I don't care anymore. Am returning to the path of Aikido which is beyond small winning and losing concepts. Is there any winning and losing for a samurai? If you win you live if you lose you die! LOL! O'sensei realized human race needs to put a stop to destroying other human beings and folow the way of peace. Fight for peace not to become famous and make money. *may turn on TUF "by accident" after aikido practice*

I know all my BJJ friends hate to here this and say it's bs but just watch this clip. Marcello Garcia is one of the best BJJ guys in the world and the guy he dominates here Shaolin Ribiero is also considered one of the best. Do you see the similarities of how effortlessly he pulls guard and chokes his oppnoent and watching old clips of O'Sensei efffortlesly move to his oppnonents back and throw them down and pin them? It's the same shit just different form. And BJJ allows for competition.
-
It's fun but it's still a sport. I think if you took O'sensei or Shibata Sensei from Berkley and asked Marcello to choke him out he would either get his arm or wrist broken. BJJ guys will kill you if your on your back but technically an aikido expert will never, never be on there back. Cam

The US is a great country..probably the greatest ever. Look at history and all the countries with great power how they abused it. Bush will be gone in a couple years and if you look at thoe polls most Americans(even Republicans) are sick of Bush and the milking 9/11 crap. I know this may sound like crap but watch where we are in 10 years. Shit like this has to happen for the yonger generations to wake up, not just in USA but all over the world. I am 30 also. Soon this will be our world then what will you say? The neocons will be dead and we either get smarter or grow stupid. Cam

I feel you Like when I go to clubs and see all these guys just walk up to a beautiful girl and start grabbing her ass..I guess on some level that is fun..I just have this feeling like saying hello and making_some_eye contact before I start squezing and spanking your ass. But I guess most of those girls at the club are not there for realatiknships but to have some sex. The whole thing just isn't very conducive to the taoist, slow sexual alchemy..that lifestlye. I think long term relationships are the way to go....even if it's with more than one woman you start to 'connect' more. Plato will preobably say this is utter bullshit and no alchemy happens with woman anyway..just fucking....if you want to cultivate meditate and do good deeds.. And a long term sexual aprtner that supports the whole process is most conducive to that.. I guess that should be my goal then?(one of them atleast) Cam

Wow. Well...I just decided to do Aikido again..but you have given me alot of food for thought Buddy. Thanks for the great response. "It found me"...awesome. Cameron

Fuck it. Gonna download and read it when I have time. I'll give feedback. Cam

I think your on the right track and Kieth has a good point. Taoist Discussion should focus on spiritual cultivation and philosophy, and anything that pertains to that. Off topic is just that..things that don't directly pertain to that...like our opnion of countries and Daily show footage Cam

Good stuff. I'll have to carry out experiments this summer and get to the bottom of this

My guess is when you get to a high level of cultivation you see the underlying oneness and stillness amidst change. Concepts like time and space are useful in worldly matters but from the mind of enlightenment thousands of years are probably like a blink of an eye(I am guessing). I remember reading that quote from Buddha that the biggest lake in India is like a drop of water on his foot .When you realize your true nature and see things clearly small concepts like measurments of size or a length of time are pretty minute(I am guessing). qigong means energy work. But I would like to think one definition of enlightenment would be transcending..well...everything... Though I am not crazy about the word transcend..I would prefer saying "see clearly" or something..

Buddy, Do you know of the late Sifu Kenny Gong? The main internal MA guy near me(besides Aikido) is/was his disiple for 20 years. I did a class, really nice guy..showed me some basic Bagua walking and some Shing Yi. I hesitate because I have this thing in my head that it's best to just focus on one MA and get really good at it. You probably so all my ramblings asking the board whether I should practice Brazillian Jiu Jitsu or Aikido. I have trained in both, mostly aikido, but have been getting mixed feelings on which one I really wanted to train in long term. There are only so many days in a week so if I go to bagua one night and Aikido one night and BJJ one night I have to think doing aikido 3 nights would be better. Funny thing, I think we had these discussions years ago. I just love MA so much and there is so much cool but different stuff out there you know. shit, I feel like I am talking about trying to find the right woman to marry or something. Ok..so..how did you know Baguzhang and all the stuff you trained was the "right one" what feeling or impulse distinguished it that gave you the concrete feeling "this is my path". Heck, I guess if you could answer how you decided the Water Method was your spiritual path over everything else that's out there that would be great also. Cameron

My uncle lived in Hong Kong for 11 years and I asked him about it recently. He said a major difference between Chinese and US is China has no desire to export there culture. USA will always be the major cultural force around the world exporting our Starbucks and McDonalds and Hollywood and all that. China keeps to themselves more and Chinese as a whole don't seem as Yang a culture as America. Probably the major cities are but I jsut don't see them wanting to be the dominant world power even if they are a wealthy nation. Like Iran is a wealthy nation with it's own weird stuff but they have no desire to mess with the rest of the world and are content staying in there own borders sitting on all there oil. If your a believer in NWO it's all staged. Ime not..though I do think people in positions of extreme power tend to gradually get corrupted..nothing new..goes back to Rome and all ancient Empires..just another version..I think Amerca will rebalance itself one way or another and have faith in people. I agree about Communism probably dying in the next few decades. Cam
