Perhaps. I just see his potential to be much more than giving every maiden he sees an orgasm. And uh, I don't think it is exactly unselfish. He likes it.
  2. Spontaneous Kundalini Experience

OK, just checking (and if you ever see that you think I may be on the verge of losing calmness please speak up). Because I know how easy it is to let this sort of thing get to a person. Especially if a person has passed this stage and knows different. I have not said much about Drew's insistence because I do not particularly like to argue or cause controversy, at least not much. But I do realize that people who don't know read these things and take it for gospel and in this case, you and I both should speak up. As far as real qigong masters, I guess that depends on one's definition. I have met many people in the USA who are very very good with their qigong. I do OK as well. I just haven't met anyone who had the capacity of the one person who I called master. And yes, of course I am biased. There are several teachers here in the USA that I would recommend. You are one of them. I wish you well, brother. Keep up the good work. Unfortunately Teacher Wang ascended several years ago and the hospital is no more. Master Wang asked me to teach his system in the West and specifically trained me to do so. I think you are probably right about some of the other hospitals, although I certainly didn't check them all out. After Teacher Wang passed on I tried to find any doctors in China that could add to my education. It turned out everyone and everything that I looked at paled in comparison to what Master Wang taught. That said, I am sure if one searches long enough they can find some very good info and teachings. I think the "new" atmosphere in China makes all involved in qigong very careful of what they say. As far as adding to experiences, I can only say that the man had/has an energy body that I have seen on no one else. Stories? Got a bunch of them and have shared some here on this board. I had a certain degree of notoriety (totally undeserved IMO) in Baoding, made the front page of the newspaper a few times. But all because I was Teacher Wang's student. One of the front page articles was something to the effect "Qigong Predestined Marriage made Manifest". But the reporter that wrote it took many many liberties with my words on the interview he did. It sounds like something out of a fairy tale/science fiction movie. LMAO just thinking about it.
  3. Percieving Energy

And this is one of the keys to the development. It can never be forced. Sounds like you are doing just fine. Keep up the good work.

What you do not realize is that YES you do have a special talent. It is because of who you are spiritually. NOT everyone can reach the level you describe of qi projection. So I suggest and would hope that you start using this talent for healing others. It is desperately needed in this world. Also, what you don't realize is that the method you are desribing, of using the sexual energy, although quite powerful, is NOT the end all be all in energy manipulation. The ARE Higher Level methods. I have used the method you described many years ago and finally determined the results although powerful, were not worth the compromise. I respect your teacher. I saw him give a presentation at the NQA a few years ago. He seemed really sincere and I liked that. I also met several of his students. Most were really nice and sincere but several suffered from hero worship. There are other talented teachers around. Your teacher is NOT the end all be all in qigong healers or qigong teachers. I have worked on several of his "patients" who did not receive much results from him and I DID have results. But I will also say that, although I don't know for sure, I would bet that the reverse is true. Different people respond to different methods. Full lotus is NOT many times more powerful than other methods for many people. "Real" qigong "masters" become "real qigong masters" and never ever do full lotus. Although I will truthfully say I have never met or seen what I consider a "real" qigong "master" in the USA and have met only one in China. Although I am not sure of your motives, I commend you for scouring the internet, searching for Wang Juemin, for he was/is/will be a "real" qigong "master". Think about ways in which you can use your talent to help humanity - that is the real test to see if YOU become a "master". Now, Santi, Brother. Calm is extremely important for both of us, as it is for Drew. When one has Power it is far more important than when one doesn't. Don't let Drew's understanding take you to the point of losing your calmness. He will one day understand, and I sense that his Destiny is an important contribution.
  5. Spontaneous Kundalini Experience

Drew, You have a great gift. But I will flat out say I think you are wrong about the ONLY way is full lotus. It worked for YOU. But for everyone, simply not true. The brain wave thing. Once a person has practiced their qigong for a while they should be able to instantly achieve deep stilling of brain waves. I tried a 3 minute experiment in a sleep lab where they wired me up and said go. In 3 minutes while wide awake i went through the first 3 stages of sleep and was going much deeper. (we only had 3 minutes to play - lab time is expensive) The funny thing was I spent the first 30 seconds trying to get my nose to quit itching with a wire draping across it.
  6. Percieving Energy

