Apes eat sometimes meat if there is not other food available. The same thing basically applies to meat eathers. A lot of meat eating animals eat nuts or plants when there is not meat available.

So what is the ego? Is it nothingness, just plain consiousness or something else?

Excellent article! I have never had such a nice overview. I am vegetarian, although I was not very sure that we were 'designed" herbivore. The only thing you have to be careful for nowadays is that you take vitamine b12 supplements. Decades ago, many kinds of food contained vitamine b12, but not anymore because of the mass production. About the difference between vegan and vegetarian. I don't think we were "designed" to consume diary products or chicken eggs either. I am vegetarian, because vegan is to much effort, but I wonder about the advantages and differences of being vegan instead of vegetarian? I pressume we were designed vegan instead of vegetarian?

Thank you for your point of view on the spiritual life. It seems you are a high-attainer, while still being modest. You are the first high attainer which I "met". To me it seems like the energetic work is the "science" and the enlightment itself is subjective. Although in the end the energetic work supports the enlightment. Only the Tao will know. I just wrote a lot of words, but I deleted them afterwards. It feels like I need to quit reading and talking and I need to start thinking/practising. I have many questions about life still, but I am confused, sleepy and I think this is not topic related. Thereby I will end my participation in this topic. I want to thank you all for helping me out! Many thanks for this advice. You remind me that enlightment is not going to be the end of all suffering, which I actually would like to believe in. This down to earth advice will help me, because I was supposing that the spiritual life would actually resolve most of my questions regarding questions about the unknown. It seems enlightment is not interchangeable with knowledge. Besides I thought I thought it would end most suffering, but I don't care much about suffering. I think I learn most during suffering. I still am interested in in the KAP path, because I want to see some more progress. I presume it will help me more in understanding. Chi, Kundalini, Kunlun -> the thing which connects them together is not wasting semen during orgasms in the sex act. Fiveelement thanks for your extensive advices, but I have a question. What do you think enlightment is? Are you doing a special path? Are you cultivating a kind of energy?

A vacuum (black hole) is Ying. I read that somewhere (maybe in Costa Danaos book). So if I understand you correctly it is this Ying vacuum energy which is going to release the blocks? I have seen this movie a couple of times and his last words "You think the room is empty, but there is so much..." really make me curious now. Does someone maybe knows what there is in that room?

I am seeking the ultimate reality because I see reality shape shifting so often. I have been grown up with science and after I discovered that life is spiritual as well and after doing yoga for more than half a year, I have seen strange things happen (miracles). So now my view of reality is even more changed. So I have started asking what the whole spiritual life is about. What is the reality? How does the world works? Is life just a dream? Why can people change worldy happenings just by their thoughts? What is the relation between inducing altered states by drugs and spiritual practises? Is there something as a God? What is the end of the spiritual life or does it change shape just like any dream? Various systems offer a ultimate reality, but for me it seems hard to find it. That is why I am still looking for it. You say we are already living in the ultimate reality, but what happens after death? In fact I am not rushing into a system. I have been looking for a good system for almost half a year. I just liked to receive taobummers' opinons on it. I received them and I am very thankfull for them. But still I think I just need to begin somewhere. The spiritual life is more about practising and not just reading This is why I think I need to begin with a valid path. At the moment I prefer KAP, so I think I begin that path soon. I have experienced with kundalini already for some time on my own, but I think I need a teacher indeed. That is indeed sometimes hard. The hardest part are the wet dreams, because they are very dissatifying in it self, but they also increase sexual desire for the next couple of days. I usually fail after three weeks or so. Besides I sometimes disconnect from the world because my family and friends seem to live in a world which is based on illusion (as I try to find out what is not illusion) But on average, I have not really problems with my emotional control.

I see, I am indeed very happy I have found the spiritual life and this website. Besides I could even choose out of these wonderfull spiritual paths! Now I need to start the practise. Thank you very much for this advice. I get a lot of good advice here on taobums. I really see the value of a community connecting together for sharing such "obscured" knowledge. In autobiography of a yogi, Yogananda tells about the ultimate. He says that it is merging with the consiousness of God. It seems pretty similar to merging with the Tao and I have read about the same description in an African religion (I thought it was merging with the Tongo or something) To me it seems logical that this could be the ultimate state (if there is one of course) In this state you loose your ego in the ocean of (divine) awareness. My question now is if the rainbow body is comparable to this state?

I had confusions about this as well, but now I have seen Yogini writing about it, I think it is just sex energy. I quote him from a book. You should see lesson 54 in the content. Thank you a lot. I have read some of your daily experiences. Your world looked like the mine sometimes : ) A mess! Altough I am interested in spirituality for only 3/4 year. That is why I want to follow a stable route now. However, I have a question, what does KAP mean? Are you are saying that I should mix Kunlun and kundalini? Thats not good advice according to Max.

He talks about vacuum energy from the zero point field. But Yogani talks about making vacuums as well. The higher chakras in vacuum attract the kundalini energy from lower chakras. If it is still an other energy which Max uses I totally lose my mind. How many energies are there? Does every other energy provides you with an other enlightment?

I wonder if Max is married or if he has a girlfriend. I am not gay or something :-) , but I wonder if having a girlfriend is a (little) "obstacle" in such spiritual attainments or if it is of good use. Besides I want to place being in love with a girl somewhere in the "spiritual attainments" ladder. Is it simply a proper mix of yin and yang energy? Can you feel the same way if you mix these energies in yourself? Being in love often fades after a few years, is this only because couples waste their energies during sex? I wonder also if Max believes in reincarnation. Not every high spiritual man believes in reincarnation. He talks about enlightment and I know he is a Bodhissatva, but still what is he planning to do after (physical) death?

Hello, my name is Thijs and I'm from the Netherlands. I have been fascinated by paranormal phenomena for almost all my life. I can see that the knowledge I learn from these different perspectives helps me in life because of the benefits. For example knowledge about the harmfull effects of the loss of semen really helped me progessing. However, many people promised me that I could feel the feeling of "being in love" by meditation and other spiritual methods, but I have not experienced this for a while. I am looking if it is realistic and beneficial for me and other people to merge with heaven and earth (which should result in a feeling like "being in love") but than even better. I could not imagine this could be so much better than being in love with a girl with enough chi in your body. I have experienced myself that you could not be in love if you drop your semen frequently. Besides it confuses me that there is a lot of evidence for reincarnation. This frightens me a bit, maybe I should put some effort in escaping the illusionary world. Please correct me if I am wrong, I am here to learn. All the best, Thijs
