I don't think more than 2 would be necissary. Why don't you take 3 and let me know . No, I find it is far different than beer for me.

Yodimus Prime, I find it is more stimulating when I take 2 at once. Maybe give that a try. And more relaxing just taking one.

http://nyctaoist.com/ First he calls me a fag, then proceeds to dis Master Yoda's bread and butter practices! I may need to get on a plane to NYC one of these days and give that aneros loving prostate health salesman a piece of my mind! It may involve a night on the town where I force him to watch me make out with a woman-something that will probably be revolting to his man loving tastes-then watch the sun rise together while drinking German beer and eating falafel from Mamoun's on MacDougal St. I will prove both my Father and Master Y are not crazy!! I can tolerate this personal attack on my sexual orientation and love of female essence but won't tolerate attacks on my friends!! * Hobbles to kitchen on one good leg to get a Diet Mt. Dew and calm down* ps. I do not necissarily support nor reject staring into the sun, cutting your tounge to get it to lick your brain or putting your penis inside of a man. This post is for entertainment purpouses only do these practices at your own risk. pss. Mamoun's http://www.mamounsfalafel.com/. You just can't find a good middle eastern restaurant open until 5 am 365 days a year anywhere but NYC.

When I saw Joe Rogan at the Tempe Improv he opened his act imitating Arnold Shwarzeneggar getting fucked in the ass, " Ohhhhhhh. Deeeepaaah. Yaaaaaaa." Crowd busted out laughing. You could start off saying " So I had my tongue deep up my wifes ass and was thinking about this dear abby question I read earlier that day..." Unless you get big and go on Jay Leno or something in which case you would have to tone down your act.

If there was an award for funniest poster of the year I would hand it to you. Your the man!

Holy crap should I go see Lion, Witch & Wardrobe, King Kong or Harry Potter tomorrow? Crap movies all year and now they put out the good ones at the same time.

Well, I go to the theatre hoping to catch a nice, light holiday flick and the only thing starting is Siriana. It basically portrays our govenrment as totally corrupt assassins that will do whatever is necissary to mantain economic power and control of the middle east. And it shows high levels of government(s) as basically employees of oil cartels. It paints a pretty gruesome picture and is heavy but if if you want to see the whole war on terror thing from a different light check it out. Props to George Clooney and Matt Damon for having the balls to do it.

Oh you would just love that wouldn't you? Have you checked out Intu Flow?

Nope. Zen Flesh , Zen Bones was one of the first books I read on Zen. It contains Mumonkan(No Gate Barrier) and lots of Zen stories. The cover is one of the Ten Ox Hearding pictures which illustrate the different stages of seeking and practice on the path to enlightenment(As defined in Zen). That picture looks like the 6th stage called " Riding the Ox home". http://www.ship.edu/~cgboeree/ox.html

You and Sean..I keep trying to talk about enlightenment and you prefer bringing up sex and orgasms. * circulates sexual energy in the microcosmic orbit and decides to talk about sex over enlightenment in '06*

The Japanese Zen tradition uses the terms "Kensho" and "Satori". Kensho is like awakening. The initial "waking up" and seeing your true nature. Satori is like full enlightenment. Completely removing all doubt about the Kensho experience and living that experience every day. I guess I just answered my own question, huh? One explanation of this I read is it's like seeing a cow from a disance. Kensho is like recognizing a cow(your true nature) from a distance. You see " Aha! That is a Cow!". But it is still far away from everyday life and the cow is not clear. Enlightenment/Satori is seeing the cow up close. You see very clearly it is a female cow with brown spots etc. Your clarity improves and it is not just a wonderful but vague experience. You here stories that such and such master "Got the Tao" when they were a such and such age then spent 40 or 50 years of zazen to bring greater clarity to there experience. Of course one of the difficult parts to this is not just having an awakening but then integrating what was experienced seamlessly into everyday life. Actually manifesting the experience. Of course, most people have probably never had the initial experience so can't work at perfecting it. To use an example, it sounds like Master Nan got Kensho when he was in his 20's then practiced for many decades and now supposedly has full Annutara Samyak Sambhodi Enlightenment. Adyashanti explains his awakening that I think happened when he was in his 30's but was that kensho or satori? It is possible to get satori all at once without Kensho first I read stories of Masters who did that but that is more rare. If I had to put this into terminolgy that makes any sense kensho seems to be dropping the ego momentarily and experiencing true nature but not completely believing the realization or "cleared up" the many defilements, attachments, emotional clinging etc. Enlightenment is like a total dropping of the ego/seperate self illusion and experiencing one's true nature at all times with perfect compassion and wisdom(personified as Manjushri and Avalokiteshvara).

LOL I still walk around in shorts and t-shirt. I lived on the east coast until I was 27 so it never really gets cold for me here.

It's difficult to break down intellectually. No real technique is involved. He does say you can use a method(such as watching the breath, mantra etc) until you get to the stage of just allowing being without any manipulation. His DVD's are a sort of "transmission" of sorts that goes beyond words that are spoken. If your interested I would suggest getting the retreats from Amazon.com at like $44 for a 5 day retreat they are a steal. If not, just try not manipulating or controling your experience whatsoever. Allow everything to be as it is. Just let everything be and go deeper into self surrender. One thing that did stick out is to try to let go of your personal will for awhile. Whatever "you" think is supposed to happen or you want to happen. Let that willfulness of the "me" go and try to trust that "it" knows what to do. I can't say too much else about it and hope that offers some clarity.

Does everything have to be a joke to you Yoda? Adyashanti is a profound human being and Bodri is also an amazing person who has spent alot of time translating Buddhist scriptures into English. I don't see either of them desiring to be " thrown into a ring" in order to settle any issues about who is "best". On a more serious note, I put $100 on Adya with a couple months training BJJ with sean in Oakland.

Pretty much the same as the True Meditation thread I posted. those are his exact words I put up there from the course.