Most of what people describe in the books is looking through filters. Don't believe everything you read. Valid only if author has burned through all filters and is not lying. It all depends on what your natural talent is. IF your natural talent is SEEING then raising the energy body vibrational frequency will bring forth that natural talent. Most folks who have that talent start seeing after practicing Stillness-Movement for about 1 year. It takes time and effort of many years to hone that talent.
  7. Well, actually the old Taoist travelers that would traverse China had a technique of using Qi to scare off wild animals. I was taught this technique and it works well ... but don't wish to have to test it out against lions. I was also taught the Taoist qigong running technique ... but don't wish to run across China either. But of course an imaginary qi ball wouldn't do anything at all. From the perspective of MA then physical conditioning is just as important. From the perspective of awareness then the body is used for a small, small, small snap of the fingers period of time whereas energy development that addresses the energy body carries through for eternity.
  8. Intuition and Logic.

To derail again... Yeah! A true way of expression! But I am waiting on the guitar playing until Sat night's gig - the only trouble is that the folks that hired the band want us to "dress for Halloween" and uh,...glamor rock... ugh ... Salut to all those "down under"; High Voltage Rock N Roll! ...end thread derail
  9. Intuition and Logic.

And I would agree with you! Both are valid as pathways and can help assist, but the truth is that we live in a dynamic not static universe so the only thing that is "correct" is perception NOW.
  10. Intuition and Logic.

Seth, I sense you know things that you are not saying - good arguments so far! Buddhist dudes: I agree with much of what you say BUT... Taoist dudes: I agree with much of what you say BUT... So I think I may have posted these before but here are two poems, one Taoist and one Buddhist, and yes the words "Light Warrior" are my own but are true to the interpretation of each of these poems. From the book "A Light Warrior's Guide to High Level energy Healing" Buddhist Poem My Mind is like the Sun. My Heart is like the Moon. Inside my body there is a Lotus. The Lotus reflects the Light of the Sun & Moon. The Light of the Stars reflects the Light of my Body. I feel I am a Higher Level Being. I can move the Universe, for I am a Warrior of the Light. Taoist Poem The Sun, Moon and Stars are inside my body. The High Level Energy comes into my body through Bai Hui, Dan Tian, and through all the pores of my body. The High Level Energy makes my blood and my Qi strong and powerful, with good and proper circulation. This High Level Energy is SO POWERFUL, It makes my Energy Eternal! Ok, now which poem is correct? Intuition and logic. Logic includes the mind which includes the brain; the brain is limited and always will be. Intuition is of the part of us that is eternal. Potentially no limitations. The problems occur because the mind and filters that we create through the "life process"gets in the way. The only way I know to get in touch with the true intuition which is the flow of Tao is to burn through those filters and have the real eternal you take control instead of the conditioned electrical signals present in brain/mind. And the only way I know to really know the real you is to align oneself with Tao and learn to walk in the Wu Wei. And the only way I know of to do that is practice energetics and actually follow the intuitive path. In this view, our minds are our worst enemies. But, I am saying it is the only way I know... not saying it is the only way. Getting hit by lightning works wonders but most do not survive this so I do not recommend it. I am not the Scholar so most of the argument in this thread is beyond my mind. ....carry on
  11. We use this technique in medical qigong, Good! YES!
  12. For Neophytes: Qi Sickness

Your perspective is common and probably one shared by most (obviously not all) who post here, especially the more MA oriented. But cultivated qi is projected by intent and really doesn't have a thing to do with muscles. I knew a fat Chinese teacher who had a stroke and couldn't move his right arm. But he could take his other arm, put the "dead" one on top of a person's head, and make said person shake like a monkey with his qi. Now, from the MA perspective I do agree to a certain point. But Master Chang (Chen Pan Ling's senior student) was a frail looking old man who could knock anyone on his ass while barely moving. It really boils down to LOOKS mean nothing as far as qi development. There are all sorts of body types out there.
  13. For Neophytes: Qi Sickness

You mean like this guy? Yep, surely he has nothing at all - just look at him!
  14. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

