  1. If you have read any of my posts you will see that the word "cure" is not in my vocabulary. Healing is done on the Spiritual level and "curing" on the physical. GMP gave a good example of the difference in the two. GT gives good examples that point to the fact that no two cases are ever the same. And this despite the fact that western medicine tends to lump into disease categories. I ran a pain clinic for a very long time; pain elimination is what I specialized in. And I offered guaranteed pain relief or no fee. Not "pain management". During this clinical time period we saw people with pain who were diagnosed with many different problems. Various eye problems were one of the things that did pop up often. People often came back and said that as a side effect of the pain therapy that many different problems did clear up. You have to realize that everyone is different. Having the same western diagnosis does not mean any two people have the exact same thing going on in their bodies nor that they will respond exactly the same with either Western or Eastern medicine. If anyone I knew had contacted Ebola they would get the best care western medicine had to offer AND clinical qigong. As far as I know - exactly none is the amount of experience we have with ebola. We HAVE seen various virus situations stop in their tracts. Look at my many posts on Taoist therapeutic techniques; here is a thread for more info: http://thetaobums.com/topic/7783-chinese-taoist-medicine-stillness-movement-medical-qigong/page-29 This thread contains many simplified case history reports I do hope this is honest curiosity on your part; I do welcome honest curiosity, for sure.
  2. Several systems have a sleeping & dreaming form.
  3. Amen. Heck yes. Absolutely. Spot-on.
  4. Stillness-Movement Clinical Qigong & Chinese Taoist Medicine. Two complementary methodologies where the Taoist therapeutics could also be called Neuro-Energetic Chi Kung Bodywork (descriptive). The Clinical Qigong is mostly off-body wai qi liao fa.
  5. Lower Dantien Heat and Pain, Please Help!

OP - Don't mess around with something that could potentially be a serious condition. This is good advice. After visiting the physician, if he/she feels it is OK, you may find relief from visiting a Clinical Qigong therapist. Check out www.nqa.org for a teacher near you; they should be able to refer you to a therapist - if you live in USA. THEN - think twice about playing around with things you don't understand. Find a teacher.
  6. What is SECAB&DE?

GreytoWhite gave a good answer. The Sequential neigong movement is a subset of Gift of the Tao II. It can be practiced stand alone and is available as a separate DVD or along with the Gift of the Tao II movements. We just got through doing 8 days of several hours of practice per day. WOW - talking about charged up! I only have ever seen 2 moves that compare with the totality of the Sequential moves and they are also in the Gift of the Tao system. Very powerful.
  7. Tai Chi 4 Martial Art

Chen Pan Ling Tai Jee is a form where the teacher knows exactly what each form does martially and consists of the use of engineering principles like analysis of force vectors and moment arms. I would agree that far too many teachers in the US have no idea what it is they are teaching. One can't simply remove the design of a system and say it is something else just because they want it to be or because they themselves weren't taught the completeness of a system.
  8. Send me an email and I will put you in touch with the local Stillness-Movement person who already has a group together for Friday night. Since Brian can't make it I didn't know if you had this info.
  9. Stillness Movement?

Thank you for editing and giving credit to where it is due; my teacher's teacher.
  10. Mastering the emotions

Agreed. We ARE emotional beings - a part of our true nature. Nothing is so greatly in harmony with Tao as a good belly laugh. "Spiritual" folks who want to suppress emotions are living a part-life instead of full life as expressed by their true nature.
  11. And one of the more awesome things about it is that you GET to be up at 2 AM in the worst snow & icestorm of the year and hold a little baby goat up to drink while your partner hods the young mother who doesn't know anything about babies or that she is supposed to let the baby drink the colostrum. Such fun!!! Ah, but there is simply nothing like a baby goat. They get all this energy bundled up and just suddenly spring up and do a twist hop as they suddenly release the qi.
  12. Simply nothing to be concerned about.
  13. If ya'll feel like driving about 15 min, this is my favorite in Springfield: http://www.springfieldbambu.com/category/menu/pho-noodle-soups I love their chicken pho.
  14. ouch - Our friend from Brazil is likely to not want to eat there as who wants to fly oh-so-many-hours (13 or so?) to eat at a restaurant that is most probably a pale comparison of the real thing (I have no idea) - perhaps he will wish to go with you, Brian... For us in-country folks it is probably a neat and different place to eat. I will not be in town and the Australian folks will not be there either.
  15. Extent of possibilities

Best idea is to practice a complete system. Yes, the brain benefits, but there are safeguards to insure whole body-everything qi enhancement. BKA lists what can happen when folks play with things versus actually learning and correctly practicing a system. Charging up separate parts in the head, without balance, is not a good idea. Balance, whole body, mind & Spirit IS good idea.
  16. What would you ask a master?

