I haven't yet looked at your link. But what I have found over and over (not trying to step on any toes) is that there is the healers's view/experience of qi and the MA view of qi. MA tend to think of body and internal flow and power whereas healers see qi as both internal flow and can be manipulated externally. If the MA talks about external qi then he is subjected to ridicule within his profession because of the "empty force" strikes viewpoint/issue. I find most don't understand wei qi liao fa. I have certainly met a few who do. And I think there are a very few who post on this board who do but I can say through experience that the majority do not.

Any recommendation for a super slow qigong style?

Gift of the Tao movement qigong does this. -
The effects of chi kung on musicianship...

Yes, good video. I know Francesco and took a workshop with one of his teachers that is in that video. I think what it all boils down to is that the practice of qigong helps all our natural talents manifest to their utmost expression. -

Funny you should mention that. I am playing high energy rock n' roll Sat night. What happened with me concerning energy and music was that, before I understood much about qigong but was practicing qigong, I found that the band I was in was getting "too much respect" for our level of talent. It seemed that everywhere we played we drove the audience into a frenzy to the point of them crowding the stage (and once they actually toppled the PA and rushed the stage; we grabbed our guitars and ran out the back). Signing autographs when we were a simple southern rock band seemed a little far fetched, but we were liked too much. I had a discussion about this phenomena with my teacher and he told me it was because my qi was strong but was wild and out of control. This hit home for me and I worked on better control. I do not listen to rock music, much preferring native flute music. But I play rock. I don't practice, just show up at the gig and play. There is most definitely a connection between qi development and music abilities. I have trained two major rock stars in qigong. -
Yeah that was me. Brian seemed like a neat fellow. He and I have a mutual friend who flew down for the seminar and told him about it. Boy those MA's take a whole lot of convincing! I may be back in Nashville next spring. Also Indianapolis, Indiana is possible late spring as well as Normal, Illinois. Actually, my school in Missouri is only 6 hrs drive from Nashville. I can demonstrate the amazing qi properties of goat dropping at any time with my myotonic goats. I gather up my qi and say "Boo" and they drop in their tracks. Of course, if I could say "Boo" with no qi they would still drop in their tracks!

I think it is an individual thing. I have done this for several years. I can't honestly say it has done anything for me. But I do know of other people who have gotten good results. I no longer use it much. Just hanging around...

Is this an off-body or on-body strike? I know that when Master Chang (Chen Pan Ling's senior student) hit me and sent me flying up against the wall he did lightly hit my body. I have never seen anyone that could consistently hit someone off body and knock them down, but do know the method exists. I know of a method that will cause intense harm to a person (or animal) off-body but I don't feel I will ever teach it and know I would never use it unless in a dire situation. As I am a healer and NOT a martial artist my philosophy is that these type of techniques are far too dangerous to be publicly demonstrated.

I believe the words were it would never work as well. The same thing applies to therapists/doctors etc that work on their spouse (energy medicine of any type). Because of the merging potential, it makes it more difficult to get results with a spouse than with a patient. I have actually interviewed hundreds if not over a thousand practitioners and asked about this. In this informal survey every single one said that it was much more difficult.

Chinese Taoist Medicine & Stillness-Movement Medical Qigong

A person does have to let go of mental methods long enough to actually experience the flow of a patient's neuro-electrical system in order to balance it. What you miss is that this method actually does tap into a person's brain signals. For thousands of people, this method has brought about much relief of suffering and has an extremely high success rate in clinic. Results are what is important in any method. There is a trick that gets a person past this conundrum. It works by allowing a student to make the attempt (practice), during which the teacher corrects the vibration by putting his/her hand over the students to guide them in the flow patterns and reach the proper vibration (learn). But the teacher could never just verbally tell a student how to do this. But you are almost correct in one thing. You overestimated the number of teachers of this method on the earth. As far as I know, it is only two. If I get as many as 5 students to the point of being teachers I will be overwhelmed with joy. The method IS difficult to grasp as it takes a long time to actually discern the neuro-energetic flow. It is not for all healers as most do not have the patience to learn it. That said I do have a number of students using the method everyday in clinic with phenomenal results. -
I talked about one of the times in my book (struck by lightning). My next book will describe another more recent event. The time I have never talked about is when I was 15 and in a severe car wreck and was in intensive care. I could sum it all up in saying that the "life is meaningless" thread is oh-so-wrong from my point of view. Life is Sacred and we walk in a Sea of Light. There are things that we can only accomplish here. It is all about raising the energy body vibration rate, practicing Virtue, and aligning oneself with the Sacred. Then Dance in the Wu Wei and do the best you can in finding and fulfilling your destiny.

