Because you think your blender is the best?
-
Judo, Sambo, Aikido...BJJ to some exten. But most good BJJ guys don't ever need to implement breakfalls thay can do flying armbars, get your back mid air and other wild shit. Breakfalls are fun though I did quite alot of them in aikido.

Are we still talking about blenders?

I think the link for part 2 wasn't working check it out now.

Allow it IMO. But awesome post nonetheless.

I really don't think I need it so far the Cuisenart Premiere has done the job. Maybe if I became a raw foodist full time it would be worth it but for 1 or 2 shakes a day I am good to go. *gives blender thumbs up and sips protien shake*

Oh great. Now I have low blender self esteem since mine is not as 'powerful' .Well, it's just to get things going then I will get the $500 super blend tec thing that can turn water into wine and make eating obsolete! *looks at less powerful blender and sighs*

Kieth do you have a link? This is the one I got. blender

Subtle body anatomy of tan tiens and chakras ...
Cameron replied to sean's topic in General Discussion
I remember Cohen saying somewhere that the endocrine glands are fed by sexual energy. Taoists basically put blood and hormones and pretty much everything physical under the broad heading "jing". I remember Chia saying in one of his healing love tapes how you can experience orgasm in the glands, organs and senses themselves. Of course, Bodri basically says your not doing cultivation without retention and I think he describes somewhere how the transfomration of jing to chi goes about and how areas of the body like the thymus are rejuvinated. Or maybe it was Chia that said that...shit they might as well all be one here in Tao internet information land... -
Max! Fedor is doing his first ever USA seminar in Atlantic City in June. I would definetly check it if I was up there. http://www.mfcsport.com/FedorNews.php

No one has a chance with Fedor but it would be fun to see him fight all those UFC guys. But Pride won't let him he is there man. Wand also is Prides man they won't let him fight any UFC fighter.

I enrolled in 7 am classes all summer so it would force me to get up at 5 am to meditate. Man, I better get my shit together and quick!

The way I percieve it is that qigong enables you to absorb more energy from the universe. For example, this afternoon I had the feeling of my lower tan tien opening up and becoming like a giant mouth that could "feed" off the qi of the universe. The central channel and other meridians were like the "straw" that the deep tan tiens use to absorb qi from Mother Earth and Father Heaven, and basically all of nature. My feeling is it is in opening the tan tien(lower first, then middle and upper) more and more that we become an open portal to universal qi . Then, perhaps you can experience oneness with the life breath or what Ken Cohen calls "center everywhere, circumfrence nowhere".

It's all about finding balance. Whether you ejaculate or don't ejaculate is not so much the issue as the time of year, your personal level of develpment, your mood etc. Sometimes it is best to ejaculate sometimes to do retention. And forcing retention is useless. If your doing it, it should be the natural by product of your high level spiritual develpment rather than a discipline. Unless your a sex addict jerking off every day or something than you need some discipline!

Goals are sort of fun. But I agree they are not really where it is at spiritually. My most important goal is to learn to allow everything to be as it is and see clearly. Then I can see what needs to be done with greater clarity and not just from an ego self centered approach. But perhaps saying " I want to change my fortune" or whatever is just another way of going about it. My guess is as long as your focused on the "I" aspect your spiritual life will be limited..but I am still as caught up as anyone..

Tito loves Ken..Ken is the perfect guy Tito can always beat and make a big payday. I mean, if not for Ken, what would Tito do? Get beat up by Chuck again? The thing in MMA that sucks is you never get to see the really good fights because Pride and UFC do there own stuff. Can you imagine Chuck vs. Fedor, or Arlovski vs Wanderlie? Hughes vs. Gracie will be fun though.

Why do you have to diss my desire to do the world record kettlebell press while popping Tao in a Bottle on a fine Persian rug? In all seriousness Steve Cotter will be stronger than me if I train kettlebells for 10 kalpas Ok..short term(like next 3 years)... 1.Get MBA 2.Get purple belt in BJJ 3. Buy a house(or loft) 4. Initiate enlightenment(let's call that dhyana MOST of the time) 5. Cultivate jing, qi shen and LOVE and help people develop themselves where I can. Cam ps. Oh..and maybe meet the infamous Plato when I visit NYC in July

my guess is complete retention is possible but essentially a path for sages. from what I understand almost all the patrarchs and masters of Buddhism were celibates. That doesn't mean it's a higher path but obviously if you put ALL the qi most pople direct at sex and there life to meditation..that is going to have a certain focus to it. I actually prefer the more balanced Taoist approach and definetly can't see myself as a celibate. Sean's once a month deal with jing excercsises/sexual qigong thrown in weekly sounds reasonable and doable long term.
-
After what Sean wrote I don't think I was understanding narcissim correctly. I was thinking it was more like a snob, which I don't think is a diagnosable medical disorder From what you guys are saying it's much more serious and I don't know anyone like that(That I am aware of).

Wow. I suppose I should be grateful that rmax stuff is more "user friendly" to my clueless western mind. Actually, he is probably right about that for many people. My guess is most people on this forum are more than able to grasp weird Asian concepts without needing it explained in western science. I think Scott's system looks very cool and will explore it more deeply in a few weeks with my training experiments but can we give the rmax stuff is better than yoga and qigong bit a rest already? To call it a turnoff would be an understatement.
-
I basically agree with Max. Retention is the way. But you cant' really focus on retention .If your drawn to celibacy you probably need to focus on trasforming the energy as much as possible with meditation, pure thoughts etc. If your in a realationship then hopefully getting a partner that really understands(or you gradually explain it to her) the subtle energetic aspects of sexuality. Basically getting into Tantra. This is what my guess is most of us will pursue long term. Hopefully with some success. Max, if you don't mind me asking, are you celibate now or in a realationship? Did you do the 100 days Bodri talks about with success?(if your celibate)...
-
Freeform, Sean..good stuff. Sean I feel you on the shutting down and freeform on the lack of vulrnabilty stuff. And one of my things now(I suspect for awhile) is starting to pay attention and notice that 'shutting down' and loss of vulnerabilty. Really get into those subtle spaces where we lose contact with our true feelings and basically lie to ourselves and eachother. It is both beautiful and painful work to explore but absolutely essential for me to try to do so. And I agree the truly enlightened have essentially become so vulrnable, or open, as to esssentially allow the rest of the universe..without rejecting... I was talking about it with some people how we go through these moment to moment periods of opening and closing, opening and closing..my guess is becoming enlightened has something to do with opening..and then remaining open forever..but without it fucking up your life

sean, from the persepctive of wholeness, would you say narcissistic people are really very emotionally needy and insecure people. That the narcissism is just an outward display covering some inner confusion or trauma? Seems to me really confident people don't require narcissism and still can poke fun at themselves and laugh, as well as not look down on others. Yoda, I wouldn't put Michael Jordan in the narcisism category from what I have seen of him at all. More like a great motivator and exceptional athlete .I don't remember when people call him the greatest basketball player ever him ever saying "yes, I am" which to me would be narcississm(lack of humilty). but maybe I am still using the term incorrectly. It's not the same as arrogance or over inflated ego more like a neurotic behavior then?