Yes, water does not hold charge as well as herbal infusions. But I think you a bit confused about it always being "sweet". It depends on the intent of the practitioner and what the patient or client needs. Sometimes sweet, yes. Sometimes "tangy" or bitter, sometimes totally neutral as in no taste at all (whereas original untreated had particular taste). My favorite instant "cold" infusion is to use Gaia super strength echinacea liquid in water and charge it up. WHAM!!!
  17. Stillness Movement?

This should provide at least a few minutes of reading http://thetaobums.com/topic/7783-chinese-taoist-medicine-stillness-movement-medical-qigong/?hl=stillness-movement http://thetaobums.com/topic/34733-sm-importance-of-tree-gong/?hl=stillness-movement#entry545678 http://thetaobums.com/topic/23817-gift-of-the-tao-ii-neigong-movements/?hl=stillness-movement http://thetaobums.com/topic/34214-stillness-movement-workshop-comments/?hl=stillness-movement#entry541147 http://thetaobums.com/topic/15225-stillness-movement-neigong-and-michael-lomaxs-light-warriors-guide-book/?hl=%20stillness%20%20movment%20%20workshop http://thetaobums.com/topic/30376-stillness-movement-neigong-review-june-2013/?hl=%2Bstillness+%2Bmovement+%2Breview http://thetaobums.com/topic/21193-sequential-energy-center-activation-balancing-dimensional-expansion/page-7?hl=%2Bstillness+%2Bmovement+%2Breview#entry305326 http://thetaobums.com/topic/19103-stillness-movement-neigong-review/?hl=%2Bstillness+%2Bmovement+%2Breview http://thetaobums.com/topic/14604-stillness-movement-with-michael-lomax/?hl=%2Bstillness+%2Bmovement+%2Breview http://thetaobums.com/topic/13789-the-gift-of-tao-ya-mus-dvd/page-3?hl=+stillness%20+movement%20+review http://thetaobums.com/topic/10576-review-stillness-movement-worshop-june-20-and-21-2009/?hl=%2Bstillness+%2Bmovement+%2Breview http://thetaobums.com/topic/9456-stillness-movement-and-michael-lomax/?hl=%2Bstillness+%2Bmovement+%2Breview If this doesn't produce the answers you are looking for, I am always glad to answer genuine questions about Stillness-Movement Neigong.
  18. Your Opinions

For some reason I feel like I have read this before.
  19. restoring eye sight

We have another qigong method that utilizes that same concept; takes the fourier transform of the light coming in.
  20. restoring eye sight

That's right, for the most part. And, with western medicine knowing how to do amazing surgeries and treat myriad problems, the same thing can be said. Just one of those things that simply IS. I have seen clinical qigong responses with near-nearsightedness but not with all cases. In terms of self-qigong practice, I know I can tell a huge difference if I practice a lot versus if I don't. The difference is wearing glasses versus not needing them. My wife will look at me driving and ask where are my glasses. I tell her I don't know but can she please tell me what lane I am in. Ha Ha

  22. restoring eye sight

A Qigong Method: After doing qigong, when a person feels the qi and heat buildup, he/she can rub the hands together vigorously and SLOWLY approach the open eyes to within an inch or so with the open palm facing the eyes and laogong lined up with eyeball. Slowly move hands back and forth several times. Repeat for total of 3 times. Briefly, using thumbs, touch and gently stimulate all the acupoints surrounding eyes. Vigorously wash face with hands afterwards. A good thing to do at this point is the complete self-massage I list in my book. If a person doesn't have that then a self massage starting at the face washing then move all the way down to feet.
  23. SM - Importance of Tree gong

I moved from an area I had been in for years. Now, more than 10 years later, people still tell me that when they drive by they can feel the energetic transformation there. Some see it as a large glowing field. Plants grow faster and larger. Huge crops were harvested. Animals thrive and it attracts wild animals. Every single year a large panther would stop off at my place on his travels. He would rest for several days there. He would always leave me 1/2 of a deer right outside my house when he left. These practices not only transform a person's energy body but also transform their surroundings. edit: typo