I was thinking about getting into brain surgery. Do you know of any online sources for scalpels? OK, a bit facetious, but dude! It takes a whole lot of study to learn acupuncture. I will both agree and disagree about the comments of seeing western MD and chiropractor for acupuncture. Acupuncture results will be directly proportional to the amount of qi cultivation the practitioner has done, the amount of patients he has seen, and the amount of study he has done. ANY ONE of those considerations could possible outweigh the other. For instance a classically trained acupuncturist that is too damn lazy to practice qigong may/probably will not get as good results as a western MD that has met certification requirements of medical acupuncture AND practices qigong daily. We ARE talking about the manipulation of qi here. I am not a fan of the chiropractic application of acupuncture but that is not to say that any specific chiropractor has not actually studied more than anyone else (I have never seen this, but possible). Self acupuncture will never work as well as acupuncture done by a qigong practitioner (trained in acupuncture). The reason is the energy potential difference. In other words you are at the same energy potential as yourself.

I just opened a Maredsous Abbaye ale - thought it may get me closer to Tao. Dang sure makes me appreciate Tao more. Does that count?

meaningless? Do not agree. There are some things that can only be done here.

Good question, but it boils down to a choice of stay or leave. I have died more than once and would say don't worry about it, you'll make a choice. From the standpoint of helping others there is a medical qigong method for helping a person that is dieing.

Little1, Neikung, houtian, Gamuret, and r.w.smith - the same person?
Ya Mu replied to RFunaki's topic in General Discussion
We usually say it as "No good deed goes unpunished." The thing is, for everything you say here and to your students and to people on the street, for the most part, in any particular group, they are not going to listen or appreciate what you say. And some will turn on you. But there is going to be that one person who is helped by what you say, and THAT makes it worthwhile. So keep up the good work. Personally I suspect there are several folks with multiple logins. I don't care. Folks should express however they wish. -
It sounds to me as if you are doing quite well. Why change what is working. I read you as having much ability with energy manipulation. Have you considered the path of the healer? There is much need in society for those that can help others with energetics.

Maybe me too! Little1, is it FUN being you? -
I agree. I do agree the method exists; I don't agree that it has anything to do with Spirituality.

Great post! The book "Destiny of Souls" made my jaw drop when I read it because it was almost exactly like I had experienced in dreamtime and coincided with the info in my book. One reason the Bible has so few references to reincarnation is that most references were removed I think in 308 AD. Good! And it is all a matter of raising energy body vibration, practicing Virtue, and walking in the Wu Wei. This takes most many lifetimes to accomplish.

Missed these when you posted. Great posts! This is my experience as well.

You are not the first person I have seen that had problems with that system. But it still doesn't mean ALL internal meditation systems (sitting) are bad. The sitting is the fist part we are trained in in my system. One of the keys you touched based on is to insure no qi stagnation; our SITTING has this built in and I believe you are correct, a system that doesn't have that aspect could be dangerous. Our sitting can be safely done alone.

Reading bullshit posts on the internet CAN confuse a person. This forum contains quite a bit of it. But it also contains some very wise words. So how do you discern the difference? Basically, you can't until you have raised your energy body vibration up to the point of energy discernment. How do you do that? FIND A TEACHER! After taking a workshop/classes with that teacher you find that nothing resonates with you, find another teacher! This process has worked for a very long time. Nothing at all wrong with ALL sitting meditation. Perhaps there was something wrong with YOUR sitting meditation. I practice and teach Stillness-Movement sitting method which works very well because it works in a natural non-forced manner, yet is very powerful. I do agree to a certain point that sitting must be balanced with movement. The Stillness-Movement SYSTEM has sitting, standing, tree, walking and running as components. I also teach the Gift of the Tao movement system alongside the sitting; this gives a balanced perspective. But don't say All sitting meditation is overrated OR not the proper approach to meditation as this is not true. But I do agree that some sitting forms are certainly not optimal.
