away to be used as slave labor in a government farm. But he lived and taught. He said it would not have been possible for him to survive without his qigong practice as they made him go without food or water for long periods of time. I do think quite a bit was lost as many men of knowledge were killed. But others either survived the outrage or hid in remote locations. So there is still quite a bit of the old knowledge amidst us. Lots of nonsense out there as well.

Watched it tonight. I have already seen most of the stuff he has put together and have been on a parallel thought process. But I think everyone should watch this movie. Humanity is is for one rough ride. I guess in the end all will balance out but it would take some act of Divinity or higher minded benevolent aliens to bail us out at this stage. If not, most of us will not be "here".

Wrote above before reading this. Please reread, calm down, and you will see I didn't insult you at all. Sometimes when someone actually knows something about a particular subject they are often looked at with prejudice. There has never been that type of energy projected by me. You may want to ask yourself why me knowing about something brings this type of response to you.

Here is a definition for you. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/facetious Rain, Please understand what someone is saying before you go off on an ill-deserved rant. I have no quarrel with you. If you re-read what you wrote I think you would see why I thought you may be jesting. I have noticed a certain animosity from you before and really can't understand it. edit: added definition

I watched the mainstream "news" last night and watched the current BP-in-charge guy being interviewed. The questions asked of him were so ridiculous and in-bed that I just turned it right off, after saying a few choice colorful words. Un-freakin-believable.

I will watch it this weekend.

Honestly can't tell if you are really asking or being facetious. Please excuse my inability to discern what you wrote and I mean no disrespect in saying this. If you are being facetious then HA HA I will laugh too. On the premise that you are really asking then here is what I can tell you of what I know. There are several here posting opinions on this; I am referring to medical qigong method. It works really well; is not limited to any one thing; the more complicated a situation the more difficult it is for ONE water "tonic" to do everything; appears to work optimally for one thing but can address several things; water alone appears to not hold as long as within a liquid herbal mixture - how long this is depends on way too many factors to say; continues to work long after client/patient has drunk the "tonic"; have seen a Dit Da Jow that one of my students makes (adding this medical qigong method to it when bottling) still "hold" after 2 years / his Jow appears to work better than others but impossible to put any empirical evidence to this and I haven't tried all Jow's; I have really NEVER seen this method fail to have a noticeable positive effect; I do not sell this as a separate thing but use it as just another tool in healing at clinic and in workshops; there is a lot we don't know about this as currently these things can't be measured. We do "water fu" in medical qigong. One of my favorites is treatment of someone with deep congestion of a cold. I take liquid echinacea and put it in spring water and charge it up with specific vibrations, then watch the person drink it. Within seconds - BAM!!! Pretty freakin amazing.

I tried that and it works! Can you make a DVD on that awesome technique?