I agree. Anyone can choose through free will to go anywhere and study anything. But it will be like riding a bicycle up a steep hill, and when you get to the top of the hill you will find alligators to cross over. In other words it leaves little satisfaction to the soul. I know I was NOT looking for a teacher when I found Master Wang. I had decided to go back to school and was enrolled pre-med and had scheduled the semester. It just so happened that I spent a weekend with a Lakota medicine man, and while we both were in trance he told me "you are already a powerful healer - why go backwards?" "You will meet one more teacher in your life very soon" (words to that effect). Opportunity to go to China "suddenly" manifested so I ran up the credit cards and went to meet Master Wang - haven't looked back since. AND the second I stepped of the train our eyes met and I KNEW.
  15. Just wanted to add that, although I do know there are a lot of myths, people should have damn good reason to do things different than their teacher says. USUALLY there is a really good reason derived from experience when the teacher says do or do not something.
  16. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

What was funny about that convention is that I was seated on the front row WITH the communist dignitaries. I think the scowls were when I was introduced and my wife & I were seated right between two of the honchos from Beijing. Totally agree with the tried and proven methods. Too many new age methods get a part of the wheel but don't realize that spokes are needed.
  17. Are You "Light" Enough?

And I respectfully disagree. Stig: Good topic. Concerning energy healing of "light" versus "heavy". It is true that the "heavies" do not respond as well to direct energy projection. Usually we have to put out much more qi to get effect when working on "heavies", but we can get positive effect. The better way is to use High Level energetics treatment method where direct to the body does not occur. This method uses "as above so below" and works very well with these folks.
  18. Right on! I know that (my) qigong practice after sex is most beneficial. I know that I can practice in Wind, while facing other directions than south; during thunderstorms I get very good qigong practice, during riding airplane I get very good qigong practice. i get very good qigong practice with shoes off on the grass, with shoes on and standing on a porch, while watching TV, while feeding dogs, while cooking, weather patterns do not matter at all, all is good. There are a lot of myths out there that are mostly based on superstition rather than fact. I do agree with numbers 1-4, 8-10, 13,15,18 agree that we must remain calm, and 21-24 posted above.
  19. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

You raise many good points. I know that I did experience some Chinese people who were most reserved with westerners and could not accept that a westerner had the ability to "be a qigong master", this included an acupuncture doctor I was studying with. But once I worked on some of his patients in clinic he changed his mind. I remember when I was introduced as a "western qigong master and senior student of Wang Juemin" in a convention with about 5,000 Chinese folks and top communist dignitaries, I got several "scowls" but mostly from a couple of the communist leaders. For the most part I received no discrimination and was treated with respect (more than I deserved) because I was Master Wang's student. Master Wang himself held back nothing - we had an energy connection that transcended ALL racial, socio-economic, and other boundaries. We were very close. Another interesting thing I have found is the attitude of many younger Chinese here in the USA that are in the medical field. Mention the "older" Chinese ways such as qigong healing and they get all up in arms telling me that China is modern and not backwards.
  20. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

This is why I teach and expose my students to calming energies first. We must develop the means to project calming energies before we do anything else. In order for a person to progress in his qigong it is imperative that he remain calm. When we get more powerful it is really easy to do things we shouldn't that can effect others in a negative manner. Remaining calm in all situations prevents this.
  21. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

Agreed. Things happen sometimes that are a result from the practice. I don't try to dim the lights at my workshops but it has happened. Although I think I now have figured out how to avoid it, I can see how it could occur again. I have had many things happen; these things are just phenomena which doesn't mean anything in terms of the real reason for practice. Folks would be well advised to not be attracted to the phenomena aspect but to the spiritual aspect of a practice. This bears repeating:
  22. Why do you believe in qi?

Good post. I really like "Qi is the food of soul"
  23. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

I practice and teach Cloaking. This helps as a person starts to glow brightly from raising energy body vibration. Not only does it help in not attracting unwanted attention from negativity, it also helps when grocery shopping so you are not approached by too many people who for reasons they do not understand "know you can help them". Helps speed up grocery shopping Sometimes it will display on a picture when it was not so obvious in person. Once my wife and I were driving on a reservation in New Mexico. I all of a sudden pulled over and got out of the car. MY wife asked WTF and I said I needed to commune with a powerful Spirit that lived in the rock formation there. SO I did that and she took scenic pictures not paying attention to what I was doing. We later on developed the film and there the Spirit was!
